I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NIV)

Gloria V. Key steadfastly planted the seed, meaning she diligently exercised her faith.

Much to her delight, God provided the increase, meaning He strategically catapulted her to her destiny.
“I choose to write the book initially to inspire and motivate others to further their education, and to let others know that it’s never too late to go back to school or accomplish your dreams,” Key told Making Headline News during a weekend interview . “As time went on, I realized my message was much bigger than that.”
Indeed it was.
So much so that Key, a Spring Valley, New York-area author, deemed it essential to share of her life-altering testimonies in a rather spirited, remarkably compelling book that figures to impact generations for years to come.

A book that is comprised of 113 pages in length, Key’s “A Key That Turned: Unlocking the Master Plan” is widely regarded as a must read, in large part because it recalls this author’s feel good story, of sorts.

For instance, Key did not know who she was or where she came from during which she endured a rather tumultuous season in her life, one that was hampered and saddled by a rash of family struggles, heartbreak, and economic setbacks, many of which stemmed all the way from her youth to adulthood, according to a detailed synopsis of her book at Amazon.com.

SEEDS OF GREATNESS — Key planted the seed, meaning she diligently exercised her faith. Much to her delight, God provided the increase, meaning He strategically catapulted her to her destiny.

“Her faith in God and family lifted her from the abyss to new heights,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Key’s book. As an adult, she earned multiple college degrees and certifications despite being the sole caretaker of her children and multiple nieces and nephews.

“She is the embodiment of determination and perseverance. From homelessness to hopefulness, poverty to prosperity, Gloria Key’s emotional roller coaster ride proves that you can achieve anything you desire and help others do the same.”

Key did not know who she was or where she came from during which she endured a rather tumultuous season in her life, one that was hampered and saddled by a rash of family struggles, heartbreak, and economic setbacks, many of which stemmed all the way from her youth to adulthood, according to a detailed synopsis of her book at Amazon.com.

To her credit, there did, by all accounts, emerge a much-anticipated breakthrough amid Key’s sometimes stormy and rocky journey, one that was ceremoniously capped by her acquiring a degree from the prestigious Fordham University, a historic, private New York City-based institution that was founded in 1841.

A book that is co-authored by Marc Hoberman, Key emphasized, among other things, that her book serves as a notable reminder that there is true meaning to one’s life, regardless of how discomforting life becomes.

“My divine message is to let others know that despite what you have gone through, God hasn’t forgotten you,” Key said. “(This book is a reminder) to have faith and trust God with all things.”

Since the release of “A Key That Turned: Unlocking The Master Plan,” the feedback has been overwhelmingly favorable, Key said.

“I have received overwhelmingly positive responses from my book,” said Key, who began composing her book sometime last year. “People have literally called me in tears, stating that they can relate to the challenges I’ve gone through in my life.”

DESTINY STEPS

Some, in fact, were practically astounded by this writer’s wealth of transparency in her written work.

“People around me were shocked at the grim details of my life stating, ‘Oh my God…through all that, you’ve always been a positive person with a smile and words of encouragement for others,’” Key recalled. “I am so pleased that I’ve actually motivated others to go back to school including my own son. Others have gotten the courage to seek that promotion at work or learned coping strategies.”

Since the release of “A Key That Turned: Unlocking The Master Plan,” the feedback has been overwhelmingly favorable, Key said.

Because of the ongoing positive feedback and requests for her newly-assembled book, Key has become inspired to write a sequel.

Just recently, she appeared on a podcast entitled, “The Susan Brender Show” and has spoken publicly about her book at her church and other community-related events.

Because of the ongoing positive feedback and requests for her newly-assembled book, Key has become inspired to write a sequel.

“I believe that God has brought me full circle,” Key said. “I’ve had such an incredibly challenging life afflicted with so many obstacles, and just around age 50 when I thought I was done or just comfortable, God unleashed His Master Plan.”

Most importantly, He provided the increase, meaning He strategically catapulted her to her destiny.

Detroit empowerment extraordinaire Jacqueline Kaba–Harrison helping women of color to ‘realize their potential’

I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:14 NIV)

PURPOSED FOR POTENTIAL

FULL OF POTENTIAL — A native of the Motor City, Jacqueline Kaba–Harrison is the founder and chief executive officer of Realizing Your Potential LLC, her Michigan-based empowerment company that’s centered largely on helping African-American women thrive and flourish as life coaches and consultants, most notably by way of eliminating what she describes as negative self-talk and self-sabotaging behaviors that customarily prevent them from taking their business to the next level and beyond.

Enough of all of that negative chitter chatter, sistas.

Because longtime Detroit-based businesswoman Jacqueline Kaba–Harrison’s entrepreneurship expertise is such that she can aid other women mightily, particularly when it comes to grasping a thoroughly concept of why they are fearfully and wonderfully made.

