DALLAS — To her credit, LaQuinta L. Layton commemorated the second anniversary of becoming a first-time published author in remarkably extradionary fashion.
The Dallas/Fort Worth faith-based writer recently announced she has launched an audio version of EMERGENCE: From Grief To Glory, a spinoff of her highly-anticipated book that made its official debut in July 2021.

It’s where it was birthed. It took time and grit…but the outcome of the people it will heal makes it worth it.”

Officially released on July 26, 2021, Layton’s EMERGENCE: From Grief To Glory is a riveting, mesmerizing, spiritually gut-checking masterpiece that is accompanied by 126 pages. - EMERGENCE which, according to Layton, is defined as the process of coming into view or becoming exposed to something after it being concealed. It is also defined, she eloquently writes, as the process of coming into being, or of becoming important or prominent after being in a place of obscurity.
- GRIEF which, according to Layton, is an emotion that all seem to experience at some point in life. In a nutshell, this gifted author acknowledges, whether rich or poor, great, or seemingly insignificant, grief has a way of humbling us. - GLORY which, according to Layton, is defined as high renown or honor experience through triumphs. “Hard copy book sales are steady as new opportunities are arising,” said Layton, the architect of Grief Conversations, a Facebook-based platform where she facilitates what she describes as “pertinent elements of grief” and offer support to those in their grief journey.

A book that has given way to other empowerment opportunities — most notably appearing at a women’s conference in Flint, Michigan and witnessing a “growing interest in the topic of grief” via https://www.emergencefromgrief.com/ — Layton said her sophomore written work is forthcoming, although a timetable for its release has yet to be announced.
“(There is) another book that is in the beginning stages of writing,” Layton told MHN. “I’m excited to release more about it soon. But I want to give my first baby, EMERGENCE: From Grief To Glory, the time and attention it deserves.”
And rightfully so, especially now that the hardcopy version has some distinctly unique company — the ceremonious emergence of an audiobook.
“Nothing gives voice to a story quite like the author,” Layton said. “I believe this audiobook will breathe the authenticity in which I wrote of the pain and triumph I experienced, and hopefully resonates with the readers or — my grief journey friends as I call them — that it’s not only possible for them, it’s God’s will for them on the other side of grief.”
