With a $500 price tag, Maryland author Prophetess Dr. Anita Naves’ “Pardon Me! Prophecy Is Not Of Man” is a ‘must buy!’

For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 KJV)

WALKING IN HER DESTINY

ALL GOD’S DOING — A little less than one year removed from his its much-anticipated release, Prophetess Dr. Anita G. Naves’ “Pardon Me! Prophecy Is Not Of Man” has caught the attention of a host of celebs, most notably renowned Gospel recording artist Pastor Shirley Caesar.

Prophetess Dr. Anita G. Naves recalls like yesterday how it all went down, remembers vividly how her employer had unceremoniously given her the dreaded pink slip.

“God gave me the vision to write the book in 2010 after I was laid off from the Prince George’s County Public School system as a result of a reduction in force,” Naves, a Maryland-based author and businesswoman, told Making Headline News this week.
The book to which Naves is referencing is “Pardon Me! Prophecy Is Not Of Man,” a basic spiritual guide to understanding the divine gift of the ministry of prophecy, its power, its purpose, and its prophets.

THE PRICE IS RIGHT

WORTH THE MONEY — Naves goes to great lengths to share her experience of being awaken into a heavenly trance, where she was specifically instructed to listen, take notes, and to write this book on behalf of God’s heart desire, to let the world know that He is the Ministry Gift of prophecy. Moreover, Naves — as mandated by God — raises awareness and provides sound biblical credibility to the workings and execution of God’s plans for His ministry gift of prophecy and His prophets. The cost for this awe-inspiring and life-changing book: $500.

Officially released on August 17, 2018, Naves’ “Pardon Me! Prophecy Is Not Of Man” is deemed an inspiring tribute to what this Christian-based writer labels “the divine and empowering supernatural” ministry gift of prophecy,” according to a detail introduction of this book by Author House.

Naves’ project is widely regarded as history-making one, considering it is believed to be that no book in American history has sold for $500 multiple times over.

Labeled a “miracle book,” Naves’ written work may be purchased for a lesser amount from Authorhouse, she said. But those who have purchased the book directly from the author at $500 have reported what she describes as amazing “financial and healing breakthroughs” in areas of their lives, where stagnation had set in.
Also, Talent Scots for New Readers International along with MGM studios have sought Naves for a movie screen adaptation deal. This author, in fact, was told that her book rated highly for best new author for screen adaptation offer.

Interestingly, Naves goes to great lengths to share her experience of being awaken into a heavenly trance, where she was specifically instructed to listen, take notes, and to write this book on behalf of God’s heart desire, to let the world know that He is the Ministry Gift of prophecy. Moreover, Naves — as mandated by God — raises awareness and provides sound biblical credibility to the workings and execution of God’s plans for His ministry gift of prophecy and His prophets.

The cost for this awe-inspiring and life-changing book: $500.

Nope, this is no typo, mind you.

Rather, for Naves, the unorthodox price tag for this book was mandated by God Almighty Himself.

And if God said it, that settles it.

How else to explain why much to Naves’ delight, more than a dozen consumers have already invested in “Pardon Me! Prophecy Is Not Of Man” which, to her credit, undoubtedly is a sign of things to come for a book that is steadily having a massive kingdom impact.

“Everything in my life at that time seemed to be going wrong,” said Naves, recalling the assortment of hardships she endured before God had strategically assigned her to compose her new book. “But it was in that moment God started to tell me that He would reframe my spiritual beliefs with really knowing His word and understanding Bible and really knowing His voice.”

Consequently, it wasn’t long thereafter that Naves began to establish more of a close-knit relationship with God during her season in the wilderness.

“The Holy Spirit led me to a Christian church Bible college in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, where I begin to learn and study the Bible on another level,” Naves explained. “While at the same time, God was speaking to me about the gift of prophecy within me, telling me how He would perfect it all the more, so I could teach truth to others in a more perfected way.”

For Naves, such teachings arose, courtesy of her newly-produced book which, truth be told, is worth the $500 price of admission.

MAKING GLOBAL HEADLINES

“God gave me the vision to write the book in 2010 after I was laid off from the Prince George’s County Public School system as a result of a reduction in force,” Naves, a Maryland-based author and businesswoman, told Making Headline News this week.

“The vision for book started to emerge in within me like a roast cooking in a crock pot to perfection over several years with God adding the special ingredients,” said Naves, who needed somewhere in the neighborhood of six years to complete her book.

Ironically, her vision for assembling “Pardon Me! Prophecy Is Not Of Man” arose amid an emotionally-driven fantasy, this devout woman of faith, recalls.

“I felt compelled to write the book after I had a dream that I went to heaven and was sitting before God’s Face, listening to Him tell me about How He wanted the truth to be known about the spirit gift of prophecy and His real prophets in the earth versus the fake deceiving ones,” Naves explained. “In the dream, I was surrounded by pure bright lights…the brightest I have never seen before in earth.

“These dreams came at several times of the early morning until I finally got up and started journaling the information that had been downloaded in my spirit. God told in the dream that I could be trusted to speak from truth…not from man’s perspective, but from His heart’s perspective, backing it up with solid Bible scripture.”

And the rest, as they say, was history.

A little less than one year removed from his its much-anticipated release, Naves’ “Pardon Me! Prophecy Is Not Of Man” has caught the attention of a host of celebs, most notably renowned Gospel recording artist Pastor Shirley Caesar.

