Houston businesswoman Toronda Lewis Copeland has become a constant fixture in the financial services industry

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17 NIV)

THE PROVERBS 31 AFFECT

HOLDING IT DOWN — Armed with more than three decades of experience in her selected industry, Houston businesswoman Toronda Copeland’s The Iron Network Tax and Business Consulting is a Christian-based company that’s based largely on the Biblical premise that’s housed in Proverbs 27:17.

DALLAS — If you ever find yourself conversing with Toronda Lewis Copeland long enough, chances are the notable subject pertaining to the Biblical fellowship known as “iron sharpens iron” will likely come up.

And for all the right reasons.
“I love working with people and helping them make their situation better,” Copeland, an accomplished Houston-area entrepreneur, told Making Headline News this week. “I also love numbers. Serving as a business in the financial services industry continues to allow me to satisfy both passions.”
To her credit, Copeland — a remarkably brilliant financial specialist in her own right — has become a constant fixture throughout the Houston metropolitan area as owner and chief executive officer of The Iron Network Tax and Business Consulting.
Armed with more than three decades of experience in her selected industry, Copeland’s The Iron Network Tax and Business Consulting is a Christian-based company that’s based largely on the Biblical premise that’s housed in Proverbs 27:17.

“I have a passion for helping people and I have a passion for business…period,” Copeland, 50, said in a detailed introduction of her venture at https://www.theironnetwork.com/about-us/. “Our team of tax professionals has over twenty years combined experience.  Additionally, we have served in the financial services industry for even longer. We are equipped to handle your business needs.”

As Copeland emphasized, her vision for The Iron Network includes — but isn’t limited to — assisting entrepreneurs in developing their visions into thriving businesses, a trend that would ultimately aid entrepreneurs mightily in moving ever-so-closely toward what she describes as self-actualization.

A NOTABLE REMINDER…

Such a development, in turn, could greatly give way to these business professionals impacting their respective community, Copeland said.

What it practically boils down to, Copeland acknowledged, is strategically executing her personal mission, which is centered largely on promoting financial literacy, particularly by educating women and youth.

“Additionally, I have a mission to build a network of women business owners that connect to support and build up one another in various areas based on the biblical premise found in Proverbs 27:17,” said Copeland, adding that her networking adventure is presently in the works and will launch at a time that has yet to be determined.

A native of Nashville, Copeland grew up in nearby Franklin, a rural establishment that’s roughly 20 miles south of Tennessee’s state capital.

A graduate of Whites Creek Comprehensive High School, Copeland advanced her education when she enrolled at University of Phoenix, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

For what it’s worth, she certainly boasts the educational and professional credentials which, much to her delight, have allowed her to reap sustained success in her chosen industry.

An endeavor that is steadily generating more a national presence — most notably in Tennessee, Texas, Ohio, Alabama and Illinois — Copeland stressed that as it relates to working with businesses, her primary focus remains in large part on the small business per se, and that age is not a factor.

“When it comes to my life insurance clients, I have a passion for helping young families solidify their financial foundation at a time when the cost to do so is a whole lot less than if they choose to wait until later on life,” Copeland explained. “At the same time, I find great pleasure in assisting clients of all ages to minimize their tax liability and to maximize their tax refunds.”

Speaking of the term, “maximize,” credit Copeland’s parents for having instilled in her at a young  age the benefits of delving the mindset of an entrepreneur, thus maximizing her potential.

“My mother definitely encouraged me to follow my dreams and made me believe that I could do anything and be whatever I wanted to be in life,” Copeland said. “My dad was an entrepreneur and business owner and also instilled work ethic in me. “My dad has always worked for himself. His work ethic was instilled in me. I’ve always had an interest in business.”

So far, so good for this thriving and progressive Texas-based businesswoman, whose best and brightest days undoubtedly are well ahead of her.

Yep. That goes to show that only what you do for Christ will last.

HERE’S THE 411 — What it practically boils down to, Copeland, acknowledged, is strategically executing her personal mission, which is centered largely on promoting financial literacy, particularly by educating women and youth.

“I love sharing the knowledge that I have,” said Copeland, who became knowledgeable of the tax industry in the late eighties, then formed featured business two years ago, a venture that has since allowed her to engage in bookkeeping, tax resolution, and credit repair.

Interestingly, Copeland earned her insurance license in 2009.

As for her itinerary, she’s currently working on an event in Nashville during which she will bring a broader awareness about financial literacy, as well as the importance of credit.

