Houston businesswoman Toronda Lewis Copeland has become a constant fixture in the financial services industry

As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another. (Proverbs 27:17 NIV)

THE PROVERBS 31 AFFECT

HOLDING IT DOWN — Armed with more than three decades of experience in her selected industry, Houston businesswoman Toronda Copeland’s The Iron Network Tax and Business Consulting is a Christian-based company that’s based largely on the Biblical premise that’s housed in Proverbs 27:17.

DALLAS — If you ever find yourself conversing with Toronda Lewis Copeland long enough, chances are the notable subject pertaining to the Biblical fellowship known as “iron sharpens iron” will likely come up.

And for all the right reasons.
“I love working with people and helping them make their situation better,” Copeland, an accomplished Houston-area entrepreneur, told Making Headline News this week. “I also love numbers. Serving as a business in the financial services industry continues to allow me to satisfy both passions.”
To her credit, Copeland — a remarkably brilliant financial specialist in her own right — has become a constant fixture throughout the Houston metropolitan area as owner and chief executive officer of The Iron Network Tax and Business Consulting.
Armed with more than three decades of experience in her selected industry, Copeland’s The Iron Network Tax and Business Consulting is a Christian-based company that’s based largely on the Biblical premise that’s housed in Proverbs 27:17.

“I have a passion for helping people and I have a passion for business…period,” Copeland, 50, said in a detailed introduction of her venture at https://www.theironnetwork.com/about-us/. “Our team of tax professionals has over twenty years combined experience.  Additionally, we have served in the financial services industry for even longer. We are equipped to handle your business needs.”

As Copeland emphasized, her vision for The Iron Network includes — but isn’t limited to — assisting entrepreneurs in developing their visions into thriving businesses, a trend that would ultimately aid entrepreneurs mightily in moving ever-so-closely toward what she describes as self-actualization.

A NOTABLE REMINDER…

Such a development, in turn, could greatly give way to these business professionals impacting their respective community, Copeland said.

What it practically boils down to, Copeland acknowledged, is strategically executing her personal mission, which is centered largely on promoting financial literacy, particularly by educating women and youth.

“Additionally, I have a mission to build a network of women business owners that connect to support and build up one another in various areas based on the biblical premise found in Proverbs 27:17,” said Copeland, adding that her networking adventure is presently in the works and will launch at a time that has yet to be determined.

A native of Nashville, Copeland grew up in nearby Franklin, a rural establishment that’s roughly 20 miles south of Tennessee’s state capital.

MORE ON COPELAND’S ENDEAVOR: https://www.theironnetwork.com/

A graduate of Whites Creek Comprehensive High School, Copeland advanced her education when she enrolled at University of Phoenix, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

For what it’s worth, she certainly boasts the educational and professional credentials which, much to her delight, have allowed her to reap sustained success in her chosen industry.

An endeavor that is steadily generating more a national presence — most notably in Tennessee, Texas, Ohio, Alabama and Illinois — Copeland stressed that as it relates to working with businesses, her primary focus remains in large part on the small business per se, and that age is not a factor.

“When it comes to my life insurance clients, I have a passion for helping young families solidify their financial foundation at a time when the cost to do so is a whole lot less than if they choose to wait until later on life,” Copeland explained. “At the same time, I find great pleasure in assisting clients of all ages to minimize their tax liability and to maximize their tax refunds.”

Speaking of the term, “maximize,” credit Copeland’s parents for having instilled in her at a young  age the benefits of delving the mindset of an entrepreneur, thus maximizing her potential.

“My mother definitely encouraged me to follow my dreams and made me believe that I could do anything and be whatever I wanted to be in life,” Copeland said. “My dad was an entrepreneur and business owner and also instilled work ethic in me. “My dad has always worked for himself. His work ethic was instilled in me. I’ve always had an interest in business.”

So far, so good for this thriving and progressive Texas-based businesswoman, whose best and brightest days undoubtedly are well ahead of her.

Yep. That goes to show that only what you do for Christ will last.

HERE’S THE 411 — What it practically boils down to, Copeland, acknowledged, is strategically executing her personal mission, which is centered largely on promoting financial literacy, particularly by educating women and youth.

“I love sharing the knowledge that I have,” said Copeland, who became knowledgeable of the tax industry in the late eighties, then formed featured business two years ago, a venture that has since allowed her to engage in bookkeeping, tax resolution, and credit repair.

Interestingly, Copeland earned her insurance license in 2009.

As for her itinerary, she’s currently working on an event in Nashville during which she will bring a broader awareness about financial literacy, as well as the importance of credit.

Also, she announced that plans are currently in the works to hold an event in Houston with two other agencies during which the focus will be geared toward women in what she deems four vital areas: spirituality, self-awareness, business, and finances.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — A graduate of Whites Creek Comprehensive High School, Copeland advanced her education when she enrolled at University of Phoenix, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

In addition, Copeland will appear on a Dallas/Fort Worth-area radio show for a scheduled interview sometime in late October.

“I believe it is important to transfer knowledge, help others grow, and create a legacy for future generations,” Copeland said.

Sounding very much like the remarkably brilliant financial mastermind for whom she is widely known.

Houston real estate extraordinaire Jacqueline Briscoe helping home buyers achieve the ‘American Dream’

NEW IMAGE, BIG DREAMS

DESTINY STEPS — For Jacqueline Briscoe, a native of Houston, she has been afforded the golden opportunity of helping homebuyers achieve and savor the America dream for the past decade and-a-half as the catalyst for New Image Realty.

DALLAS — When Jacqueline Briscoe advanced her education at the University of Houston, she deemed it essential to declare Communications as her major.

