I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NIV)
SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST
While addressing the media Saturday morning, Dr. Estella Dior wasted little time issuing a rather direct message, coupled with a pivotal reminder to her fellow sistas.
So ya might wanna take heed.
“The single reason was to uplift and empower others (women) to know your past doesn’t determine your future,” Dior during an exclusive interview with Making Headline News, said, explaining vividly what fueled her fervent desire to become an empowerment author.
A Brunswick, Georgia-based author who’s had to press and navigate her way through a rash of obstacles — notably molestation, rape, teen pregnancy, and depression, among other turmoil — Dr. Dior deemed it essential to share of her spiritually-empowering testimonies with the recent release of her book entitled, “You Were Destined To Survive.”
A book that was officially released in October 2019, Dr. Dior’s “You Were Destined To Survive” depicts the lives of a number of women, many of whom have not only survived some of the most horrific traumas anyone can experience, but much to their delight, they were blessed to have overcome that through which they had endured.

According to a detailed introduction at Amazon.com, Dr. Dior’s book is appropriately described as a “compilation of stories,” many of which will take readers on a ride through the lives of 12 women who have gone to great lengths to share what this brilliant writer describes as their “darkest secrets,” or those “dark moments” that subsequently led them to truly walking and living in their light.
“One thing each of these women has in common is that they are true overcomers and they refuse to allow the toughest circumstances keep them down,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Dr. Dior’s “You Were Destined To Survive.’ “The only time you’ll find these women kneeling is to pray and give thanks to God for bringing them so far.”
A book that is comprised of 177 pages in lengths, Dr. Dior began composing “You Were Destined To Survive” sometime in January 2017 and needed somewhere in the neighborhood of a year and a half to complete a project that will be on display during her upcoming book signing April 4 at 6 p.m. EST at the newly-erected La Quinta by Wyndham Brunswick/Golden Isles, located at 100 Capital Square Drive in Brunswick.
When asked what the single is, most underlying reason she elected to write “You Were Destined To Survive,” Dr. Dior, a native of Miami, said: “In life, we all have struggles called survival moments. But that’s when God will reach way down to pull you from your valley experiences.”

Dr. Dior’s “You Were Destined To Survive” is her third published work to date.
In 2005, she made her authorship debut when she wrote “Everyday Grace, Everyday Miracles.” Consequently, she released “Diary Of A Street Princess” in 2013.
Now that she’s approximately six months removed from having witnessed the release of Book No. 3, chances are Dr. Dior will write and release other books as a strategic way to encourage and empower the masses, not to mention as an effective way to advance the kingdom mightily.
“This book is the sole purpose of God creating me, to empower, uplift and share my journey,” said Dr. Dior, adding that her memoir entitled, ‘I had To Die To Live Again’ is presently in the works. “The feedback has been amazing and (readers have told me) it’s helping and empowering and really inspiring them.”
Interestingly, a vital portion of Dr. Dior’s story includes having once been incarcerated with Alice Marie Johnson, whom actress Kim Kardashian reportedly helped garner clemency after she was sentenced to life in prison for a nonviolent drug offense in 1996.
“I also did time with Mint Pearl Thomas, and Tina, which are D. Thomas’ mother and grandmother,” Dr. Dior recalled. “To witness God move in these women’s lives, to be given life and two life sentences and to see day light. (This is why I want to) help express the stories I’m sharing, that even in our survival moments, (God’s) there.”
So ya might wanna take heed.
