BOOK FAIR ALERT: Mid-South businesswoman Genisha Morton hosting a month-long virtual book fair in February

Andre Johnson February 3, 2021

She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard; She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. (Proverbs 31:16-17 NKJV)

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER

REMARKABLE CONCEPT — During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Memphis writer Genisha Morton announced that she has begun to host a month-long book fair during which she will strategically push and promote her featured book, The Commons: My Life In A Dream, as well as allow other authors and aspiring authors to follow suit.

Roughly one month into the New Year, Genisha Morton is going to great lengths to make the most of 2021.

Consider, for instance, the remarkably compelling strides Morton is orchestrating, particularly by way of her immeasurable gifts as a Mid-South-area author.
During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Morton announced that she has begun to host a month-long book fair during which she will strategically push and promote her featured book, The Commons: My Life In A Dream, as well as allow other authors and aspiring authors to follow suit.
The virtual event is effectively underway and will run through February 28 from noon to 3 p.m. CST, she told MHN.
Although Morton — who resides in Memphis — said she has garnered little interest from the general public about her virtual book fair, she’s confident that will change, much sooner than later.

“The goal is to attract readers and provide great content,” Morton, a native of Manhattan, New York, said. “So far, not much feedback…only likes and interests.”

Having made her ceremonious authorship debut in October 2011, Morton emphasized, among other things, that her book fair will especially enlighten her readers of the various types of material and subjects she customarily writes as a strategic, effective way to enable authors and prospective authors to eliminate what she describes as “the fears of the unknown.”

COME ONE, COME ALL — “As an author, I’ll be able to reach the people that my writing is meant to reach,” Morton said. “I also offer services such as editing, ghost writing, book publishing, etc.”

To her distinctly unique credit, Morton witnessed flashes of her rise to authorship success when she was child.

“I started having dreams about this book as a child,” Morton, during an October 2020 interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that led to the production of her featured book. “I only thought they were nightmares that wouldn’t go away. My first attempt to publish was in 2011.”

Approximately seven years later, in fact, Morton’s cherished masterpiece was finally completed as The Commons: My Life In A Dream made its much-anticipated debut.

A book that’s comprised of 167 pages in length, Morton’s The Commons: My Life In A Dream vividly tells a story many of us are afraid to tell, according to a detailed synopsis of this Memphis-based author’s book at Amazon.com.

After attending and graduating from Towers High School and Chamblee High School, respectively, Morton enrolled at Georgia State University and then Morris Brown College, where she studied music. Consequently, she enrolled at Lincoln College of Technology, where she acquired an Associate Degree in Medical Technology.  As for her book that is currently underway, Morton is hopeful that by month’s end, it would have been a success.

“As an author, I’ll be able to reach the people that my writing is meant to reach,” Morton said. “I also offer services such as editing, ghost writing, book publishing, etc.”

INFLUENTIAL IMPACT — Having made her ceremonious authorship debut in October 2011, Morton emphasized, among other things, that her book fair will especially enlighten her readers of the various types of material and subjects she customarily writes as a strategic, effective way to enable authors and prospective authors to eliminate what she describes as “the fears of the unknown.”