Also, Naves has announced that other written works are on the horizon and are expected to be released as early as next year.

“I am currently working on putting the finishing touches on them,” said Naves, referring to her forthcoming project entitled, “PARTY With Me,” which is a motivational journal of self-acceptance through God’s love.

ALL SMILES NOW — Officially released on August 17, 2018, Naves’ “Pardon Me! Prophecy Is Not Of Man” is deemed an inspiring tribute to what this Christian-based writer labels “the divine and empowering supernatural” ministry gift of prophecy,” according to a detail introduction of this book by Author House.

Naves other upcoming book is “Pssst…Follow The Clues,” which will address how to discern possible relationship incompatibilities by paying attention to the clues.

“God keeps surprising me with signs, wonders, and miracles, even in the midst of trials,” Naves said. “I knew the book was powerful when I got fired from my job in 2009.

“It feels like I’m living a dream,” Naves continued.

Surely, with God, all things are possible, as this brilliantly gifted author has discovered.

Young Dayton, Ohio businesswoman Tara Brown walking fervently in her purpose as an entrepreneur

I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. (Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV)

BROWN HOLDIN’ IT DOWN

DESTINY STEPS — Now that she has overcome an array of odds, now that she is walking fervently in her divine purpose, there’s no turning back for 29-year-old Ohio entrepreneur Tara Brown, who is the owner and CEO of Metiamay Visions.

Tara Brown fielded the question as if she expected it.

“I failed lots of times before getting here,” Brown, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, when asked how her competitive drive fueled her desire to start a business. “I started several other businesses before getting to this point of where I have success. My will to never give up, faith in God, and the determination to never work for anyone again brought me here.”

Now that she’s arrived, now that she has overcome an array of odds, now that she is walking fervently in her divine purpose, there’s no turning back for this 29-year-old entrepreneur, who is the owner and CEO of Metiamay Visions.

MORE ON TARA BROWN’S BUSINESS: https://metiamayvisions.com/

A business that officially went into operations earlier this year, Brown’s Dayton, Ohio-based Metiamay Visions has become a globally-acclaimed fixture as the home of professional refined designs and images.

You name it, her company does it, creating virtually everything from:

  • Business Cards

  • Banners (vinyl or car door, magnets or mouse pads

  • E-Flyers (promo dds)

  • Custom Invitations

  • Media Imaging and Portrait Framing

  • Media Flyers

  • Website Building and Branding

  • Real Image Logos

  • Commercial Vinyl Banners

  • Book Cover Designs

  • Brochures

  • Business Starter Pro (Small Business Branding/Development)

  • Trademark and LLC Registration and,

  • Design You (“Anything not listed above that you want to customize such as spiral bound notebooks or custom made cards and more,” Brown said).

“I like my business, because I get to do everything I’ve always wanted to do in my business,” Brown said. “I apply my natural skill for business and communicating with the world. I am free to be as creative as I want. There are no limits and I get to travel, seeing the world, bringing my services to those who have never heard about me, or maybe they are looking for a better way to get services and not pay those ridiculous overrated prices that my competitors offer.”

A native of Detroit, amongst the things about which Brown is extremely grateful is that she steadfastly stepped out on faith in delving off into entrepreneurship.

Prior to starting Metiamay Visions, Brown had assumed the role of a freelance graphic designer for approximately three years.

“I decided that enough was enough and I put all my life skills and different job experiences into one space and Metiamay Visions was born,” Brown said.

And the rest, as they say, was history.

FOLLOWING GOD’S PLAN

Today, Brown’s rising venture accommodates small business owners, entrepreneurs, corporate companies, and services individuals and groups, ranging from the ages of their mid-20’s through their late 60’s.

And, to her credit, her brilliant expertise has given way to her having been afforded the golden opportunity to put her immeasurable skills on display in a host of establishments, including Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, and Alabama, among other places.

Because she’s fully persuaded she’s fulfilling the purpose for which God created her, Brown is confident the sky’s undoubtedly the limit for her newly-erected business.

“I enjoy this work, because it’s something that I love doing and I get to help everyday people grow their dream as well through the work they request from my business,” Brown said. “I’ve launched about five successful online and ecommerce businesses through my work. I’m changing the world one person at a time by starting and changing one new business at a time with my designs and images.”

Behind the unyielding support of her husband, David Brown — whom Brown said told her, “My husband says I should have done this a long time ago and he’s right” — this young Ohio businesswoman said the pivotal factor for starting her business came from a gallery of her peers.

“(I kept) hearing others just like me, who were lost and confused and not knowing where to start to get their business or professional image for their business at,” Brown explained. So I have to say from within.”

Now that Metiamay Visions is up and running, Brown appears destined to go full throttle with her starting lineup of endeavors, which include her being an accomplished author, who’s preparing to release her second book later this year.

JUST WARMING UP — Now that Metiamay Visions is up and running, Brown appears destined to g full throttle with her starting lineup of endeavors, which include her being an accomplished author, who’s preparing to release her second book later this year.

In addition, she’s scheduled to attend business expos in the foreseeable future in Chicago, Phoenix, and Atlanta, and she recently spoke at Ohio Media School, during which she enlightened students on the field of media and introduced them her services.

“I welcomed my first group of interns that are now a part of my team,” Brown said of her recent visit to that institution.

For what it’s worth, Brown is blessed of the notion that she stayed true to herself, stayed the course, trusted the process and, most of all, followed her dreams.

