If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, Who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. (James 1:5 NKJV)
A KINGDOM GAME-CHANGER
DALLAS — Katrina Chalmers appropriately grasped the vision to compose her latest book sometime in January 2021.
And, just like that, her awe-inspiring written work seems well on its way to creating a fervent buzz, most notably throughout the Body of Christ.
With Calibrate 2022 looming — a two-day assembly that will be hosted by the Church of God In Christ’s International Youth Department March 11-12 in Dallas — Chalmers “scrambled to do final edits and get to printer” The Best You Tween-Teen Pocket Guide, her highly-anticipated sophomore book that figures to be as good as advertised upon its official release.
In some aspects, it already is.
A native Memphian who is suitably known by the pen name, “K. D. Poston,” Chalmers self-published The Best You Tween-Teen Pocket Guide, a remarkably brilliant and informative written work that is geared largely towards children of all ages, the Mid-South-based writer told Making Headline News this week.

“Many children are falling through the cracks because teen parents do not have the experience or tools for good parenting,” Chalmers said. “The single most underlying purpose of this book is to bridge the gap by providing useful information and tools that children can apply in their lives, no matter what circumstances they were born to.”
A riveting, enthralling published document Chalmers needed somewhere in the neighborhood of 11 months to compose — she began authoring her latest book in January 2021, then finished the manuscript and acquired official copyrights on the year’s final day — The Best You Tween-Teen Pocket Guide comes amid Chalmer’s personal pledge to her Creator.
“I hit the copyright button around 10:30 p.m. and kept my vow to God that I would finish by midnight, December 31, 2021,” Chalmers recalls.
Much to her delight, Chalmers — whose book is foreword by clergywoman, Reverend Earma J. Lane — has become the beneficiary of a rash of rave reviews since word spread of her second book to date.
Chalmers in 2017 witnessed her ceremonious authorship debut come full circle with the much-anticipated release of COULD IT BE?…The Answers To Questions Of All Ages.

Other books, she said, are on the horizon, much sooner than later.
“I have a notebook full of book ideas,” Chalmers told MHN. “One storyline was copyrighted in 2016.”
As for Chalmers’ latest project, she emphasized, among other things, that The Best You Tween-Teen Pocket Guide emerged out of an act of obedience to God Almighty, for the most part.
And, if God said it…well…that settles it.
“The way God said it to me: Preteens between the ages of nine and 13 can still be influenced to learn and apply good principles that will help them be their best selves in life,” Chalmers said. “Good change will start with them. I responded, ‘But some teens who want more will listen,’ and that’s when I got the green light to include ‘Teen’ in the book title.”
And the rest, as they say, was history.
Now just days away from The Best You Tween-Teen Pocket Guide making its highly-anticipated release, Chalmers doesn’t shy away from the notion that she can’t merely take lightly that God has strategically assigned her to produce a book that figures to enrich and change a generation.
For generations to come.

“My God-given talents include the ability to write well,” Chalmers said. “Helping young people is also one of my passions. So, I’m very certain these are two reasons why the vision was laid upon my heart.”
A memorable, life-enhancing vision she grasped sometime in January 2021.
And, for that reason, her awe-inspiring written work seems well on its way to creating a fervent buzz, most notably throughout the Body of Christ.
Come to think of it, it already is.
WHAT HAVE OTHERS SAID ABOUT CHALMER’S NEW BOOK
Bishop Andrew Jackson, Sr., Founding Pastor, Faith Temple Ministries Church of God In Christ: “It is fantastic! It is fantastic! Every young person should have a copy. I think with the many problems they will encounter, it gives them some sense of how to deal with them.”
Reverend Earma J. Lane, Interim Pastor, Stones River United Methodist Church: “Overall, I see The Best You Tween-Teen Pocket Guide as a great tool for young people. It is informative, encouraging, and truthful. It does not sugar coat important topics such as sex trafficking, money matters, and personal responsibility. This book lets them know they are worthy and capable of living a great life. It helps them to understand that no matter how their lives began, they’re in the driver’s seat and will be accountable for their decisions and destinations.”
Elder Ivory Jackson, Sr., Senior Pastor, Faith Temple Ministries Church of God In Christ: “I love it! We’ll be using it in our Children’s Ministry during Wednesday Bible Study and will cover a chapter each week.”
Superintendent Andrew Jackson, Jr., Senior Pastor, West Irving Church of God In Christ: “Love it. It is much needed.”
