I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13 KJV)
ALL IN GOD’S PLAN
Whomever counted Tiesha N. Bryant out obviously can’t count.
Consider, for instance, when Bryant had surprisingly become pregnant at the tender age of 13.
“Being a teen mom was never my dream, but it was definitely my reality,” Bryant, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that have contributed mightily to her having made her authorship debut. “Pregnant at 13, mom at 14.”
For Bryant, while becoming a teenage mom undoubtedly brought to her life an array of challenges and obstacles, she was determined to make good of a sometimes discomforting, seemingly insurmountable, situation.
“I did it though with three simple steps,” Bryant said of her journey as a teenage mother. “I chose resiliency over regret, and I’m okay with being imperfectly perfect. As parents, it’s time we start taking care of ourselves and focus on us the parent in order to be successful at parenting.”

To her distinctly unique credit, Bryant eloquently recalls her immeasurable journey as a teenage mom in Imperfectly Perfect: Three Steps On The Parenthood Journey, her newly-assembled and awe-inspiring written work that made its official release on April 29, 2020.
A book Bryant needed somewhere in the neighborhood of approximately one month to produce — she began composing it in early April and was finished by month’s end — Imperfectly Perfect: Three Steps On The Parenthood Journey is widely regarded as an interactive book, one that’s filled with pertinent resources and information whether you’re the parent of a newborn, toddler, or for those who are parents of an “active almost first grader or children entering those terrific teen years,” according to a detailed synopsis of Bryant’s book at Amazon.com.
“Moms and dads alike can benefit from this book,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Bryant’s book. “Grab a pen and get ready to embrace being your best, imperfectly perfect parent.”
Bryant’s initial published work, Imperfectly Perfect: Three Steps On The Parenthood Journey is accompanied by Imperfectly Perfect Three Steps On The Parenthood Journey Curriculum.
A native of Pittsview, Alabama — a Russell County establishment that is comprised of roughly 1,478 residents, according to the latest U. S. census — Bryant’s featured book has inspired her and her husband, Tjai Bryant, to host summits during which this couple have become fixtures for bringing awareness to unify and uplift families.
“We focus on building and sustaining healthy relationships and restoring of our community,” Tiesha N. Bryant said of her family empowerment sessions. “We also honor the men in the community with an annual awards show.”
A proud graduate of Florida A&M University Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Tiesha Bryant acquired a Masters in the same area of study from Troy University. Also, she the co-founder of That Girl, her daughter’s rising brand that centered largely on spreading positivity to the youth and advocates against bullying.
As for the 30-page Imperfectly Perfect: Three Steps on the Parenthood Journey, Bryant has become the beneficiary of an array of favorable feedback, as expected.
“Readers have enjoyed the book because it speaks to them as an individual,” Bryant said. “It’s not telling them how to parent their children. It’s enhancing their journey. Many love that it’s interactive and not a hard and long read. Parents with children of different ages have benefited from the book, as well as grandparents. One of the main points that stood out to most readers was the chapter on love.”
Interestingly, Bryant announced plans of releasing a memoir, which is projected to be released sometime in Spring 2021.
In 2014, Bryant established We Have a Purpose Inc., a Phenix City, Alabama-based nonprofit organization that customarily provides prevention and intervention services to at-risk youth and their families.
Some of the programs, she said, include a self-help support group for parents who lost a child, as well as a psychoeducation groups for teens to have a safe and judge-free environment to discuss challenging conversations.
“I’ve also hosted many mother and daughter dances, brunches, and conferences to strengthen and nurture the unique bonds and child abuse awareness dance competitions to raise awareness of child abuse,” Bryant said of her flourishing organization.
“I don’t take any of my struggles or successes for granted. I call it an honor and privilege. I use any opportunity to share my story and give God glory. My mission is to live a life pleasing to God. May the work I do have a positive, everlasting impact on the lives of the individuals I serve and come in contact with.”