“I’m glad I’m finally exposed, because now people know it’s official. I’m a successful businesswoman now,” Brown said.

Fielding the question as if she expected it.

Dallas/Fort Worth-area gospel recording artist Kenny Skinner’s debut single released eight years after his mother’s passing

A MAKING HEADLINE NEWS VALENTINE’S DAY 2018 SPECIAL REPORT

DALLAS — Valentine’s Day 2018 is one about which Kenny Skinner will remember for years to come.

Probably for the rest of his life.

Credit a few key members of his family and the single, most underlying reason why.

MOM KNOWS BEST — To his distinctly unique credit, that his mother kept him surrounded mostly in a Christian-oriented environment essentially proved beneficial for Dallas/Fort Worth-area gospel recording artist Kenny Skinner, an accomplished gospel singer and the mastermind behind his recently-released debut single entitled, “More Like You.”

“I have great support from my family,” Skinner, the Music Director of Empowered Outreach Church in Denton, Texas (Senior Pastor Kenneth D. Davis) said during an exclusive interview this week with Making Headline News. “I’m fortunate to have both grandmothers living. They are my number one supporters.  They both keep me grounded.”

Much to his delight and most importantly, Skinner has his beloved mother, Dianne Mitchell Skinner, to thank for having arguably the biggest impact on his life.

A proud preacher’s kid who is a native of nearby Longview, Texas, Skinner was brought up in the historic Church of God In Christ, during which so he was a fixture for the Young People Willing Workers Department (or YPWW), not to mention a regular attendee of Sunday School, morning and evening worship services, midweek Bible Study, as well as the Sunshine Band and Purity Class.

A song that is powered by his debut forthcoming album entitled, “Kenny Skinner Forty Eight,” Skinner’s featured spiritual hit was officially released on February 2 — ironically on his 40th birthday — and a little more than eight years since his beloved, big-hearted angel departed this earth for her heavenly reward.

Widely regarded as his “best friend” and inspiration, Mitchell Skinner passed away on January 23, 2010 at the tender age of 58.

Aside from having instilled in her son some rich, life-enhancing godly principles, Mitchell Skinner was also responsible for paving the way for her son through the gospel music industry, considering she was a devoted musician in her own right.

GLOBAL PRESENCE — Skinner has been fortunate to have toured overseas with some amazingly gifted artists. He was originally on tour to play keys, but ended up singing as well. “That’s when I found my new passion to sing,” he said. Pictured with Skinner in Europe (from left to right): Knagui Damon, Racheal Clifton, Andrea Lawrence, La’La Johnson and Skinner.

“She’d have me on the stool as she would play during service,” Skinner recalled. “I think that’s where the passion of music was cultivated.”

Interestingly, Mitchell Skinner, was a praise and worship fixture in the Body of Christ, most notably as a longtime musician for her father, late Superintendent F. L. Mitchell.

“When my father was called to ministry, he wanted my mother to come along with him; however, that’d left my grandfather without a musician,” Skinner explained. “My mother prayed and asked God to send her father a musician so that she could honor my dad’s request, not knowing that (through God), I’d be the answered prayer.”

PAVED THE WAY — Widely regarded as his “best friend” and inspiration, Mitchell Skinner passed away on January 23, 2010 at the tender age of 58. Aside from having instilled in her son some rich, life-enhancing godly principles, Mitchell Skinner was also responsible for paving the way for her son through the gospel music industry, considering she was a devoted musician.

Indeed Skinner was the answer to a much-needed prayer request. Never mind he was only seven years of age and hadn’t spent one minute taking piano lessons. Because at the end of the real day, what he had ultimately discovered is that had been strategically set him aside for God’s use.

“God blessed me with the gift to play the piano,” Skinner said. “I would travel all across the world with my grandfather.  Both of my grandfathers were singers as well. My other grandfather was a musician, so I’ve been truly blessed to carry both legacies.”

Consequently, Skinner was offered the opportunity to be my mother’s care giver during the final seven months of her life.

“I saw things that no children should ever have to witness,” Skinner said.

A preacher’s kid who is a native of nearby Longview, Texas, Kenny Skinner was brought up in the historic Church of God In Christ, during which so he was a fixture for YPWW, not to mention a regular attendee of Sunday School, morning and evening worship services, midweek Bible Study, as well as the Sunshine Band and Purity Class.

For what it’s worth, Skinner’s intimate time with his mother month’s before she expired essentially had provided him with a newfound disposition on life — the sort of change that  eventually fueled his desire to serve God unlike never before, especially through his immeasurable and globally-acclaimed music talents.

Credit a few key members of his family and the single, most underlying reason why.

Especially good ole Mama Skinner.

“We really didn’t have a choice,” said Skinner, referring to his notable upbringing and heavy involvement in the church. “I was also the musician for both of my grandfather’s churches. I have five siblings. My mother had two sets of twins.  I’m one of them (twin sister).  We had Sunday School on the way to church and, if we didn’t learn the memory verse, my mother would pinch us under the arms.”

SHE’S TRULY MISSED — For what it’s worth, Skinner’s intimate time with his mother month’s before she expired essentially had provided him with a newfound disposition on life — the sort of change that had eventually fueled his desire to serve God unlike never before through his immeasurable music talents.

As it turned out, those customary pinches, coupled with his mother’s unyielding support, benefited Skinner mightily throughout the years.

Now we know why.