A progressive venture that is accompanied by Wayne Dyer’s historic catchphrase, “Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life,” Kaba–Harrison’s Realizing Your Potential LLC has become a fixture throughout the Atlanta metropolitan area and, given the immeasurable strides it has made since its inception in April 2016, it’s safe to assume this company’s best and brightest days are well ahead of it.

Credit Kaba–Harrison’s positive, spirited disposition on life as arguably the grandest reason why.

“I’ve always known that I was meant to be my own boss,” Kaba–Harrison, 47, told Making Headline News this week. “I’ve never been one for conformity, but rather a trend setter. After increasing my self-esteem and self-confidence, I know I am limitless and I can achieve whatever I aspire to with hard work and determination.”

As for what she admittedly loves the most about her business venture, what it all boils down to, Kaba–Harrison emphasized, is helping educate women of color to reconnect with their overall uniqueness, to rediscover and embrace the divine purpose for which they were created.

“I love meeting new people and finding out what makes them unique. I enjoy educating women and serving as their catalyst to greatness. Also, (it allows for) the limitless potential of earnings and freedom in my schedule.” —Jacqueline Kaba–Harrison

An endeavor that services African-American woman ranging in ages 35 to 55, Realizing Your Potential LLC has grasped the attention of a slew of businesswomen in greater Atlanta and, much sooner than later, Kaba–Harrison is confident her venture will begin to attract more of a national presence.

SAVE THE DATES

Having earned an undergraduate degree from Detroit’s Wayne State University, Kaba–Harrison consequently acquired a Master’s Degree from the historic Clark Atlanta University.

Besides overseeing the day-to-day operations of Realizing Your Potential LLC, Kaba–Harrison is the proud host of “A Queen’s Round Table Show” that airs on the second and fourth Sunday of every month via Facebook.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE — Kaba–Harrison’s entrepreneurship expertise is such that she can aid other women mightily, particularly when it comes to grasping a thoroughly concept of why they are fearfully and wonderfully made.

In addition, she hosts what is known as “A Queen’s Round Table Quarterly Symposium, with her third quarter airing scheduled to take place on September 15.

Interestingly, Kaba–Harrison is a rising author, who’s a part of a forthcoming collaborative book entitled, “I Am A Black Woman: Next Level,” which is scheduled to launch sometime in 2020.

Widely regarded as a success and confidence coach for African-American women, Realizing Your Potential LLC’s strategic focus is to inspire and uplift African-American women everywhere or, as this face of this notable endeavor said, “to know better and do better for themselves, their families, and their communities.”

Detroit business couple Roderick and Mablene Gillison advancing the kingdom as resourceful recovery coaches

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)

STANDING IN AGREEMENT

GOD-ORDERED STEPS — Together, the inseparable union between Roderick and Mablene Gillison is so superabundant and close-knit that this godly couple deemed it essential to collectively established a business venture that would not only benefit them mightily, but, most importantly, it would help enrich and advance the kingdom.

Roderick loves his wife to the moon and back.

Mablene undoubtedly shares the same sentiments.

Together, the inseparable union between Roderick and Mablene Gillison is so superabundant and close-knit that this godly couple deemed it essential to collectively established a business venture that would not only benefit them mightily, but, most importantly, it would help enrich and advance the kingdom.
A native of Detroit, Roderick Gillison is a longtime real estate broker whom, along with his wife of 27 years, is state licensed recovery coach, whereby they are routinely afforded the golden opportunity to offer strategic support and assistance, particularly through helping people make the necessary recoveries that will ultimately prove beneficial to them.
Aside from functioning as a dedicated business couple to complement their longstanding union, Gillison is the Founder of the Recovery Today Television Network, an awe-inspiring milestone that is a far cry from his season in the wilderness, during which he was once saddled by drug and alcohol additions.

“A recovery coach is a person who has lived experiences and can identify with the peers he or she is serving,” Roderick Gillison told Making Headline News this week.

A venture that is powered by Roderick’s wealth of experience as a licensed minister of the gospel, the Gillisons’ recovery coaching endeavor is centered largely on aiding others to press and navigate toward a rewarding, successful future, not to recall and dwell on their turbulent, discomforting past, the couple acknowledged.

“Recovery means to gain back what was lost,” Roderick Gillison said. We offer support, assistance in helping persons to make a recovery that will work for them.”

AND THE BIBLE SAYS…

Interestingly and to their distinctly unique credit, the Gillisons’ Christian-based venture has become a fixture for attracting and accommodating today’s youth — or these millennial.

“We are trying to show the young generation it’s not what you do, it’s why you do what you do,” said Roderick Gillison, who accepted his calling to engaging in ministerial work in 1995.

Beloved members of Detroit’s historic After Christ Christian Center — under the leadership of Apostle Rudolph and Kingdom Recovery Ministries founder, Pastor Lois Ellis — Roderick Gillison credit these notable clergymen for greatly steering him on the right path in ministry, as well as in the business sector.

