As it pertains to the competitive world of authorship, these are the notable individuals who have had a monumental impact on Dr. Shantuan Coleman Taylor, an accomplished and gifted Dallas/Fort Worth-area author.
“I have always wanted to be an author since reading the Judy Blume’s book, ‘Are You There God? It’s Me Margaret,’” Dr. Taylor, during a recent interview with Making Headline News, said, referring to Blume’s classic books of the 1970s.

An independent published written document that officially hit the market in June 2018, Dr. Taylor co-authored this 53-page project with Dr. Delmar Lee, whom she appropriately refers to as a her “PhD buddy.”
In these authors’ “I Have A PhD; Now What?,” amongst the pivotal observations they eloquently address is devising strategic ways to embrace the next notable faze of her life now that she has acquired a doctorate degree.
“I have completed the PhD (phase) and I am ready for the next step,” these writers ask, according to thorough description of her book at Amazon.com. “What is it? Many people begin and complete the PhD program and, at the completion of the program, stand dazed with a wealth of time on their hands, because they do not know what to do next.”

(And), according to the economist, the amount of jobs available for the PhD is not commensurate with the amount of people who are getting the degree. Are there exceptions to this phenomenon? Do I really need a PhD? This is the question that most interested PhD learners should ask themselves before they begin the PhD journey.”
A native of nearby Fort Worth who is widely known also as an engineer, professor, entrepreneur, and an interior designer with who writing focus is primarily on non-fiction projects, Dr. Taylor’s book addresses, among other things, a host of key issues and subjects people would want to know before, during, and after having earned their PhD.
Dr. Taylor’s professional resume includes having worked at the NASA Johnson Space Center for 10 years as an engineer, as well as having assumed a position in Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering as an Associate Director.
In addition, she served as Director of the Center for Computational Sciences on the University of Houston’s Downtown campus, was as Adjunct Professor for Houston’s Lone Star College and Houston Community College, and an online professor at Grand Canyon and Argosy Universities.
“I just want to see others be culturally responsible and excel to the PhD level and glean some personal power to have a community impact,” said Dr. Taylor, whose desire to compose her new book was fueled by several colleagues, her mental life coach, Pastor Darolyn Brock, not to mention her sorority sister, Dr. Deana Irvin, who recently joined her in the illustrious ranks of PhD. “Most importantly, I want (PhD holders) to believe in themselves and their God-given talents.”
