She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. (Proverbs 16-19/NIV)
GRACE TO OVERCOME

Many — if not all — of us can greatly attest to the notion that we’ve experienced what could be approximately described as a beauty-for-ashes season of our lives.
Especially Natalie A. Solomon.
Consider, for instance, the slew of turbulence Solomon had endured, particularly during her sometimes-murky road to reaping sustained success as a thriving entrepreneur.
During a recent interview with Making Headline News, Solomon, a Bowie, Maryland-based businesswoman, vividly recalled how becoming an accomplished entrepreneur wasn’t merely an overnight breakthrough.

For the most part, it seemingly was an emotionally-driven, tear-jerking, grind-it-out odyssey, one by which she will never take for granted.
“My competitive drive was shaped by lived experience,” Solomon, 49, recalls. “While advancing a demanding federal career, I navigated multiple chronic illnesses, extensive surgeries, including brain surgery, and periods of extreme burnout. These experiences forced a pivotal realization: success without health is not success at all. That awakening became the catalyst for my business and message.”
Indeed, it has for Solomon, the architect of Meraki Life & Style, her credible wellness and lifestyle brand built on her signature philosophy: Secure Your Oxygen Mask First™.
Generally, through speaking, coaching, retreats, and curated wellness experiences, Solomon has become a fixture for customarily supporting what she deems high-achieving women, particularly those navigating burnout, chronic illness, and major life transitions, all of which would enable them to reclaim balance, purpose, and sustainable success.

An esteemed public health practitioner, Sacred Lifestyle Wellness Strategist™, speaker, and best-selling author in her own right, Solomon’s Meraki Life & Style routinely services women ranging in ages 35–to-60, although her message resonates with what he describes as “high-performing women across generations,” or those who are balancing leadership, health, ambition, and identity.
“My mission is to normalize self-preservation as a form of leadership,” Solomon told MHN. “Women should not have to burn themselves out to prove their worth.”
Interestingly enough, Solomon’s featured business endeavor has steadily attracted a widespread national presence, given her immeasurable work has thrust her on national speaking engagement platforms, leadership forums, wellness events, and has garnered a wave of media attention.
What even more astounding is that Solomon is starting to capture more a global audience through her featured brand, most notably through virtual programming and international retreats.
“What I love most is watching women give themselves permission to rest, reset, and rise without guilt,” Solomon said. “Helping women redefine success on their own terms is deeply fulfilling.”

A native of Allentown, Pennsylvania who was born to Jamaican immigrant parents, Solomon in 2000 relocated to the Washington, D.C.-metro area to pursue a career in healthcare and public health.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Africana Studies, Solomon acquired a Master of Public Health (MPH) — and received advanced public health training through — from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
Consequently, she completed her post-graduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health and is currently pursuing her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Leadership at Marymount University.
STEPPIN’ INTO GREATNESS

By all accounts, Solomon’s academic foundation is what ultimately laid the groundwork for a federal government stint that spans some 17 years.
To her credit, Solomon boasts 20 years in public health and wellness, and her entrepreneurial and speaking platform has steadily evolved organically, specifically by way of her professional expertise and lived experience.
“Inspiration is not just emotional. It’s transformative,” Solomon said. “When women feel seen and supported, they make healthier decisions for themselves, their families, and their communities. Inspiration is a form of service.”