SOLID SUPPORTING CAST — Beloved members of Detroit’s historic After Christ Christian Center — under the leadership of Apostle Rudolph and Kingdom Recovery Ministries founder, Pastor Lois Ellis — Roderick Gillison credit these notable clergymen for greatly steering him on the right path in ministry, as well as in the business sector.

“These are my pastors, whom I love dearly,” Roderick Gillison said. “They accepted me and my family in 1995 at the lowest times in my life when I was struggling and hurt, and with their love and prayers, they raised us up to be who we are today — overcomers in Christ.”

Aside from functioning as a dedicated business couple to complement their longstanding union, Gillison is the Founder of the Recovery Today Television Network, an awe-inspiring milestone that is a far cry from his season in the dreaded wilderness, during which he was once saddled by drug and alcohol addictions.

RODERICK’S COVERING

POWERFUL WORDS —– “Having my husband for 27 years as a business partner gives me the ability to grow, not only as a friend, partner, and lover,” Mablene Gillison said. “We encourage each other in the good and bad times. Things I can’t see and hear, I have the man I trust to help me navigate through life’s situations. In this partnership, it teaches us to pray, love, forgive, and celebrate life daily.”

But God…Whom this devout man of faith had ultimately discovered would emerge as the Author and Finisher of his faith.

Talk about a dramatic comeback from after having endured a major and potentially life-threatening setback.

“I’m working in the field that I once fell victim to,” said Roderick Gillison, recalling his life-changing testimony for probably the umpteenth time, yet for all the right reasons.

Aside for the valiant support of his spiritually coverings, he has his wife to thank more than anything.

“My wife’s impact as a business partner is very special,” Roderick Gillison said. ‘Not only is she a wife, but first and foremost, she’s my friend. (The fact) we can achieve and love each other at the same time is mind blowing to me. Our marriage of 27 years is based upon (the Biblical passage) Amos 3:3, which reads: How can two walk together except they be agreed? She knows everything about me…how I think, how I’m feeling…man, she is definitely a gift from God. None of this would be possible without her.”

WE ALL IN — A venture that is powered by his wealth of experience as a licensed minister of the gospel, the Gillisons’ recovery coaching endeavor is centered largely on aiding others to press and navigate toward a rewarding, successful future, not to recall and dwell on their turbulent, discomforting past, the couple acknowledged.

Of course, Mablene Gillison likewise has a few favorable pleasantries to pass along while assessing her husband’s immeasurable impact as a business partner.

“Having my husband for 27 years as a business partner gives me the ability to grow, not only as a friend, partner, and lover,” Mablene Gillison said. “We encourage each other in the good and bad times. Things I can’t see and hear, I have the man I trust to help me navigate through life’s situations. In this partnership, it teaches us to pray, love, forgive, and celebrate life daily.”

With God, their Helper, steering the way.

Detroit author Taynia A. Coleman’s featured book is a microcosm of her God-mandated purpose

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS MOTHER’S DAY 2019 SPECIAL REPORT

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor. (Ecclesiastes 4:9 NIV)

GOD’S LEADING LADY

ADVANCING THE KINGDOM — Taynia A. Coleman’s “An Unnecessary Breakdown Within Your Relationship: Communication Is Key” is an awe-inspiring, informative written document in which she strives diligently to be rather forthright and direct with her sizable reading audience.

To her credit and for the betterment of relationship enhancing, Taynia A. Coleman wrote a book in which arguably her chief focus was to — for a lack of better words — keep it 100.

In a nutshell, Coleman’s “An Unnecessary Breakdown Within Your Relationship: Communication Is Key” is an awe-inspiring, informative written document in which she strives diligently to be rather forthright and direct with her sizable reading audience.
“God first gave me the vision to start a family and relationship blog called, ‘Destined With A Purpose,’” Coleman told Making Headline News this week. “Due to the fact I was married for 10 years and only three of the years were good years, I needed an outlet, which later became a prayer relationship and communication book.”

BUY TAYNIA COLEMAN’S BOOK: https://www.facebook.com/destinedwithapurpose/

A book that is comprised of 54 pages, Coleman began assembling “An Unnecessary Breakdown Within Your Relationship: Communication Is Key” sometime in late 2016 and needed a little less than two years to complete a project she constructed while enduring arguably a downtrodden, discomforting season of her life.

A native of Detroit, Coleman’s featured book is accompanied by “An Unnecessary Breakdown Within Your Relationship: The Journal.”

“This journal was created with the prayers from the book in order to get your prayer life going for your relationship,” a spokesperson for Coleman’s “An Unnecessary Breakdown Within Your Relationship: Communication Is Key” said in a detailed synopsis of her book at Barnes & Noble online. “It includes space for you to write out your own prayers and also a journaling room. When faced with problems with your significant other, you start wondering how to get things back on the right track and it is never easy. The powerful prayers and the prayers of your own that is in this journal are designed to help get your relationship back on the right path.”

