MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES TAVIA SHANKS-SOLARI
To her credit, Tavia Shanks-Solari has been actively engaged in the ever-so-competitive massage therapy industry for nearly a decade.
Arguably the No. 1 reason this fitness and nutrition motivator has enjoyed sustained success: Efficient and excellent customer service, something by which this accomplished Houston-area entrepreneur has put on display since the inception of her business venture.
“I have loved on my clients through massage for over nine years, because it is my number one priority,” Solari told Making Headline News during an interview this week. “I don’t just use massage as a platform, I also incorporate fitness and healthy eating, which I have fallen in love with, because it encompasses a well-rounded lifestyle mind, body, and spirit.”
A native of nearby Booth, Texas, Solari, 47, is owner and chief executive officer of Motivating Muscles, a well-established and credible health and wellness spa that specializes mostly in massage therapy.
Having acknowledged that she finds pleasure in motivating and inspiring people to be what she deemed as their “best them” particularly by way of their overall health, Solari admittedly battled low self-esteem for years, a trend that had greatly fueled her desire to delve off into massage therapy.
“My personal mission is motivating, energizing, and recreating a better you.” — Tavia Shanks-Solari
That, as a result, is when she essentially discovered ways to possess and savor a carefree lifestyle, accompanied by physical health.
“The competitive drive in life propelled me, because I was person who suffered from low self-esteem, not knowing my worth as a young girl, even when my mother continued encouragement and love,” Solari explained. “I had to work through some things and learned to love myself first…to be able to transfer that love and embrace others.”
Once she had grasped a thorough concept of what it means to embrace self-love, such an upward trend had essentially given way to Solari adopting a heart for people, something that is especially key in entrepreneurship.
Along with being the face of Motivating Muscles, Solari is a notable motivational speaker who serves as chief operating officer for Girl Chat Alumni, an area nonprofit organization that was founded by fellow Houston businesswoman Shelia Henry.
Interestingly, while Solari’s Motivating Muscles accommodates individuals ranging in ages 15 (with parental consent for minors) to 70, she’s been afforded the golden opportunity to put her immeasurable skills on display in such places as Cabo St. Lucas, Cancun, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and San Diego, among other establishments.
“My personal mission is motivating, energizing, and recreating a better you,” said Solari, whose educational achievements include having earned as an Associate’s in Applied Science Degree in Business Management, as well as a Massage Therapy License from Memorial Hermann Wellness Center.
A graduate of Houston’s James Madison High School, Solari has gone to great lengths in recent years to enhance her entrepreneurship repertoire.
For starters, she announced that a forthcoming book is presently in the works, although such a project is the infancy stages.
“I’m working on my book and the title, which is still be determined, because this is very important,” Solari, adding that Henry, her husband, Troy, the couple’s son, Justin, and a host of family and friends are amongst her grandest supporters.
“My book encompasses my life and challenges that I have faced as a young girl, as well as the woman I am today. It speaks about what keeps me motivated, prayed up, and how I was able to turn temporary setbacks into victorious comebacks. My book will be out next year.”
In the meantime, however, Solari doesn’t away from the notion that while next year figures to bring about more success, 2018 undoubtedly has been a banner year for her, in large part because she has been purposed to help equip and impact lives.
One life at a time.
“It is very imperative that I esteem and inspire others, because I believe that to see the blessings, you must look beyond the things you consider having been a mistake or even a challenge to accept, embrace, and use as a testimony to encourage others,” Solari said.
