Shreveport’s Raichal Linnear savoring sustained success as an accomplished entrepreneur

I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. (Philippians 4:13 KJV)

BLESSED REGARDLESS

DALLAS — Raichal Linnear isn’t about to let anything or anyone stop her from living her best life.

Never mind that she’s from inner city Shreveport, Louisiana.

At the end of the real day, Linnear is destined to make every single day count, is determined to broaden her horizon and maximize her potential.
After all, she knows full well she’s owes it to herself to press and navigate toward her purpose.
On purpose.
“I, Raichal, saw a need that I wanted to do more for myself and my family to having a functioning stability to where I can take care of my family and live the lifestyle that’s going to educate myself and learn who is Raichal Linnear as an adult to better herself,” Linnear told Making Headline News this week.

Given the immeasurable strides Linnear has made of late, particularly as a rising entrepreneur, it’s safe to assume she’s steadfastly positioning herself to possess and savor the stability she so desperately seeks.

Linnear, 39, is owner and chief executive officer of Thick Madame Boutique LLC, her Shreveport-based is a profitable organization that centers largely on providing public and government services for plus-sized adults globally.

Talk about stepping outside of her comfort, thus establishing a business venture that figures to garner sustained success, much sooner than later.

A business that is nearing its second year anniversary on September 16, Linnear entrepreneurial resume is also comprised of her assuming the role as a business specialist consultant, whereby she’s aids with a variety of assistance programs such as employment training, educational training and trade, as well as housing assistance programs for plus-sized individuals.

As for Thick Madame Boutique, Linnear’s venture offers an array of business clothing apparels as a retail outlet for business-minded individuals along with royal elegant dresses, as well as casual and African apparels.

Interestingly, Linnear customarily designs her own customized accessories, footwear, and cosmetics.

And then there is Thick Madame Modeling Agency, which is an adult entertainment program exclusively for plus-sized Americans who aspire to delve off into a modeling career as a strategic way to boost their image by way of generating exposure for their branding, Linnear emphasized.

Having credited entertainers Chris Brown and T.I. for inspiring her to start her businesses, Linnear’s said, “Right now, I’m in the progress of having map route to Place Thick Madame Boutique and to see it everywhere. I would love to see it in places such as Atlanta, Georgia, Dallas, Jamaica, Africa, Los Angeles, and Paris.

GOD’S PLAN — Raichal Linnear, 39, is owner and chief executive officer of Thick Madame Boutique LLC, her Sherveport, Lousiana-based profitable organization that centers largely on providing public and government services for plus-sized adults globally.

Her itinerary includes, among other things, her hosting a business-related shower event and what is known as the Thick Madame Royale Fashion Runway at dates that have yet to be determined.

For what it’s worth, Linnear is overwhelmingly grateful of the fact that God has blessed her to achieve sustained success as a young businesswoman, who’s convinced her best and brightest days are well ahead of her.

“It is important (to esteem others daily), because I want everyone to know that your past does not defined who you are,” Linnear said. “You are the writer of your story. Where there is an ending, there is a new beginning. Push through your pain and see the Light (God) at the tunnel. For everything you go through, there’s a lesson to be learn, a story to be a testimony.”

Appropriately said, by a progressive, thriving businesswoman, one who isn’t about to let anything or anyone stop her from living her best life.

Never mind that she’s from inner city Shreveport.

Shreveport’s own LaTiffany Dunn-Ivory making remarkable strides as Dallas/Fort Worth-area actress

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

IN HER ELEMENT

HEADED IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION — A Dallas/Fort Worth-area businesswoman, LaTiffany Dunn-Ivory, 35, is in the prime of an acting career she hopes will attract more of a global presence much sooner than later.

DALLAS — LaTiffany Dunn-Ivory doesn’t have to boast or brag or flaunt, particularly when it comes to her immeasurable career as an actress.

That’s because her resume undoubtedly speaks for itself.
DEFYING ALL ODDS — A professional acting stint that spans a little more than nine years, Dunn-Ivory has gone to great lengths to weather arguably the toughest of obstacles, to clear arguably the grandest of hurdles, all the while steadfastly finding her niche in the process.
“I’ve been acting since 2010, but really knew l could do it professionally in 2012,” Dunn-Ivory, during an interview this week with Making Headline News said, referring to her notable role she landed in the film entitled, “The American Justice with Tiny Lister.”
A Dallas/Fort Worth-area businesswoman, Dunn-Ivory, 35, is in the prime of an acting career she hopes will attract more of a global presence much sooner than later.

To her credit, the acting tenure of this Shreveport, Louisiana native is certainly shaping up to be one that figures to turn heads of several of the industry’s big names directors and producers, in large part because, well, her resume undoubtedly speaks for itself.

A professional acting stint that spans a little more than nine years, Dunn-Ivory has gone to great lengths to weather arguably the toughest of obstacles, to clear arguably the grandest of hurdles, all the while steadfastly finding her niche in the process.

As if that isn’t enough to turn heads, this resourceful, resilient actress — who’s armed with a wealth of swagger and beauty — is positioning herself mightily to garner even more nationwide exposure in the coming months.

HOLDING IT DOWN — A graduate of Homer (Louisiana) High School, Dunn-Ivory’s passion for acting stems all the way back to elementary school days. As she vividly recalls, it was her kindergarten teacher who’s responsible for having inspired her to follow her dreams. Fortunately for Dunn-Ivory, she’s done just that, all the while going after all they say she couldn’t have.