But amongst the notable factors she had ultimately come to discover was that God had other strategic ideas on her behalf.
For Briscoe, it was an awe-inspiring endeavor, one that eventually had come wrapped up in the unique gift through real estate.
“I have always been a people person and an advocate for the underdog,” Briscoe told Making Headline News this week. “So to help people who never thought they could buy a home walk into their season and get the American dream of home ownership, I am so grateful to be a part of that to make their dreams come true.”
A native of Houston, Briscoe has been afforded the golden opportunity of helping home buyers achieve and savor the “America dream” for the past decade and-a-half as the catalyst for New Image Realty.

Located at 16770 Imperial Valley Drive in the greater Houston metropolitan area, Briscoe has evolved as fixture in what undoubtedly is one of the country’s most competitive professions.

In a nutshell, part of her mission as a thriving real estate profession is routinely going to great lengths to ensure that her clients can appropriately encounter the proverbial unthinkable.

“(I love to) help people who didn’t know it was possible to buy a home,” said Briscoe, introducing her longstanding mission as only she could. “(I love) to show people (that even though) you can be single, you might have always rented before, or you are a newlywed couple or had credit struggles, I can normally help them become homeowners.”

To her credit, her immeasurable track record is such that she’s aided a number home buyers defy arguably the greatest of odds, particularly when pressing and navigating their way through the sometimes dreaded home-buying process.

“We have a program whereby when people are buying a new home, I give back a portion of my commission so when you buy a new home you won’t have a house note for at least two months,” said Briscoe, referring to her company’s ‘First Month On Us’ program.

Interestingly, Briscoe’s keen entrepreneurship reputation is such that she’s become thoroughly committed to showing her clients that she has a heart for people.

“I am with you from start to finish,” Briscoe said. “I have a background as a former loan officer and credit restoration adviser.”

In addition, Briscoe has spent a considerable amount of time, working as a new home consultant for home builders, she acknowledged.

“So I have a full knowledge of the entire realm of the real estate industry,” Briscoe said, adding that her strategic, featured motto is “Walk into your season.”

Three dimensional render of a cartoon human figure, standing over a SOLD sign, with a home in the background.

For what it’s worth, this rising giant in the real estate industry is surely walking in the divine season for which God has created her.

So much for studying Communications at the U of H.

“Let me help you achieve the American Dream through home ownership,” said Briscoe, adding that arguably her greatest inspirations are: Miko Branch, CEO of Miss Jessie’s, and Shannon Battle, Founder and Director of Family Services of America.

ALL AMERICAN REALTOR

HOLDING IT DOWN — To her credit, Briscoe’s immeasurable track record is such that she’s aided homebuyers defy arguably the greatest of odds, particularly when pressing and navigating their way through the sometimes dreaded home-buying process.

Much to her delight, Briscoe will make a few public appearances in the foreseeable future, during which she will continue to educate the masses on home buying opportunities.

“Remember, a credit (score) as low as 580 and two months no of house payment,” Briscoe said.

Sounding very much like the authentic real estate professional for which she is widely known.

Houston author Philandis Stovall’s recalls loving memory of her son, who wrote a book before his untimely death

If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small. (Proverbs 24:10 KJV)

VICTORIOUS REGARDLESS

MUSTARDSEED FAITH — Houston author Philandis Stovall wrote the emotionally-driven, tear-jerking written work entitled, “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Amid Adversity, an awe-inspiring project that garnered a wave of media coverage since its much-anticipated release in nearly two years ago.

DALLAS — To his credit, little “Ziggy” reached his destiny before God ceremoniously called him home.

“I received the confirmation for writing my book when I was in the hospital with my son while he was having his bone marrow transplantation,” Philandis Philly Stovall told Making Headline News during a weekend interview, recalling the memorable developments that unfolded in July 2017, during which her son, Fre’Derick Leontez Young Redd III, was hospitalized at Texas Children’s Hospital after being diagnosed with cancer.
The book to which Stovall is alluding is her emotionally-driven, tear-jerking written work entitled, “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Amid Adversity, an awe-inspiring project that garnered a wave of media coverage since its much-anticipated release in nearly two years ago.
A book that Stovall began composing sometime in September 2017 and needed approximately two weeks to complete, “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Admid Adversity” is a story of one mom’s journey from despair to triumph, according to detailed breakdown by Google Books.

A book that Stovall began composing sometime in September 2017 and needed approximately two weeks to complete, “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Admid Adversity” is a story of one mom’s journey from despair to triumph, according to detailed breakdown by Google Books.

In 2012, for instance, Stovall’s then four-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer. Consequently, she found herself in what she described as “a zone,” whereby all she wanted was peace and quiet.

In  no particular order.

“I was searching for sense in a situation that made no sense to me,” Stovall writes.

STAR POWER — Interestingly and much to Stovall’s delight, her book — as well as her son’s written work — has caught the attention of an array of athletes, including the Rice University football program the Houston Texans, as well as former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal.

Interestingly, alone with her wave of thoughts and emotions, Stovall desperately wanted to “wake up” from what sense was a nightmare.

Still, the Greenville, Mississippi native demonstrated enough faith to stay awake, particularly in the spirit, considering she had come to grips with the notion that what was unfolding in her young life wasn’t merely a dream.

“This was reality and she was forced with the choice of retreating into the devastation or fighting her way through the storm,” said a Google Books spokesperson for Stovall’s “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Admid Adversity.’” “Finding herself on an unexpected and unwelcome path, the young mother could feel a rebirth happening. With each day and event, she found herself growing stronger and stronger.”

In 2012, for instance, Stovall’s then four-year-old son was diagnosed with cancer. Consequently, she found herself in what she described as “a zone,” where all she wanted was peace and quiet.

Even amid her son’s unlikely diagnosis — he wasn’t born with cancer – Stovall didn’t merely have time to cope; rather, she simply had to learn to deal with it, she’s explained time and again.

