Young Dayton, Ohio businesswoman Tara Brown walking fervently in her purpose as an entrepreneur

I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. (Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV)

BROWN HOLDIN’ IT DOWN

DESTINY STEPS — Now that she has overcome an array of odds, now that she is walking fervently in her divine purpose, there’s no turning back for 29-year-old Ohio entrepreneur Tara Brown, who is the owner and CEO of Metiamay Visions.

Tara Brown fielded the question as if she expected it.

“I failed lots of times before getting here,” Brown, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, when asked how her competitive drive fueled her desire to start a business. “I started several other businesses before getting to this point of where I have success. My will to never give up, faith in God, and the determination to never work for anyone again brought me here.”

Now that she’s arrived, now that she has overcome an array of odds, now that she is walking fervently in her divine purpose, there’s no turning back for this 29-year-old entrepreneur, who is the owner and CEO of Metiamay Visions.

MORE ON TARA BROWN’S BUSINESS: https://metiamayvisions.com/

A business that officially went into operations earlier this year, Brown’s Dayton, Ohio-based Metiamay Visions has become a globally-acclaimed fixture as the home of professional refined designs and images.

You name it, her company does it, creating virtually everything from:

  • Business Cards

  • Banners (vinyl or car door, magnets or mouse pads

  • E-Flyers (promo dds)

  • Custom Invitations

  • Media Imaging and Portrait Framing

  • Media Flyers

  • Website Building and Branding

  • Real Image Logos

  • Commercial Vinyl Banners

  • Book Cover Designs

  • Brochures

  • Business Starter Pro (Small Business Branding/Development)

  • Trademark and LLC Registration and,

  • Design You (“Anything not listed above that you want to customize such as spiral bound notebooks or custom made cards and more,” Brown said).

“I like my business, because I get to do everything I’ve always wanted to do in my business,” Brown said. “I apply my natural skill for business and communicating with the world. I am free to be as creative as I want. There are no limits and I get to travel, seeing the world, bringing my services to those who have never heard about me, or maybe they are looking for a better way to get services and not pay those ridiculous overrated prices that my competitors offer.”

A native of Detroit, amongst the things about which Brown is extremely grateful is that she steadfastly stepped out on faith in delving off into entrepreneurship.

Prior to starting Metiamay Visions, Brown had assumed the role of a freelance graphic designer for approximately three years.

“I decided that enough was enough and I put all my life skills and different job experiences into one space and Metiamay Visions was born,” Brown said.

And the rest, as they say, was history.

FOLLOWING GOD’S PLAN

Today, Brown’s rising venture accommodates small business owners, entrepreneurs, corporate companies, and services individuals and groups, ranging from the ages of their mid-20’s through their late 60’s.

And, to her credit, her brilliant expertise has given way to her having been afforded the golden opportunity to put her immeasurable skills on display in a host of establishments, including Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, and Alabama, among other places.

Because she’s fully persuaded she’s fulfilling the purpose for which God created her, Brown is confident the sky’s undoubtedly the limit for her newly-erected business.

“I enjoy this work, because it’s something that I love doing and I get to help everyday people grow their dream as well through the work they request from my business,” Brown said. “I’ve launched about five successful online and ecommerce businesses through my work. I’m changing the world one person at a time by starting and changing one new business at a time with my designs and images.”

Behind the unyielding support of her husband, David Brown — whom Brown said told her, “My husband says I should have done this a long time ago and he’s right” — this young Ohio businesswoman said the pivotal factor for starting her business came from a gallery of her peers.

“(I kept) hearing others just like me, who were lost and confused and not knowing where to start to get their business or professional image for their business at,” Brown explained. So I have to say from within.”

Now that Metiamay Visions is up and running, Brown appears destined to go full throttle with her starting lineup of endeavors, which include her being an accomplished author, who’s preparing to release her second book later this year.

JUST WARMING UP — Now that Metiamay Visions is up and running, Brown appears destined to g full throttle with her starting lineup of endeavors, which include her being an accomplished author, who’s preparing to release her second book later this year.