As Coleman explained, she wrote her relationship-enhancing book during a time in which “I felt like I was by myself at every angle,” she recalled.

“There were no how to, or what to do when this happen in your relationship type of books,” said Coleman, whose authorship debut arose amid a divorce. “I mean, there were books, but none of them resonated with my spirit. I needed something raw and real. If I couldn’t find the help I needed, I wanted to be the help someone else may need.”

BUT GOD — As Coleman explained, she wrote her relationship-enhancing book during a time in which “I felt like I was by myself at every angle,” she recalled.

To her credit and for the betterment of building up her spirit man and drawing closer to Almighty God, Coleman’s book has become an influential GPS system, of sorts, particularly as it relates to helping others steer their way from a sense of defeat to a season that’s accompanied a God-manifested victory.

“The purpose of this book is to help individuals and couples heal in order to communicate and love effectively,” Coleman, a notable Relationship Coach, explained. “It is for all levels of relationships, as well to help anyone that is still broken from a relationship. The prayers at the end of each chapter are powerful.

“These books are to help heal the broken hearted through prayers, it is to let them know that they too can go from broken to complete if they would trust God in and through the process,” Coleman continued. “It is to let them know that in those very dark days that there is better on the other side, but they have to have faith and believe God.”

Much like this Motor City-based writer and accomplished businesswoman had to, particularly during a time her faith had been tried and tested unlike never before.

But God…

PEACE AND BLESSINGS — All things considered, because Coleman stuck with God by staying in faith, the purpose for which she has been created is still being fulfilled, all the while she possesses the peace that surpasses understanding in the process.

“I believe my writings will help heal people emotionally and physically from heart break and depression,” Coleman said without hesitation. “I want them to know even though they may feel alone, they don’t have to go through the process alone.”

After all, two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor, according to scripture.

“God created me to help heal the brokenhearted,” said Coleman, adding that the feedback since the release of “An Unnecessary Breakdown Within Your Relationship: Communication Is Key” has been overwhelmingly favorable. “He took me through a process that only the strong could survive.”

And to think, the devil thought he had her.

But God…

“I almost lost my mind, dealing with the damaged and misfit marriage that I lost my way,” Coleman said. “I lost Taynia.”

All things considered, because Coleman stuck with God by staying in faith, the purpose for which she has been created is still being fulfilled, all the while she possesses the peace that surpasses understanding in the process.

KEEPING IT 100 — “I believe my writings will help heal people emotionally and physically from heart break and depression,” Coleman said without hesitation. “I want them to know even though they may feel alone, they don’t have to go through the process alone.”

“I birthed ‘Destined With A Purpose’ out of pain, because at the time, I felt I had no purpose, but God told me otherwise, so I listened,” Coleman said, “With God’s healing power, He lifted me up and pieced together my broken heart, and now my mission is to help others mend their hearts. I want to show them how to love themselves before trying to love somebody else.”

Talk about a Necessary Breakdown of a book that has emerged a constant must read.

For all the right reasons.

Detroit author Shontel Jackson’s new book offers a slew of prayers — on purpose

Then Jesus told His disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. (Luke 18:1 NIV)

‘CALL HIM UP’

DESTINY STEPS — A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Shontel Jackson is the mastermind behind the awe-inspiring book entitled, “Purposed Prayers: Praying On Purpose With A Purpose,” a spiritually-renewal and life-enhancing project that is scheduled to be released in mid-June, the beloved prophetess announced to her social media audience.

Shontel Jackson can be appropriately described as a prayer warrior.

On purpose.

Perhaps she could explain it better.

“I hold a weekly Facebook Live (session during which) that I pray the prayers in the book on the live,” Jackson, a longtime Detroit-area minister, told Making Headline News this week. “I have seen so many people push in through prayer. People have been testifying that they have received unexpected finances showing up in their bank accounts, new cars, family restoration, and also a lady who attempted suicide and survived.”

All things considered, it is due in large part to Jackson’s quest to advance the kingdom mightily through fervent prayers that has greatly fueled her desire to compose a book that centers largely on the importance as to why God commands us to establish an open line of communication with Him.

KINGDOM BLESSINGS — Now with “Purposed Prayers: Praying On Purpose With A Purpose” set to make its ceremoniously release, Jackson has announced that other written works are on the horizon.

A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Jackson is the mastermind behind the awe-inspiring book entitled, “Purposed Prayers: Praying On Purpose With A Purpose,” a spiritually-renewal and life-enhancing project that is scheduled to be released in mid-June, the beloved prophetess announced to her social media audience.

A book she needed somewhere in the neighborhood of four years to assembled — she began writing it in the summer of 2015 and put the wraps on it approximately two months ago — Jackson elected to write her first book during what she described as “a very dark time” in her life, a sequence that was mired by a dreaded failed relationship, coupled with a the sudden demise of a loved one.

Fortunately for Jackson, whose regular Facebook live prayer footages have become a fixture amongst her gallery of social media followers, prayer essentially is what has emerged as the pivotal factor that has increased her faith considerably, thus greatly enabled her to press and navigate her way through arguably the darkest season of her life.