Regardless, because of her spiritually resourcefulness, Stovall’s story essentially is one whereby she had to learn of rely on her faith — the kind of faith that had ultimately given way to her exemplifying hope, particularly when that about which she encountered seemed hopeless.

But God…

“I knew from the beginning of our journey we had a purpose and reason for being assigned to go through cancer treatment,” said Stovall, when asked what was the single, most underlying reason she chose to produce “Even Through the Storm: A Mom’s Story of Faith Admid Adversity.” “My handsome son wasn’t born with cancer. He was born a completely healthy baby boy.”

Still, before his health had begun to decline, Stovall miraculously aided her son mightily to fulfill his God-manifested purpose, considering “Ziggy” surprisingly wrote his very own book while in the hospital before he passed away. The title: “The Mystery of the Missing Ring,” which was published earlier this year.

The title: “The Mystery of the Missing Ring,” which was published earlier this year.

Talk about a mother and child collectively devising ways to weather arguably the toughest of adversity.

“I have gotten overwhelmingly amazing reviews and feedback on my memoir, including five-star ratings,” Stovall said. “I was told prophetically I have a bestselling book and that’s what I believe.”

Interestingly and much to Stovall’s delight, her book — as well as her son’s written work — has caught the attention of an array of athletes, including the Rice University football program the Houston Texans, as well as former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal.

Because of her spiritually resourcefulness, Stovall’s story essentially is one whereby she had to learn of rely on her faith — the kind of faith that had ultimately given way to her exemplifying hope, particularly when that about which she encountered seemed hopeless.

“This memoir shares a major part of my life and how I handled it being a single mother of two children with one being diagnosed with cancer,” said Stovall, adding “more personal book projects” are forthcoming much sooner than later. “I have been able to share my strengths, weaknesses, and faith in God words, no matter what the world says. I have been able to start and continue one of my passions, which is helping others with my nonprofit organization efforts.”

Surely, because of keen perseverance, “Ziggy” is peeping through the clouds above and giving his mom’s a well-deserved thumbs up.

Is Houston entrepreneur Katina Cansler the organizational services industry’s best kept secret?

Let all things be done decently and in order. (1 Corinthians 14:40 KJV)

KC’s TOUCH OF EXCELLENCE

TOUCH OF SUCCESS — Katina Cansler the proud owner and CEO of  KC’s Touch, her Houston-area organizational services, which exhibit an extensive background and expertise necessary to properly maintain and organize your property or facility.

DALLAS — Katina Cansler has what she refers to as her “new adventure,” one she doesn’t plan on shelving any time soon.

Heck, why should she demonstrate signs of slowing down any time soon as the proud owner and CEO of  KC’s Touch, her Houston-area organizational services, which exhibit an extensive background and expertise necessary to properly maintain and organize your property or facility.
Widely known for its “world class organizational services,” KC’s Touch’s system was created to ensure that its clients pay witness to a clean and healthy home.
“Our process revolves around you and your family to provide a unique cleaning process with the highest attention to detail,” said a spokesperson for KC’s Touch in a detailed overview of this business at http://www.kcstouch.com/index.html.

Not only that, KC’s Touch has established a keen reputation for routinely bringing about a customer-first focus atmosphere, coupled with what Cansler describes as “old-fashioned values” derived from character and integrity, not to mention an “all in service” of providing its clients with the highest level of professionalism they deserve.

Aside from overseeing the day-to-day operations of KC’s Touch, Cansler is longtime cosmetologist, whose career spans more than 30 years.

Currently, the Fort Wayne, Indiana native has been afforded the luxury working savoring the best of both worlds through her endeavors. But as she forthrightly explained during an interview this week with Making Headline News, KC’s Touch essentially has emerged as her first love, of sorts.

YOU’VE GOTTA SEE THIS!!!

A business that accommodates mostly individuals ranging in their mid-30’s and up, Cansler’s wealth of experience in organizational services has been put on display in a variety of places around the country, most notably Indiana, Arizona, Texas, Atlanta, North Carolina, among others.

As Canslers recalls, her rise to starting her featured business goes all the back to her childhood days in Indiana.

“Growing up, it was always mandatory to keep the house clean,” said Cansler, who relocated from Arizona to Texas in 2015. “We had to do chores, no questions about that. So as I got older I became OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder) with my children and everything had to be in place.”

Everything from the towels — “they had to be folded a certain way,” Cansler explained — to the floor which, according to this nuts-and-bolts businesswoman, had to be vacuumed “with the lines in the carpet,” she says without hesitation.

Interestingly and to her credit, Cansler never imagined that her immeasurable gifts for ensuring that things stay squeaky clean would ultimately blossom into a full fledge business.

“I always cleaned for friends and family and would have never considered it to be a business,” Cansler said. “Anyway, fast forwarding up to date…when I moved to Houston my daughter, Breanna, came out her bedroom and said, ‘Mom, my closet need KC’s Touch.’”

THAT’S NOT ALL SHE DOES — A entrepreneurial tenure that also include her functioning as an event and party planner, Cansler is presently enrolled at Houston Community College, where she’s pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Interior Designing.

And from that point on, Cansler explained, such a memory essentially marked the beginning of her organizational services, which have been in full operations for a little more than a decade.

How time flies when you’re having fun, doing what you love — a trend to which Cansler can greatly attest.

“It was at that moment a light come on in my head,” said Cansler, recalling her exchange with her daughter, which gave way to the very name of her business. “I loved the way it sounded and then I started with the business.”

Aside from overseeing the day-to-day operations of KC’s Touch, Cansler is longtime cosmetologist, whose career spans more than 30 years.

And the rest, as they say, was history.

“What I hadn’t realized is that I had (been engaging in) these services for years without ever giving it any thought…going to people’s homes and cleaning up bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets, just to name a few,” Cansler said. “There is a great need for my services, but some people are embarrassed to invite someone into their home and help them get organized, because it’s totally different from house-cleaning, which we offer those services as well.”