Much to her delight, Dunn-Ivory’s itinerary is becoming quite congested, considering she’s scheduled to appear in a variety of plays, including:

  • “Something Else To Talk About” on April 28, during which she will play the character “Cheryl”

  • “Insincere Twins” on June 1, a red carpet premiere during which she will assume the role as the character “T’s Receptionist.

  • “Skin Deep” on June 15, during which she will play “Nurse Paula” and,

  • “Black DIAMOND” in July (on a date to be announced), a red carpet premiere during which she will assume the role as “Fiend.”

Fortunately for Dunn-Ivory, she’s done just that, all the while going after all they say she couldn’t have.

TEXAS TWO STEP

AND THE WINNER IS — For her immeasurable contributions to her selected industry, Dunn-Ivory has positioned herself to become the beneficiary of yet another accolade. She is a nominee for Best Supporting Actress in the upcoming Church Stars Awards, which will take September 28. Voting begins in July.

Look at her today, functioning fervently in her distinctly unique element with God, her Helper, steering the way, thus allowing her remarkably brilliant gifts to make room for her.

“I remember it like yesterday, sitting in the back of Mrs. Gearhart’s class, just singing (R & B entertainer) Karen White’s Superwoman like I was at home and she walked to the middle of the class and asked me to step outside,” said Dunn-Ivory, recalling a Kindergarten memory that essentially changed her life. “l thought l was in trouble for interrupting her class.”

But what Dunn-Ivory had ultimately discovered was that it was only a brief, impromptu counsel by her teacher, one that essentially jumpstarted her quest to connecting with the purpose for which she was created.

Interestingly, Dunn-Ivory has shown virtually no signs that she intends to slow down anytime soon, not in the prime of an acting career that seems well on path to giving way to even greater success.

“She walked me to in Ms. Emerson’s class and was like, ‘You have to hear her voice,’” Dunn-Ivory explained. “So l sang for her. Next thing you know, we’re going from classroom to classroom and I was justa singing. In that moment, l realized a star was born and I nurtured my gifts.”

And the rest, as they say, was history.

Interestingly, Dunn-Ivory has shown virtually no signs that she intends to slow down anytime soon, not when she’s in the prime of an acting career that seems well on path to giving way to even greater success.

A former Grambling State University student who relocated in September 2005 to the Dallas/Fort Worth-area, Dunn-Ivory’s work has been seen in Oklahoma, Texas, her native home state, as well as in several establishments outside of the United States.

“The competitiveness (in this industry) has taught me that for every ‘No’ at an audition, the ‘Yes’ is around the corner, and it’s up to me to go get it and show that I deserve it,” Dunn-Ivory said. “I’m also a firm believer that what’s for me, no one can take that away, so I continue to strive daily and go get what’s already mine.”

For Dunn-Ivory, it’s a foregone conclusion that acting and assuming various roles essentially comes natural to her.

As if anyone should really be surprised.

As Dunn-Ivory vividly recalls, it was her kindergarten teacher who’s responsible for having inspired her to follow her dreams. Fortunately for Dunn-Ivory, she’s done just that, all the while going after all they say she couldn’t have.

“The fact that in each character or role I play, I leave the audience with an inspirational impression that could be life changing to them,” Dunn-Ivory said. “I love being a tool to bring people’s visions to life.”

She is a nominee for Best Supporting Actress in the upcoming Church Stars Awards, which will take September 28.

Now with plans of ending a five-year hiatus in the singing studio, Dunn-Ivory emphasized, among other things, she’s just giddy in that she’s been blessed to walk in her purpose.

THIS GIRL IS ON FIRE

SHE AIN’T DONE — Now with plans of ending a five-year hiatus in the singing studio, Dunn-Ivory emphasized, among other things, she’s just giddy in that she’s been blessed to walk in her purpose.

“It’s imperative that I inspire others, because every step I have made, I earned it,” Dunn-Ivory said. “There was a time when that thing called sickle cell anemia had me down for years. The devil intended to take me out. But God. Here l am today, a healthy 35-year-old, inspiring those around me that life ain’t easy. It’s challenging, but also what you make it to be. You have to power to create your path, and if you can vision it, you can achieve it.”

She would know.

Especially since her resume undoubtedly speaks for itself.

Something about which she doesn’t have to boasts or brag to flaunt.

Letitia Scott Jackson’s DFW-based Keeping Families Connected nonprofit organization becoming a national fixture

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.” (Matthew 25:40 NIV)

DALLAS — Letitia Scott Jackson took to the airwaves over the weekend for all the right reasons.

Appearing on Dallas/Fort Worth’s 97.9 The Beat, Scott Jackson wasted little time offering some rather profound, spirited words of encouragement to the station’s thousands of listeners across the Metroplex.

ALL IN THE FAMILY

WELCOME TO YOUR NEW SEASON — A Dallas/Fort Worth-based non-profit organization that Leititia Scott Jackson erected approximately four years ago, the strategic mission of Keeping Families Connected is centered in large part on enriching the lives of young people, most notably through events, as well as by way of providing educational resources, mentoring, and counseling services.
Said Scott Jackson in a rather forthright suggestion. “If you woke up this morning and didn’t thank God for waking you up, you are out of order.”
To grasp a thorough concept of why the opportunistic Scott Jackson deems it essential to embrace virtually every opportunity that’s afforded to her, look no further than how God has gone about moving on her behalf during a time when it seemed countless of others had written her off.