Also, she announced that plans are currently in the works to hold an event in Houston with two other agencies during which the focus will be geared toward women in what she deems four vital areas: spirituality, self-awareness, business, and finances.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — A graduate of Whites Creek Comprehensive High School, Copeland advanced her education when she enrolled at University of Phoenix, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

In addition, Copeland will appear on a Dallas/Fort Worth-area radio show for a scheduled interview sometime in late October.

“I believe it is important to transfer knowledge, help others grow, and create a legacy for future generations,” Copeland said.

Sounding very much like the remarkably brilliant financial mastermind for whom she is widely known.

A book that was officially launched during a nationally-acclaimed ceremony here last weekend, “Soulful Prayers: The Power of Intentional Communication With God” is forwarded by award-winning and bestselling author/businesswoman Cheryl Polote-Williamson.

As Dr. Deloatch explained during an interview this week with Making Headline News, that she had the fervent backing of a solid supporting cast that aided her mightily with regards to putting her authorship gifts on display also fueled her desire to contribute to Polote-Williamson’s ‘Soulful Prayers.”

“(For one, I had) someone who was doing the editing,” Dr. Deloatch said. “That took a lot of stress off of me. “Learning how stop and proof read a document has always been hard for me. However, I had to learn that much of what I was facing…the additional voices in my head of trying to get it so right that I could not cut it off.”

Once Dr. Deloatch had commenced to exercising her faith through her gifts as a Christian-based writer, God — with His usual reliable Self — was there to provide to increase.

SEASON OF THE REBIRTH

As Dr. Deloatch explained, that she had the backing of a solid supporting cast that aided her mightily with regards to putting her authorship gifts on display also fueled her desire to contribute to Polote-Williamson’s ‘Soulful Prayers.”

How else to explain why it had taken this Murfreesboro, Tennessee-based writer somewhere in the neighborhood of about 15 minutes to compose her portion of a book that figures to have a global impact much sooner than later?

“Many people would say to me, you always seem to have it together,” said Dr. Deloatch, explaining the divine message she’s sending to her reading audience through her selected prayer. “I learned early as a child how to mask my emotions…and was told when I would say things, I was too loud, too strong-minded…a big personality.”

More than anything, Dr. Deloatch acknowledged, the prayer to which God assigned her to assemble for Soulful Prayers, is a spiritual road map, of sorts, for her colleagues.

Once Dr. Deloatch commenced to exercising her faith through her gifts as a Christian-based writer, God — His usual reliable Self — was there to plant to increase.

A native of Nashville, Dr. Deloatch is the Senior Pastor of Winters Chapel African Methodist Episcopal in Lebanon, Tennessee.

“I believe this prayer is looking at our clergy persons,” Dr. Deloatch explained. “I have been in the AME Church all my life, and I trusted that whatever my Pastor said was the truth. He appeared to me to be a strong man, had a direct line to God and whatever I needed, he would get my message to God. However, now that I am a Pastor, I have my own relationship with Jesus, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

“I know now that I am not perfect and my job is to introduce others to Who God is,” Dr. Deloatch said. “For clergy (men and women), we need to be real with God and not some superficial mask, preaching the Gospel. That we are human and we bring the word to all those who want to hear it, we (also) are servants and we suffer just like Jesus, Who wept for the lost. He wept for us and we are caring a burden of life and pain like others.”

And because Dr. Deloatch doesn’t shy away from the notion that she’s completely sold out to God Almighty for the rest of her days on this side of heaven, rest assured that as it pertains to possessing and retaining a solid prayer life, she’s destined to routinely enlighten the world of just how mandatory talking to God is, especially during these perilous times.

For what it’s worth, Dr. Deloatch emphasized that the message that she and her colleagues in the Body of Christ preaches to God’s people is especially vital for today’s youths.

“The young people — these millennials — want to see the authentic self of us,” said Dr. Deloatch, adding that the feedback since the release of “Soulful Prayers: The Power of Intentional Communication With God” have been overwhelmingly favorable. “(This book) has provided a platform to start a conversation with God. It has brought me to place of deeper understanding about a more personal relationship with Christ Jesus.”

An “understanding” she’s especially destined to pass along and put on display not just before those in the Body of Christ, but for those who aspire to establish a wholesome, more meaningful relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Nashville businesswoman Tamica Ross’ organization helping people ‘make their dreams a reality’

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (Galatians 6:9 NIV)

DALLAS — Just before 10 p.m. CST on Sunday, Tamica Ross took to her Facebook page, where she shared with the masses a rather spirited, blissful announcement.