Having witnessed God positioning him for ministry at a relatively early age — “I just wasn’t fully ready to totally surrender,” Skinner admitted — this young PK had finally sold out to his Creator on May 22, 2016, a development that eventually gave way to him preaching his first sermon.

Never mind that while a college undergrad, he was carjacked at gun point.

WELL DONE — All that matters today is that Dianne Mitchell Skinner’s beloved son has not only sold out completely to God, but he’s successfully carrying out his mother’s well-publicized legacy in the process. Yep. That’s just like God.

Never mind that he literally saw his life flash before him.

“All I remember saying was, ‘The Blood of Jesus,’” Skinner said. “That was scary.  Even though God brought me out, I still was straddling the fence. I didn’t truly surrender until the passing of my mom.  That’s when life became real to me.”

The rest, as they say, was history.

Because all that matters today is that Dianne Mitchell Skinner’s beloved son has not only sold out completely to God, but he’s successfully carrying out her well-publicized legacy in the process.

Yep. That’s just like God.

“My prayer is that the song not only ministers, but inspires the listener to become more like Christ,” Skinner said of his newly-released debut single. “We’re living in a society where Christianity is becoming less and less popular. As followers of Christ, we have a responsibility to live a life that pleasing to the Father.

Much to his delight and most importantly, Skinner has his beloved mother, Dianne Mitchell Skinner, to thank for having arguably the biggest impact on his life.

“”As we align ourselves according to the Father’s will, others would be drawn to him,” added Skinner, who’s currently working on new music projects that are scheduled to be released later this year.

Finally, this young psalmist deemed it essential to go into preaching mode, of sorts which, come to think of it, isn’t merely a surprise, considering he hails from a family full of preachers.

“We are the salt of the earth: but if the salt has lost his savor, wherewith shall it be salted?” said Skinner, reciting the familiar passage that is Matthew 5:13. “It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.”

All things considered, credit a few key members of his family and the single, most underlying reason why Skinner is determined to live — and sing — for Almighty God.

All things considered, there’s no doubt that Valentine’s Day 2018 is one about which he will remember for years to come.

Probably for the rest of his life.

Chesapeake, Virginia author Charmin Y. Anderson writes awe-inspiring book, quickly emerges on Amazon Best Seller list

We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. (Romans 15:1)

For what’s it worth, Charmin Y. Anderson is widely regarded as a person who goes to great lengths to reach back and diligently aid others to reconnect with their God-given worth, all while maximizing their full potential.

VISION UNFOLDING — Once a domestic abuse victim who can fully attest what it’s like to defy arguably the toughest of odds, author Charmin Y. Once a domestic abuse victim who can fully attest what it’s like to defy arguably the toughest of odds, Anderson, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, spoke in great detail about how God had strategically given her the vision to make her much-anticipated authorship debut, one that was culminated with the  inspiring book entitled, Behind My Smile: Every Woman’s Worst Nightmare.

Powered by Cannon Publishing, Anderson’s Behind My Smile: Every Woman’s Worst Nightmare depicts this writer’s assortment of tear-jerking experiences, most notably those whereby the victims’ gruesome and dreaded circumstances could potentially lead to them making the kind of choices that could ultimately cause their paths in life to change substantially, as mentioned in a detailed description of Anderson’s book at Amazon.com.

“Regardless, it takes unwavering courage to be able to admit that the choices you chose that impacted the lives of the people you love the most were wrong,” said a spokesperson for Anderson’s book that was officially released in September 2017.

All things considered, what’s so astounding about Anderson’s Behind My Smile: Every Woman’s Worst Nightmare is that her 68-page written document is dominated by an array of transparency, a trend she’s persuaded will enrich and inspire others mightily, especially those who share similar encounters as this New Jersey-born writer and businesswoman.

“Truth is, hiding behind my choices caused more pain than being honest,” Anderson explained. “I allowed fear to marinate and take root in places in my life because keeping secrets was a program that was embedded in me years ago. However, every program can be rewritten and updated.”

KEEPIN’ IT REAL — All things considered, what’s so astounding about Anderson’s Behind My Smile: Every Woman’s Worst Nightmare is that her 68-page written document is dominated by an array of transparency, a trend she’s persuaded will aid and inspire others mightily, especially those who share similar encounters as this New Jersey-born writer.

Regardless, Anderson, even to this very day, can boldly profess that she has reaped the favorable results she so desperately sought, thanks in large part to her quest to conquer and outlast the spirit of fear.

“Program Fear has been terminated and replaced with the program called Freedom,” Anderson customarily says with such humility and humbleness.

More than anything, Anderson emphasized, she’s destined to help impact lives through her new book — you know, to bear the infirmities of the weak, as God’s commands us through His life-enhancing word.

“I want to let every woman who has been through domestic violence or any form of abuse to know that they are not alone,” said Anderson, who currently resides in Chesapeake, Virginia. “In my book, I opened up and became vulnerable to the world by standing up against fear.”

As for the feedback she’s garnered since the release of her new project, it’s safe to assume that Anderson surely did not disappoint, considering she was thrust upon the Amazon Best Seller list within a span of roughly 15 minutes after the release of her book.

“Everyone who has given me feedback loved it,” Anderson said. “(And) I have been booked multiple times for speaking engagements.”

Interestingly, Anderson announced that her second book is presently in the works. The title: When Dead Flowers Still Bloom.