Wrongfully convicted only to wound up emerging victorious during her case that unfolded in the Texas Fifth Circuit Courts, Scott Jackson had become greatly inspired to establish Keeping Families Connected.

A DFW-based nonprofit organization that Scott Jackson erected approximately four years ago, the strategic mission of Keeping Families Connected is centered in large part on enriching the lives of young people, most notably through events, as well as by way of providing educational resources, mentoring, and counseling services.

“We believe that family matters most,” said a spokesperson for this thriving, flourishing nonprofit organization in a detailed overview at https://www.keepingfamilyconnected.org/.

A native of Houston who was raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Scott Jackson is thoroughly convinced that her organization is steadily becoming a fixture throughout the region but, most importantly, she’s convinced it aligns solely with the purpose for which she was created.

DOING IT BIG IN TEXAS — Appearing on Dallas/Fort Worth’s 97.9 The Beat over the weekend, Scott Jackson wasted little time offering some rather profound words of encouragement to the station’s thousands of listeners across the Metroplex.

“My mission is for Keeping Families Connected to become a household name worldwide and eventually be able to provide free prison transportation in other states as the need is so great,” Scott Jackson told Making Headline News this week.

In order to better aid and promote her organization — particularly on national platforms — Scott Jackson has announced that she and her staff  will be launching a Keeping Families mobile app, which is scheduled to go into effect as early as June 1, 2019 during its Third Annual Creations of Fashion For A Cause Runway Show.

This yearly event, Scott Jackson said, is designed for children from various walks of life, particularly teens and young adults from Keeping Families Connected, during which they will participate in modeling, as well as meet and interact with professional models.

For Scott Jackson, the startup of her organization comes amid arguably the darkest chapter of her life.

“I couldn’t see my kids, because they were left with caregivers, who couldn’t afford to bring them to see them,” said Scott Jackson, recalling the tumultuous developments that fueled her desire to establish her nonprofit. “My daughters were in Louisiana and I was in Texas.”

Still, after the dust had ultimately settled and Scott Jackson had emerged victorious by winning her case, it wasn’t long thereafter that God had emphatically showed her why He had entrusted her to endure, yet conquer so much heartache and pain, both of which she emphatically outlasted.

Look at her today, walking fervently in her purpose as an accomplished businesswoman, who’s also widely known as a published author, public speaker, musician, and humanitarian.

To her credit, she birthed Keeping Families Connected out of “a personal desire,” one that would enable her to customarily make meaningful contributions to the lives of those who are incarcerated while being separated an extended period time from family members.

MAKING MUCH NOISE — Interestingly and to her credit, Scott Jackson’s Keeping Families Connected is, by all accounts, an effective institution, considering it’s also committed to rebuilding families and fostering life skills in youth and young adults from broken homes, Scott Jackson emphasized.

“Ever since (she was wrongfully convicted), she wants to spread the hope of redemption and connection one interaction, a letter to an inmate, and one prison visit at a time,” said a spokesperson for Scoot Jackson’s organization. “She also has a passion for speaking to youth and young adults about making the best choices now based on her own past experiences. She has been blessed to build several businesses and mentor students and members of her church to define their own success.”

“My mission is for Keeping Families Connected to become a household name worldwide and eventually be able to provide free prison transportation in other states as the need is so great,” Scott Jackson told Making Headline News this week.

Interestingly and to her credit, Scott Jackson’s Keeping Families Connected is, by all accounts, an effective institution, considering it’s also committed to rebuilding families and fostering life skills in youth and young adults from broken homes, she emphasized.

“For four years, we have been providing free breakfast, lunch, and transportation to prison facilities throughout the state of Texas for (people), especially kids that have incarcerated parents and individuals that have incarcerated loved ones,” Scott Jackson said.

Talk about being in total alignment with the purpose for which she was created.

COMING FULL CIRCLE

SEASON OF THE REBIRTH — To her credit, Scott Jackson birthed Keeping Families Connected out of “a personal desire,” one that would enable her to customarily make meaningful contributions to the lives of those who are incarcerated while being separated an extended period time from family members.

“My life’s trials and tribulations set me up for this journey,” Scott said. “I lost my mom, my dad, and my only son to death, and I really feel that God was removing all of my leaning posts so that I could find my connection and my calling in life and, more so, to help me maximize my potential.”

To her credit, she’s doing just that.

And, what’s remarkably astounding is that she’s nowhere out of order.

Not by a long shot.

Houston businesswoman Dr. Tracy Allen entering her 26th year as an accomplished income tax preparer

DALLAS — The annual tax peak season is officially underway.

And once again, Houston businesswoman Dr. Tracy Allen is greatly prepared to assist taxpayers to achieve their goals and objectives, particularly with regards to fielding sizable federal tax refunds.

A native of Alexandria, Louisiana, Allen’s professional experience in the ever-so-competitive tax industry spans nearly three decades.

SETTING TRENDS

DESTINY STEPS — The owner and CEO of TA Tax & Accounting, Dr. Tracy Allen’s rise as one of Houston’s finest tax preparers began sometime in 1992, during which she initially commenced to preparing taxes as a hobby.

The owner and CEO of TA Tax & Accounting, Allen’s rise as one of Houston’s finest tax preparers began sometime in 1992, during which she initially commenced to preparing taxes as a hobby.