Said Ross to her gallery of social media followers: Hello FB Friends and Family! I am so excited to announce my upcoming news article. I’m making headlines. Thanking God for this awesome opportunity.

WOMAN OF EXCELLENCE

DESTINY STEPS — A native of West Tennessee — most notably the Jackson area that is housed in Madison County — Tamica Ross is the Founder and CEO of Lanese Empowerment, a Nashville-based company that is centered largely on inspiring and aiding individuals, particularly youths, as well as young adult men and women.
For Ross, a Mid-South-area businesswoman, she has every right to share of some favorable news that, much to her delight, is a pivotal reminder of just how much God is using her for His glory.
“This business was birthed by (my) own deep desires and determination to live my best life despite the challenges of growing up in an underprivileged environment, where I became a teenage mother at the age of 16 years old,” Ross, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, said of her quest in establishing what has emerged as a credible endeavor.

WHAT ABOUT TAMICA’S ORGANIZATION? www.laneseempowerment.com

A native of West Tennessee — most notably the Jackson area that is housed in Madison County — Ross is the Founder and CEO of Lanese Empowerment, a Nashville-based company that is centered largely on inspiring and aiding individuals, particularly youths, as well as young adult men and women.

As Ross specifically acknowledged, amongst her coaching venture’s strategic objectives is to empower individuals to live their best lives and, most importantly, to make all their dreams a reality.

“Tamica is on a mission to touch over a million people by empowering them to turn fear into faith, passion into purpose, confusion into clarity, gain self-confidence, and the tools needed to take action now, one step at a time on a journey well done,” said a spokesperson for Ross’ Lanese Empowerment. “She is determined to help those with deep desires to help themselves, reach their full potential, and have fun doing it while living their best lives and making all their dreams a reality.”

For Ross, establishing her coaching organization didn’t merely come easy. Not by a long shot.

According to the Chester County High School graduate, arguably the greatest challenge she faced was attracting sustained support from people she sensed had endured similar hardships with which she once struggled.

DREAMING BIG — Interestingly and to her distinctly unique credit, Ross’ venture has come full circle, courtesy of her resiliency through life coaching, free tools and resources, speaking engagements, writing books, providing scholarship funds, summer youth programs, yearly conferences for men and women, and through D.R.E.A.M.S.

Not to be outdone, though, Ross’ thought process was such that if she would persevere long enough, she’d ultimately reap and possess and results she so desperately sought.

The rest, as they say, was history, considering she did just that.

“I refuse to be that person who was afraid to help others succeed,” Ross said. “Therefore, I have dedicated the rest of my life as a life strategist for others with the mission to empower all people, including men, women, and youths to be the best they can be and help make their dreams a reality.”

Interestingly and to her distinctly unique credit, Ross’ venture has come full circle, courtesy of her resiliency through life coaching, free tools and resources, speaking engagements, writing books, providing scholarship funds, summer youth programs, yearly conferences for men and women, and through D.R.E.A.M.S.

HARVEST SEASON UNFOLDING

An academy that’s comprised of a six week training program D.R.E.A.M.S. is designed to walk people through the steps needed to make any dream a reality and live their best lives one day at a time, Ross emphasized.

Having resided in Nashville for the past decade-and-a-half, Ross holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership and Communication from Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee.

Consequently, she earned a Master’s in Organizational Management from Nashville’s Belmont University.

As for her coaching organization, she said such inspiration arose from the wide counsel of her mother, whom she says was “strong enough” to beat a drug addiction.

According to the Chester County High School graduate, arguably the biggest challenge she faced was attracting sustained support from people she sensed had endured similar hardships with which she once struggled.

“My grandmother and stepfather have always seen the very best in me,” said Ross, paying homage to others to have paved the way to her success. “My godfather, who has always been a transformational leader in my life, my godmother, who taught me how to love God with all my heart, my children, whom I am dedicated to showing how to live your best life, and some wonderful mentors and leaders in the industry such as Tony Robbins, Valerie Burton, and even Oprah (Winfrey)…as an African American successful women, who started from the bottom and now look at what she has become.”

Given the immeasurable strides Ross has made since the startup of Lanese Empowerment, it’s safe to assume her best and brightest days are well ahead of her — days that will include, among other things, the forthcoming release of her starting lineup of books.