YOU GO GIRL!!! As for the feedback she’s garnered since the release of her new project, well, it’s safe to assume that Anderson surely did not disappoint, considering she was thrust upon the Amazon Best Seller list within a span of roughly 15 minutes after the release of her book.

Also, her latest speaking engagement pertaining to her book is scheduled for this weekend in Charlotte at the Unmasking The Truth About Domestic Violence event.

“My assignment is to help others help others by sharing my story,” Anderson said. “Telling my story is a struggle and I still cry sometimes. But if I can inspire and empower someone to help someone else, then a community of movement takes place. What would happen if we could activate and build a movement of movement?”

Not to mention bear the infirmities of the weak, as God’s commands us through His life-enhancing word?

‘Extraordinary’ Alabama radio personality/TV show host Sybil Sloan impacting countless lives while functioning mightily in her element

Earlier this week, Sybil Sloan took to her Facebook page, where she assembled a rather intriguing, awe-inspiring post.

WOMAN OF EXCELLENCE — Widely regarded as a “Motivational Speaker of Extraordinary Inspiration,” Accomplished Life Coach Sybil Sloan is a radio personality for Praise965.com and is the host for Breaking Through Your NOW Show that is aired frequently on the YouTube Channel. Also, Sloan is the host of The Breaking Through Your NOW Show as well as The NOW Coach: Breaking Through Your NOW Show, which airs every Tuesday at 5:30 a.m. CST on Montgomery’s CW 22.

She was feeling mostly “energized,” as she insinuated in a Facebook Live video that generated hundreds of views.

A social media video she installed amid various inclement weather-related school closings in her area of Montgomery, Alabama, Sloan thought it necessary to inspire the masses as only she could.

“Visionaries never take a day off, Sloan said. Complete your vision board. Be productive by any means necessary. “Change the way that you think and you will alter the entire course of your life.”

To grasp a thorough concept of why Sloan routinely encourages people from the various walks of life to maximize their potential, look no further than her well-publicized endeavor as arguably one of the region’s most skilled and promising radio personalities.

“Coaching is not a do-this-and-that-will-happen-concept for me,” Sloan explained. “It is reaching deep, planning and allowing you to come through and out of your experience whole and complete. Virginia entrepreneur Mark Durrette making major moves with his clothing line, generating favorable feedback from consumers

A resourceful, studious guy, that Mark Durrette is.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — When he established his Jerseys-N-Things clothing line in July 2015, Virginia businessman Mark Durrette apparently had engaged in some notable research, particularly as it pertains to his men’s fashion entity. Durrette, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, explained in detailed how he thought it essential to name his men’s apparel Yuchi, a Native American tribe who traditionally lived in the eastern Tennessee River valley in Tennessee in the 16th century.

Take, for instance, how when he established his Jerseys-N-Things, LLC clothing line in July 2015, Durrette apparently had engaged in some notable research, particularly as it pertains to his men’s fashion entity.

Durrette, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, explained in great details how he thought it essential to name his men’s apparel Yuchi, a Native American tribe who traditionally lived in the eastern Tennessee River valley in Tennessee in the 16th century.

“They were great craftsmen and mound builders, but weren’t given the proper credit in history,” Durrette said of Yuchi, whom are widely known as The Coyaha, many of whom in the 17th century moved south to Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina.

Much like Yuchi, Durrette, too, has gone to great lengths to become a solid and progressive craftsman, most notably as a rising and efficient entrepreneur.

A 51-year-old caretaker for his mother and sister, Durrette established his business, in large part because, for starters, he always dreamt of working for himself.

Also, he realizes that being his own boss customarily comes with an array of perks, and it gives him the financial flexibility to take of his family.

Jerseys-N-Things apparel is available to men and women as well boys and girls, and orders can be shipped anywhere throughout the United States.

“I’ve always wanted to create my own clothing (line) so it could be a multicultural and an affordable line for all ages,” said Durrette, explaining the mission and purpose for his business that was founded in Chantily, Virginia, but is now based in nearby Danville.

A native of Alexandria, Virginia, Durrette has been the beneficiary of constant favorable feedback since Jerseys-N-Things have gone into full operations.

“I’m getting great feedback from friends, but I want to reach out to those from all walks of life,” Durrette said. “Being an entrepreneur is very important to me, because it allows personal freedom and to be able to invest in one self.”

Also, while Durrette’s clothing is relatively in its infancy stages, he doesn’t shy away from the notion that growth and expansion are amongst his key entrepreneurship objectives in the foreseeable future.

His business’ clothing apparel price ranges are somewhere in the neighborhood of $20 to 120 dollars — “as of right now,” he said — depending on the consumers’ needs.

“I would love to use our business as a platform for others who aren’t incorporated…to be able to showcase there clothing on my online store,” Durrette said.

Interestingly, Durrette is a proud alum of the historic T. C. Williams High School in his native establishment of Alexandria, a public institution whose former football coaches, Herman Boone and Bill Yoast, were in the 2000 motion picture Remember The Titans, starring Denzel Washington and Will Patton.

For what it’s worth, it’s safe to assume that given the continuous success of Jerseys-N-Things, Durrette essentially has become a notable product of his environment — for all the right reasons, mind you.

TOO FLY — Much like the Yuchi, Durrette, too, has gone to great lengths to become a solid and progressive craftsman, most notably as a rising and efficient entrepreneur.

“I am so proud of you,” Montgomery, Alabama-area businesswoman Sybil Sloan said late Wednesday night in a post on Durrette’s Facebook page after learning of the media buzz he’s acquired surrounding his business. “This is just the beginning of where this journey will lead and I will be right here supporting and cheering.”