However, as she began to field constant requests and inquiries from individuals about preparing their taxes, it wasn’t long thereafter that she deemed it essential to establish a business venture.

Here is she today, steadfastly fulfilling and carrying out her vision with God, her Helper, leading the way.

“(I love) helping people get the most money for less and helping others become free of IRS debt from back taxes and audits,” Allen told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

All things considered, there’s even one intriguing goal Allen acknowledged she’d like to accomplish much sooner than later.

“(I’d like to) become financially free and retire early,” said Allen, a longtime Certified Public Accountant and psychologist.

A business venture that accommodates people ranging in ages 18-and-up, Allen’s TA & TA Tax & Accounting customarily services tax payers nationwide.

“(I assist) everyone, ages 18 to 100,” Allen said. “If you work, are paid in taxes, or own a business — big or small — or corporations (I can help you).”

For what it’s worth, Allen’s passion for establishing her own tax preparation business was spearheaded in large part from the continuous backing and valiant support of her family.

Even after the death of her husband a little more than two decades ago, Allen sensed that as a single parent, it is absolutely essential that she go to great lengths to birth her vision as a rising entrepreneur.

Yep. Here is she, still fulfilling and carrying out her vision with God, her Helper, leading the way.

“My children have always been my inspiration,” Allen said. “I was 27 when I lost their father and my husband and I had to provide for them as a single mother, and I had to do everything I could to make sure they had the best of everything.”

Today, unlike never before, Allen’s TA & TA Tax & Accounting is such that it is committed to helping ensure that its clients’ achieve the maximum satisfaction through its services.

KEEP ON PRESSING — Even after the death of her husband a little more than two decades ago, Allen sensed that as a single parent, it is absolutely essential that she go to great lengths to birth her vision as a rising entrepreneur.

“I live to help others in all walks of life,” said Allen, who is scheduled to participate in the Heart 4 The Homeless Fashion Show in March. “I do not walk my living to be in vain.”

Amongst the reasons she has become destined to esteeming others highly than herself is that she journeys through life — as precious and fragile as it — exemplifying the golden rule.

“I live by treat others as you wish to be treated,” Allen said. “Helping others to succeed has always been my passion.”

Houston’s Kateri McKnight savoring the best of both worlds as an entrepreneur, accomplished author

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES KATERI T. MCKNIGHT

DALLAS — Kateri McKnight isn’t just an accomplished businesswoman.

She’s one who has become thoroughly committed to ensuring that she continues to function diligently in her element.

Not only that, McKnight has deemed it essential to go to great lengths to reach back and help like-minded individuals to follow suit.

RAISING THE BAR

WOMAN OF DISTINCT POWER — Houston businesswoman Kateri T. McKnight assumes the role as CEO of Velocity Changers, a globally-acclaimed company that is centered largely on offering it clients innovative ways to get their stories from out their spirits onto paper or, as McKnight jokingly says, on to “kindle.”

“My personal mission is to empower and inspire those to open their hearts in order to open their minds to reach out to others with their writing skills,” McKnight told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

The mission which McKnight is alluding is that about which she assumes the role as CEO of Velocity Changers, a globally-acclaimed company that is centered largely on offering it clients innovative ways to get their stories from out their spirits onto paper or, as McKnight jokingly says, on to “kindle.”

“We cater to most genres, but are particular to inspirational, empowerment-based fiction, business, and relational stories,” McKnight, 33, said of her business venture that is customarily accompanied by the slogan, ‘We change lives one book at a time.’

PUTTIN’ IN WORK — McKnight isn’t just an accomplished businesswoman. She’s one who has become thoroughly committed to ensuring that she continues to function diligently in her element.

A native the New Orleans, McKnight — who resides in Houston — said that she essentially was birthed into the entrepreneurship industry.

“Entrepreneurship has been all around me as my parents, uncles, and even neighbors in my grandmother’s neighborhood always had a means to help others through a paid skill. As I ventured into adulthood, the constraints of the 9-to-5 (job) life always left me sorely underwhelmed and innovatively distraught from a lack of creative flow and the inability to increase my income with perfected skills.” — Texas Businesswoman Kateri T. McKnight

That certainly isn’t the case today for McKnight, a sharp and resourceful businesswoman, who has surely enjoyed her share of sustained success as her own boss.

ANOTHER MASSIVE MILESTONE — McKnight recently witnessed the much-anticipated release of her second book, which is entitled, “Whispering Passions: Secret Of The Meadows.” An informative and intriguing project that hit the market via Amazon & Barnes and Noble online on December 15, McKnight will publicly promote her newly-assembled book during an official release party on January 15.

“I love the fact that I am able to pace my own creative flow and open others to do the same,” said McKnight, when asked what she loves the most about her business. “The very moment my clients have that rush of creative spark is when the flow becomes automatic and the inspiration becomes more infused into the work being completed.”

Having graduated in the top 20 percent of her class at New Orleans’ O. Perry Walker Senior High School, McKnight holds an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Health from Cameron College and is currently pursuing a four-year degree in Business Administration/Entrepreneurship.

An Air Force veteran, McKnight was serviced in Operation Enduring Freedom, as well as the Operation Iraqi Freedom Era.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — Having graduated in the top 20 percent of her class at New Orleans’ O. Perry Walker Senior High School, McKnight holds an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Health from Cameron College and is currently pursuing a four-year degree in Business Administration/Entrepreneurship.