“I went through a divorce and my grandmother, who raised me, passed away,” said Jackson, explaining the events surrounding her God-mandated assignment to write her book. “My world was turned upside down. At this time, I was thrust into a lifestyle of prayer.”

On purpose.

“This book teaches us to pray with strategy and purpose,” said Jackson, when asked what is the divine message she’s sending to her reading audience through her book. “It’s also a reminder to pray the word and (to know) that there is a solution to the problem in the Word of God. Each prayer targets life’s circumstances that we deal with daily, but as we know prayer changes things.”

By and large and much to her delight, Jackson doesn’t shy away from the notion that her soon-to-be-released book aligns with the purpose — and calling — for which God has created her.

“Prayer is my purpose and I believe this book — even though it was birthed out of a very painful time in my life — wasn’t about me,” said Jackson, who will promote her book during the upcoming Cruising The Write Way Authors Cruise from November 22 to 25. “It is about the ones that come after me, who will one day need this book to teach them on how to pray and push through no matter what.”

ON GOD’S BATTLEFIELD — A book she needed somewhere in the neighborhood of four years to assembled — she began writing it in the summer of 2015 and put the wraps on it approximately two months ago — Jackson elected to write her first book during what she described as “a very dark time” in her life, a sequence that was mired by a dreaded failed relationship, coupled with a the sudden demise of a loved one.

Just like that lady, whom Jackson recalls had attempted suicide only to survive.

Talk about a massive move of God — on purpose.

“This same lady that God didn’t allow the enemy to take out prematurely had turned around and received an unexpected financial miracle,” Jackson explained. “So many others and to many to name (she said with a smile. I know there’s so much more to come.”

Now with “Purposed Prayers: Praying On Purpose With A Purpose” set to make its ceremoniously release, Jackson has announced that other written works are on the horizon.

SEASON OF THE REBIRTH

By and large and much to her delight, Jackson doesn’t shy away from the notion that her soon-to-be-released book aligns with the purpose — and calling — for which God has created her.

“I plan to write at least two more books within the next year,” said Jackson, alluding to project — “You Have Such A Pretty Face: Overcoming The Spirit of Rejection” and “Ishamael Was Blessed Too” —

— that will depict her life, during which she dealt with sexual and emotional abuse and rejection, as well as blended families, respectively.

“I am enjoying being an author.”

On purpose.

Detroit author Lakina Fulks connects with her God-given purpose through her newly-produced book

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 NIV)

PURPOSED FOR PAIN

HERE’S WHY — A native of Detroit, Lakina Fulks is the author of the book entitled, “WHY: A Young Girl’s Search For The Truth,” a 120-page project that officially made its presence on the market on February 3, 2019.

Amongst the things to which Lakina Fulks can greatly attest is that an array of pain and discomfort typically emerge amid a divorce.

Nevertheless, amongst the notable factors to which she can also substantiate is that if you stay in faith in the wake of a marital dissolution, God can ultimately provide you with a silver-lining, of sorts, as His strategic way of bringing about a sense of spiritual relief.

“It was one day in prayer as I was crying so hard going through a bad divorce that God spoke to me a said write the book now, and in that moment, He gave me the title of the book,” Fulks told Making Headline News this week.

The book to which Fulks is alluding is her newly-assembled written document entitled, “WHY: A Young Girl’s Search For The Truth,” a 120-page project that officially made its presence on the market on February 3, 2019.

“When He said, ‘Why,’ I was like, ‘why?’” said Fulks, explaining her vision for composing her recently-released book. “He said in every moment of my life, I always asked why and He will reveal why, and now I know and understand why and I am so grateful.”

A Detroit-area accomplished writer, Fulks said her divine purpose for having produced “WHY: A Young Girl’s Search For The Truth” arose as God’s strategic way to connect her with the purpose for which she was created.

GOD-ORDERED STEPS

According to detailed synopsis of “WHY: A Young Girl’s Search For The Truth” at https://www.amazon.com/WHY-young-girls-search-truth/dp/057821055X, Fulks writes that empowerment essentially is within what she describes as a “young girl’s call for help.”

Moreover, she emphasized, “I believe that God wanted me to write this as a part of my purpose in life. Yes it was hard having to go through it, but I believe that God turns our mess in to messages. And writing this book is just the beginning of what God wants me to do with my story.”

SHE’S JUST WARMING UP — A book that has generated an immeasurable amount of success since its release, Fulks said other projects are surely on the horizon in the foreseeable future.

Having commenced to writing her first book sometime in 2015, Fulks needed somewhere in the neighborhood of four years to culminate a project she said has given way to an array of favorable feedback, coupled with a few scheduled speaking engagements in the coming months.

Never mind if some will, in fact, find it overwhelmingly difficult to come to grips with the occasionally unfavorable situations and circumstances that often arise in this thing called life.

