HANDLIN’ BUSINESS
DALLAS — The Dallas/Fort Worth area is filled with kid entrepreneurs, an ascending trend accomplished Texas businesswoman Letitia Scott Jackson senses undoubtedly is worthy of recognition.
“These kids, teens, and young adults will present their new and upcoming businesses to the public,” Scott Jackson, the founder and CEO of Keeping Families Connected, told Making Headline News this week.
Such profitable exposure will come during what is known as the inaugural Next Level Top Up Stop Kidz Entrepreneurs, a community-wide event during which young business owners will be afforded the golden opportunity to showcase their respective venture.
This event will take place on April 24 at the Cambria Hotel Plano-Frisco, located at 7500 Parkwood Boulevard in Plano from 2-4 p.m. CST.
Powered by Keeping Families Connected, Next Level Top Up Stop Kidz Entrepreneurs is accompanied by the theme, “Support Our Youth,” and will be hosted by Rocky “Rock-T” Turner of The Rickey Smiley Morning Show.

Most importantly, Scott Jackson emphasized, attendees to Next Level Top Up Stop Kidz Entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to support Keeping Families Connected’s Boyz N Blue & Girlz Too Kids & Teens Entrepreneurs.
“They are our leaders of tomorrow,” Scott said. “We are on a mission.”
A Dallas/Fort Worth-based nonprofit organization that Scott Jackson established in 2015, the strategic mission of Keeping Families Connected is centered in large part on enriching the lives of young people, most notably through events, as well as by way of providing educational resources, mentoring, and counseling services.
“We believe that family matters most,” said a spokesperson for this thriving, flourishing nonprofit organization in a detailed overview at https://www.keepingfamilyconnected.org/.
A native of Houston who was raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Scott Jackson is thoroughly convinced that her organization is steadily becoming a fixture throughout the region but, most importantly, she’s convinced it aligns solely with the purpose for which she was created.
Generally, Scott Jackson birthed Keeping Families Connected out of “a personal desire,” one that would enable her to customarily make meaningful contributions to the lives of those who are incarcerated while being separated an extended period time from family members.
“My life’s trials and tribulations set me up for this journey,” Scott Jackson told Making Headline News during a March 2019 interview. “I lost my mom, my dad, and my only son to death, and I really feel that God was removing all of my leaning posts so that I could find my connection and my calling in life and, more so, to help me maximize my potential.”
‘IF YA DIDN’T KNOW, NOW YA KNOW’
By and large, Scott Jackson said the exposure and support these rising young business owners will acquire during Next Level Top Up Stop Kidz Entrepreneurs is something that will prove beneficial to them for years to come.
“The main purpose of the event is to show these mentees God and how to live an abundant blessed life the kingdom way and to socialize life skills on a different level,” Scott Jackson said.
