GET YA MIND RIGHT
For starters, Daniel J. Williams displayed a few videos via social media.
It wasn’t long thereafter that a full-blown book had emerged, courtesy of his immeasurable gift of empowering others to become better versions of themselves.
“God gave me the vision to write this book in 2016,” Williams, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments surrounding his latest authorship endeavor. “I started doing morning encouragement live on Facebook and decided, ‘Why not do a book like this?’ My confirmation came from someone who listened to my daily live (footage) and came to me with the suggestion of writing and publishing a 30-day devotional.”
Thanks in large part to his God-manifested vision, Williams’ Think On Your Thoughts Volume II has come full circle, the Sumter, South Carolina-based author’s latest written work that has been as good as advertised since its ceremonious release.

As part of Making Headline News’ 2023 Essence Music Festival advance coverage leading to the “the party with a purpose” event June 29-July 3 in New Orleans, Williams emphasized, among other things, he had become greatly inspired to spearhead a spiritually-empowering devotional to help offer God and His guidance in a way that wasn’t with the usual approach of being absolutely church.
Mission accomplished for the Sumter native whom, much to his delight, has become the beneficiary of a slew of rave reviews since the debut of his latest book.
“I’m humbled every time I read a comment that there’s so much wisdom within the pages of this book,” Williams said. “It was my desire to change mindsets and perspectives, but the reception has been more than I anticipated. Of course, I wanted the book to be received, but I couldn’t imagine the effect it would have.
“I just thank God for His guidance in its development and birth. The same goes for the podcast. I’m humbled by all the compliments and comments. Although I intended for it to be men exclusively, there seems to be a number of women that have responded with remarks of ‘thank you’ as well.”
In essence, Williams’ Think On Your Thoughts Volume II is a book for “everyone” and carries a message for everyone, not just men.
“The message is that we are the creators of ourselves and our realities through our thoughts and what we think on,” Williams explained. “When you don’t like something about you, your habits, your relationships, or your surroundings, then change the thoughts you’re thinking on to change, the experiences, and tangibles of your world.”
Other books, Williams said, are forthcoming.
“I have several titles already written for upcoming books, ranging from unexpected fatherhood for young men, mind battles of spiritual warfare, to showing how health and performance affect not just our bodies, but also our relationships to our personal economy.”
WILLIAMS THE PODCASTER
To his credit, Williams’ is the mastermind behind The Act Accordingly Series podcast, a rising empowerment platform he’s suitably dubbed “an intentional concentration” on men for the purpose of talking about what they don’t know how to address, not to mention a one that addresses what to avoid addressing.

“Society and culture have lost their way because men of standard, character, and the integrity of grooming other men to be men have been lost,” Williams said of his podcast. “I want to do my part in the resuscitation of that man.”
As Williams recalls, the idea of podcasting arose sometime in 2019.
“In my mind, hosting a podcast was the obvious progression from doing (live videos via) Facebook,” he said. “Words are impactful when you read them and hear them. So, I was like I can do both.
“God created me to be an encourager and a communicator. We tend to look at these two things as something that’s only done verbally, but there’s also the nonverbal encouragement and communication that are impactful in the people’s lives that I meet. It’s God’s Spirit though the words in the books, my voice on the podcast, and the in-person interaction or video that spark the desire to follow through with making changes with themselves.”