In addition, she’s scheduled to attend business expos in the foreseeable future in Chicago, Phoenix, and Atlanta, and she recently spoke at Ohio Media School, during which she enlightened students on the field of media and introduced them her services.

“I welcomed my first group of interns that are now a part of my team,” Brown said of her recent visit to that institution.

For what it’s worth, Brown is blessed of the notion that she stayed true to herself, stayed the course, trusted the process and, most of all, followed her dreams.

“I’m glad I’m finally exposed, because now people know it’s official. I’m a successful businesswoman now,” Brown said.

Fielding the question as if she expected it.

Memphis’ Reverend Sheilah Easterling-Smith deemed a fixture in Body of Christ as the face of WOPP

Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. (Ecclesiastes 4:9 KJV)

GOD’S WOMAN OF PROMISE

GOD’S LEADING LADY — More than anything, it is because Reverend Sheilah-Smith, this beloved Mid-South-area preacher, is walking diligently in her divine purpose as the Founder and President of Women of Promise and Praise, her inspiring, spiritually-enhancing ministry that has become a constant fixture in the Body of Christ.

DALLAS — To her credit and much to her delight, Reverend Sheilah Easterling-Smith can be appropriately described as a Proverbs 31 kind of woman.

Not just because she’s a devout woman of faith.

Not just because she’s steadfastly on fire for God.

Not because she’s found her spiritual niche as one of God’s most dedicated and resourceful spokespersons.

More than anything, it is because Easterling-Smith, this beloved Mid-South-area preacher, is walking diligently in her divine purpose as the Founder and President of Women of Promise and Praise, her inspiring, spiritually-enhancing ministry that has become a constant fixture in the Body of Christ.

Established in 2007, Easterling-Smith’s Women of Promise and Praise (or WOPP) is comprised of a group of women dedicated to helping uplift and encourage other women.

“We also concentrate on educating young ladies,” said a spokesperson for WOPP in a detailed introduction of this ministry on its Facebook business page.

A notable ministry that is widely known for aiding and empowering women mightily to discover and reconnect with their God-given worth and purpose, WOPP is making preparations to hold “It Takes A Village” conference, its annual one-day event that will be comprised of a variety of workshops.

Powered by WOPP, this year’s “It Takes A Village” conference will take place on August 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST at Memphis’ Impact Baptist Church & Ministries, located at 2025 Clifton Avenue.

Tickets for this event are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling 901.210.7235 or by emailing Easterling-Smith at seasterl@comcast.net.

SAVE THE DATE

During Easterling-Smith’s “It Takes A Village” conference, an assortment of pertinent topics will be discussed, most notably opioid epidemic, sickle cell disease, childhood trauma, domestic violence, and bullying, just to name a few.

Also, door prizes will be given away during this fun-filled, community-wide fellowship.

Interestingly, WOPP will be hosting what is known as the “Seven Last Words Service” Friday night at 7 at Memphis’ Gifts of Life Ministries, located at 3381 Raleigh Millington Road.

This service, which is powered by WOPP, is a pre-Good Friday celebratory event and will be highlighted by a “preached word, drama, and music,” Easterling-Smith wrote in a Facebook post earlier this week.

Hosted by Pastor Andre and Lady Lisa Johnson in conjunction with WOPP, the “Seven Last Words Service” will feature a gallery of at least a half dozen Mid-South-area preachers, as well as a musical presentation by Crystal “SaxLady” Brown.

For Reverend Easterling-Smith, she has managed to assemble what is widely regarded as an immeasurable body of word throughout the year, particularly as a clergywoman.

One of the “First Ladies” (and captains) of what was known as the  Highsteppers, Easterling-Smith was named a Who’s Who in Cleveland Public High Schools.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN — A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Easterling-Smith is a graduate of Cleveland’s historic John F. Kennedy High School, where she was devoted to academic excellence while being active in several extracurricular activities, most notably editor of the school’s newspaper.

Consequently, she enrolled at Indiana State University on an academic scholarship, where she earned an undergraduate with degree in Journalism, a feat that eventually landed her a job in public relations in nearby Chicago. Her professional work experience includes having worked as an R&B promoter for Malaco Records, during which she represented entertainers Z. Z. Hill, Johnnie Taylor, Denise Lasalle, and Little Milton, among others.