“She is looking forward to releasing her new book series,” said a spokesperson for Ross’ organization.

All things considered, Ross is giddy in that she can finally profess she’s walking fervently in her God-ordained purpose.

“I was told when I started this business that I needed to define a niche,” Ross said. “Well I did and that’s all people who have the desire and passion to live an extraordinary life despite the challenges of bad credit, debt, failed marriages, loss of a job, low self-esteem, terrible childhood, underprivileged environments, or lack of joy in their hearts, confusion about their path in life, bad grades, teenage pregnancy, drug addiction, and even those who need clarity on their career paths.

“God didn’t put me on this earth to help everyone, because I know there are some they I may not be able to reach. However, there are more that I can reach, and I am looking forward to giving it all I got.”

That, to her credit, is worthy of making headlines.

“I wrote the first 4,800 words in only two days,” Solomon said. “After working with my editor, I was able to finalize the book in four more days.”

Surely, it’s safe to assume that it was 10 days well spent for this thriving, progressive writer, who also authored these published books: “Shop, Shop, Shop,” “Tim’s Red Rudy,” and “Gale’s Day of Giving.”

When asked what is the divine message she’s sending to her reading audience through her latest book, Solomon said, “My other books are tools to help parents, but they are children’s books focused on financial literacy as well.”

Accomplished Mid-South businessman Oginga Carr: ‘It is my destiny to help 10,000 people achieve their dreams’

Earlier this week, Oginga Carr was asked why it is imperative that he esteem and inspire others daily.

To his credit, Carr fielded the question as if he expected it.

MAKING MAJOR STRIDES — Much to his delight, Oginga Carr has evolved as an efficient and resourceful businessman, most notably through Epiphany Consulting LLC, a Mid-South-area company that is widely regarded as an organizational structure venture that customarily helps with coaching and consulting for businesses and individuals so that they could appropriately find compliance and clarity.

“Without inspiration, there is no life,” Carr said during an interview with Making Headline News this week. “We need to be not only inspired, but edified.  When we edify one another we grow.  I really don’t care about your what or your why. I care about your how.  We help people find their how.”

Indeed he does.

Carr, in fact, has evolved mightily as an efficient and resourceful businessman, most notably through Epiphany Consulting LLC, a Mid-South-area company that is widely regarded as an organizational structure venture that customarily helps with coaching and consulting for businesses and individuals so that they could appropriately find compliance and clarity.

A native of Little Rock, Arkansas who has been dubbed “One of America’s Top Trainers,” according to various media pundits in a detailed description of Carr’s venture at http://www.ogingacarr.com/, Carr doesn’t shy away from the notion that Epiphany Consulting is unique, in large part because human resources is something we all need.

“Our unique proposition is that we offer you help at developing structure in your organization and your life,” said Carr, whose immense entrepreneurship track record spans a little more than a decade. “Many times business owners are great at a skill, but aren’t very good at the business.”

NATIONAL PRESENCE — A native of Little Rock, Arkansas who has been dubbed “One of America’s Top Trainers,” according to various media pundits in a detailed description of Carr’s venture at http://www.ogingacarr.com/, Carr doesn’t shy away from the notion that Epiphany Consulting is unique, in large part because human resources is something we all need.

For what it’s worth, this is where Carr’s progressively effective business comes into play.

A proud of alum of Little Rock Parkview High School — where the former multi-sport athlete lettered in football, basketball, and baseball — Carr also is an accomplished author, a national seminar leader, as well as an organizational structure expert and consultant.

Interestingly, this Henderson State University graduate is armed with roughly 17 years of experience in sales, management, and Human Resources.

“His passion is in the dynamic of change…dealing with it, working through it, and preparing for it,” said a spokesperson in a detailed description of Carr and his venture at http://www.ogingacarr.com.

Not only that, Carr’s professional resume is solid and diverse, considering he has worked in the telecommunications, flooring, and print industries. For those reasons, he has been appropriately labeled a “serial entrepreneur,” of sorts.

Carr’s primary focuses are geared largely on productivity through structure and human capital development, and he has trained tens of thousands of HR professionals in approximately 49 U. S. states.

Which, much to his delight, is mostly befitting, considering Carr has even had a hand in functioning as a magazine publisher, radio and television show host, not to mention having assumed the role as executive director of a non-profit foundation, among other capacities.