Currently, the Fort Wayne, Indiana native has been afforded the luxury working savoring the best of both worlds through her endeavors. But as she forthrightly explained during an interview this week with Making Headline News, KC’s Touch essentially has emerged as her first love, of sorts.

A entrepreneurial tenure that also include her functioning as an event and party planner, Cansler is presently enrolled at Houston Community College, where she’s pursuing an Associate of Arts Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Interior Designing.

For what it’s worth, she said her profession as the face of KC’s Touch gives her the golden opportunity to meet people from various walks of life, during which she customarily deems it essential to pass along some much-needed words of encouragement while doing what she’s loves the most.

A business that accommodates mostly individuals ranging in their mid-30’s and up, Cansler’s wealth of experience in organizational services has been put on display in a variety of places around the country, most notably Indiana, Arizona, Texas, Atlanta, North Carolina, among others.

“My desire is to help people get organized by implementing daily tasks,” said Cansler, who also announced the forthcoming release of her new book that’s scheduled to hit the market in late summer. “God has commissioned to be a beacon (of light) in the community…to give hope, to inspire, and encourage others.”

IN HER OWN WORDS — “I always cleaned for friends and family and would have never considered it to be a business,” Cansler said. “Anyway, fast forwarding up to date…when I moved to Houston my daughter, Breanna, came out her bedroom and said, ‘Mom, my closet need KC’s Touch.’”

Oh…and let’s not forget: to keep things clean.

Er…squeaky clean.

“I absolutely love helping people achieve and strive to their highest potential,” Cansler said. “Therefore, if someone needs some assistance with getting their homes in order, I would be happy to. A well-organized home promotes a healthy life and decreases depression and anxiety.”

She would undoubtedly know.

Her immeasurable track record speaks for itself.

Houston author Brittney Carr escapes suicide time and again, she explains in her new book

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NIV)

DALLAS — As far as Brittney Carr is concerned, it literally goes without saying.

That is, she undoubtedly thanks God for her husband, Darius Carr, who unquestionably has been her grandest supporter ever since God has joined them together.

Consider, for instance, how in October 2018, during which God had strategically given Brittney Carr the awe-inspiring vision to make her authorship debut, courtesy of her book entitled, F.E.A.R., the acronym that stands for False Evidence Appearing Real.

SURROUNDED BY ANGELS

DESTINY STEPS — In October 2018, God had strategically given Houston author Brittney Carr the awe-inspiring vision to make her authorship debut, courtesy of her book entitled, F.E.A.R., the acronym that stands for False Evidence Appearing Real.

A 79-page project that Brittney Carr needed somewhere in the neighborhood of three months to assemble, F.E.A.R. is less than two months removed from having made its ceremonious release on the market.

During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Brittney Carr credited her beloved companion for having fueled her desire to compose a book that figures to help advance the kingdom — much sooner than later.

“God gave me the vision to write this book one day when my husband told me that I needed to tell people my story and that I would help many people with my testimony. So God told me to just start writing. So I started to write my story.” — Texas Author Brittney Carr

And what a remarkably compelling and thought-provoking story it is.

PURCHASE BRITTNEY CARR’S BOOK HERE: https://www.amazon.com/F-R-False-Evidence-Appearing/dp/1795824484/

An emotionally-drive, tear-jerking story that recalls how this brilliant author had had been spiritually and emotionally incarcerated to the point, during which she had attempted suicide an unprecedented four times during a span of six months, Carr’s F.E.A.R. is widely deemed an inspirational, yet true story, one that serves as an instant motivator for anyone who has gone through arguably the toughest of life’s trials and tribulations.

“Nothing is ever as bad as it seems, but it’s the paralyzing F.E.A.R. that difficult circumstances in life continually produce in our minds that cause us to go to pieces when faced with extreme adversities,” said a spokesperson for Carr’s book at Amazon.com. “The mental, emotional, and spiritual effects can be catastrophic or sometimes even fatal. This book was designed to help the millions of people worldwide that are currently going through something very difficult in life such as physical health issues, mental illness, financial problems, anxiety, addiction, heartbreak, failed relationships, parenting obstacles, death of a loved one, self-esteem troubles, spiritual warfare, mental and emotional trauma, and much more.”

HUBBY KNOWS BEST — During an interview this week with Making Headline News, Brittney Carr credited, Darius Carr, her beloved companion for having fueled her desire to compose a book that figures to help advance the kingdom — much sooner than later.

For Carr, a Houston-based author, she said that while the writing process of her book wasn’t merely a lengthy one — “Maybe a couple of days, but the editing took a little longer and the procrastination of not knowing if I wanted to let people know my business,” she acknowledged — she certainly didn’t want to be ashamed of the turbulent developments she disclosed.

Still, because she was thoroughly convinced that God had strategically placed her on assignment to compose her book, she knew full well she had to tell of her story to the masses.

THEY’RE DEPENDING ON HER — To no avail, God — as only He could — didn’t allow Carr to cross paths with a premature death, in large part because, well, the purpose for which He created her wasn’t fulfilled.

And so it came to pass, Carr’s assortment of emotional and life-alter testimonies, all of which had come wrapped up in a rather pivotal message, one that reminds us, among other things, that fear is false evidence appearing real, she often says without hesitation.

“Alot of people are paralyzed by fear and they are unable to live life,” Carr said. “I was one of those people. I wasn’t afraid to die, but I was afraid to live. I hated this world and everything in it. And I was ready to go home (to heaven).”

PURCHASE BRITTNEY CARR’S BOOK HERE: https://www.amazon.com/F-R-False-Evidence-Appearing/dp/1795824484/

To no avail, God — as only He could — didn’t allow Carr to cross paths with a premature death, in large part because, well, the purpose for which He created her wasn’t merely fulfilled.

