“I was born to inspire…equipped to empower. The BFLY(SM) brand of inspiration and the Wise Women Prosper(SM) movement are brilliant examples.” — Alonia Jones
IMMEASURABLE IMPACT
In case you don’t know her, Alonia Jones would like to introduce herself.
A native Atlanta, Jones could be appropriately described as a woman of many hats.
A public speaker and journalist in her own right, Jones, 53, is the mastermind behind Dream to Destiny Enterprises, her Georgia-based corporate communications and professional development company whose strategic mission is to help individuals and organizations get from where they are to where they want to be, particularly by way of a personal, professional and/or spiritual standpoint — or, as Jones emphasizes, “through the utilization of my expert writing skills.”
That’s not all Jones does through her credible organization, she told Making Headline News this week in its Woman Thou Art Loosed Virtual Experience advance coverage leading to Bishop T. D. Jakes’ annual event that will take place October 15-17.

“I also do public speaking,” Jones explained. “Give me a topic and tell me the audience, I’ll give you an unforgettable message. Most people don’t know that I write as well as I speak…working to change that.”
Also, Jones’ Dream 2 Destiny Enterprises is comprised of progressive church and ministry, Dream to Destiny Ministries, as well as the BFLY℠ brand of inspiration and the Wise Women Prosper℠ movement.
Currently, Jones is a fixture at Arlington Christian School, where she serves as Communications Director and Campus Minister.
For Jones, a graduate of Atlanta’s Bass High School who acquired an undergraduate degree in English from the historic Spelman College, her rise to entrepreneurial success comes amid humble beginnings, particularly after the ceased operations of her credible Christian-based magazine, IMANI.
“I felt like a complete failure. I really felt like I had let God down,” Jones said of the stoppage of publication. “When I ended my pity party, I was selected as an exclusive features writer for a major Atlanta-based publication, Who’s Who in Black Atlanta. My work was so well received that I ended up being nominated for Most Outstanding Journalist by the California-based Electronic Urban Report.”
While Jones’ notable accolade was met by an unlikely crossroad — “It was truly a miracle because my emailed nomination arrived a day late and I was told that I was turned down,” she recalls — such an honor essentially fueled her fervent desire to broaden her horizon unlike never before.

“From that point in time, I went on a serious mission to help people discover their purpose so they can walk in their destiny,” Jones said. “I was already operating Dream 2 Destiny Enterprises, but from this experience was birthed the BFLY℠ brand of inspiration, which is a set of two specially designed butterflies.”
As Jones explained, the brand stands for: Be Fierce. Be Lifted. Be You.
As for what she appropriately deems the overall theme of this brand, Jones said: “Regardless of where you find yourself in your metamorphosis of life, you can make it if you don’t give up.”
And, then there was the ceremonious birthing of the Wise Women Prosper℠ movement, Jones’ annual women’s conference that bills itself as, “The ultimate experience for women destined and determined to live purpose-filled lives.”
Although the possibility exists that this year’s conference will not take place, Jones announced this week, she said plans are currently in the works to launch Wise Women Prosper℠ Magazine by year’s end.
Much to her delight, Jones’ assortment of achievements has given way to her having garnered international exposure.
“I have had the opportunity to grace the stage of the 2018 Success Women’s Conference — featuring motivational Lisa Nichols and Good Morning America host Robin Roberts — in Mississippi,” Jones said. “I have also preached in California and New York. Additionally, through the worldwide web, my business and ministry initiatives have touched people across the country, as well as internationally.”
Entrepreneurial ventures that service individuals and groups ranging mostly in ages 25-to-65, Jones’ supporting cast is headed by her mother, as well as globally acclaimed celebs Bishop T. D. Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Steve Harvey, George Fraser and “my shero,” Cathy Hughes, she said.
“My personal tagline is, ‘Born to inspire…equipped to empower,’” Jones said. “My mission is to help people discover their purpose so they can walk in their destiny. I believe far too many people are living beneath their privilege because they may have taken themselves for granted, or they just may not really and truly know who they are. I believe there is greatness in every person, and if I can help them tap into it, then I have done what God would have me to do.”
Appropriately and eloquently said by this beloved, bigger-than-life woman of faith, one who could be appropriately described as a woman of many hats.