Moreover, Carr’s primary focuses are geared largely on productivity through structure and human capital development, and he has trained tens of thousands of HR professionals in approximately 49 U. S. states.

“My mission is to develop more clarity, content, and consistency in our lives,” Carr said. “If we are clear about our goals, then content of those goals are achievable and we can be consistent in our actions. We can be successful in our lives.”

REMARKABLE TRACK RECORD — Carr’s professional resume is especially diverse, considering he has worked in the telecommunications, flooring, and print industries. For those reasons, he has been appropriately labeled a “serial entrepreneur,” of sorts.

Carr credits the bulk of his success as a thriving businessman to his father, whom he said was undoubtedly one of the biggest inspirations in his life.

Though Carr’s father passed away in 2007, he acknowledged that “he lives with me every day in my actions. He believed that we are a family related by affinity, if not through consanguinity.”

“That means that people who are striving to achieve goals in life are related by their love and passion to improve, even if they are not related by blood,” Carr added. “I welcome all Dream Achievers to my family.”

There is, by all accounts, a valid reason for which Carr essentially has rolled out the figurative red carpet to those who aspire to connect with him.

LISTEN TO HIM — “Our unique proposition is that we offer you help at developing structure in your organization and your life,” said Carr, whose immense entrepreneurship track record spans a little more than a decade. “Many times business owners are great at a skill, but aren’t very good at the business.”

“We live by a hashtag, #teamcrushingit,” Carr said. “That means that we are crushing those obstacles that are in front of us.  We are getting to our goals faster than we thought we could.  We are crushing life.”

In the foreseeable future, Mid-Southerners — Memphians in particular — will be afforded the golden opportunity to learn more about Carr and Epiphany Consulting in a trio of informative events:

Nashville-based syndicated radio personality Aaron Jordan’s weekly show attracting big name gospel recording artists and celebs

TEN-NES-SEE HIM IN ACTION — A native of Memphis who’s made quite a name for himself as an accomplished author, motivational speaker, and relationship expert, Aaron Jordan has added yet another achievement to his talent repertoire as an award-winning syndicated radio personality as owner and host of the Know Your Worth Radio Show with co-host Michael Warren. The show airs every Saturday from Noon-1 p.m. CST on Nashville’s 102.1 FM The Light and is a proceeded by the Hezekiah Walker Show.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee — A pretty clever, sometime hilarious guy, that Aaron Jordan.

So much, in fact, that he took to his Facebook page and staged a rather amusing post Friday afternoon.

“That moment when you go to pick up your daughter from school and the teacher asks if you are really famous and a celebrity…Funny!!! #MrKnowYourWorth” Jordan wrote to the delight of his nearly 4,000 followers.

While Jordan’s Facebook post gave way to an assortment of pleasantries and laughs, in essence, the notion that he is a celebrity, of sorts, rings true in many aspects.

A native of Memphis who’s made quite a name for himself as an accomplished author, motivational speaker, and relationship expert, Jordan has added yet another achievement to his talented, immeasurable repertoire as an award-winning syndicated radio personality as owner and host of the Know Your Worth Radio Show with co-host, Atlanta’s Michael Warren. The show airs every Saturday from Noon-1 p.m. CST on Nashville’s 102.1 FM The Light and is a proceeded by the Hezekiah Walker Show.

STAR-STUDDED SHOW — To his credit, the general consensus amongst Jordan’s listening audience is that he certainly has paid his dues, particularly as it relates to making a name for himself, thus creating his own unique voice as a flourishing middle Tennessee-based radio personality. How else to explain why the Know Your Worth Radio Show has managed to attract such big name awarding-winning and renowned gospel recording artists such as Yolanda Adams, Jekalyn Carr, Kierra Sheard, not to mention Preachers of Atlanta star and internationally-acclaimed Pastor Kim Pothier-Jones, among others.

“What I love the most is being able to impact people in a positive way,” Jordan told Making Headline News this week.

Aside from bridging the gap between his devoted listening audience and the gospel celebs, Jordan routinely makes it point to offer some pivotal, wholesome, life-enhancing relationship advice that could greatly help inspire and empower those who have embraced his 60-minute show.

“(We give) them great insight on various topics in dating, provide great entertainment, and all while enriching their minds,” Jordan said.

AN AARON JORDAN RELATED STORY: https://makingheadlinenews.com/2017/02/01/native-memphian-aaron-jordan-flourishing-mightily-as-an-award-winning-author-and-radio-personality/.