Much like others around the country are doing as they pay homage to this resourceful, studious businessman, one who’s making some major entrepreneurship moves.

Houston-area businesswoman Valerie Barrett bolts Corporate America, starts a ‘hidden gem’ that is Massage By Design

DALLAS — Did you know there is a hidden gem housed in the suburbs of Houston’s Metroplex that’s centered largely on increasing relaxation, alleviating pain, and managing the hustle and bustle of everyday life?

DESTINY STEPS — Alabama native Valerie Barrett is the mastermind behind Massage By Design at 25132 Oakhurst Rd, Suite 125, a Spring, Texas-based establishment where customers can savor luxurious massages at an affordable rate, as owner and CEO Valerie Barrett told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s called Massage By Design at 25132 Oakhurst Rd, Suite 125, a Spring, Texas-based establishment where customers can savor luxurious massages at an affordable rate, as owner and CEO Valerie Barrett told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

An accomplished licensed massage therapist who comes to the Houston area by way of Boligee, Alabama — a rural town in the historic Greene County near Tuscaloosa that’s comprised of roughly 328 residents, according to the latest U. S. census — Massage By Design is where Barrett routinely “practices my passion,” she often says.

To her credit, the prelude to practicing her passion, coupled with basking in her element began after Barrett bolted the Corporate America sector and was destined to step out on faith by delving off into this ever-so-competitive world of entrepreneurship.

Having officially become a licensed massage therapist in 2013, Barrett wasted little time starting her own business, one that’s geared toward aiding consumers to improve and maintain their overall physical and spiritual wellness.

Interestingly, Massage By Design is widely known as a multi-modality massage practice, where Barrett provides therapeutic massage for relaxation and pain management.

“She brings years of experience and a lifetime of compassion to her practice,” said a spokesperson in a detailed description of Barrett’s business at http://valsmassagebydesign.com/.

IT IS WELL — Having officially become a licensed massage therapist in 2013, Barrett wasted little time starting her own business, one that geared toward aiding consumers to improve and maintain their overall physical and spiritual wellness.

Moreover, since the startup of Massage By Design, Barrett has been afforded the golden opportunity to contract with a local retirement community, whereby she customarily provides massage therapy to its residents.

In addition, she routinely provides massage therapy to riders of the MS150, and has been a guest massage therapist for ZaSpa (Hotel ZaZa) which, to her credit, has given way to her being dubbed a “highly sought after and requested massage therapist” at the Spa at the Waterway (widely known as the Woodlands Marriott Hotel).

TEAM BARRETT — By and large, Barrett attributes the sustained success of Massage By Design to the unyielding support of her husband, Jimmie Barrett Jr., who, she acknowledges has always been one of her strongest supporters, coupled with the support of her “amazing children.”

“I want to be the change, a difference maker, and an influencer of change by providing a quality therapeutic massage at an affordable price,” said Barrett, explaining her primary mission for functioning in her divine purpose while alluding to  Deuteronomy 28:12. “My belief is that our bodies were designed to heal itself with proper care, nutrition, exercise, plus rest and relaxation through massage.”

By and large, Barrett attributes much of her sustained entrepreneurship success to the unyielding support of her husband, Jimmie Barrett Jr., whom she acknowledges has always been one of her strongest supporters, coupled with the support of her “amazing children.”

Today, unlike never before, Barrett can truly profess that she’s walking in the purpose for which God created her.

“Naturally, I was inspired by my parents but especially my mother, who is still a small business owner,” said Valerie Barrett, adding that her business is presently booking clients for her annual Valentines Couples Massage Package as well as her newly-implemented Rewards Program, its Design Your Own Massage Package, and its Cellulitis Destroyer. “I was also inspired by my oldest daughter and several close friends who are also small business owners and my son, whom I respect deeply because of his kind heart and his strength to persevere.”

Interestingly, Barrett certainly boasts the credentials needed to dwell and function in her element as one of Houston’s most efficient licensed massage therapists.

For starters, the Houston Klein Forest High alum is a product of Phoenix Massage School in the greater Houston metropolitan area as well as studied at nearby LoneStar Community College.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — Interestingly, Barrett certainly boasts the credentials needed to dwell and function in her element as one of Houston’s most efficient licensed massage therapists. For starters, the Houston Klein Forest High alum is a product of Phoenix Massage School in the greater Houston metropolitan area as well as studied at nearby LoneStar Community College.

With close ties to Memphis, where she attended a few years of high school before relocating to Texas, Barrett studied in Seminary School at Houston’s Immanuel Temple School Of The Bible, where she earned an undergraduate degree in Divinity.

All things considered, her continuous success as an accomplished, progressive businesswoman has come full circle, in large part because she was compelled to step out on faith by vacating Corporate America.

The rest, as they say, was history.

“I was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and influenced by my parents,” Barrett said. “My mom and dad owned a small cafe back home in Alabama, and the burgers were the talk of the town. Also, like many others, my job was being eliminated in Corporate America, so I decided to make a career change. I wanted to move into a field that allowed me to make a tangible difference and massage was the catalyst.”

Today, unlike never before, Barrett can truly profess that she’s walking in the purpose for which God created her.

ALL GOD’S DOING — All things considered, Barrett’s continuous success as an accomplished, progressive businesswoman has come full circle, in large part because she was compelled to step out on faith by vacating Corporate America. The rest, as they say, was history.

