A wife of noble character who can find; she is worth far more than rubies; Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value; She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. (Proverbs 31:10-12 NIV)
GOD’S LEADING LADY
DALLAS — Jennifer L. Jones fielded the question as if she expected it.
“No…and never wanted to be because I’ve seen the good, bad and ugly,” Jones, during a recent interview with Making Headline News, said, when asked if she ever sensed while growing up in the church, she would become a First Lady.
Now that the unthinkable had unmistakably transpired nearly a decade ago, Jones doesn’t shy away from the notion that having been anointed as her church’s most celebrated woman, by all accounts, is a God-orchestrated thing of beauty.
In a nutshell, she’s thoroughly convinced this illustrious assignment undoubtedly is the Lord’s doing, and it’s marvelous in her eyes.

“When I married my husband, I never dreamt he’d be a preacher, and certainly wasn’t expecting to be where God has catapulted him to, but I’m embracing this unexpected turn of events,” Jones said.
Suitably known as Elect Lady Jones, the 44-year-old native of Terrell, Texas — a rural Kaufman County establishment that is approximately 32 miles east of Dallas and is comprised of roughly 15,816 residents, according to the latest U. S. census — would be the first to emphasize that being the First Lady of New Creation Fellowship Church and the beloved companion to NCF Senior Pastor Charles Jones has far more to do with extending customary handshakes, hugs and kisses, as well as honoring periodic prayer requests by the membership.
Rather, Elect Lady Jones steadfastly acknowledged that her primary ambition as a featured leader for NCF is centered largely on the very thing Christ commands His church to do — exemplify a servant’s heart.
“I love to serve,” Elect Lady Jones says without hesitation. “This is not an ordinary church. It’s family. I feel that if you serve as a First Lady, you have genuine influence. It’s not just a position. Labor isn’t pretty, but what manifests is worth the push.”
Much to her delight, Elect Lady Jones, along with her husband, will become the beneficiaries of being worthy of double honor when New Creation Fellowship commemorates them during the Ninth Pastor and Wife Anniversary Sunday, July 19 at 10 a.m. CST in a celebration that will stream live via Facebook.
Located at 2126 Amanda Avenue, New Creation Fellowship has become a fixture in the Fort Worth community, particularly as a thriving, progressive church by which God is manifesting Himself through the evidence of signs, wonders, and rapid ministry growth, according to a detailed introduction at http://www.ncfcogic.org/home.html.
To her distinctly unique credit, Elect Lady Jones has contributed mightily to the immeasurable strides NCF has made since its ceremonious inception in 2011.
A longtime registered nurse who is an alumna of Texas Christian University — she holds of Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing — Elect Lady Jones was raised in a Christian-oriented environment during which her grandmother is responsible for having instilled in her an assortment of life-altering lessons.
“Growing up, watching my grandmother, I never knew God was preparing me for ministry, even though I had no desire to be in this place,” Elect Lady Jones explained. “When Pastor (Jones) started preaching, the church began to push me out front. I was nervous and fearful, declined most invitations to speak, and then God had to deal with me through a heart condition.”
As Elect Lady Jones recalls, it was the ideal “heart condition” by which she was stricken that essentially fueled her desire to go diligently after God’s own heart.
Hampered by what is known as abnormal heart arrhythmias — which occurs when the electrical impulses that coordinate one’s heartbeats don’t work properly, thus causing the heart to beat too fast, too slow or irregularly — Elect Lady Jones, at one point during her unlikely condition, “felt I was dying,” she recalls.
Even while enduring arguably the most formidable hurdle of her life, Elect Lady Jones subsequently discovered that God had other plans — plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her hope and a future.
In that order.
“While on my bed of affliction and watching God perform a notable miracle, the Holy Ghost ministered to me and let me know that I would no longer be bound by fear,” Elect Lady Jones said. “I’ve been running for God ever since.”
So has Pastor Jones, her husband of 20-plus years whom, as Elect Lady Jones said, has greatly enhanced her zealous passion for leading God’s people.
“He pushes me and as my leader, he sees so much in me and allows me to co-labor, knowing I always have the best interest of the ministry in mind,” Elect Lady Jones said. “I see his vision and, because I’m his helpmeet, I stand on the front lines with him. We cover one another. I understand that his ministry is in high demand and his expectation for NCF is great, and so we work diligently to facilitate the vision, while also maintaining balance at home. It gets crazy at times, and so I often allow him to do ministry while I do home.”
For Pastor Jones, a former TCU football player, his rise to achieving respectable Pastoral success has surfaced amid humble beginnings. Along with the tireless support of his congregation, Pastor Jones credits his wife and the couple’s five daughters for helping NCF flourish to what it has become today — a Fort Worth beacon of light.
Nine years and counting.
“My wife and children have been awesome supporters of the ministry,” Pastor Jones told Making Headline News during a December 2019 interview. “It can be a burden at times because they have to share me with so many people, but we’ve learned to balance well over the years. Elect Lady Jones has been very instrumental and an intricate part of what we’ve accomplished. She is a phenomenal visionary and has an eye for development and design. Everything you see, walking into our ministry, she designed it. She took an old school Baptist church and modernized it.”
So much for fielding that question as if she expected it.
All that matters now, quite frankly, is that Elect Lady Jones has blossomed masterfully in her God-mandated calling as the NCF’s most celebrated woman, something by which she doesn’t merely take lightly.
Besides, this is all the Lord’s doing, and it’s marvelous in her eyes.
“It is important to me that my life mirrors Christ,” Elect Lady Jones said. “To see how young and seasoned ladies gravitate to me is amazing. I’ve seen souls revived and resuscitated through women’s ministry and it’s an incredible feeling to watch their continual growth in Christ. I’m accessible and down to earth.
“I work to speak life into all I encounter, build up, and encourage our ladies. I often see what they don’t see in themselves and I poke at it until that greatness comes forth. We came to Fort Worth to help the lost and to rebuild those who were torn down, (endured) church hurt and brokeness. I absolutely love this church.”
Without question, NCF’s sentiments are mutual.