That, as a result, meant she had to tough it out, thus press and navigate her way through the slew of unfavorable circumstances that arose in her young life to challenge her faith.

“Through the goodness of God, I made it through,” Carr said. “And I want to let people know that they may be in the darkest place of their lives right now, but if they just continue to trust God and pray and cry out to Him that they can get out. God is a Present Help and He is always listening and guiding His children.”

HAVE NO FEAR

TRUSTING THE PROCESS — For Carr, a Houston-based author, she said that while the writing process of her book wasn’t merely a lengthy one — “Maybe a couple of days, but the editing took a little longer and the procrastination of not knowing if I wanted to let people know my business,” she acknowledged — she certainly didn’t want to be ashamed of the turbulent developments she disclosed.

As expected, the feedback since the release of Carr’s book has been favorable.

“I have gained very positive feedback,” said Carr, adding that a two more books are on the horizon. “People have been writing me, telling me how my testimonies have inspired them in many ways.”

Much to her delight, Carr has her husband to thank for helping steer her to her divine purpose.

“My life is a testimony that I was ashamed of, but not anymore,” Carr said. “I realized I’m not the only one with life issues, and if we just tell our testimonies and not be afraid, we can all help one another get through life until we go home.”

As far as this amazing author is concerned, that literally goes without saying.

Houston businesswoman Tina McBride Reed goes from fast food worker to CEO of credible mobile care and companion service

DISPLAYING AGAPE LOVE

GOD’S UNCHANGING HAND — A native of Spring, Texas, Tina McBride Reed, 40, is the owner and chief executive officer of Tina Reed’s Caring Hands LLC, a Houston-area mobile care and companion service whose primary emphasis is centered mostly on helping and caring for others, most notably senior citizens, whom are often neglected, Reed told Making Headline News this week.

DALLAS — Tina McBride Reed’s reputation is such that she routinely exemplifies having a heart for people, especially for elderly individuals.

So, much in fact, that Reed has gone to great lengths to provide a resourceful, credible service to elderly people throughout the greater Houston metropolitan and surrounding areas.

A native of Spring, Texas, Reed, 40, is the owner and chief executive officer of Tina Reed’s Caring Hands LLC, a Houston-area mobile care and companion service whose primary emphasis is centered mostly on helping and caring for others, most notably senior citizens, whom are often neglected, Reed told Making Headline News this week.

“We are a private mobile care and companion service that offers to anyone who is in need, but caters especially to the senior citizens,” Reed said. “I feel they are often neglected in some ways and often forgotten at times.”

Having assembled a staff that is comprised of her mother, two sisters, a niece, as well as a host of friends, family members, and caregivers, Reed established her mobile care venture a little more than a year ago — January 19, 2018 to be technical — as a strategic way to bridge the gap between that about which she’s passionate and the love for what she’s become destined to do.

ALL OF GOD’S PEOPLE MATTER — Reed’s reputation is such that she routinely exemplifies having a heart for people, especially for elderly individuals.

Currently a resident of Humble, Texas, Reed is the Activities Director and caregiver for a senior living community in nearby Woodlands.

“I’ve worked in the healthcare field and I’ve seen some things that I wish I could unsee,” Reed said. “I’ve seen the type of care that has been provided, and it wasn’t pleasing to me, so I wanted to make a difference.”

A little more than a year removed since the startup of Tina Reed’s Caring Hands LLC, this thriving, progressive businesswoman has been nothing short of impressive.

Credit her keen passion, coupled with her divine calling, as the reasons why.

“I wanted to be different and create my own team and expectations of how my vision of how care should be provided. I stand firm on our motto which is, ‘Treating your loved ones as our own.’ This simply means, however, you would treat (people like) your own mother, father, or loved one whether someone is there, overseeing you or not. You would want someone to provide that same type of love care, patience, and companionship for your loved ones, so I wanted to venture out on my own with my family to share our love and passion for what we do.” — Texas Entrepreneur Tina McBride Reed

To her credit, it seems that Reed and her team are reaping favorable results of their tireless efforts and valiant contributions through a distinctly unique mobile care venture that has become a fixture in the community.

“Thus far, we have touched a lot of lives, a lot of hearts, and a lot of families and their loved ones,” Reed said of the sustained success of her business. “My staff and I are both professional and caring, when it comes to your loved ones. We take great pride in providing the best, quality care, love, and support that are required in the adult healthcare field.”

Armed with a nearly a decade and a half of experience in the adult healthcare sector, Reed said what she loves the most about her line of work is the lasting relationships she customarily forms amongst those with whom she crosses paths.

PUTTING IN THE WORK — Currently a resident of Humble, Texas, Reed is the Activities Director and caregiver for a senior living community in nearby Woodlands.

“The thing I like the most about my business is meeting new people, creating special bonds, bonds that are like friendships, and some are like family,” said Reed, whose venture mostly accommodates senior citizens of any age, as well as special education or adult children. “I love to hear the stories that they share. I love transitioning with them and, most of all, I like providing them with quality care, companionship, passion and love for them, something I feel that every person should feel or provide for whomever. I get great joy in helping others.”

Her “great joy,” she said, was spearheaded by her Creator.

“I would definitely have to say that it was put on my heart by God,” said Reed, when asked Who were amongst those who inspired her to enter entrepreneurship. “I started off in fast food, working at Jack In The Box for five years before I said to myself, ‘This is not what I want to do for the rest of my life.’”

Interestingly, that Reed — behind the valiant support of Shannon Reed, her husband of three years — was determined to see from beyond her tenure at a local fast food chain and persevere diligently toward her purpose and calling has benefited her mightily, given the immeasurable strides she’s made a newcomer to the world of entrepreneurship.