As for Velocity Changers, she said she is committed to ensuring that it remains a center, of sorts, for authors and bloggers — “novice and seasoned,” she said — who need assistance in finding their voice to write their creative work in efforts to publish and become bestsellers.

“We have both Do-It-With-You and Do-It-For-You packages where we go from the brainstorming process, all the way to marketing and publishing in both group and one-on-one settings,” McKnight said.

Interestingly and to her credit, McKnight’s flourishing business has fueled her desire to become more of a fixture in the authorship industry.

That’s because she recently witnessed the much-anticipated release of her second book, which is entitled, “Whispering Passions: Secret Of The Meadows.”

A business that caters mostly to women — “and some men,” she said — ranging in ages 24 and 60, McKnight established Velocity Changers in 2014.

To her credit, it has been a constant success ever since.

“Positivity is my life,” McKnight said. “Without affirmations, well-wishes, and hopeful gestures, the spirit dies. So for me, inspiring and esteeming others is second nature just as breathing. Everyone has a story to tell, but most need a guide to help them pull it out of them and the confidence to stand in it.”

Louisiana author Brenda Robinson obeys God’s Voice, savors her new book come to pass

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES BRENDA RAY ROBINSON

For Brenda Ray Robinson, her much-anticipated breakthrough came wrapped up in a spiritual confession, of sorts.

“God spoke to me through my healing process three years ago, but I ignored His voice,” Robinson, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the pivotal and memorable events that had ultimately given way to her having delved off into the competitive world of authorship. “I was hurt and shame. I didn’t want the world to know my business.”

What Robinson had eventually discovered, meanwhile, was that God wasn’t merely commanding that she tell all of her personal business.

WOMAN THOU ART LOOSED — And so it came to pass in December 2017 that Brenda Ray Robinson, a Shreveport, Louisiana-based author had witnessed the ceremonious release of her book entitled, “A Grace Filled Marriage: Marriage On A Mission.”

Rather, His strategic plan for her was that she devise ways to help advance the kingdom through her assortment of emotionally-driven and awe-inspiring testimonies.

And so it came to pass in December 2017 that Robinson, a Shreveport, Louisiana-based author, had witnessed the ceremonious release of her book entitled, “A Grace Filled Marriage: Marriage On A Mission.”

“It was enough that the few people knew (of my trying situation), but not the world,” Robinson said. “God told me to write and He will heal me.”

And just as He always does, God did just that.

A book that is comprised of 98 pages in length, Robinson’s “A Grace Filled Marriage: Marriage On A Mission” is designed in large part to help encourage and equip couples to overcome the issues in their marriage, as mentioned in a synopsis of the book at Amazon.com.

Credit Robinson for having finally stepping aside and letting God be God.

“God told me He will prepare me for the purpose (of my book),” Robinson said. “I kept on writing and listening to sermons on marriage and infidelity.”

As time progressed, coupled with Robinson’s fervent act of obedience, God’s steadfastly began to heal and mature and, much to her delight, He began to bless her mightily for such a time as now.

Never mind that during extended period of time, she still managed to harbor a spirit of hardheadedness.

IF GOD SAID IT, THAT SETTLES IT — The very moment Robinson had effectively elected to follow God’s instructions, that essentially jump-started what has undoubtedly transformed into a much-anticipated harvest season.

“I still said, ‘Oh no, I won’t do it,’” Robinson said. “It took me two years to finally obey God’s voice. God said, ‘Didn’t I tell you everything will be okay and to have the book out by 201(7)?’ God told me to take the 7 out of 17 and that meant completion and 201(8) will be new beginning.”

And the rest, as they say, was history.

The very moment Robinson had effectively elected to follow God’s instructions, that essentially jump-started what has undoubtedly transformed into a much-anticipated harvest season.

Credit her for having finally stepping aside and letting God be God.

TEARS OF JOY — For Louisiana author and businesswoman Brenda Ray Robinson, her much-anticipated breakthrough came wrapped up in a spiritual confession, of sorts.

“God will never leave nor forsake you,” said Robinson, uttering the familiar, yet powerful words that make up Deuteronomy 31:6. “We have to know Gods voice and obey. Everything happens for a reason and a season. You have to go through the process to get to the purpose.”

To her credit, coupled with the divine calling on her life, Robinson has appropriately discovered her purpose amid arguably the most tumultuous season of her life.

A book that is comprised of 98 pages in length, Robinson’s “A Grace Filled Marriage: Marriage On A Mission” is designed in large part to help encourage and equip couples to overcome the issues in their marriage, as mentioned in a synopsis of the book at Amazon.com.

“Through the power of forgiveness and the rekindling of passion and purpose in marriage, they are confident that marriages can survive anything through the word of God and that passion can be restored,” said an Amazon.com spokesperson for Robinson’s “A Grace Filled Marriage: Marriage On A Mission.”

Since the release of her new book, Robinson has become the beneficiary of as assortment of rave reviews.

OH TASTE AND SEE — To her credit, coupled with the divine calling on her life, Robinson has appropriately discovered her purpose amid arguably the most tumultuous season of her life.

Thank God she was determined to possess a breakthrough even when reaping a breakthrough seemed very much farfetched.

“I wanted to let go, but God said, ‘No, I got you,’” Robinson recalled. “God said, ‘I will bless you and your way will be smooth.’ God let me know that He will comfort me and give me the strength to carry out this task so (my husband and I) can be a blessing to help other marriages and relationships heal.

