Just after midday on Thursday, Thelma Sample took to her Facebook page.
As usual, the Houston-area businesswoman wasted little time taking inventory of her life, all while encouraging the masses in the process.
Said Sample in an awe-inspiring, thought-provoking post:
I SURVIVED because the fire inside of me was greater than the fire around me! I was built from the flames. I beat the statistics because I BELIEVED IN ME.
All things considered and much to her delight, if, by chance, Sample was bragging about what undoubtedly has become sustained success for this accomplished entrepreneur, her immeasurable work ethic is such that she’s certainly earned the right to.
Aside from being a popular Texas businesswoman as owner and of Success Tax Relief, Sample is widely known as an Amazon Bestselling Author, courtesy of her work through “Ignite Your Life,” a book she co-authored with renowned Public Speaker and Sales Trainer and International Bestselling Author, Brian Tracy.

A book that made its much-anticipated presence on the market in 2016, Sample’s “Ignite Your Life” is an effective, informative written document exclusively for entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners, as well as for business-minded individuals who are ready to set high achieving goals, dream bigger, and dig deeper to reach them today, she emphasized.
“It is about developing a plan of action and taking massive action today,” Sample, 42, told Making Headline News during an exclusive interview this week. I wrote the book in 2016 along with other leading expert entrepreneurs.”
As a result to what has emerged as one of the most sought-after entrepreneurship books of this area, Tracy eventually witnessed his name be thrust on the Amazon Bestseller’s list, while both he and Sample wound up being inducted to the National Academy of Bestselling Authors.
In addition, she was the beneficiary of a Quilly Award the same year of the release of “Ignite Your Life,” which can be purchased at authorthelmasample.com. More than anything, that her mother had recently passed away following her battle with cancer was arguably the biggest reason Sample deemed it essential to compose such a compelling book for the ages.
Given the overwhelming reaction to “Ignite Your Life,” surely, it’s safe to assume that her beloved mom is peeping through the clouds above and gazing down at her gifted and talented daughter, all while nodding her head in approval in the process.
Interestingly, Sample’s immeasurable body of work, particularly by way of her relatively new book, has grasped the attention of her reading audience, as evidenced by one of her social media followers earlier this week.
Said Harrisburg, Pennsylvania’s Brian Stennett of Brian Stennett Insurance Agency And SNS Rentals LLC in a Facebook post on Sample’s timeline:
If you are not following my friend and fellow bestselling author Thelma Sample, then you need to re-evaluate your goals for 2018 and beyond!
To her distinctly unique credit, that has practically been the sentiments echoed by countless of individuals across the country, particularly when Sample emerges as the center of conversation.
Described by her peers as a humble servant of God, this proud graduate of La Porte High School — housed on the Sunnyside South Side of Houston, she points out — is a devoted and proud mother and a well-established business owner, whose best and brightest days are well ahead of her.
So you might as well get used to hearing her name.
Looking ahead, Sample will be afforded the golden opportunities to promote her book during several upcoming events.
From June 7-10, she will be a sponsor at the Texas Black Expo.
The following month, she will host what is known as an Author’s Showcase at Essence Festival in New Orleans. Interestingly, she will be a speaker at Harvard University later that month during its the Million Dollar Business Accelerator Forum, during which she will speak from the subject, “Working The Journey.”
“We cannot control the storms of life, just how we respond to them. That’s where your strength lies…in your struggles.” Sample said.
Also, in September, Sample will be speaking at the Texas Black Women Expo in Houston.
Besides being an author and businesswoman, Sample is a spoken word artist, having begun writing poetry at the age of six, a trend that had ultimately given way to her performing on stage for the first time when she was 12.
“Follow me on (Facebook) and (Instagram), where each day, I inspire you to remember the dreams you had at six years old, and write your goals out, and stare at them for five minutes a day, and live your best life out loud,” Sample said.
Sounding very much like the true inspiration — and survivor — for which she is widely known.