Upon relocating to Memphis, Easterling-Smith worked at The Commercial Appeal in the Composing/Make-Up department before she discovered a spiritual detour, of sorts, after she had become a member of Memphis’ historic Mississippi Boulevard Christian Church.

Ohio businesswoman Roselinde Ngozi creating a global buzz as an empowerment extraordinaire

Although there is such a thing as a competitive drive, Roselinde Ngozi’s reputation is such that she’s customarily ignores it.

After all, as far as she’s concerned, that isn’t merely a bad thing.

“I ignore life’s competitive drive. It can be distracting,” Ngozi told Making Headline News this week. “Instead, I focus on creating, not competition…creativity.”

RAISING THE BAR

PURE CLASS — A gifted and notable speaker whose craft caters mainly to people ranging in ages 28 to 52  — to those who have experienced divorce, bad break ups, or romantic pains, Roselinde Ngozi acknowledges — this Ohio businesswoman’s eloquent voice is steadily attracting more of a global presence.

Speaking of creativity, Ngozi’s reputation is such that she’s also overwhelmingly creative, most notably as a women empowerment speaker, as well as an accomplished recording artist.

A Columbus, Ohio businesswoman, Ngozi is the mastermind the forthcoming single entitled, “Girl Gotta Grow” or #GGG, a hit that will be officially released in the coming days, the Nigerian native announced earlier this week.

“Although life and business are highly competitive, I do my best not to get entangled with competing,” Ngozi said. “I focus inwardly and upward to avoid being distracted by life’s competitive drive. I like to win, though winning to me is doing my best, giving my best, and mastering my best.”

MASSIVE IMPACT — Ngozi’s reputation is such that she’s also overwhelmingly creative, most notably as a women empowerment speaker, as well as an accomplished recording artist.

For Ngozi, 39, she certainly has gone to great lengths to put forth a masterful, immeasurable display, particularly with regards to establishing creativity through her brand which, in essence, has set her apart from other businesswomen who engage in a similar line of work.

For what it’s worth, though, she credits much of her sustained success to the sometimes challenging “process,” in large part because she’s knows full well that in order to achieve greatness, one must trust the dreaded process.

“What I like most about being in business is the process. The work it takes to become an authentic brand inward and (outward). I enjoy the results…to see women engaged in their healing, reminding them of their power and willingness and readiness to take action to become better.” — Roselinde Ngozi

For what it’s worth, Ngozi credits much of her sustained success to the sometimes challenging “process,” in large part because, well, she’s knows full well that in order to achieve greatness, one must trust the dreaded process.

A gifted and notable speaker whose craft caters mainly to people ranging in ages 28 to 52  — or to those who have experienced divorce, bad break ups, or romantic pains, Ngozi acknowledges — this Ohio businesswoman’s eloquent voice is steadily attracting more of a global presence.

That, to her credit, is especially vital, considering many of Ngozi’s peers sense that her best and brightest days in her selected profession are well ahead of her.

“My personal mission is to help women heal,” Ngozi says without hesitation. “Women are powerful beings. I believe when a woman heals a nation rises. My expertise is healing and growth management.”

GLOBAL PRESENCE — An empowerment speaking career that spans 15 years, Ngozi’s credibility has soared in recent years, courtesy of her regular appearances by way of international broadcasting, radio interviews, and social media.

And then there is her featured message, one Ngozi has adopted as her own, thus applied to her immeasurable movement in the process.

“My message is to call out the victim mentality and challenge women to take responsibility and action in three fundamental areas: emotions, relationship, and finance,” Ngozi said.

An empowerment speaking career that spans 15 years, Ngozi’s credibility has soared in recent years, courtesy of her regular appearances by way of international broadcasting, radio interviews, and social media.

BLAZING HIT — A Columbus, Ohio businesswoman, Ngozi is the mastermind the forthcoming single entitled, “Girl Gotta Grow” or #GGG, a hit that is will be officially released in the coming days, the  Nigerian native announced earlier this week.