“God gave me the title alone with the chapters that will fit my story and help heal hearts.”

Yep. That’s just like God, always providing for His people a way of escape.

Credit Robinson for having finally stepping aside and letting God be God.

The WORD Network to air Prophetess Maria Vaughn’s 4th Annual Eagle Excellence Awards in September 2019

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES PROPHETESS MARIA VAUGHN AND THE WORD NETWORK

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. (1 Timothy 5:17)

Dr. Maria Vaughn wasn’t just born and raised in the church.

Because of who she is and because of where God is taking her, her reputation is such that she routinely goes to great lengths to advance the kingdom.

In remarkably impressive fashion for the most part.

“My mother is an evangelist and my father is a deacon,” Dr. Vaughn told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “I have great support from my family, which I draw strength from.”

THE PROVERBS 31 FACTOR — Widely known throughout the Body of Christ as Prophetess Maria Vaughn, this Crisfield, Maryland native is not only the proud Founder and CEO of Exodus Deliverance Outreach Ministries, Inc., her Lakewood, New Jersey-based non-profit organization — which has sponsored an assortment of community-related events and awarded scholarships to prospective college students — but she has gained widespread respect amongst her peers for having organized the Eagle Excellence Awards Ceremony.

Such unyielding family support, coupled with the massive divine calling on her life, have benefited Dr. Vaughn mightily, considering her ministry is steadily attracting more of global presence.

NATIONAL IMPACT — Next year’s Eagle Excellence Awards Ceremony, which will be nationally televised by The WORD Network, will be hosted by Bishop Greg Davis and will take place on September 7, 2019 at 5 p.m. EST from Lakewood, New Jersey.

An event that is entering its fourth year of existence, the Eagle Excellence Awards is widely regarded as a mandate, of sorts, whereby organizers deem it essential to honor, celebrate, and encourage Pastors, reminding them, among other things, that their immeasurable kingdom-based work is not being executed in vain.

“Although their ultimate reward will come from God, we deem it necessary to give thanks to them for the years of selfless service that they give to the Kingdom of God,” said a spokesperson for the Eagle Excellence Awards in a synopsis at https://www.eagleawards.org/.

Roughly a month removed from the latest awards ceremony, Dr. Vaughn’s Fourth Annual Eagle Excellence Awards Show figures to be just as adventurous, thus attracting more of a universal presence.

That’s because next year’s event, which will be nationally televised by The WORD Network, will be hosted by Bishop Greg Davis, and will take place on September 7, 2019 at 5 p.m. EST from Lakewood, New Jersey.

Available in over 200 countries while reaching millions of viewers in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and appearing in nearly 93 million homes in the United States, The WORD Network is widely regarded as largest African-American religious network in the world.

WORTHY OF DOUBLE HONOR — Interestingly, Eagle Excellence Awards organizers have had the luxury of paying homage to more than 150 Pastors from around the country, in part because a number of them haven’t gotten the respect and exposure they rightfully deserve, Dr. Vaughn emphasized.

If the previous three years are any indication, it’s safe to assume that next year’s event figures to attract a slew of prominent personalities throughout the Body of Christ.

“We have been able to host many ministry leaders in the communities to bless the Body of Christ,” Dr. Vaughn said.

Amongst those leaders are Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Pastor Tye Tribbett, Evangelist Vicki Winans, Evangelist Karen Clark Sheard, Evangelist Dorinda Clark Cole, Bishop Jason Nelson, Charles Butler & Trinity, the Mann’s Tour, the Bloody Win Tour, Bishop Marvin Sapp, Le’Andria Johnson, and Tasha Page Lockhart, just to name a few.

“Many leaders have been overlooked for their sacrifices and endeavors. During our Eagle Excellence Awards ceremony, we have let the leaders know that their work is not being done in vain. Our desire is to be a blessing by giving back to our youth and communities.” — Prophetess Maria Vaughn

MUCH SPIRITUAL HOOPLA — If the previous three years are any indication, it’s safe to assume that the 2019 Eagle Excellence Awards figure to attract a slew of prominent personalities throughout the Body of Christ.

Also, next year’s Eagle Excellence Awards will be comprised of what Dr. Vaughn said are “specific changes,” most notably a newly-established production team, a variety of commercials and promos months leading to the event, as well as new marketing strategies that will enable organizers to enhance the event’s vision.

In addition, Dr. Vaughn and her staff are devising more effective and strategic ways to implement networking and continuing long-term relationships, all the while adding more volunteers and community involvement, particularly as it relates to creating more activities to brand the forthcoming Eagle Excellence Awards, she said.

Shreveport’s Myoshi Thomas conquers prison life, discovers her godly purpose through her new book

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES MYOSHI THOMAS

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Myoshi Thomas is a little less than two weeks away from the much-anticipated release of her very first book.

Judging by the continuous buzz and hoopla that have surfaced surrounding her remarkably compelling project, it would be hard-pressed to believe that Thomas’ awe-inspiring book, “Against All Odds: From The Jail Cell To Leather Chairs, My Story God’s Glory,” has yet to find its rightful place on the market.

“To be honest, it was spoken over my life many years ago and it took me about seven years to just do it,” Thomas, a native of Shreveport, Louisiana, told Making Headline News during a weekend interview. “Seven years to just step out on faith and just trust God. The number seven represent completion.”

