“I have been writing since I was four years old,” Anderson told Making Headline News this week. “I love to write and would write all over the wall and paper and anything that I could write on. My dad bought me a chalkboard. I understood that I was called to write about 10 years ago.”
For Anderson, a native of Houston, she has gone to great lengths to fully embrace the calling for which she was created, particularly through the ever-so-competitive world of authorship.
That’s because Anderson has written seven books to date, including three children’s books within the past five years.
“I chose to produce the books, because I believed that I was called to do so,” Anderson said.
A devout woman of faith whose immeasurable gifts as an accomplished writer have given way to her becoming a beacon of light in the Body of Christ, Anderson is especially known for having composed two notable books entitled, The Power, The Prayer, And The Praise and Taste And See: Poetry For The Soul.
Anderson’s Taste And See: Poetry For The Soul was officially released in 2015 and is a 122-page written document that is comprised of a collection of poems dealing with life’s assortment of challenges and disruptions.

In this book, each poem is accompanied by scripture, which is a reflection page for journaling and daily meditation, according to a detailed description of Anderson’s book at Amazon.com.
“Taste And See Poetry For The Soul will help you indulge in the fruits of the spirit,” said a spokesperson for Anderson’s book at Amazon.com. “You’ll experience peace, joy, longsuffering, gentleness, wisdom, prosperity, forgiveness, and so much more.”
As for Anderson’s The Power, The Prayer, And The Praise, this particular book had been in the making for about the last five years, she acknowledged.
“When I look back at my notes, I have many books inside of me, but God always reveals to me when it is time to release the next book,” said Anderson, who finally witnessed the much-anticipated release of The Power, The Prayer, And The Praise earlier this year. “I am a believer and a minister of the gospel and it’s amazing how God reveals Himself through daily devotion, prayer, and meditation.”
An authorship tenure that dates back to 2013, Anderson is the mastermind behind five other books:

What God Says About Me, which was released in 2013
I Think Myself Happy, The Happy Book, which was released in 2013.
God’s Creation I Can See, released in 2014
My Mommy, Cancer, And Me, released in 2016 and,
The King’s Kid’s Prayer Book, which hit the market in 2018.
As for The Power, The Prayer, And The Praise, Anderson emphasizes that while there is power in the word of God, the word must be spoken by a believer.
“When you speak the word and believe that God heard you and is a God that answers, you will see results based on the level of your faith,” Anderson explained. “The book is filled with scriptures on power, prayer, and praise, along with proclamations that you can say. It is a devotional with 31 days and bonus prayers in the back. There is power in the word of God.”
As for Taste and See: Poetry For The Soul- Poems, a book that is saturated with the word of God, Anderson acknowledged that while we are believing for a breakthrough from Almighty God, we can find comfort in poetry for hope, peace, love, and longsuffering, among other things.
“Come and dine with me and experience victory in the midst of a difficult situation,” Anderson said.
As expected, the feedback since her books’ release has been favorable.
“I have received several positive, divine and heartwarming remarks about both books,” Anderson said. “The books have blessed me. I use the books for daily devotional. I have used the books for my ladies meetings.”
This weekend will be no exception for Anderson when she partakes in an area book signing at the Spring Hill Marriott in downtown Houston July 7-9.
“I am anointed and appointed for such a time as this,” Anderson said of her well-publicized authorship tenure. “God has done great things in my life. I grew up in a family where we had love, discipline, joy, laughter and peace. My daddy picked cotton as a young man and worked his way up to a fence contractor and work so hard — even when he was not feeling well — and gave it all that he had. My mother was a nurse assistant and a medication aide, but look what the Lord has done with a girl that was born and had less than zero.”
By and large, amongst the things about which Anderson doesn’t take lightly through her gifts as an author is just how far from where God has brought her.
“He brought me to new levels,” said Anderson, a woman of many hats who’s widely known also as a minister, intercessor, conference speaker, entrepreneur, and spiritual leader, just to name a few. “I was determined to become the best that I could be. I worked my way through life, from my teenage years to adulthood. I am a wife, mother, registered nurse, and nurse leader. I have an MBA and there is no telling what else God has in store for me and for those that love Him.”