A Detroit-area accomplished writer, Fulks said her divine purpose for having produced “WHY: A Young Girl’s Search For The Truth” arose as God’s strategic way to connect her with the purpose for which she was created.

“Even though you don’t understand the reason for your trials and tribulations, there is another side to your pain if you,” said Fulks, when asked what is divine message she’s sending to her audience through her new book. “Your story is meant to help someone coming behind you with a familiar pain. And you have to show them that they too can come out and be healed.

“Most people acknowledge how candid and raw the content is,” Fulks continued. “But the truth is, it’s my story told and some parts (are told) verbatim. And it’s not always easy to read. But once they settle in for the story, most readers say how they are able to find parts of themselves expressed through various characters, and it is freeing knowing that they aren’t alone in some of the things they suffered.”

ADVANCING THE KINGDOM — Having commenced to writing her first book sometime in 2015, Fulks needed somewhere in the neighborhood of four years to culminate a project she said has given way to an array of favorable feedback, coupled with a few scheduled speaking engagements in the coming months.

A book that has generated an immeasurable amount of success since its release, Fulks said other projects are surely on the horizon in the foreseeable future.

“There are definitely other books that I believe that God will birth out of me, but there is still a growth and healing taking place in me since the release of this book,” Fulks said. “I have started creating a journal to go along with the book that will be available this summer. The idea came when my book was asked to be in a book club and they would like a journal, so now I am doing one.”

Much to her delight, coupled with the divine calling on her life, amongst the things of which Fulks is especially grateful is that she birthed her book out of an act of obedience to God.

IN HER OWN WORDS — “I believe that God wanted me to write this as a part of my purpose in life. Yes it was hard having to go through it, but I believe that God turns our mess in to messages. And writing this book is just the beginning of what God wants me to do with my story,” Fulks said.

The same God Who can ultimately provide you with a silver-lining, of sorts, as His strategic way of bringing about a sense of spiritual relief.

“All of us are born with a cross that we must bear just like Christ,” Fulks said. “And I suffered a lot as a child and my early adult years. But the awesome thing about God is that all things work together for our good. And this book is a part of the big picture of what I was purposed for. Had I believed that pain was the only part of my life experience, this book would have never come to past. But God….”

She’s got that right.

But God…

Young Dayton, Ohio businesswoman Tara Brown walking fervently in her purpose as an entrepreneur

I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all. (Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV)

BROWN HOLDIN’ IT DOWN

DESTINY STEPS — Now that she has overcome an array of odds, now that she is walking fervently in her divine purpose, there’s no turning back for 29-year-old Ohio entrepreneur Tara Brown, who is the owner and CEO of Metiamay Visions.

Tara Brown fielded the question as if she expected it.

“I failed lots of times before getting here,” Brown, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, when asked how her competitive drive fueled her desire to start a business. “I started several other businesses before getting to this point of where I have success. My will to never give up, faith in God, and the determination to never work for anyone again brought me here.”

Now that she’s arrived, now that she has overcome an array of odds, now that she is walking fervently in her divine purpose, there’s no turning back for this 29-year-old entrepreneur, who is the owner and CEO of Metiamay Visions.

MORE ON TARA BROWN’S BUSINESS: https://metiamayvisions.com/

A business that officially went into operations earlier this year, Brown’s Dayton, Ohio-based Metiamay Visions has become a globally-acclaimed fixture as the home of professional refined designs and images.

You name it, her company does it, creating virtually everything from:

  • Business Cards

  • Banners (vinyl or car door, magnets or mouse pads

  • E-Flyers (promo dds)

  • Custom Invitations

  • Media Imaging and Portrait Framing

  • Media Flyers

  • Website Building and Branding

  • Real Image Logos

  • Commercial Vinyl Banners

  • Book Cover Designs

  • Brochures

  • Business Starter Pro (Small Business Branding/Development)

  • Trademark and LLC Registration and,

  • Design You (“Anything not listed above that you want to customize such as spiral bound notebooks or custom made cards and more,” Brown said).

“I like my business, because I get to do everything I’ve always wanted to do in my business,” Brown said. “I apply my natural skill for business and communicating with the world. I am free to be as creative as I want. There are no limits and I get to travel, seeing the world, bringing my services to those who have never heard about me, or maybe they are looking for a better way to get services and not pay those ridiculous overrated prices that my competitors offer.”

A native of Detroit, amongst the things about which Brown is extremely grateful is that she steadfastly stepped out on faith in delving off into entrepreneurship.

Prior to starting Metiamay Visions, Brown had assumed the role of a freelance graphic designer for approximately three years.

“I decided that enough was enough and I put all my life skills and different job experiences into one space and Metiamay Visions was born,” Brown said.

And the rest, as they say, was history.

FOLLOWING GOD’S PLAN

Today, Brown’s rising venture accommodates small business owners, entrepreneurs, corporate companies, and services individuals and groups, ranging from the ages of their mid-20’s through their late 60’s.

