Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead; I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14 NIV)
SEASON OF THE REBIRTH
Just after 5 a.m. EST Wednesday morning, Karen McMillan had become greatly inspired to count her blessings.
Because of whom she is and because of where God is taking her, she had every reason to consider it a foregone conclusion to pause and take inventory of her life.
Said McMillan in a Facebook post before her nearly 2,300 followers:
“I’ve been a successful entrepreneur for over 15 years. God definitely has His hand on my business! I often sit back and wonder why, but I realized when you truly walk in your purpose that’s how it supposed to be, especially when doing what you were called to do!”
Owner of a Charlotte, North Carolina-area daycare facility, McMillan doesn’t shy away from the notion that she’s not only exemplifying what she deems “my gift and passion” for children, but she’s essentially savoring the best of both worlds as an accomplished author.

McMillan is the author of two remarkably compelling books, both of which release dates are separated by roughly eight months.
In May 2019, she made her authorship debut with the much-anticipated release of Moving Forward While Letting Go.
An awe-inspiring written work that is comprised of 119 pages in length, McMillan’s Moving Forward While Letting Go is widely regarded as a powerfully written true story of triumph and success in the face of what this writer labels “the unthinkable,” as mentioned in a detailed introduction at Amazon.com.
“From abuse, to the woes of failed relationships, Author Karen D. McMillan is leaving no stone unturned,” said an Amazon spokesperson for McMillan’s Moving Forward While Letting Go. “Written from a place of transparency, each page is crafted to give the reader a front row seat to witness survival and the process of overcoming adversity in action.”
Interestingly and to her credit, McMillian vividly shares her truth, coupled with what she describes as “a refreshing dose of entertaining realness.”
Popularly known as “The Soul Coach,” McMillan has made immeasurable strides as a proverbial author-turned-life coach, one who customarily aims to encourage her clients to overcome any obstacle life throws their way.
For what it’s worth, this is done by sharing her memorable journey, particularly those life-altering experiences that, in turn, have given way to this beloved author enlightening her reading audience “that nothing can stop a person who is determined to succeed in life.”
And then there is Single Yet Satisfied, McMillan’s sophomore project that was officially released in February 2020.
A spiritually-empowering written document that needed just 64 pages to complete, McMillan’s Single Yet Satisfied is accompanied by a rather forthright reminder.
That is, “Being single is not a death sentence,” according to a spokesperson for McMillan’s latest book at Amazon.com.
Also, in this intriguing and attention-grabbing book, McMillan deems it essential to take her readers on a memorable, adventurous ride through her past, one that depicts how she had ultimately become single, all the while clinging to a real sense of satisfaction in the process.
“You will want to read this simple, yet impactful masterpiece again and again,” according to an Amazon spokesperson for McMillan’s Single Yet Satisfied. “(This book) will tug on the heart string of readers across the globe. This is one book you will want to share with all of your single friends and family.”
For McMillan, she sensed that delving off into the world of authorship has aligned with her divine purpose, particularly since the death of her mother 16 years ago.
“The reason I chose to move forward and write my book is because I never had the opportunity to tell my mom before her passing what happened,” said McMillan, recalling the disheartening developments that fueled her desire to compose her first book. “And I needed to release my pain, so I started writing.”

Generally, McMillan’s published projects emerged amid a rash of unfavorable situations and circumstances, she recalls.
“I started writing my first book while going through a trouble breakup, living at my aunt’s house in Winston Salem (North Carolina),” she said,” and my second book after experiencing a beautiful moment being single.”
As for the divine message she aspires to send to her reading audience through her books, McMillan, the owner of Charlotte’s Touched By An Angel Family Childcare for the past 15 years, said:
“Throughout any situation, always remember your journey isn’t just for you. We go through to pull others out.”
Much to her delight, the feedback since the release of McMillan’s books has been overwhelmingly favorable, as expected.
“Overall, my feedback has been positive and I’ve helped so many people confront the very thing that caused them to stay stagnant and afraid to move forward while letting go of their past, pain, and people,” said McMillan, who has been invited to conduct speaking engagements and be apart of a panel to share her assortment of testimonies that have greatly shaped her life.
Also, McMillan announced that plans are currently in the works to compose an informative journal that will complement her debut written work.