“It’s imperative personally to be sure I break the cycle of my mother’s brokenness in order to protect my daughter’s innocence,” Ngozi said. “I am a Nigerian woman, raised in America. I have searched for my Nigerian father — just found him — and is on my way back to reunite with (him). This is significant, because I am the first born daughter to an IGBO (one of the largest ethnic groups in Africa). man. He is the elder of the village, honorary chieftain and a  Bishop.”

That Ngozi is preparing to return to her native establishment is a “huge deal,” she said, largely because connecting with her father is, in many aspects, synonymous to her quest to having connected with her God-given purpose.

VALIANT LEADERSHIP — “My personal mission is to help women heal,” Ngozi says without hesitation. “Women are powerful beings. I believe when a woman heals a nation rises. My expertise is healing and growth management.”

“As a first-born daughter, (my) story is significant, because finding my father was a part of my personal healing management plan, which is what I share and present to women in workshops and as a keynote speaker.”

Eloquently stated by this progressive, thriving businesswoman, whose reputation is such that she customarily ignores life’s competitive drive.

That, after all, that isn’t merely a bad thing.

Atlanta-area author Donita J. Clark’s new book inspiring the masses to allow painful experiences to drive them to their destiny

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all. (Psalm 34:19)

YOU GO GIRL!!! A 108-page paperback written document that officially hit the market on June 6, Donita J. Clark’s “In Pain On Purpose: A World Of Hurt Can Change Your Destiny” is an inspirational novel with regards to relationships or, as Clark eloquently acknowledged,  those relationships that produce rather good or bad fruit, if you will.

Ask Donita J. Clark about her upbringing, and you best believe she’s going to cut straight to the point.

In a nutshell, she’s going to keep it real with you.

“I came from a culture where having a baby was more important than marriage or education,” Clark, during an exclusive interview this week with Making Headline News, recalled.

It is, by all accounts, due in large part to such a downtrodden, discouraging social issue that has greatly inspired Clark to go to great lengths to encourage and empower young ladies to adopt a different thought process, particularly it relates to positioning themselves to be successful.

“I wanted to inspire other women to do something extraordinary,” Clark said.

To her distinct credit, she has done just that, by way of her recently-released book entitled, “In Pain On Purpose: A World Of Hurt Can Change Your Destiny.”

A 108-page paperback written document that officially hit the market on June 6, Clark’s “In Pain On Purpose: A World Of Hurt Can Change Your Destiny” is an inspirational novel that addresses relationships or, as Clark eloquently acknowledged,  those relationships that produce rather good or bad fruit, if you will.

Moreover, Clark’s debut book deals with several extremely vital relationship issues, particularly those we have with our parents which, in essence, ultimately establish the basis of our foundation, as she explained in a detailed description of her book at Amazon.com.

MORE ON THIS AUTHOR: www.donitajclark.com

“As we grow and begin to seek adult relationships, the manifestations of that fruit begin to show,” said Clark, a native of Wooster, Ohio who lives with her family in Atlanta.

WE ARE FAMILY — A book Clark had begun writing in August 2016 and needed approximately nine months to complete, this Wooster, Ohio native stressed that her primary focus through her book is to steadfastly be a voice of hope for men and women are battling similar situations as the ones she endured, most notably the dreaded trend of having been raised without the authentic guidance of parents.

Then there is the featured character named Nyla in Clark’s book, whom this author explained had never had a relationship with her father while simultaneously carrying on a rather dysfunctional one with her mother.

It is, in fact, because of relationships of that magnitude that Clark thought it essential to compose this compelling and informative novel because, as she tells it, “I want to inspire young people that may be experiencing toxic relationships. We can move beyond our pain and live on purpose. Your pain can be used to guide you to your purpose.”

Washington, D. C.-area businesswoman Nikki Smith using Total Life Changes for economic prosperity, to enhance life of artistic son

ON HER GRIND — Having acknowledged that she chose the education industry for job security because it would give way to a sense of job security, Nikki Smith said her tenure in the classroom ultimately gave way to becoming an obstacle, of sorts, in large part because her son had been stricken by a variety of special needs. Fortunately for her, that is when Total Life Changes had come into play, thus providing her with the newfound hope and enthusiasm, let alone the much-needed breakthrough she so desperately sought — with God, her Helper, leading the way.

