Just recently, Erica Bruce was reminiscing, among other things, about how God has brought her from a long way.
A mighty long way, mind you.
Suddenly, Bruce then paused then eloquently offered what she describes as three keys to success.
As usual, Bruce, a preacher’s wife and devoted mother of three (Isaiah,19; Markell, 15; Nevaeh, 10) wasted little time revealing the first of three keys.
“Putting God first,” Bruce, an Anderson, South Carolina native, told Making Headline News during a recent interview.
Consequently, she shared the next two effectively strategic keys, both of which, like the initial one, have afforded her the golden opportunity to possess and savor the abundant life Christ came to give her.
“And despite what you’re up against,” Bruce said in sharing the second key to success. “And being great in every phase of life (the third key).”
The Bible says, ‘This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therin day and night; that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success,’” Bruce continued while referencing that passage that is Joshua.
Interesting enough, is it due in large part to Bruce’s steadfast commitment to demonstrating her faith daily that has greatly given way to her enjoying the fruits of her labor through entrepreneurship.
Having become fully licensed through the Virginia College School of Cosmetology last year, Bruce’s business-related achievements include presently being a licensed travel agent through InteleTravel.
As a key affiliate for InteleTravel, Bruce is allowed to sell travel to anyone, including herself. In addition, she is armed with the flexibility to book cruises, vacations, hotels, all-inclusive resorts, tours, airline tickets, car rentals and more. What’s an more astounding is that she has the luxury of earning a commission based on the travel packages she sells.

“InteleTravel gives you the opportunity to benefit from your love of travel,” a spokesperson for the company said. “When you become an independent travel agent with InteleTravel and you’ll make a profit – guaranteed.”
For Bruce, whose business-oriented goals and ambitions are starting to take shape in large part because of the tireless support of her husband, Pastor Les Bruce, she credits her steadfast commitment to persevering and defying some of the greatest of odds as the reasons God is yet blessing her through her latest business venture.
A once high school dropout who had abandoned her education to care for her child as a teenager, Bruce also was victimized by domestic violence and often ran away from home as a way to seek some of sort of remedy and outlet for the tumultuous obstacles and peer pressure she had endured as a youngster.
You name it. She faced it.
A parent strung out on alcohol.
Being placed to a foster home.
Teenage pregnancy.
Domestic abuse.
Divorce.
The ongoing challenges that come with running a single-parent home.
Not to mention being stricken by Ovarian cancer months after her wedding three years ago.
“And through all this, we have been married now for three years,” said Erica Bruce, reminiscing once again about how God has brought her from a long way.
A mighty long way, mind you.
All things considered, this progressively resourceful businesswoman doesn’t shy away from the notion that had it not been for the Lord on her side, she doesn’t know where she’d be.
To her credit, she diligently sought and stuck with God.
Through it all.
All of which explains why Erica Bruce has come up with another strategic plan for the remainder of this year — and beyond.
Like her keys to success, her featured plan has been compiled in a group of three.
“Enjoying life to the fullest…continue to enjoy the blessings God had given me…and fulfilling my purpose with what God would have me to do,” she said.
In that God-given order.