“I was introduced to the healthcare field by my sister, who is also a caregiver for my company,” Reed explained. “She introduced me to providing care for the seniors.”

And the rest, as they say, was history.

Never mind that Reed had made her debut in the industry virtually clueless about what to do.

A SERVANT’S HEART

IMPACTING LIVES — Armed with a nearly a decade and a half of experience in the adult healthcare sector, Reed said what she loves the most about her line of work is the last relationships she customarily forms amongst those with whom she crosses paths.

“I honestly had no experience in the healthcare field prior to this besides taking care of my own parents,” said Reed, “but when I saw the responses from the care that I provided, that was a sign from God to me that this is what I needed to do.”

Once she made God the Focal Point of her what undoubtedly has become her newfound passion, she in turn began to reap her share of success.

Sustained success, that is.

“Honestly, I see a lot of people that want to do certain things but are afraid to step out on faith and do it,” Reed said. “There are a lot of people that just don’t want to take that extra initiative to do something that they love. I was in the same boat, but I stepped out on faith and said, ‘I’m going to do this.’”

For Reed, it was, by all accounts, a massive leap of faith, the kind that has ultimately connected her with the purpose for which she was created.

GOD’S PLAN — Interestingly, that Reed was determined to see from beyond her tenure at a local fast food chain and persevere diligently toward her purpose and calling has benefited her mightily, given the immeasurable strides she’s made a newcomer to the world of entrepreneurship.

“(I said) ‘If I make it great, wonderful. I’ve succeeded and I will have a success story. But if I fail, I still feel like I tried, I attempted, and I stepped out on faith and did not give up on at least trying so either way I still win,’” Reed recalled. “So I just want to show others that anything that you set your mind to that you can do if you put in the work for it.

“Nothing is ever given to you. You have to work for it. I love encouraging and inspiring and uplifting anyone in life who is trying to make it. That is me.”

Indeed it is.

What a difference one year has made.

Baytown, Texas businesswoman Stephanie Allen’s Steppin’ Into Your Health becoming a globally-acclaimed health and wellness venture

Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves. (Philippians 2:3 KJV)

Stephanie Lynn Allen’s entrepreneurship track is such that she is a proven, resourceful leader.

An “exemplary leader” she often says without hesitation.

LOVE, PEACE, AND HAPPINESS…OH, AND HEALTH — To her distinctly unique credit, Accomplished businesswoman Stephanie Allen has gone to great lengths to not just write down her vision. Rather, she’s steadfastly running with it in way unimaginable as the mastermind behind Steppin’ Into Your Health. A Baytown, Texas-based business is powered by Total Life Changes, Allen’s latest endeavor is a health and wellness venture, of sorts, whereby she customarily garners personal fulfillment in knowing that she’s armed with the keen ability to make a difference in the lives of others.

“How you do anything is how you do everything,” Allen, 51, said during an interview with Making Headline News this week. “I demonstrate my care and compassion every day, regardless of what trials and tribulations may come my way. Some individuals have potential and certain people won’t give them the time of day, but my dad taught me that there are no big ‘I’s’ and little ‘u’s,’  and everyone is someone.

“Sometimes, people just need that extra nudge to stop watching the movement and get in the game. In other words, get uncomfortable if you want something different, and then you have to do something different. We all have dreams and goals, so write your vision and make it plain.”

To her distinctly unique credit, Allen has gone to great lengths to not just write down her vision. Rather, she’s steadfastly running with it in ways unimaginable as the mastermind behind Steppin’ Into Your Health.

A Baytown, Texas-based business that is powered by Total Life Changes, Allen’s latest endeavor is a health and wellness venture, of sorts, whereby she customarily garners personal fulfillment in knowing that she’s armed with the keen ability to make a difference in the lives of others.

One life at a time.

“I am a believer, and I know you cannot serve God without serving His people,” said Allen, explaining what she loves the most about her business. “The all-natural organic products that are being shared warm my heart every time I share my testimonies and before and after pictures with others.”

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — As it pertains to climbing the ladder as an accomplished businesswoman, Allen certainly boasts the credentials, which have enabled her to function mightily in her element. A 1985 graduate of Barbers Hill High School, Allen graduated Lee College in Baytown, Texas with Associate’s Degree in Business Management. She followed that up by earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Houston at Clear Lake.

Accompanied by the solid, unyielding support of her husband, Roynald Allen, Stephanie Allen’s Steppin’ Into Your Health has become a fixture in various establishments, considering her affiliation with TLC has allowed her to travel and promote her business in such notable places Hawaii, Jamaica, Cozumel, New York, Reno, Nevada, and Florida, just to name a few.

Interestingly, for a businesswoman who’s committed to promoting health and wellness, Allen is often afforded the golden opportunity to travel with her bowling league, during which she routinely shares of these “amazing” and credible products with people from various walks of life.

“My husband and I not only help people transform their bodies, but we also tell them about the opportunity to earn additional income or supplement the income they already have,” said Allen, whose entrepreneurship tenure spans roughly five years.

Three years removed from having partnered with Total Life Changes, Allen wasted little time building a favorable track record with this globally-acclaimed company, considering she has been promoted to the level of Regional Director.

MAN WITH THE PLAN — Accompanied by the solid, unyielding support of her husband, Roynald Allen, Stephanie Allen’s Steppin’ Into Your Health is has become a fixture in various establishments, considering her affiliation with TLC has allowed her to travel and promote her business in Hawaii, Jamaica, Cozumel, New York, Reno, Nevada, and Florida, just to name a few.

Add to the fact that her mother, Mae Landry, has been amongst those who has greatly helped fueled Allen’s desire to broaden her horizon through the health and wellness industry, and it’s no wonder this Old River-Winfree, Texas native’s best and brightest days through her venture are well ahead of her.

