Longtime Dallas/Fort Worth philanthropist Dr. Keisha Williams-Lankford has announced she is spearheading The Avenue 25th Anniversary Gala for The Avenue Proactive Resource Center, Inc.
The co-founder and CEO of Lankford Avenue Counseling Agency, LLC and The Avenue Proactive Resource Center, Inc., this gala will be co-hosted by Dr. Lankford and her husband, Dr. Oliver Lankford.
Powered by The Avenue PRC, Inc., The Avenue 25th Anniversary Gala will take place October 15 from 4-8 p.m. CST at Unique Visions Upscale Events, located at 324 S. Hampton Road in DeSoto, Texas.
“At the Gala, prepare to be dazzled by captivating performances, exquisite cuisine, and a vibrant atmosphere. In addition, the Lankfords said The Avenue PRC staffers have collectively organized an evening they describe as “combines sophistication with fun, ensuring that you’ll have an amazing time.”
“So mark your calendars and get ready to experience an evening of elegance and celebration at the Gala event,” Dr. Keisha Williams-Lankford said.
Also, The Avenue 25th Anniversary Gala will include live entertainment, vendors, food, and an open bar.
Proceeds for the gala will benefit the students of Southern Dallas County, the Lankfords told MHN.
Avenue PRC is a proactive organization that helps youth make wise decisions.

Interestingly enough, The Avenue has become a fixture throughout the years for working with youth facing what they call at risk conditions.
“We provide life-changing classes for youth,” said a spokesperson for The Avenue. “Our desire is to give our young people an opportunity to thrive and experience a better quality of life.”
Generally, The Avenue Proactive Resource Center, Inc. is widely regarded as the sister company for Lankford Avenue, their Dallas/Fort Worth-area nonprofit organization whose strategic mission is centered largely on helping youth and families to help themselves, according to an introduction of this venture on its Facebook business page.

A native of Dallas, Dr. Oliver Lankford is a United States Marine veteran who works primarily as a Certified Family Violence Facilitator for Lankford Avenue Inc.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington and Trinity Valley Baptist College and Seminary, Dr. Oliver’s community-based contributions include (but aren’t limited to) hosting what is known as Domestic Violence To the Hoop Basketball Tournaments, Stomp Teen Violence Anti-bullying events, domestic violence awareness cell phone drives, domestic violence poster contests during which he customarily inviting youth to openly dialogue and use expression on the subject on family violence, and speaking to churches, schools, and communities about healthy relationships and stopping the hurt in the home.

“Because we should never want to hurt the one’s that we love,” Dr. Oliver emphasized.
