Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Hebrews 10:23 NKJV)
GOD BLOCKED IT
Because of whom she is and because of where God is taking her, Valencia Brown had no time to waste.
Literally.
“I began writing this book August 4, 2020. I completed this book October 1, 2020,” Brown told Making Headline News this week to kick off its advanced Woman Thou Art Loosed Virtual Experience coverage leading to Bishop T. D. Jakes’ annual event that will take place October 15-17.
The book to which she is alluding is Single Parenting Against The Odds, Brown’s spiritually-empowering, life-altering written work that figures to be as good as advertised, given the awe-inspiring developments that unfolded in the life of this beloved and devout woman of faith.
A book that jumpstarted this Charleston, South Carolina-based writer’s much-anticipated authorship debut, Brown vividly recalls like yesterday how God had infused her with the light of the Holy Spirit to assemble a book that essentially aligns with the purpose for which she was created.

As Brown explained, she was initially introduced to the vision of becoming an author sometime in 2012.
“While sitting in church, God told me I would write a book regarding single parenting,” Brown recalls. “At the time, this appeared to be absurd if you knew my current situation.”
For the record, it was a rather tumultuous, stormy journey, one that was mired by what this Christian-based writer appropriately deems “a journey of my life challenges and shortfalls through mistakes and bad decisions that cost me everything except my children,” according to a detailed synopsis of Brown’s Single Parenting Against The Odds Fighting at Amazon.com.
“Fighting to keep our heads above water even though the odds were stacked against us, it looked as though we wouldn’t make it,” Brown writes. “Yet, we persevered towards the finish line to a place of wholeness through spiritual transformation. A place of victory.”

Yep. That’s just like God, Who may not come when you want Him.
Still, He’s always on time.
In that order. Period.
Suitably christened as a born leader and a fighter by nature, or one who has overcome many trials and tribulations in her life through her immeasurable and recently faith in God, Brown emphasized, among other things, that her divine message to masses is rather forthright and direct.
“After every storm, there is always a rainbow,” Brown customarily says without hesitation. “According to the Bible, the rainbow is the sign of God’s promise to mankind that He will never again flood the earth. It is a reminder that there’s an end to the storm. The rainbow is a sign of hope and new beginnings. It reminds us that things will soon be better and brighter.”
Interestingly, this brilliantly talented author acknowledged that in order to see a rainbow after a storm, we need two notable ingredients: sunlight and raindrops.
“Sunlight represents the power of God and raindrops represents the adversities we face in life,” Brown added. “When the sunlight breaks through the raindrops during the wake of a storm, this results in the illumination of the rainbow, indicating that we can grow and move forward in life.”
To her distinctly unique credit, the feedback since word spread of Brown’s newly-assembled book has been overwhelmingly favorable, as expected.
“As I started writing blogs relating to my life stories, I received much feedback to begin writing my book and (I felt compelled) to create a podcast to reach women from all walks of life,” Brown said.
Much to her delight, her sophomore project is presently in the works. Brown’s A Triumph Women is scheduled to be published in January 2021, she told MHN.
As for her freshman book, Brown said she will be hosting an official virtual book launch party at a time and date to be announced.
A native of Charleston, Brown in 2018, established a credible faith-based women’s ministry, which spearheaded what is known as the Valencia Speaks LLC Empowerment Ministry.

Also, because of the coronavirus outbreak, plans to launch a mentorship empowerment program for high school girls who live in demographics and dictate their success has been temporarily delayed, but will resume at a time and date to be announced.
“Not only do I mentor women, I also help them to achieve financial stability by obtaining jobs and housing,” said Brown, explaining the strategic mission of her rising women’s ministry.
As for her new book, Brown said: “This book is a part of my purpose in life to uplift, encourage, and minister to women and young girls whom society has cast down, leading them to build a strong relationship with God, whereby He receives the glory and they’ll receive the victory in every area of their lives.”
Just like she did.
