And the LORD said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name. (Exodus 33:17 KJV)
KINGDOM WORK
DALLAS — What a difference a few text messages and emails could make in the lives of those who are in dire need of some much-needed encouragement.
No one understands this notion more than Gina Fernandez Beverly whom, to her credit, diligently exercised this trend nearly a decade and a half or so ago.
“Approximately 14 years ago, I began to send out encouraging texts and emails to my friends and family,” Beverly told Making Headline News this week. “The word spread.”
So much so that once her spiritual leader had fielded word of Beverly’s favorable deed that essentially is synonymous to the familiar Biblical passage that is Ephesians 2:3, he subsequently suggested she do more with it, particularly as it pertains to advancing the kingdom.
“One day I sent the text to my Pastor, and after a few months, he encouraged me to write a book on what I was texting and emailing to everyone,” Beverly recalled.

Thank God she appropriately heeded the notable advice of God’s spokesperson, considering Beverly has managed to assemble not one, but two spiritually-empowering books as a result to what undoubtedly has evolved into a flourishing ministry, of sorts.
Beverly’s pair of awe-inspiring written works: “Do You Know Who You Are And What You Are Entitled Too?” and “Dysfunction Breeds Distorted Vision.”
For Beverly, a Kingsland, Georgia-based author who is a native of New Orleans, her books have emerged amid an assortment of personal life experiences.
“Throughout my life, I have had struggles with low self-esteem and self-worth,” Beverly said. “My reason for writing the books is to encourage others struggling with low self-esteem and self-worth.”

Having spent 22 years in the United States Naval Academy before her ceremonious retirement in 2008, Beverly began assembling “Do You Know Who You Are and What You Are Entitled To?” in June 2016 and “Dysfunction Breeds Distorted Vision” in May 2018.
Her initial project has been widely deemed an “inspirational, empowering, uplifting, and informational” book by a majority of Beverly’s reading audience according to an introduction of this written document at Amazon.com.
As for “Dysfunction Breeds Distorted Vision,” meanwhile, the overall reaction has essential been the same, considering Beverly’s readers have described this project as a “motivational, empowerment, and encouraging” one to anyone who has had or is currently having a dysfunctional or distorted vision of who they are, as cited at Amazon.com.
As for the divine message she aspires to send to her audience through her books, Beverly emphasized, among other things, that it starts with one’s truth.
“Always stay encouraged,” Beverly said. “Learn to empower yourself and know and live your truth. Your truth is your truth, and never compare yourself to anyone else.”
A pair of books that have generated an array of favorable feedback — “These books have been empowering and encouraging,” this author said — Beverly is thoroughly convinced that her latest works are a part of the purpose for which God has created her.
“My flaws, mistakes, and internal fights I have had with myself are what the Lord used to help others,” said Beverly, adding that future books are forthcoming once she completes her advanced education.
Beverly is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling at Luther Rice Seminary and Bible College.
“I have had several speaking engagements,” Beverly said of her books. “My current focus is on completing school.”
A former Navy Chief Petty Officer ITC(SW), Beverly is grateful of the fact that God has strategically assigned her through her gifts as an author to empower and advance the kingdom, most notably during a time in which the people need it the most.
“One of my favorite scriptures is Exodus 33:17: And the Lord said to Moses, (your name goes here), ‘This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name,’” Beverly said.
Passing along some words of encouragement.
Once again.
Yep. What a difference a few text messages and emails have made.