In a variety of aspects, Nikki Michelle Smith and her affiliation with Total Life Changes go hand in hand.

Take, for instance, how when Smith, a former professional educator, joined Total Life Changes a year-and-a-half or so ago, this Washington, D.C.-area businesswoman sensed, among other things, that this thriving, progressive business would benefit her mightily.

Most importantly, during an exclusive interview Friday morning with Making Headline News, Smith spoke at length about how her having joined TLC would greatly enhance her lifestyle and that of her son, Darrell Anthony Bronston, Jr.

“That was devastating to me,” said Smith while speaking passionately about her only child. “Although I’ve always been positive and always had a lifelong goal of being a teacher, his diagnosed inspired me to learn more about special education so I would know how I could apply it with him as well as understand his educational rights.”

Having acknowledged that she chose the education industry for job security purposes and because it would give way to financial stability, Smith said her tenure in the classroom ultimately gave way to her job becoming an obstacle, of sorts, in large part because her son had been stricken by a variety of special needs.

HEAVEN SENT — More than anything, Smith said while displaying her smile, she’s mostly grateful for her son, her precious, beloved, tailor-made gift from God and arguably her grandest inspiration.

“That turned into an obstacle,” Smith explained. “Either I made too much money, not enough money, I missed a dead line, or the money ran out and so on. It was very frustrating, and the reality was I needed help.”

Fortunately for her, that is when Total Life Changes had come into play, thus providing her with the newfound hope and enthusiasm, let alone the much-needed breakthrough she so desperately sought — with God, her Helper, leading the way.

Having officially gone into operations in 1999, Total Life Changes, or TLC as it is widely known, provides thousands of people around the world with the opportunity to build a brighter future, most notably by way of living and savoring a healthy lifestyle, as well as through the financial freedom and flexibility they seek.

According to a spokesperson for TLC, this internationally-acclaimed business has developed a widely described as a “true sense of family” that is shared by its independent business owners, executive staff, and customer service agents. Moreover, this company is credible in that it customarily provides its members with an unlimited opportunity to grow their business, not to mention develop a network of offices located across the world.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Smith emphasized that amongst her notable goals as an independent business owner through TLC is to have a stellar business-related impact with its assortment of products throughout the United States, even as far as the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Canada, among other establishments.

In addition, she aspires to use her products and generated revenue to help enhance and make comfortable the lives of individuals who share a similar lifestyle as her.

“My goal is the help special needs moms and pops and help them see the benefits of a home-based business,” Smith said. “You see…raising children with special needs has it rewards.”

More than anything, Smith said while displaying her smile, she’s mostly grateful for her son, her precious, beloved, tailor-made gift from God and arguably her grandest inspiration.

“My son has taught me a lot,” Smith said. “However, his needs have also caused me to leave my job.”

Then again, Smith didn’t actually leave her job, at least not on her on own merits, mind you.

“I got fired, because my days were spent going to therapy sessions,” Smith explained. “I was getting called home because the sitter could not handle his high needs or I could not trust just anyone with my child. His father helps a lot, but when I left the (Ohio), it was overwhelming emotionally, financially and physically. I started to lose myself.

“I was depressed and I was emotionally detached from my child,” Smith continued. “I did all the motherly duties but I was reclosed…gained weight, didn’t care about my appearance and all of that always was taking its toll. My mom brought it to my attention I was burnt out. A lot of special needs parent find themselves in this same situation and sadly on the other side of the law for neglect, abuse, and sometimes the loss of a child to social services, not because they were bad parents, but because they were overwhelmed and lacked resources or support most times both.

With proper education, coupled with her affiliation with Total Life Changes, Smith doesn’t shy away from the notion that because of her relentless faith, she adopted a newfound disposition on life — a life-enhancing trend that is proving beneficial for the young Darrell, Jr.

“The Nutraburst gives him the vitamins he needs that he don’t get due what he eats over again,” Smith said. “The NRG helps him focus and gives him mental energy as well. He has meltdowns when there is too much going on and he goes into sensory overload, which causes him to have meltdowns. The NRG has helped with that a lot (Disclaimer: TLC does not mitigate any medical claims or cures of any diseases, disorders or ailments). But we focus on results.”

