DALLAS — During an exclusive weekend interview, Tonya Monroe paused momentarily to assess the familiar Biblical passage that is Psalm 139:14.
It reads: I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
Said Monroe in response to the inspiring passage when it was brought to her attention: “I know about that scripture. The enemy messes with me sometimes I must admit. But I know Whose I am in Christ and I know the plans God has for me.”
And just like, the woman who doesn’t shy away from the notion that she no longer lives in fear or shame wasted little time proclaiming victory over her life.
Once again.
Today, unlike never before, Monroe undoubtedly is a Godly woman on the move in that she aspires daily to maximize her fullest God-given potential, all while fortifying her purpose by advancing His kingdom in the process.
“I finally accepted and understand what my gift is that was designated to me by the Holy Spirit,” Monroe, during an interview with Making Headline News, said while referencing 1 Corinthians 12.
To her credit, coupled with the divine calling upon her life, Monroe — who has been spiritually discharged from a stormy pass that was mired by an abusive relationship and a flurry of turmoil — has answered her God-mandated calling with such great authority.
A native of Dallas, Monroe, 46, is Founder and CEO of D.I.V.A., a Christian-based empowerment organization in which Monroe’s primary emphasis as a Certified Christian Motivational Speaker is to empower woman to be successful leaders in their community.
In addition, what is so intriguing about D.I.V.A. — which stands for Divine-Inspiration-Victorious-Affirmation — is that because of Monroe’s steadfast enthusiasm, coupled with her passion for inspiring people to view life and past hardships from God’s perspective, this thriving, progressive woman of immense faith is starting to witness her destiny unfold right before her very eyes.
How else to explain the slew of speaking engagements that are expected to add to what is shaping up to be a busy itinerary for this successful Christian-oriented diva of a life coach?
“I encourage women to take the blinders off and become real with God about past hurts, spiritual warfare against women, and walking in victory while facing adversity,” Monroe, a Sam Houston High School alum (in Arlington, Texas) explained.
Women electing to unmask their disastrous, challenging, and dark pass are what essentially headlines Monroe’s mission for starting her empowerment organization.
“(My mission) is for women to be victorious in every facet of their life spiritually, professionally, and emotionally,” Monroe said.
A thriving, awe-inspiring organization that is a little more than two years removed since its inception, Monroe admittedly had no idea that all along, even while enduring arguably the most troublesome and trying times of her life, God was strategically positioning and equipping and molding her spiritually for a time such as now.

“God has been using me for a while, I just didn’t know it,” said Monroe, who currently works for Vizient, Inc., the nation’s largest member-owned health care services company that’s located in nearby Irving, Texas.
And because God has set this remarkably beautiful woman of color aside for His use, she labels it a foregone conclusion to esteem others daily highly than herself, as God encourages us through the Apostle Paul in Philippians 2:3.
“It’s imperative that I esteem and inspire others daily because God does it for me daily,” Monroe said while displaying her signature smile. “As a servant of God, I live my life according to his word. I have joy because I don’t live under the yokes of slavery from my past, shame for being in an abusive relationship, anger for allowing it to happen, guilt for thinking I brought the abuse on myself, and unforgiveness of the person who abused me. (All of that) no longer haunt nor hurt my spirit. God showed me how He views me and told me that I was His diva…a Divine Inspiration Victorious Affirmation of Him.”
Well, here she is, back and better and spiritually mature unlike never before.