Renowned gospel recording Kierra Sheard recently appeared on Aaron Jordan’s Nashville-based Know Your Worth Radio Show.

Moreover, what’s so intriguing about a show that was officially birthed in May 2015 is that it already is starting to garner rave reviews from other syndicated shows.

Just recently, after generating headlines upon the official release his book, “The Power Within, A Woman’s Worth: From Both Sexes,” a representative of the Steve Harvey Morning Show retweeted the link of Jordan’s story to express his well wishes to the rising radio personality standout.

Such a development, Jordan said, caught him by surprise for all the right reasons.

“I was actually shocked when I first saw it and got the notification,” Jordan explained. “Also, I know we follow each other on Twitter, but I use to wonder if certain people actually see my tweets. So it came by a huge surprise. (I was) grateful for the favor of my Creator.”

And much to the delight of Jordan and his co-host, their listeners are grateful for the positive vibes they customarily are afforded in the midday every Saturday, a trend that, as a result, reminds them of their God-manufactured worth.

WE ARE FAMILY — Jordan attributes much of his success to his wife, Ashley Jordan, and his daughter, Teanna.

“Our listeners have stated it is a refresher to have two men authentically talk about dating and relationships and, most importantly, give real unbiased advice to empower (the masses),” Jordan said.

So why in such a short time frame has the Know Your Worth Radio Show emerged as a fixture around the country?

“In my opinion, I think it is the authenticity of the advice and topics discussed and, most importantly, because of God’s favor,” he said.

Well said by a pretty clever, sometime hilarious guy, that Aaron Jordan, a notable celebrity, of sorts.

In his own right.

Native Memphian Aaron Jordan flourishing mightily as an award-winning author and radio personality

TEN-NE-SEE HIS SUCCESS — A native of Memphis who currently resides in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Aaron Jordan is the mastermind behind the book, “The Power Within, A Woman’s Worth: From Both Sexes.” A rather emotionally — and spiritually — gut-checking book that was originally published on July 22, 2014, Jordan, during an exclusive interview this week with Making Headline News, spoke at length about how God greatly fueled his desire to compose a book that, to his credit, figures to help change the lives of others for the better.

All things considered, Aaron Jordan is armed with what he describes as an inner “perfectionist.”

Heck, as far as he’s concerned, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, nothing wrong with — you know — establishing a rather spirited, cheerful countenance that suggests, among other things, that Jordan is determined to strategically exercise his faith in ways unimaginable.

“I am a hard critic of myself, including my brand,” Jordan said.

The brand to which Jordan is especially alluding is his notable endeavor as an established, award-winning author.

A native of Memphis who currently resides in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Jordan is the mastermind behind the book, “The Power Within, A Woman’s Worth: From Both Sexes.”

IT’S ALL GOOD, Y’ALL — As expected, the bulk of the feedback through Jordan’s book has been favorable. “(Many have said it’s) been life-changing in the fact that it has given them a new found prospective on dating and relationships, and that people waiting on my next book release coming up,” he said.

“(I wrote this book) after coming out of a dark place mentally and emotionally in 2012,” Jordan, an award-winning author, explained.

And because he deemed it essential to obey the voice of his Creator by dauntlessly writing his book, today, unlike never before, the man who’s widely known as “Mr. Know Your Worth” is steadfastly reaping the benefits of his brave act of obedience.

For starters, so inspired Jordan was to produce his book that it took him virtually no time to execute the finishing product, considering such a monumental project took approximately nine months to complete (from January to September 2012).

Add to the fact that such a compelling, dazzling book depicts several of Jordan’s greatest, most hurtful and memorable life-enhancing encounters — most notably what he specifically recalled as “three rings, three engagements” during a 24-month timeframe, and it’s no wonder “The Power Within, A Woman’s Worth: From Both Sexes” quickly surfaced as a hot sale, most notably on Amazon.com and Walmart.com.

So get it while you can.

BUSY BODYWide known as also as a motivational speaker, relationship expert, and an award-winning syndicated radio personality, Jordan is currently arranging another college relationship tour as well as another book tour on a date that has yet to be announced.

“In ‘The Power Within, A Woman’s Worth: From Both Sexes,’ it guides to help you understand who you are, whose you are, and what you are when comes to dating and relationships,” said Jordan, explaining the primary purpose for his book. “Also, it helps you to realize the power that you have in dating…understanding that your worth and value is not defined by a relationship or just the sake of having someone in your life. The things that I learned during that period of my life and the things that I learned about myself in that process, I knew that my story was not just for me but to impact people.”

