FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
Cornita Cole made her ceremonious authorship debut some two years ago.
This year, however, undoubtedly has been her most productive as an accomplished writer.
Amongst the reasons is that unlike the previous two years, Cole has composed two books in 2024.
Her latest published masterpiece: CeCe’s Birthday Party: All About The Human Body, Cole’s highly-anticipated new book that made its official debut in late July.

As part of Making Headline News’ advance national coverage of Sarah Jakes Roberts’ Second Annual Woman Evolve Conference that takes place September 26-28 from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Cole, an esteemed Washington, D.C.-area author, acknowledged, among other things, her vision for spearheading CeCe’s Birthday Party: All About The Human Body surfaced approximately a year or so ago.
“I felt inspired to create an animated and educational story that introduces children to the wonders of the human body in a way that is both engaging and accessible,” Cole told MHN.

Per an Amazon synopsis of Cole’s latest book, it’s safe to assume this empowering, riveting written work is as good as advertised.
“Follow CeCe as she wanders through her garden, meeting characters that represent different parts of the human body,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Cole’s CeCe’s Birthday Party: All About The Human Body. “The garden in this book is not just a setting but a metaphor for the incredible, interconnected systems that sustain life.
“Come and meet, Bomi the Brain, Kameko and Kiaa, the Kidneys, and Colin the Colin. I am confident that this book will inspire countless young minds to explore the wonders of the human body and nurture the next generation of curious thinkers.”
By all accounts, Cole said the primary reason for producing a book of this magnitude is centered in large part on sparking curiosity and excitement about science and health in young children.
“I wanted to provide parents and educators with a tool that makes learning about the human body enjoyable and memorable. This book is a part of a children’s brand that focuses on social and emotional learning.”
Cole began composing CeCe’s Birthday Party three months ago and completed the book in mid-July.
For this resourceful, gifted writer, it undoubtedly was time well spent.
“The entire process,” said Cole, “from conceptualization to final edits, illustrations and final formatting took about four months.”
Cole witnessed her authorship debut come full circle in 2022 with the release of A New Kidney For Mom: A Story About Kidney.
Consequently, she composed Grandpa Isn’t Feeling Well: A Story About Colon Cancer in 2023.
And, earlier this year, Cole released her third book, this one entitled, Am I Too Young: A Story about How Kids Can Cope With The Loss of A Loved One.
As for the hoopla surrounding her latest published work, Cole, as usual, has become the beneficiary of an outpour of support.
“The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive,” Cole told MHN. “Parents, educators, and children alike have praised the book for its engaging story, vibrant illustrations, and educational value. Many have noted how it makes learning about the human body fun and interesting for kids. The previous book titles have made a home in libraries and schools across the countries. We have also shipped bulk orders of 100 or more to medical institutions in partnership to promote health awareness.”
Interestingly enough, Cole said producing children’s books that educate and inspire is a calling with which God has blessed her.
“I am a living kidney donor and had surgery in 2021,” Cole recalls. “A year later, I lost my partner of 14 years to colon cancer. Trauma and heartbreak inspired me to write caring and inspirational stories about the human body.
“Through these stories, I aim to nurture curiosity, impart knowledge, and instill a sense of wonder in young minds. CeCe’s Birthday Party is an extension of this purpose, helping children understand and appreciate the divine design of their own bodies through animation.”
Additional written works, Cole announced, are on the horizon.
“Yes, I have several ideas in the pipeline,” she said. “More importantly are the care dolls, plush toys, AI learning tools and activity workbooks that are in production.”
PURPOSE PUSHER
Continued Cole:
“I would just like to emphasize how important it is to nurture a love for learning in children from a young age. Books like CeCe’s Birthday Party and the other published books in the collection are tools that can help foster that love. Additionally, as the CEO and Publisher of my children’s brand, I am dedicated to creating resources that inspire and educate.
“I also want to acknowledge Misbah A. Gill, MD, MPH, for her invaluable contribution in writing the foreword,” Cole added. “Her insights and expertise in human anatomy have greatly enriched this book. I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute to children’s education and look forward to continuing this journey with future books and projects.”