Which, of course, like her successful business venture, was all by design from the outset.

“I want all — especially teen parents — to know that you don’t have to be a victim of your circumstances,” Barrett said. “There is a winner within. I believe Rudy T (Former Houston Rockets head coach Rudy Tomjanovich) once said, ‘Never underestimate the heart of a champion.’ Those are words to live by.

“I had the greatest parents and they were the village that helped to rear my daughter,” Barrett added. “Over 32 years ago, I was a teen mom and today, I am a successful business owner and so is my daughter. My ultimate goal is to start a nonprofit to help teen parents in the near future.”

Talk about a true, big-hearted hidden gem, one who has gone to great lengths to make her dreams a reality.

Millbrook, Alabama-based author/minister Dr. Albert Russell’s premiere book having a majestic kingdom impact

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave Himself for it. (Ephesians 5:25)

DOING IT GOD’S WAY — Dr. Albert Russell is the mastermind behind the awe-inspiring book, Agapao: Loving Your Wife the Way God Intended, a compelling, spiritually gut-checking written document that officially hit the market just last year.

For Dr. Albert Russell, his God-orchestrated vision had spanned a little more than eight years.

To his credit, though, once he grabbed a firm hold of it, he needed somewhere in the neighborhood of roughly a month to witness it come full circle.

“It was not a whole work though,” Dr. Russell during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said of his long-awaited published project. “When I revisited it in 2017, I learned that I had matured tremendously, and many of the topics warranted further treatment to make them more robust.”

The encounter to which Dr. Russell is alluding is his awe-inspiring book debut that was culminated with the much-anticipated release of Agapao: Loving Your Wife the Way God Intended, a compelling, spiritually gut-checking written document that officially hit the market just last year.

A book that was assembled while his then-wife (whom is now deceased) was deployed to Iraq, Dr. Russell’s Agapao: Loving Your Wife the Way God Intended appropriately explores the assortment of emotions that he experienced or, as he specifically recalled, “the transformation” that took place in his life and his commitment to ensuring that his wife, Danielle, would be secure in knowing his unyielding love for her.

“Agapao was written as a guide for couples, men who are looking to strengthen their relationships and for women who want a man’s perspective on marriage,” Dr. Russell explained in a detailed description of his book at https://www.aer251books.com/.

A book that has garnered favorable rave reviews even in its infancy stages, Dr. Russell’s passion to revisit his vision for composing his first book was spearheaded by his friend, Tori Walker whom, according to the author and ordained minister, kept “pressing” him to “put it out.”

WHAT ABOUT DR. ALBERT RUSSELL? www.revalbertrussellbooks.com

“She was instrumental in getting me to clean it up and finish it so that it could be published,” said Dr. Russell, a native of Mobile, Alabama who currently resides in nearby Millbrook.

REMEMBERING DANIELLE — A book that was assembled while his then-wife (whom is now deceased) was deployed to Iraq, Dr. Russell’s Agapao: Loving Your Wife the Way God Intended appropriately explores the assortment of emotions that he experienced or, as he specifically recalled, “the transformation” that took place in his life and his commitment to ensuring that his wife, Danielle, would be secure in knowing his love for her.

Interestingly, Dr. Russell — though he’s less than a year removed from having witnessed the release of his premiere book that is available at Amazon Kindle and Kindle Unlimited — acknowledged that other written documents are presently in the works, most notably a daily devotional called “Walk with Me: God Seen, God Heard, God Revealed: A 365 Day Devotional,” “Pushing through the Pain” — a project that’s geared largely toward how he has coped with the death of his wife — and a fiction book entitled “Breaking the Curse.”

“The children’s books are my way of passing a legacy on to my kids and to teach them about being entrepreneurial and developing revenue streams through doing something that they love, something that is not a burden,” Dr. Russell explained. “My daughter, Genesis, is the writer and my son, Donovan, is the illustrator and artist.”

THAT’S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR — A book that has garnered favorable rave reviews though it is in its infancy stages, Dr. Russell’s passion to revisit his vision for composing his first book was spearheaded by his friend, Tori Walker whom, according to the author and ordained minister, kept “pressing” him to put it out.

All things considered, Dr. Russell doesn’t shy away from the notion that, well, perhaps this what he deems “my season to write.”

“I have several other books, but they are all works in progress,” Dr. Russell said. “The devotional that I’m writing is getting most of my attention right now so I can finish it within the next few months.”

As for the divine message he aspires to send to his reading audience through his books, Dr. Russell said it all goes back to God, Whom steadfastly provides him daily with the sense of direction he needs to pass along to the masses.

“I believe that God is always speaking,” Dr. Russell said. “The message is a bit different for each book.  Agapao is God telling husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church. It is directed toward men, because I’m a man, so that is the perspective that I speak from.

ADVANCING THE KINGDOM — As for the divine message he aspires to send to his reading audience through his books, Dr. Russell said it all goes back to God, Who steadfastly provides him daily with the sense of direction he needs to pass along to the masses.

“The devotional is God’s little daily nudge to us to remind us that He has not forsaken us nor forgotten us,” Dr. Russell continued, adding that Agapao is attracting constant favorable feedback. “Pushing is basically me preaching to myself and reminding myself that I’m not the only person who has ever suffered great loss and God reminding me (and others who can relate) that He’s a restorer. Breaking the Curse is a fictional work but, in my opinion, it is God reminding someone that they can do anything that they put their mind to.”