As expected, the bulk of the feedback through Jordan’s book has been favorable.

“(Many have said it’s) been life-changing in the fact that it has given them a new found prospective on dating and relationships, and that people waiting on my next book release coming up,” Jordan acknowledged.

Jordan’s next book, “Dating According to Your Purpose: 5 Laws of Achieving Your Best Life,” is a project that is currently in the works and a time of its release has yet to be determined.

Widely known as also as a motivational speaker, relationship expert, and a syndicated radio personality, Jordan is currently arranging another college relationship tour as well as another book tour for a date that has yet to be announced.

In addition, Jordan’s itinerary includes conducting his annual relationship conferences in Nashville and Atlanta entitled the “Know Your Worth Women’s Relationship Conference.” Also, his “Come Walk the Purple Carpet” event will take place in Nashville, and his “Know Your Worth Relationship Empowerment Summit” is slated to take place in Atlanta.

South Gibson County guard Ladarian McCurrie expected to graduate with honors, now auditioning for an elusive athletic scholarship

xMEDINA, Tenn. — One thing about Ladarian McCurrie is that no one has to remind him of his role as a member of the South Gibson County High basketball team.

For McCurrie, his role for the Hornets of Medina, Tennessee is one about which he takes seriously and with great pride and dignity, considering coach Eric Hampton and his staff mostly look to him as being the floor general, or sorts.

“My role as the point guard is to drive the ball to the goal where I can either take the shot or pass it to either of the other shooting guards,” McCurrie told Making Headline News earlier this week. I am a team player, so I mostly pass the ball to the open guard to generate the three.”

STAGE PLAY --- In what undoubtedly is a pivotal stretch in his final prep season for South Gibson County High, amongst the things about which senior guard Ladarian McCurrie is aiming is doing the necessary things that will ultimately give way to his being afforded the golden opportunity of playing basketball at the collegiate level. While he has yet to field any official scholarships offers, it is a foregone conclusion the future for McCurrie looks extremely favorable, in large part because with a cumulative grade point average of 3.8, he is on pace to graduate in the top five percent of his class.

To his credit, McCurrie, a 17-year-old senior for a South Gibson team that played at arch rival Bolivar Central Friday night, his primary responsibilities have been that primarily of a combo guard, meaning this slim, speedy 5-foot-9, 150-pounder is expected, by all accounts, to display significant roles both as a scorer and floor facilitator.

Most importantly, in what undoubtedly is a pivotal stretch in his final prep season, amongst the things about which McCurrie is aiming is doing the necessary things that will ultimately give way to his being afforded the golden opportunity of playing basketball at the collegiate level.

In essence, what that means essentially is that even if he finishes the academic year without signing a National Letter of Intent, the possibility exists that not only will McCurrie almost certainly be offered an academic scholarship, but he will likely be afforded the chance to join a college hoops program as walk-on.

Either way, a free education appears inevitable at this point for a kid who boasts lofty aspirations of putting his athletic skills on display.

“They will be inheriting a competitor, an encourager, and a player that is driven by ambition,” said McCurrie, when asked what type of player would college coaches inherit if he’s granted his long-awaited opportunity.

As McCurrie tells it, while playing major prep basketball in a relatively small town reduced his ability to acquire the proper exposure, he strongly believes he boasts the skills, mechanics, and assertiveness to handle the hustle and bustle that college athletics create.

“Sometimes, newspaper articles do not capture the whole story,” McCurrie said. “Oftentimes, the newspaper does not detail that I contribute nearly seven rebounds, five steals, and nearly 10-to-15 assists a game, or how I give my teammates confidence while I’m on the court or on the bench.”

vbAll of which explains why McCurrie is destined to possess what he describes as a fair chance, one that would enable him to appropriately audition for a college hoops scholarship.

“Playing college ball is a dream for me because I am coachable,” McCurrie said. “I am willing to take risks. I am willing to put in the time, effort, and work to prove that I am ready to compete on the collegiate level. I am realistic about my ability and skills, and I know that there is plenty of work for me do, because growth on or off the court is a continuous process. But I am hopeful, prayerful, and faithful. I’m just looking for the opportunity to help a team.”

Something about which he’s done time and again throughout his notable high school career.