And, to her credit, her brilliant expertise has given way to her having been afforded the golden opportunity to put her immeasurable skills on display in a host of establishments, including Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, and Alabama, among other places.

Because she’s fully persuaded she’s fulfilling the purpose for which God created her, Brown is confident the sky’s undoubtedly the limit for her newly-erected business.

“I enjoy this work, because it’s something that I love doing and I get to help everyday people grow their dream as well through the work they request from my business,” Brown said. “I’ve launched about five successful online and ecommerce businesses through my work. I’m changing the world one person at a time by starting and changing one new business at a time with my designs and images.”

Behind the unyielding support of her husband, David Brown — whom Brown said told her, “My husband says I should have done this a long time ago and he’s right” — this young Ohio businesswoman said the pivotal factor for starting her business came from a gallery of her peers.

“(I kept) hearing others just like me, who were lost and confused and not knowing where to start to get their business or professional image for their business at,” Brown explained. So I have to say from within.”

Now that Metiamay Visions is up and running, Brown appears destined to go full throttle with her starting lineup of endeavors, which include her being an accomplished author, who’s preparing to release her second book later this year.

JUST WARMING UP — Now that Metiamay Visions is up and running, Brown appears destined to g full throttle with her starting lineup of endeavors, which include her being an accomplished author, who’s preparing to release her second book later this year.

In addition, she’s scheduled to attend business expos in the foreseeable future in Chicago, Phoenix, and Atlanta, and she recently spoke at Ohio Media School, during which she enlightened students on the field of media and introduced them her services.

“I welcomed my first group of interns that are now a part of my team,” Brown said of her recent visit to that institution.

For what it’s worth, Brown is blessed of the notion that she stayed true to herself, stayed the course, trusted the process and, most of all, followed her dreams.

“I’m glad I’m finally exposed, because now people know it’s official. I’m a successful businesswoman now,” Brown said.

Fielding the question as if she expected it.

Detroit businesswoman Rashelle Rey’s annual hair and fashion show set for July 14

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. (Philippians 2:3)

REY OF SUNSHINE

WOMAN OF EXCELLENCE — A native Birmingham, Alabama who has spent virtually all of her life in the City of David, Rashelle Rey will be hosting her annual Illusion On The Runway Hair And Fashion on Sunday, July 14 in nearby Southfield, Michigan, at the St John’s Banquet & Conference, located at 22001 Northwestern Highway.

As it pertains to walking in her divine purpose, Rashelle Rey would be the first to admit that she’s all about esteeming others highly than herself.

That is why Rey, an accomplished Detroit-area businesswoman, has become thoroughly committed to giving back to her community.

And not just giving back, but giving back in a big way.

A native Birmingham, Alabama who has spent virtually all of her life in the City of David, Rey will be hosting her annual Illusion On The Runway Hair And Fashion on Sunday, July 14 in nearby Southfield, Michigan, at the St John’s Banquet & Conference, located at 22001 Northwestern Highway.

The event that will take place from 3-6 p.m. EST is annual, notable tribute to women and children, many of whom suffer from various forms and hair loss, Rey told Making Headline News this week.

“The purpose of this event is to be a blessing to a family or organization that’s in need and is suffering from cancer.” — Detroit Businesswoman/Author Rashelle Rey on her annual Illusion On The Runway Hair And Fashion

A longtime licensed cosmetologist, Rey and her team are placing special emphasis on individuals who have been stricken by alopecia.

According to a report at https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/guide/alopecia-areata#1, alopecia is an autoimmune disorder that customarily stems from excessive hair on one’s pillow, brush, or shower drain.

In addition, alopecia occurs when someone notices what medical experts describe as “odd little bald spots” in the mirror or when hair follicles are attacked, a trend that typically causes the hair to come out, often in clumps the size and shape of a quarter. The amount of hair loss, in fact, is different in everyone, medical experts say, considering some people lose it only in a few spots, while others lose a lot.

MORE ON RASHELLE REY: www.rashellerey.com

As for Rey’s hair and fashion show, amongst her chief objectives is to bring about awareness to alopecia, as well as various forms of cancer that often result in hair loss.

This event will be hosted by comedian Crystal P. and will include a gallery of Detroit’s finest designers, most notably Sparkle Thomas, Teddi Nairobi, Katrina Hurst, Unite Us All, Mason Tone, Unjunk Fashion Tropicana from Alta Mota Salon, as well as Wrapped In Love and Pink Diamond Beauty Mall.

Also, there will be a special performance by PDOT, a special guest appearance by Sparkle Amor, as well as other scheduled performances, according to organizers for this event.

Early bird tickets are currently on sale for $20 and ends May 25, and sponsorship and vendor opportunities will be available for this event, Rey said.

Early bird tickets can be purchased either through Cash App at: $rashellereyrpn or via PayPal at: remnantandpraisenetwork@gmail.com.