“She has been a faithful customer and always encouraging and inspiring me to be all I can be,” Allen said of her mother, who also happens to be one of her most devoted customers.

As it pertains to climbing the ladder as an accomplished businesswoman, Allen certainly boasts the credentials, which have enabled her to function mightily in her element.

A 1985 graduate of Barbers Hill High School, Allen graduated from Baytown’s Lee College with Associate’s Degree in Business Management. She followed that up by earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Houston at Clear Lake.

Long before starting her business, Allen spent 21 years as an Emergency Department employee at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown, during which she witnessed firsthand a slew of extremely ill people.

“It makes you step back and take a look at the healthcare industry,” Allen recalled. “This eye-opener helped me realize that we need to take our health more seriously, and when you create wellness for yourself, automatically you are going to do the same for others.”

To her credit, doing the same for others she, in fact, did, a trend from which she hasn’t any signs of backing down any time soon.

GIVING BACK BIG TIME — Interestingly, for a businesswoman who’s committed to promoting health and wellness, Allen is often afforded the golden opportunity to travel with her bowling league, during which she routinely shares of these “amazing” and credible products with people from various walks of life.

If nothing else, Allen is destined to continue walking in the purpose for which she was created — a purpose that includes, among others, inspiring others to possess and sustain a healthy lifestyle.

One life at a time.

“I have always been inspiring and encouraging to others,” said Allen, an active and devout Christian, who attends Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Old River-Winfree, where her father, Frank J. Landry, has pastored for the past 25 years. “I believe in using my God-given abilities, authority, and talents to empower others and help them reach their goals. I know that sharing whatever talents God has given me will not stop my shine so to speak. I am a firm believer, and I know without a doubt that what God has for me, is for me.”

Spoken like a proven, resourceful leader.

Houston-area businesswoman Valerie Barrett bolts Corporate America, starts a ‘hidden gem’ that is Massage By Design

DALLAS — Did you know there is a hidden gem housed in the suburbs of Houston’s Metroplex that’s centered largely on increasing relaxation, alleviating pain, and managing the hustle and bustle of everyday life?

DESTINY STEPS — Alabama native Valerie Barrett is the mastermind behind Massage By Design at 25132 Oakhurst Rd, Suite 125, a Spring, Texas-based establishment where customers can savor luxurious massages at an affordable rate, as owner and CEO Valerie Barrett told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

In case you haven’t heard of it, it’s called Massage By Design at 25132 Oakhurst Rd, Suite 125, a Spring, Texas-based establishment where customers can savor luxurious massages at an affordable rate, as owner and CEO Valerie Barrett told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

An accomplished licensed massage therapist who comes to the Houston area by way of Boligee, Alabama — a rural town in the historic Greene County near Tuscaloosa that’s comprised of roughly 328 residents, according to the latest U. S. census — Massage By Design is where Barrett routinely “practices my passion,” she often says.

To her credit, the prelude to practicing her passion, coupled with basking in her element began after Barrett bolted the Corporate America sector and was destined to step out on faith by delving off into this ever-so-competitive world of entrepreneurship.

Having officially become a licensed massage therapist in 2013, Barrett wasted little time starting her own business, one that’s geared toward aiding consumers to improve and maintain their overall physical and spiritual wellness.

Interestingly, Massage By Design is widely known as a multi-modality massage practice, where Barrett provides therapeutic massage for relaxation and pain management.

“She brings years of experience and a lifetime of compassion to her practice,” said a spokesperson in a detailed description of Barrett’s business at http://valsmassagebydesign.com/.

IT IS WELL — Having officially become a licensed massage therapist in 2013, Barrett wasted little time starting her own business, one that geared toward aiding consumers to improve and maintain their overall physical and spiritual wellness.

Moreover, since the startup of Massage By Design, Barrett has been afforded the golden opportunity to contract with a local retirement community, whereby she customarily provides massage therapy to its residents.

In addition, she routinely provides massage therapy to riders of the MS150, and has been a guest massage therapist for ZaSpa (Hotel ZaZa) which, to her credit, has given way to her being dubbed a “highly sought after and requested massage therapist” at the Spa at the Waterway (widely known as the Woodlands Marriott Hotel).

MORE ON MASSAGE BY DESIGN: http://valsmassagebydesign.com/

TEAM BARRETT — By and large, Barrett attributes the sustained success of Massage By Design to the unyielding support of her husband, Jimmie Barrett Jr., who, she acknowledges has always been one of her strongest supporters, coupled with the support of her “amazing children.”

“I want to be the change, a difference maker, and an influencer of change by providing a quality therapeutic massage at an affordable price,” said Barrett, explaining her primary mission for functioning in her divine purpose while alluding to  Deuteronomy 28:12. “My belief is that our bodies were designed to heal itself with proper care, nutrition, exercise, plus rest and relaxation through massage.”

By and large, Barrett attributes much of her sustained entrepreneurship success to the unyielding support of her husband, Jimmie Barrett Jr., whom she acknowledges has always been one of her strongest supporters, coupled with the support of her “amazing children.”

Today, unlike never before, Barrett can truly profess that she’s walking in the purpose for which God created her.

“Naturally, I was inspired by my parents but especially my mother, who is still a small business owner,” said Valerie Barrett, adding that her business is presently booking clients for her annual Valentines Couples Massage Package as well as her newly-implemented Rewards Program, its Design Your Own Massage Package, and its Cellulitis Destroyer. “I was also inspired by my oldest daughter and several close friends who are also small business owners and my son, whom I respect deeply because of his kind heart and his strength to persevere.”

Interestingly, Barrett certainly boasts the credentials needed to dwell and function in her element as one of Houston’s most efficient licensed massage therapists.

For starters, the Houston Klein Forest High alum is a product of Phoenix Massage School in the greater Houston metropolitan area as well as studied at nearby LoneStar Community College.