Because of the purpose and vision for which God created him, Dr. Russell deems it absolutely imperative to thank his Creator for the strength and ability to write — and to do it virtually routinely now.

WORKING HIS VISION — Interestingly, Dr. Russell, though he’s less than a year removed from having witnessed the release of his premiere book, acknowledged that other written documents are presently in the works, most notably a daily devotional called “Walk with Me: God Seen, God Heard, God Revealed: A 365 Day Devotional,” “Pushing through the Pain” — a project that’s geared largely toward how he has coped with the death of his wife — and a fiction book entitled “Breaking the Curse.”

Thanks in large part to a beloved friend, who helped “pressure” and steer him to his destiny.

“There are so many days that I don’t have the desire but God puts that fire in me and I push through,” Dr. Russell said. “I’m still grieving, so it’s a process, but I am remaining hopeful and positive so that I can continue to produce quality work.  I also want to thank everyone who has supported me through this process.

“(I thank) my family and friends, my friend, Tori, for her constant encouragement and being a source of business ideas, my friend, Les, who has been a tremendous help with editing, my friend, Joy, who gave me some great initial feedback on the later draft of Agapao, my kids and my mother-in-law, who keep me laughing and encouraged, and my church family for their support.”

San Antonio-based author Vale’ssa Winslow’s awe-inspiring new books attracting five star reviews

WALKING IN VICTORY…STILL — Today, unlike never before, Former military veteran Vale’ssa Winslow deemed it essential to apply her tear-jerking testimonies to a written document, considering she is a few months removed from having witness the release of her books entitled, Rape The Silencer: Good Girls Don’t Tell Until Now and Rape The Silencer: Work The Book.

SAN ANTONIO — It’s only been a little more than a year.

Still, Vale’ssa Winslow remembers the exact date, remembers vividly how God had strategically flashed before her eyes a bird’s eye view of an extremely vital chapter in her life.

“As a little girl, I always knew I would tell

my story,” Winslow told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “I just didn’t know how.”

Much to her delight, her Creator provided her with a spiritual blueprint, of sorts, a figurative roadmap, if you will, particularly with regards to sharing with the masses her life-changing story.

For Winslow, what she describes as her test had ultimately become her testimony on November 16, 2016.

“God spoke to my spirit that I was ready to tell my truth,” Winslow explained. “I questioned God, and He said, ‘It’s time.’ He said, ‘It’s been 13 years since your husband committed suicide. It’s time to tell your truth.’ And so I did on Facebook.”

The rest, as they say, was history.

That’s because it wasn’t long after Winslow had shared before the social media universe her story that her testimony had eventually given way to becoming a ministry, in large part because of her vulnerability and transparency over losing her companion to such tragedy — a development that transpired when her daughter was a tender age of 12 and her twin sons were seven.

“The only mode of survival was my faith, which carried me through the most heart wrenching time of our lives,” Winslow said.

Today, unlike never before, Winslow deemed it essential to apply her tear-jerking testimonies to a written document, considering she is a few months removed from having witness the release of her books entitled, Rape The Silencer: Good Girls Don’t Tell Until Now and Rape The Silencer: Work The Book.

Powered by Indie Author, because Winslow is responsible for publishing her own books, both projects officially hit the market on October 27, 2017.

FAMILY FOCUS — It wasn’t long after Winslow had shared before the social media universe her story that her testimony had eventually given way to becoming a ministry, in large part because of her vulnerability and transparency over losing her companion to such tragedy — a development that transpired when her daughter was a tender age of 12 and her twin sons were seven.

The featured project, though it is comprised of only 47 pages, but has resulted in wave of five-star reviews for Winslow, covers serious subjects that expose sexual and adolescent abuse, leadership and development, among other pertinent issues.

“Ordinary is not in my DNA,” Winslow said. “I’ve stared into the face of evil and succumbed to it. Sadistic forces abused me, beat me and…raped me. I questioned God and His plan for my life. It felt as though the sun was hiding behind a cloud my entire life. The Sun chose to shine on others, not on me. It seemed the wind called upon his friends: hail, storm, thunder, and tornado to join in the assault on my life. As a child, those who I believed should’ve been my Sun and my Light, hid behind a cloud. “Or so I thought.”

GOD DID IT — Much to her delight, her Creator provided her with a spiritual blueprint, of sorts, a figurative roadmap, if you will, particularly with regards to sharing with the masses her life-changing story.

As expected, Winslow said, the feedback since her book’s much-anticipated release has been “remarkable and inspiring” for the most part.

A longtime resident of San Antonio, Winslow is widely known also as a motivational speaker, life coach, and a beloved Air Force veteran who served her country for more than two decades.

Aside from the constant rave reviews, her books have given way to an array of media coverage, most notably a recent radio interview that was aired in more than 170 countries.

GLOBAL IMPACT — Aside from the constant rave reviews, her books have given way to an array of media coverage, most notably a recent radio interview that was aired in more than 170 countries.

“Sad, powerful, and courageous,” said Winslow, assessing the feedback she’s garnered. “The readers want more because it is a short read of (47) pages.”

While Winslow needed approximately nine months to assemble her books, Winslow acknowledged that other written documents are on the horizon.

“There will be more to Rape The Silencer: Good Girls Don’t Tell Until Now, and I will plan to write more books in the near future,” she said. “Stay tuned.”