Fortunately for Smith, the results have been favorable.

Which, after all, sums up that in a variety of aspects, Nikki Michelle Smith and her affiliation with Total Life Changes go hand in hand.

Cincinnati-based businesswoman Cynthia McCalister’s Quality SAP Inc. is having a national information technology impact

For Cynthia McCalister, her entrepreneurial mindset spans back more than 30 years.

All things considered, she has her parents to thank.

Take, for instance, how back in August 1981, when the Professional Air Traffic Controllers implemented a strike that was ultimately declared illegal and was broken by the Reagan Administration.

By and large, such a well-publicize work stoppage gave way to the entrepreneurial concept for McCalister’s father, the late Thomas Johnson.

GLOBAL IMPACT — Amongst the notable neighborhood gems Cincinnati businesswoman Cynthia McCalister has serviced include: Bonita’s Southern Style Sweet Potato Pies, East of Chicago Pizza, NT Nails, Crown Jewel Designs, Made With Love Cakes and Catering Services, Prayer In Action Events by L’BAE, and Full Throttle Indoor Karting, just to name a few.

“It was the influence of my parents, Thomas and Madlyn Johnson, that gave me the drive to be an entrepreneur,” McCalister, who resides in Cincinnati, told Making Headline News this week. “After the Air Traffic Controllers Strike in the 80’s, my father set out on a path to become a small business owner.”

McCalister’s father eventually made good on his business-related pledge and by starting what had become Regal Carpet Cleaning.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Having witnessed her father evolve mightily as a business owner, coupled with her mother having become a fixture as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor, not to mention a counselor for the AIDS Foundation of Dayton, Ohio and later a minister, McCalister sensed that one day she would absorb and take heed to their influential, immeasurable impact.

Now you can find discounts and deals wherever you go.

According to the business’ overview on its The Key Spot App Facebook page, “Quality SAP” stands for Quality, Service, And Products.

In addition, there will be a Small Business Go Karting Challenge to see which business “comes out on top,” McCalister said.

“I get the most enjoyment working with small business owners by being a champion for them and supporting their growth,” McCalister, an Ohio native, said. “When I say I want to help you reach your goals, I mean it. I work to help spread the word about the hidden gems by leveraging technology of the Key Spot app, creating networking connections, and social media.”

Wait. There’s more pertinent information about which McCalister deemed it essential to share.

“When we are able to connect businesses to each other, such as an event coordinator looking for vendors, or a restaurant owner looking for desert makers, it provides opportunities for both sides to benefit,” McCalister explained. “In addition, being a patron provides the best firsthand account of products and services.”

THE LEGACY LIVES ONHaving witnessed her father evolve mightily as a business owner, coupled with her mother having become a fixture as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor, a counselor for the AIDS Foundation of Dayton, Ohio, and later a minister, McCalister sensed that one day she would absorb and take heed to their influential impact.

Since Quality SAP‘s inception, there are currently Key Spot business partners in 15 states, including Ohio, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, New York, Arkansas, Illinois, Texas, Alabama, Indiana, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, South Carolina, and California.

“We are continuing to spread across the country,” McCalister said.

All things considered, she has her parents to thank.

“As a family, we helped and supported (my father’s) journey,” McCalister said. “I saw firsthand the hard work he put into growing his business. In my mother, I saw God’s love demonstrated by her work in the community. Though they are no longer with us, their legacy lives on through me.”

LET’S NETWORK, Y’ALL: https://www.facebook.com/groups/KeySpotBusinessPartners/.

A legacy that, because she thought it necessary long ago to heed her parents’ advice and life’s lessons, has greatly given way to Quality SAP now having a global presence.

“I would not have achieved so much if it was not for my faith in God, the support of my family, friends, and business team for believing in me and my dream,” McCalister said. “With the love of my husband and children, it has given me the motivation to continue to strive for the highest heights. I want to make my family proud and be a positive role model, demonstrating anything is possible to achieve with God, a dream, and hard work.”

That’s the key.