KNOWLEDGE IS POWER — Interestingly, Barrett certainly boasts the credentials needed to dwell and function in her element as one of Houston’s most efficient licensed massage therapists. For starters, the Houston Klein Forest High alum is a product of Phoenix Massage School in the greater Houston metropolitan area as well as studied at nearby LoneStar Community College.

With close ties to Memphis, where she attended a few years of high school before relocating to Texas, Barrett studied in Seminary School at Houston’s Immanuel Temple School Of The Bible, where she earned an undergraduate degree in Divinity.

All things considered, her continuous success as an accomplished, progressive businesswoman has come full circle, in large part because she was compelled to step out on faith by vacating Corporate America.

The rest, as they say, was history.

“I was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and influenced by my parents,” Barrett said. “My mom and dad owned a small cafe back home in Alabama, and the burgers were the talk of the town. Also, like many others, my job was being eliminated in Corporate America, so I decided to make a career change. I wanted to move into a field that allowed me to make a tangible difference and massage was the catalyst.”

Today, unlike never before, Barrett can truly profess that she’s walking in the purpose for which God created her.

ALL GOD’S DOING — All things considered, Barrett’s continuous success as an accomplished, progressive businesswoman has come full circle, in large part because she was compelled to step out on faith by vacating Corporate America. The rest, as they say, was history.

Which, of course, like her successful business venture, was all by design from the outset.

“I want all — especially teen parents — to know that you don’t have to be a victim of your circumstances,” Barrett said. “There is a winner within. I believe Rudy T (Former Houston Rockets head coach Rudy Tomjanovich) once said, ‘Never underestimate the heart of a champion.’ Those are words to live by.

“I had the greatest parents and they were the village that helped to rear my daughter,” Barrett added. “Over 32 years ago, I was a teen mom and today, I am a successful business owner and so is my daughter. My ultimate goal is to start a nonprofit to help teen parents in the near future.”

Talk about a true, big-hearted hidden gem, one who has gone to great lengths to make her dreams a reality.

Houston-area evangelist/author Dr. Sena Whitaker’s “I’m Sleeping With The Pastor!” an intriguing read amongst believers

CHRISTIAN LOVE BIRDS — Earl Whitaker, with God, his Helper leading the way, is a longtime Pastor and he’s pretty darn good and resourceful one, considering his wife has steadfastly obeyed the voice of God by composing a book that depicts this very subject and lifestyle. Dr. Sena Whitaker is the mastermind behind “I’m Sleeping With The Pastor!” an intriguing, thought-provoking published document that is widely known as a success kit for Pastors wives and those who love them.

DALLAS — Make no mistake, Dr. Sena Whitaker would be the first admit that she simply loves to sleep with a Pastor.

Literally and figuratively, mind you.

Flash back to sometime a little more than a decade ago, when Whitaker was lying in bed next to her beloved companion, Earl Whitaker.

That is when, according to her, her Creator appropriately reminded her of whom she goes to sleep with and wakes up next to daily.

So all things considered, there’s no sense, really, in anyone publicly broadcasting to the masses that Dr. Whitaker is one who finds pleasure in sleeping with a man of cloth.

Heck, come to think of it, she’d be happy to tell you herself.

YOU SLEEPING WITH WHO? Officially released in May 20, 2013, “I’m Sleeping With The Pastor!” has emerged as a rather compelling seller, particularly amongst those in the Body of Christ who share a similar lifestyle as Dr. Whitaker.

“(In 2006), as my husband and I were lying in bed talking, he told me he had to get up and get ready to drive to the church,” Dr. Whitaker told Making Headline News this week.

The church to which Earl Whitaker was referring is located in Lufkin, Texas, an institution that is approximately an hour-and-a-half-away from the couples’ Cypress, Texas home, or roughly 127 miles.

So much for withholding a secret, of sorts — one that, to the Whitakers’ credit, has become public news amongst countless individuals.

“All of a sudden I laughed and said, ‘O, I forgot. I’m sleeping with the pastor!’” Dr. Whitaker jokingly said in revealing a secret that, well, really isn’t a secret.

So there you have it.

Earl Whitaker, in fact, is a longtime Pastor and he’s pretty darn good and resourceful one, considering his wife has steadfastly obeyed the voice of God by composing a book that depicts this very subject and lifestyle.

Dr. Whitaker is the mastermind behind “I’m Sleeping With The Pastor!” an intriguing, thought-provoking published document that is widely known as a success kit for Pastors’ wives and those who love them.

“I lay in bed for another two hours writing down our thoughts as the Holy Spirit gave us this book,” said Dr. Whitaker, whose husband is also credited with having assembled several chapters in her book.

REPRESENTING PHILLY WELL — Dr. Whitaker emphasized that part of her purpose for her book is to provide pastors insight and understanding as it pertains to the issues and subjects their wives often face in their unique roles. A native of Chester, Pennsylvania — but was raised in Philadelphia — Dr. Whitaker boasts more than two decades as a Pastor’s wife. In addition, she is a longtime licensed evangelist and is the founding president of Ministers of the Heart, Incorporated, which is an Interdenominational Fellowship Of Female Ministers.

When asked what is the single, most underlying reason she chose to produce such a book, Dr. Whitaker said, “Even though being a pastor’s wife is a high calling, I’m often torn by the responsibilities and expectations that I and others have of me. I know I’m not alone, so I wanted to provide other pastor’s wife with a tool kit to thrive in their high calling — especially new pastor’s wives.”

Most importantly, Dr. Whitaker emphasized that part of her purpose for her book is to provide pastors some insight and understanding, particularly as it pertains to the issues their wives often face in their unique roles.

A native of Chester, Pennsylvania — but was raised in Philadelphia — Dr. Whitaker boasts more than two decades as a Pastor’s wife.
