SLAY ALL DAY, EVERY DAY

Cherhea Frazier didn’t merely come to play.
She has come to slay which, in modern-day slang terms, she’s here to do something exceptionally well, thus help enable the masses to not only look amazing but excel with high style and total confidence.
For Frazier, this is all done as the face of Systa Slay Boutique, her Kansas City-area featured business endeavor that has become a fixture for customarily changing women’s outlook on fashion with self-awareness.
“When it comes to color and patterns, my mission is to bring women out of their comfort zone with colors while adding a pop of pizzazz to their life with fashion,” Frazier, 49, said via her boutique’s website at https://systaslayboutique.com/. With Systa Slay Boutique, we thrive on boosting confidence and creating the shopping experience to ease your frustration.”
SALUTING WOMEN WHO SHAPE OUR WORLD

Located at 8001 Shawnee Mission Parkway, Suite 150, Systa Slay Boutique has garnered a reputation for helping women of fashion to “make it pop,” the longtime businesswoman told Making Headline News’ as part of its advance national coverage ahead of Bishop T. D. Jakes’ 2026 Good Soil Forum in Dallas October 8-10, featuring special guest, Tyler Perry.
In a nutshell, this progressive, flourishing clothing establishment is committed to help bring women out of their comfort zone with a variety of head-turning colors, all the while adding what Frazier describes as a “pop of pizzazz” to their lives with fashion.
Interestingly enough, Frazier’s Systa Slay Boutique is deemed “full-figured friendly,” particularly for plus-sized women find it difficult to discover trendy looks that are current and still flattering to the body.
“That’s where I come in,” said Frazier, expressing the importance of boosting women’s confidence. “I want to show you sleek and trendy fashions designed for a voluptuous, full-figured woman…no matter your size.”

A native of Kansas City, Missouri who boasts 28-plus years as a cosmetologist and four years as an entrepreneur, Frazier said her love for people and fashion are what fueled her competitive drive to start a credible clothing boutique.
“(I have a passion) to help and inspire my ‘thickem women’ that we can look good too,” Frazier told MHN. “But I could not afford extra spendings on myself the way I would like to. Being married with two children, the focus was more on everyone else. But the strong desires never left. Once my kids got older and started graduating, those desires grew stronger. I was able to take classes to help but that left me stagnant once again. Making purchases without truly being taught properly how to connect with the audience was disappointing but I was determined to overcome the obstacles.”
Moreover, one key attribute that has enabled Frazier to oversee the day-to-day operations of a flourishing boutique is the creativity she routinely creates in the comfortable confines of her home.
“I’m able to open women’s minds when it comes to textures and patterns,” Frazier explained. “I’m able to give women the boost of assurance that they look good. It’s the physical interaction that women are lacking. It’s one thing to give a compliment. But it’s so much more when you educate your thoughts.”
NEED RETAIL THERAPY?

Exemplifying a sense of transparency, long before starting her boutique, Frazier admittedly recalls those times where she often struggled to keep her weight intact.
That, as a result, brought about a slew of challenges with her wardrobe.
At some point in time, she recalls, it was time to finally do something about her physique.
“My weight had fluctuated up and down so many times before I decided to do the boutique,” Frazier said. “I had lost over 85 pounds and thought to myself, ‘Why wasn’t I doing this at my smaller weight (size)?’ Things happen and, at this moment, I’ve been doing this and it has just gone up and down, but it’s the love of the fashion that I have. It’s the love that I want to be able to share with other women and help other women that no matter what your size is, you will look great in the pieces.”
SLAYIN’ AND PRAYIN’

“But it’s important to be able to find pieces the complements your body and where you are right now and so being able to educate women and show women and for me to show up, it gives them one step of an encouragement too. It like (they say) ‘She’s doing it. So I can do it one day. I could be able to muster up the courage to do what she’s doing.’ And once I could (help them) build that courage, that confidence would then come. But it doesn’t happen overnight. Every day takes time, even for me. I struggle on a daily basis, but I have to show up and, as I always tell people, ‘Just be yourself and work with where you are.’”
In other words, Frazier emphasized, it’s not the clothes that makes the style, per se.
“It’s the individual and their confidence to rock what they love, no matter if others don’t,” Frazier said. Being a hair stylist, I thrive on energy. It’s because I’m energetic and I set the tone in all environments. I love people and we need each other.”
To collectively slay, of course.
