“I was lost and confused, wondering why no one wanted me,” Payne, a Baltimore, Maryland-based educator for the Baltimore City Public Schools, said during a recent interview with Making Headline News, recalling arguably one of the darkest seasons of her life. “I was feeling abandoned as an adult and I was confused because I thought that I was giving my all to my family and my loved ones, but I could never measure up to the expectations. After hearing the title of this project, I was compelled to share my story of becoming a virtuous woman.”

THROUGH THE YEARS
Payne joined the Women of Virtue Walking In Excellence book project in 2019, forming a close-knit collaborative relationship that has continued with the release of its latest book in the series in 2021.
“I completed Volume 3 in the summer of 2021 in the heart of the pandemic,” said Payne, “and God was beginning to restore what was lost.”
To her credit, Payne has been written five books to date, including We Pray God Moves and Iron Sharpens Iron.
Three additional books, she said, are forthcoming: There Is A Song In My Testimony (projected to be released in Summer 2023), Devotions From A Soldier (Scheduled to be released in winter 2022), and The One Who Healed My Heart (scheduled to debut in 2023).
