‘ENOUGH IS ENOUGH’ 

Say what you want.

But Peter W. Sherrill strongly believes he’s got a real shot at pulling off the proverbial unthinkable.

“I feel great, because there are people who see and believe that this is the real opportunity for change that we have been fighting for ever since Dr. (Martin Luther) King,” Sherrill said.

The change to which Sherrill is alluding is one he senses could land him at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Yep. You’ve read that correctly.

During an exclusive interview this week with Making Headline News from Mount Vernon, New York, Sherrill announced his bid to unseat incumbent Donald Trump for the Office of The President of the United States.

Having adopted the catchphrase, A Real Alternative FOR AMERICA, Sherrill has entered the presidential race as a write-in candidate and, given the impulsiveness he’s steadfastly exemplified of late, this native New Yorker admittedly feels good about his chances of pulling off a massive upset for the ages.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3.

Generally, most states allow individuals to write in votes for president, U.S. senator, and U.S. representative. They may also allow write-in votes for governor and other state offices, according to https://www.usa.gov/.

After a term in which Trump’s job approval rating reportedly has steadily plummeted to as low as 38 percent in recent months, Sherrill believes he possesses the essential components to capture the White House.

“Success is never giving up on your dreams or your goals and objectives,” Sherrill said. “Success is fighting with every ounce of courage you have for what’s right when all odds are against you. Success is being able to give of yourself and sacrifice for the greater good of humanity. Success is being able to stand proud for what you believe. Success is being an example of light for those who only see darkness.”

Considering the nation has endured its share of “darkness,” amid the ongoing social injustice issues, coupled with the unprecedented coronavirus outbreak, Sherrill — like the first African American to assume the presidency of the United States — is poised to bring about change.

For what it’s worth, he emphasized now is the time for Americans to seriously consider the right alternative.

A campaign that is powered by the slogan, A Real Alternative FOR AMERICA, Sherrill’s disclosed his notable policies, which includes implementing the following:

• Social Justice and Criminal Justice Reform
• Liberty and Justice for All
• Economic Reform
• No more bailouts for Wall Street Education Reform
• Breaking the High School to Prison Pipeline
• Free Healthcare for Seniors
• No more 80/20 Veterans
• No Homeless or Unemployed Veteran in my Administration and,
• Building State of the Art Boys and Girls Clubs instead of State-of-the-Art Prisons

“Enough is enough,” said Sherrill, appropriately introducing yet another slogan he customarily uses in his fervent quest to win the White House. “Believe it or not, there were people in my own family that said I would never amount to anything. It was a great pleasure to invite that family member to my graduation for my Bachelor of Science Degree. Of course, they declined, but silently, it made my mother very proud.”

A 1975 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, Sherill was a double major at Jacksonville University, where he earned Economics/Management (while minoring in Psychology/Sociology) degrees in 1980. Consequently, he earned a Master’s in Public Administration from The College of New Rochelle, then garnered an Advanced Certification in Communications in 2018.

Interestingly, Sherrill has extensive training with Homeland Security in which he ultimately had become a Certified Trainer for Weapons of Mass Destruction and as a Certified Incident Commander.

An engaged father of two college students, Sherrill is the great, great grandson of former slaves from the brutal cotton fields of Eutawville, South Carolina.

When asked to finish this sentence: “If Peter W. Sherrill wins this election,” Sherrill, without hesitation, replied:

“The sentence should read, ‘When Peter W. Sherrill wins this election.’ America will be a leader in the world for righteousness, freedom and democracy, And ‘God Bless America’ will have real meaning again.”

Amongst the reasons of that he strongly believes he’s got a real shot at pulling off the proverbial unthinkable — much like he did when he silenced those who said he would never amount to anything.
