A gift opens the way and ushers the giver into the presence of the great. (Proverbs 18:16 NIV)
GLOBAL GAME-CHANGER
Keyne A. Smith wasn’t about to sit around and become discouraged and uninspired when the unprecedented global pandemic in Spring 2020 changed the world as we know it.
If nothing else, Smith was destined to devise ways to empower and enhance the overall landscape of her life.
“The COVID-19 pandemic was the driving force behind starting the business,” Smith, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that fueled her fervent desire to delve off into the ever-so-competitive world of entrepreneurship. “I watched highly qualified people lose their jobs due to the economic crisis caused by the pandemic. I felt compelled to help in the best way I could.”
To her distinctly unique credit, she’s made good on her pledge in becoming a beacon of light amid a coronavirus pandemic that, by all accounts, has dealt a devastating blow to the economic scenery.
Currently active in a U. S Army stint that spans more than two decades, Smith is the mastermind behind TACIT ALLY, LLC, her California City, California virtual assistant (VA) services designed to strategically aid with special projects, as well as assemble and produce complex documents, reports, and presentations.

Also, TACIT ALLY, LLC has become a fixture for collecting and preparing pertinent information for meetings with staff and outside parties, composing and preparing correspondence, maintaining contact lists, making travel arrangements, and completing expense and mileage report, literary and events promotions, and bookkeeping, among other entities.
Smith’s TACIT ALLY, LLC officially went into operations in November 2020 and since made immeasurable strides.
“Our VA’s (virtual assistants) are skilled in executing multiple administrative tasks, including invoicing, mailers, corporate letters, outreach, data entry, and updating databases,” Smith, a native of Orange, Texas, said. “We also perform market research, identify new business opportunities, and work independently meeting quick turn-around times and deadlines.”
Interestingly enough, Smith acknowledged she was inspired to start TACIT ALLY, LLC, in large part because of family members who could not work due to dreaded COVID-19 layoffs.
“Starting the VA business allowed those professionals to work safely from home, while maintaining a steady income,” Smith said. “We are a new company, but watch out once the word gets out about us.”
Generally, arguably the most intriguing factor that stands out about Smith’s fledging company is that it began as what she appropriates describes as a dual service.
In a nutshell, Smith emphasized, “It helps businesses focus on dollar productive tasks, while my employees handle the administrative tasks. Additionally, it created an opportunity for laid off professionals and disabled vets that would require special accommodations to work outside of their homes.”
A digitally-based company, TACIT ALLY, LLC customarily offers services for adults, businesses, teens, and young adults.
A graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) with a Bachelor Degree in Applied Arts and Sciences (BAAS), Smith is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Administration with a concentration in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the same institution.
As for promoting her newly-erected venture, Smith conducts weekly live shows via her business’ Facebook group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/180122897144401.
“My personal mission is the same as my reason for starting the business,” Smith said. “It helps businesses stay afloat and disabled vets that would require special accommodations to work outside of their homes and remain employed.
“Nothing in life is a coincidence and we all got where we are today on the shoulders of someone else,” Smith continued. “If you have the tools and skills to be a blessing to someone, you do not sit on those tools. You use them for their intended purpose. One encounter or one interaction can be the matter or life or death to someone. Be the light at the end of a dark tunnel.”
Which, to her credit, is exactly what she has done.
And still is, for the record.
