Just recently, Betty Speaks went on and on about how God has strategically equipped and empowered her and, most of all, set her aside for His use.
In listening heedfully to her, it won’t take very long to understand why.
“God left the scars as a reminder to never forget the pain and desolation of my preceding life so I would never forget the spiritual and emotional struggles that allowed me to become the person He longed for me to grow into,” Speaks told Making Headline News during an exclusive interview. “Moreover, I am no longer held captive by the wrong doings or mistreatment of others.”
To grasp a thorough understanding of why Speaks — the director of operations and chief executive officer of for Speaks Services At Betty Speak — a Greenville, South Carolina Christian-based organization that is geared largely toward enhancing others to maximize their fullest potential with God, their Helper, leading the way — is appreciate and grateful that God is steadfastly using her in ways unimaginable, look no further than the tumultuous, seemingly insurmountable hurdles about which she had to clear.
For starters, Speaks recalls like yesterday how she sensed that her past struggles and hardships were seemingly too much to bear. So much, in fact, that she once found herself contemplating suicide.
Yep, she sure did.
“He delivered me from thoughts of suicide after existing in a perplex world filled with rejection, depression, anxiety, accusations, weariness, tragedy, terrorism, infidelity, hatred, and dishonesty,” Speaks explained. “He taught me how to be a better person by staying in His presence.”
While becoming solely dependent and reliant on God to provide for her the spiritual solace and relief she so desperately sought during arguably the darkest hours of her life, it was, by all accounts, due in large part to Speaks’ unwavering faith that — for a lack of better words — spoke up for her when it matter most.
“His existence in my life gave me renewed hope for a glorious future,” Speaks said. “However, He left the scars from childhood trauma, military trauma, marriage trauma, and relationships to remind me of what I had endured.”
Widely known as also as a Transformational Life Coach and Intentional Leadership Educator, Speaks is a retired military veteran, the overseer of the Godhead and Second Chance Ministries, and her solid community involvement includes serving as a group leader for Redemption World Outreach Marketing Business Builder.
In addition, she’s also known as a global network marketer, an accomplished author, and is popularly known as a financial guru, according to her extensive profile at www.linkedin.com.
A native of Providence, Rhode Island, Speaks is the mastermind by the CD entitled, “A Life Change Now,” a spiritual-enhancing musical project that has touched the lives mightily of countless people throughout the world.
For what it’s worth, Speaks deemed it rather awe-inspiring when asked to assess from where God has brought her and positioned her for a time such as time whereby she has been afforded the golden opportunity to impact so many lives through her notable organization and ministry.
“Being that I am constantly in His presence and His Mercy and faithfulness, puts me at ease knowing that He fulfills me with a Kingdom Word when a worldly word or action attempts to distract me,” Speaks, a former Senior Logistician for the United States Army, said.
Today, Speaks acknowledged it is due in large part to her flourishing ministry and obedience to God that she deems it especially essential to aid others to diligently seek Him when faced with adversity, sometimes even from the standpoint of what it means to be a good steward.
“I am intentionally passionate with helping others establish themselves and their generational wealth via multiple streams of income while securing their kingdom endeavors,” Speaks said.
While her current organization is powered by Betty Speaks Life Ministry, Speaks has strong ties to the New Britten, Connecticut-based Another Chance Church that was establishment in October 2008 by Bishop Dr. Allen B. Wilkins.
To her credit, her experience, coupled with her notable contributions to the Body of Christ, have given way to a compelling itinerary for Speaks, who’s scheduled for several book signings — most notably in London next month.
Also, she will be the featured speaker in Kansas in September during a Pastoral Celebration at a date to be announced, and she will be the featured speaker during an event on Oct 8 in New Britten, Connecticut.
In assessing the overall landscape of her life, there’s no doubt that Speaks is allowing her spiritual gifts to, you know, speak up for her.

“(God) brought healing and restoration to my heart,” Speaks said. “He delivered me from the annoyance and bitterness and uncertainty that were plaguing me as a child onto my adulthood.”
Look at her today, living and dwelling on the larger side of God.
Now we know why.