HERE’S THE 411 — Judging by the continuous buzz and hoopla that have surfaced surrounding her remarkably compelling project, it would be hard-pressed to believe that author Myoshi Thomas’ awe-inspiring book, “Against All Odds: From The Jail Cell To Leather Chairs, My Story God’s Glory,” has yet to find its rightful place on the market.

Much to Thomas’ delight, she didn’t just complete an informative and emotionally inspiring book. Rather, she produced it in impressive fashion.

A book that will officially hit the market October 20 during a launch that will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. CST at Broadmoore Branch Library in Shreveport, Thomas’ “Against All Odds: From The Jail Cell To Leather Chairs, My Story God’s Glory” is centered mostly on what Thomas describes as the importance of one’s destiny amid hardships or, in a nutshell, the importance of getting the most out of life — thus living on the larger side of God — after having served time in prison.

In the coming weeks, Thomas will kick off her six-month national book tour that will begin with book signings in Shreveport and will include a visit to New York City October 26-27. Buyers can request presale orders, she said.

A MUST BUY — A book that will officially hit the market October 20 during a launch that will take place from 11 a.m.

“The divine message that I am sending to the audience is that sometimes, we have to take a bold step and create our own destiny. I want others to know that there is life after prison. I decided to do what I call my dosage of C’s. I decided to Challenge myself to Change and be Consistent.” — Author Myoshi Thomas

What it all boils down to, according to this devout woman of faith, is devising ways in the natural and spirit to reconnect with the purpose for which God created us.

“I want (my readers) to know that if they won’t give you a chance make them notice you, then you create your own lane and succeed,” Thomas said. “I want them to know that if you believe it, you will achieve it.”

But in order to achieve it, Thomas acknowledged, we must become greatly committed to keeping Christ the Focal Point of our lives, especially after God has provided for us a way of escape.

“The main thing is keeping the Main Thing — Jesus,” Thomas said.  “To just do it and, if it is in alignment with what God has for you, get ready, get ready, because God will bring it to pass. (This book will teach us how to) change our mindset and go after what others say we can’t or won’t have. If I would have listened to what they were saying to and about me, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”

For Thomas, arguably her grandest battle and obstacle when she was released from prison was herself. In other words, she had admittedly found it difficult to come to grips with the fact that she — of all people — had once settled for room and board within the walls of a jail cell.

But God…

“I didn’t know how my story impacted others until I started sharing my story,” said Thomas, speaking as if to imply that confidence and self-esteem are at all-time highs. “For a long time, I used to be ashamed of myself and the fact that I spent time in prison until one of my coaches, a mentor and midwife, Kim Clayton, started inviting me to speak at her events.”

START SPREADING THE NEWS — In the coming weeks, Thomas will kick off her six-month national book tour that will begin with book signings in Shreveport and will include a visit to New York City October 26-27.

They were, as Thomas recalled, life-enhancing, empowerment events that essentially provided her with the ideal platform and scenery to open up about her past checkered life.

But God…

“From there, others started asking me to come share my story, and it was amazing to me how they were saying my purpose is to be inspiring to others and to encourage them to get out of their own way,” Thomas said. (You’ve got to) trust the process and allow God to use you. I never imagined that my life would be life-saving for others…that my story of when all odds were against me, I was the underdog.”

FROM PRISON TO THE PALACE — For Thomas, arguably her grandest battle and obstacle when she was released from prison was herself. In other words, she had admittedly found it difficult coming to grips with the fact that she — of all people — had once settled for room and board within the walls of a jail cell.

To Thomas’ credit, because she was committed to embracing a godly life after life in prison, she’s appreciative of the notion that unlike never before, God is steadfastly using her for His glory.

Because, after all, we serve a God Who finds great pleasure in exalting and elevating underdogs.

“I am that light and hope for ex-felons who think they can’t get a college degree, own successful business, or always look down upon because of past mistakes,” Thomas said. “The reason I wrote this book is to encourage, equip, and empower females, to let them know that our past does not define us, to use the bricks that are thrown at us to build our pathway…to know that no matter how many ‘No’s’ comes our way, a ‘Yes’ is in the making.”

Yes! Who wouldn’t serve a God like that!

Dallas/Fort Worth author Mel Brown McGinnis’ newly-released book drawing a variety of rave reviews

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES MEL BROWN MCGINNIS

Come unto Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28)

DALLAS — For Mel Brown McGinnis, age isn’t merely just a number, particularly as it pertains to her immeasurable gifts as a writer.

Consider, for instance, how at just the tender age of 14, McGinnis was appropriately introduced to her awe-inspiring gift as a writer, an introduction that, much to her delight, was orchestrated by God Almighty.

“I’ve known since I was 14 years old that writing is my calling and my God-given gift,” McGinnis told Making Headline News this week. “I’ve been writing poetry since that time, but was never in a position to publish my work.”

CONSTANT PAGE TUNER — Dallas/Fort Worth-area author Mel Brown McGinnis is a little less than two months removed from having witnessed the much-anticipated release of her book entitled, “Reflections Of Life: A Collection Of Poetry, Prose, And Images.” (Photos By Lynsey Wade)

Fortunately for McGinnis, that all changed some four years ago.

That’s because in 2014, this Louisiana native began working diligently on her novel.

Never mind that she consequently endured the dreaded writer’s block or, as she recalls, she “couldn’t quite move the story and the characters forward.”

Fast forward to some three years later, September 2017 to be exact.

