Now we that are stronger ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. (Romans 15:1)

Schellie Fanfan remembers all too well how it all unfolded.
That’s for sure.
“I remember the moment like it was yesterday,” Fanfan, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the life-altering developments that have greatly inspired her to spearhead the inaugural Teach Me How To Heal: The Reframe Conference. “I was kneeling on the floor, trying to figure out how I had gotten to that point. I was lost and terribly wounded.
At the time, Fanfan recalls, such an unlikely encounter transpired during which she was the chief executive officer for a large community mental health center with facilities in three different cities.

“I was a high achiever that was crushing goals while deteriorating on the inside,” Fanfan told MHN. “While I was functional and observably thriving, I was not healed and not even close to operating in my full potential. While I was hoping the emotional pain would all go away, we do not get wiser with fewer challenges. We do not get stronger when life gets easier. While completely uncomfortable, it was my season for breaking forth.”
And “breaking forth” Fanfan would ultimately accomplish, as evidenced by the startup of her highly-anticipated conference, which is scheduled to take place April 15 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel, located at 9939 Universal Blvd. in Orlando.

For Fanfan, the mastermind behind Ask Schellie Consulting, her rise to hosting a credible empowerment assembly comes amid humble beginnings.
“After years of teaching, motivating, and counseling others, I had reached a point in my life where I needed to apply all that I had taught to my own life in order to overcome depression, anxiety, stress, suicidal thoughts, divorce, and intense anger,” Fanfan explained. “I was intentional. I was consistent. I was relentless with my journey to living in my smile.

“I journaled and memorialized this breakthrough season in my life to be able to teach the world the secret sauce to self-acceptance and internal joy that does not rely on external life circumstances,” Fanfan continued. “What makes me different from the rest? Not only do I teach it, I lived it. Through vulnerability with strong mentors and counselors, I was able to go from a highly functional successful woman to a highly functional, healed, and whole successful woman with the capacity to be present in a healthy way in the multiple roles I hold as a change agent. I understand the power of practical steps to wellness through the intentional enhancement of emotional intelligence.”
Powered by Ask Schellie Consulting, LLC, Teach Me How To Heal: The Reframe Conference is a one-day mental health assembly designed to educate and empower attendees on what it looks like to achieve emotional healing and mental health stability.
Generally, attendees will learn about various types of therapeutic interventions and will be inspired by professionals who have facilitated healing in their areas of expertise, most notably understanding the various types of therapeutic treatments, to gaining insight into what a road to recovery and maintenance looks like, Fanfan said.

In essence, this conference will help “unlock greater versions” of the attendees who are waiting to thrive in life, Fanfan emphasized.
“Teach Me How To Heal: The Reframe Conference is an experiential conference featuring wellness experts, clinicians, and intense learning,” Fanfan explained.
The conference will include what is known as therapeutic breakout rooms that include hypnosis — for VIP only — as well as stress and anxiety, depression, trauma, and self-worth. Also, there will be recovery rooms to decompress after breakout sessions that include art therapy, dance, aroma therapy with meditation, and yoga.
“It will be a complete mental wellness experience,” said Fanfan, adding that she anticipates tickets to sellout for her inaugural conference.
A bestselling author and Florida State Licensed Mental Health Counselor who has been transforming lives through the provision of evidence-based therapy for 22 years, Fanfan has been in private practice for 17 years.
DESTINY STEPS
Her areas of expertise include symptom management with the severe and persistent mentally ill, mood regulation with trauma survivors (to include human sex trafficking victims), breaking drug and alcohol addictions, and helping exclusively dating partnerships with healing from intimacy injury, among others.
“I no longer have to hide behind success. I can stand on it to make my message the loudest,” Fanfan said. “Change agents cannot take others to destinations they have not arrived. That is why my purpose fuels me to bring people out of emotional spaces that do not align with the abundance and prosperity that is available to us all.”