The feedback since she organized her annual hair and fashion show has been overwhelmingly favorable, Rey said.

“Since I have been promoting the event, my fellow peers say it is a great thing to be a part of,” Rey said. “It’s a hair and fashion show.”

Detroit co-author breaks her silence in a book amid abuse, child molestation

I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:14 NIV)

DALLAS — For Shanetta Turner, she sensed the time had finally come to confront the massive stronghold that essentially was keeping her bound, that spiritual barricade that, in some aspects, was blocking her view from her purpose.

And her destiny.

Suddenly, after years of trying to gain closure to a pressing issue that, by all accounts, was reducing her effectiveness to thrive both in natural and the spiritual, Turner sensed it was time to cross paths once again with her sexual abuser, that very person who had caused great damage to the purpose for which she was created.

Never mind that her molester was of kin.

SLAYING THE GIANT

BREAKING HER SILENCE — After years of trying to gain closure to a pressing issue that, by all accounts, was reducing her effectiveness to thrive both in natural and the spiritual, Detroit-area author Shanetta Turner sensed that it was time to cross paths once again with the sexual abuser, who caused great damage to the purpose for which she was created. Turner had managed to garner the essential closure she sought is due in large part to her golden opportunity she was afforded in the book entitled, “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2.”

“I finally spoken to the man that molested me, which is my cousin…my mom’s biological nephew,” Turner, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling her dauntless confrontation with her cousin some two months ago. “It happened to me when I was 12, a preteen.”

As Turner explained, such a disheartening, emotionally-driven development had sent her into an unwarranted tailspin at such a young age, something by which she found difficult to stomach for years.

“I guess you can say that I was torn, because after that, I had to grow up too fast, having (experienced) traumatic, abusive relationships throughout my adult life until now.

BUY NOW — A book that is comprised of a dozen authors — and “One Voice” as mentioned on the cover — “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2” addresses a variety of pertinent topics, most notably surviving divorce, sexual and physical abuse, broken identity, and mental illness, among other subjects.

Amongst the reasons that Turner had managed to garner the essential closure she sought is due in large part to her golden opportunity she was afforded in the book entitled, “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2.”

A native of Detroit, Turner — who’s widely known as “Justice Sista” by way of her Justice Strong Sista Support Group — was presented with the opportunity to contribute to the second edition of “I Am A Black Woman” by Atlanta-area empowerment coach and fellow author Dr. Carolyn Stephens.

A book that is comprised of a dozen authors — and “One Voice” as mentioned on the cover — “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2” addresses a variety of pertinent topics, most notably surviving divorce, sexual and physical abuse, broken identity, and mental illness, among other subjects.

SISTA TO SISTA — A native of Detroit, Turner — who’s widely known as “Justice Sista” by way of her Justice Strong Sista Support Group — was presented with the opportunity to contribute to the second edition of “I Am A Black Woman” by Atlanta-area empowerment coach and fellow author Dr. Carolyn Stephens.

Faced with a brief time frame to submit her submission for this book, Turner wasted little time making her presence felt, having completed her portion of “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2” just shy of two months.

As Turner specifically acknowledged, there was a major reason for her having demonstrated such eagerness to contribute to a book that figures to change a generation.

THUS SAID THE LORD…

“There are more women like me that are scared and holding (their struggles) in for years at a time and staying in silence,” Turner said. “I held mine in for 25 years.”

Sometime during the course the recent holiday season, though, God had birthed this young and gifted writer with the vision to carry out her vision.

Even it meant confronting her abuser, who happened to be a blood relative.

HEART FOR PEOPLE — Faced with a brief timeframe to submit her submission for this book, Turner wasted little time making her presence felt, having completed her portion of “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2” just shy of two months.

“I know God has created me to be a Queen, a woman of respect, leadership, and dignity,” Turner said. “God has creates me to serve others, no matter if it’ in a book, helping a homeless person or a person that has everything but needs some advice, or a person that is in tough times in life.”

For her valiant efforts, coupled with her wealth of transparency, Turner doesn’t shy away from the notion that her latter days will be greater than her former days — with God, her Helper, steering the way.

“My reward from God will be huge,” Turner says without hesitation. “Having sympathy for people and their pain is a job within itself, but is very warm to my heart. When I finally felt good about what I had been wanting to say for over 25 years, I didn’t care what others thought of me for my truth, and speaking to my very first domestic violence sister and her helping her understand there is no need to take your own life because of your past and that you are not alone. I have been there before and that I got help someone, that feeling was unexplainable.”

Not that she’s made her authorship debut, other written projects are surely in the works, likely a few co-written books that will hit the market as early as next year, said Turner, the CEO and Founder of Justice Strong Sistas, LLC.

Also, Turner, who resides in Macomb, Michigan, is scheduled to take part in a  book signing fundraiser event in June in nearby Detroit, during which she will serve as an advocate for “I Am A Black Woman, Volume 2” and her support group.
