A TRUE INSPIRATION
Dr. Marcea Burnette Whitaker, MD was only being honest, was only being as transparent as she could about some of the dreaded experiences that transpired, particularly during the adolescent stage of her life.
“I kept a lot of things in during my young — and older — life,” Dr. Whitaker recalls. “If I had had a safe consistent place to share and talk through where I was, I would have made different decisions. My personal mission is to be the coach I needed for most of my life.”

An accomplished internal medicine physician who’s also an author and speaker, Dr. Whitaker’s rise to success in her chosen profession comes amid humble beginnings.

Having witnessed her featured ventures come full circle in 2019, Dr. Whitaker has become a fixture for helping professional women break out of what she calls “their personal prison” so they can discover who they are, decide what they want, and deliver on their destiny.
Generally, her “signature programs” are the New Beginnings venture and the 12-Month Mastermind Positioned & Powerful, whereby clients strategically learn what she deems “The Mind, The Method, and The Mastery,” particularly as it relates to positioning for the “best year of their lives,” she acknowledged.
A native of Bowie, Maryland, Dr. Whitaker, 52, has been recognized by USA Today as a “Top Entrepreneur To Watch.” She has also been featured in Forbes, Kivo Daily and Speakers Magazine.
Interestingly enough, she has emerged as a professional speaker, a trend that has afforded her the golden opportunity to speak on leadership and women’s empowerment.
“I believe that we are our own X-Factor,” Dr. Whitaker told MHN. “I love reaching women and helping them attain what they have been struggling to achieve on their own for years and years: self-confidence, self-validation, a new career, better relationships, boundaries, etc.”
Continued Dr. Whitaker: “Medical school was hard. Marriage was hard. But I always knew there was more. Once I found my passion of coaching, it was like a whole new world opened up. The journey has been non-linear, but definitely worth it.”
A featured business endeavor that customarily services “professional women over 40 years,” Dr. Whitaker doesn’t shy away from the notion that she especially has a heart for younger women and girls. Amongst the reasons of that her Woman 2 Woman organization is a rising boot camp geared largely towards college and post-college age groups.

Having put her immeasurable gifts on display in such establishments as Maryland, California, Texas, Georgia and, most recently, Michigan, Dr. Whitaker is starting to attract an international presence through her notable endeavors, most notably in Canada and Newfoundland.
“By far, my parents have inspired me to work hard, to believe in your skills and talents, and (they’ve reminded me that), ‘You can do anything you put your mind to.’ They were killed in car accident and that was major defining moment in my life. I have had two coaches that have been instrumental in my journey.
“Dr. Sonja Stribling is my life and business strategist and my friend. Her guidance and insight have been priceless as I built my business. My corporate coach, Dr. Shawn Fair, is a master speaking and development coach. He is the visionary of the Leadership Experience tour, which has helped me define my message and platform and I am forever grateful.”

Dr. Whitaker’s itinerary includes hosting the FLOW In Your Flaw Virtual Summit, which will take place July 9, and the From Flawed To Fabulous Boot Camp, scheduled for July 20-22.
In addition, she will appear at the Girl Bosses In The Building, an empowerment event for CEO’s, entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs that is scheduled to take place in November.