“I was having dinner with an author friend of mine and we were discussing the timeline for finishing my book,” McGinnis explained. “I mentioned to her that I didn’t know if I was quite ready to move forward with the novel, but that I had all of these poems that I had written a few years back that really helped me to get through some dark days.”

LOUISIANA PURCHASE — A spiritually-enhancing and kingdom-advancing written work that is comprised of 134 pages, McGinnis’ “Reflections Of Life: A Collection Of Poetry, Prose, And Images” is the debut literary work of this remarkably brilliant author and poet.

It was, by all accounts, because of those darks — those spiritually challenging and wilderness experiences — that have greatly helped propel McGinnis to authorship greatness.

That’s because McGinnis is a little less than two months removed from having witnessed the much-anticipated release of her book entitled, “Reflections Of Life: A Collection Of Poetry, Prose, And Images.”

A spiritually-enhancing and kingdom-advancing written work that is comprised of 134 pages, McGinnis’ “Reflections Of Life: A Collection Of Poetry, Prose, And Images” is the debut literary work of this remarkably brilliant author and poet from the small town of Monroe, Louisiana.

“This compilation takes you on a journey of love, loss and triumph,” said a spokesperson for McGinnis’ new book in a thorough breakdown at Amazon.com. Reflections is a collection of inspirational poetry, prose, and pictures from all over the world taken by the author during her travels, including selections from the author’s photo collection, ‘Natural Elements.’ The poetry, prose, and images work together to tell stories of empowering women, finding love after heartbreak, advocating against domestic violence, navigating the political landscape, creating pathways to success from humble beginnings, reveling in a love of sports, and paying tribute to a musical legend.”

What’s even more astounding for McGinnis is that since the recent release of her book, she’s managed to garner an array of rave reviews, many of which have blanketed her social media timelines.

A licensed attorney and certified sports agent, McGinnis holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature with a minor in Mass Communications and Journalism from Louisiana State University.

STANDING OVATION — What’s even more astounding for McGinnis is that since the recent release of her book, she’s managed to garner an array of rave reviews, many of which have blanketed her social media timelines.

“The message that God is using me to deliver is that no matter how dark the days may be, never give up on yourself and never give up on your dreams,” McGinnis said. “I use this book to discuss themes of women’s empowerment and advocating against domestic violence.”

McGinnis said a percentage of sales from her book are donated to Women Called Moses, a local nonprofit organization that provides resources and support for victims of domestic violence.

Credit McGinnis’ keen ability to press and navigate through arguably the toughest of times, coupled with her devout faith in God, as amongst the grandest reasons her Creator essentially handpicked her for such a time as now to advance His kingdom, most notably through her endeavor as an author.

“After a difficult divorce, I was in a very dark place mentally,” McGinnis explained. “I didn’t know how to move forward in my life and I struggled just to get through each day. I would pray to God and say, ‘Ok God, so let’s make a deal. If You will just give me the strength to get through the day and get back to my car, then I can just cry when I get in the car on my way home. But please don’t let me have a breakdown at work.’

SEE THE TRAILER FOR MORE OF MEL’S BOOK: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Dx-m_kim_Q

“I cried every day literally for six months straight, and I just didn’t think I was going to get through it,” McGinnis continued. “But I did. One day, I went home and I said, today will be the last day I cry about this. And it was. Prayer was my source of strength. I just want people to know that no matter how hard things get, have faith in God and His plan for your life, and you can get through anything.”

Fortunately for McGinnis, she has been afforded the golden opportunity to make public appearances to promote her newly-assembled book which, in essence, is a unique ministry, of sorts, in its own right.

VIRTUOUS WOMAN — McGinnis is having an immediate and massive impact as an author, this having recently made her authorship debut.

Following what was a busy past few weeks, during which her book has become a constant fixture in the community and on the literary circuit, McGinnis will continue her book tour with a return to her native establishment of Monroe to host what is known as “Conversations With Mel.” This event will involve a Q & A segment and book signing and will take place at the Ouachita Parish Library on October 12.

McGinnis is scheduled to host a similar event on October 13 at the Louisiana Cotton Museum in nearby Lake Providence, where she was raised during the early years of her life.

Also, she will stop in Fort Worth, where she will attend the Women In Local Government Summit that is known as Women in Leadership: A Seat at the Table on October 25, during which she will be a guest speaker and a panelist, but isn’t expected to promote her book.

BUT GOD — Credit McGinnis’ keen ability to press and navigate through arguably the toughest of times, coupled with her devout faith in God, as amongst the reasons her Creator essentially handpicked her for such a time as now to advance His kingdom.

However, she will be promoting “Poetry & Prose” on October 28, which will be highlighted by live readings and a book signing at Victory Drinklab in New Orleans.

In wrapping up the tour, McGinnis will be on hand for “Conversations From The White Sofa” that is powered by the Book Club Brunch, an event that will take place in February 3, 2019 in Plano, Texas.

Talk about having an immediate and massive impact as an author, this having recently made her authorship debut.

“I am first a child of God, and I truly believe I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me,” McGinnis said. “I would hope to inspire others to believe the same.”

GOD’S LEADING LADY — Fortunately for McGinnis, a proud alumnus of Louisiana State University, she has been afforded the golden opportunity to make public appearances to promote her newly-assembled book which, in essence, is a unique ministry, of sorts, in its own right.

That she’s certainly doing with God, her Helper, leading the way.
