‘YOUR VOTE MATTERS IN 2020!‘
DALLAS — Two of Dallas/Fort Worth’s most popular radio stations will host a pivotal virtual town hall this weekend during which the importance of voting will be discussed.
On Sunday, July 26, Dallas’ 97.9 The Beat, in conjunction with Majic 94.5, will host what is known as One Vote: The Reset, a virtual assembly that will be comprised of four of the area’s most prominent city and civic leaders, each of whom will strategically address a number of pertinent topics pertaining to voting.
Powered by the slogan, “Your Vote Matters In 2020,” the virtual town hall will air at 6 p.m. CST and will stream live via Facebook.

An event that will be hosted by Jazze Radio-Chica, the Community Affairs Director and on-air personality for Radio One Dallas — which is comprised of 97.9 The Beat and Majic 94.5 — local leaders will collectively discuss what they describe as the acceptable steps on how, when and where to vote.
“We will discuss the importance of voting and why this election is the most important election in our lives,” Jazze Radio-Chica told Making Headline News this week. “We will also discuss other community issues, such as kids going back to school in the fall and the coronavirus.”
The One Vote: The Reset virtual panel will include Marc Veasey, Congressman for the 33rd Congressional District, Dr. Frederick Haynes III, Senior Pastor of the historic Friendship West Baptist Church, Councilman Casey Thomas of Dallas’ District 3, and Michelle Williams, Executive Director of the Dallas Entrepreneurial Center at Redbird.
