Texas ‘Living Legend’ Bishop John Lewis Johnson to be honored for 60 years as Senior Pastor of Greater Progressive COGIC

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)

60 SHADES OF GRACE

FORT WORTH, Texas — Bishop John Lewis Johnson.

Clearly, such a name ought to ring a bell, should have by now undoubtedly become a fixture throughout the historic Church of God In Christ, a religious-based organization that is widely regarded as the largest Pentecostal church and the fifth largest Christian church in the country.
To grasp a thorough concept of why Bishop Johnson should have garnered a well-respected, unprecedented presence in the national church at this stage in his ministerial tenure, look no further than his immeasurable, well-publicized track record as one of Texas’ oldest clergymen, who is the Senior Pastor of Greater Progressive Church of God In Christ in Fort Worth.
To his distinctly unique credit, Bishop Johnson’s pastoral career is nearing an unprecedented six decades, an awe-inspiring, unfathomable feat that will be commemorated during his 60th Pastoral celebration on Friday, June 7 at 7:30 p.m. CST at Dayspring Family Church, located at 618 North Belt Lane Road in nearby Irving.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY — To his distinctly unique credit, Bishop John Lewis Johnson’s pastoral career is nearing an unprecedented six decades, an awe-inspiring, unfathomable feat that will be commemorated during his 60th Pastoral celebration on Friday, June 7 at 7:30 p.m. CST at Dayspring Family Church, located at 618 North Belt Lane Road in nearby Irving.

A gallery that will be comprised of his membership, colleagues, family members, and a host of well-wishers will collectively engage in a celebratory praise and worship service, during which they will pay homage to 93-year-old Bishop Johnson, who has been the face of Greater Progressive COGIC dating back to May 23, 1959.

The service will be highlighted by a featured speaker, Superintendent Melton R. Timmons, the Senior Pastor of Jones Valley Community COGIC in Tyler, Texas.

Timmons serves as Secretary for COGIC’s National Board of Trustees.

THE CHURCH’S HIGHEST OFFICE

All things considered, Bishop Johnson has surely earned the right to be celebrated for his exceptional body of work as one of God’s beloved spokesperson, one who has evolved as a beacon of light in his own right, particularly in the national church.

Having sold out completely to God on February 15, 1949 at the tender age of 23, it was within the walls of the very historic church he pastors that he surrendered his life to Christ.

A little more than a year later — April 26, 1950, to be technical — Bishop Johnson had graciously accepted his divine calling to preach the Gospel.

To his credit, he’s been on God’s battlefield ever since, considering his ministerial resume includes having served under the leadership of the late Elder D.C. Littlefield, during which he was the Greater Progressive COGIC’s Assistant Pastor for just shy of a decade.

Interestingly, Bishop Johnson was officially ordained as an Elder in 1959, a milestone that had ultimately given way to his ceremoniously appointment by the late Bishop F. L. Haynes as Senior Pastor of Greater Progressive on May 23, 1959 (he was installed by the late Bishop D. L. Smith).

Following a notable presence in the Texas Northeast First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction — a stint that included having assumed roles as trustee and chairman of the Board of Superintendents, as well as a Program Planning Committee member — Bishop Johnson was promoted to Administrative Assistant to the Office of the Bishop on December 29, 1992. Consequently, he was consecrated as an Auxiliary Bishop by Presiding Bishop Charles Edward Blake Sr. during COGIC’s 109th National Holy Convocation on November 13, 2016.

Years before assuming his heavenly promotion to the highest office in the church, Bishop Johnson was the beneficiary of an honorary doctorate by Dallas’ Paul Quinn College on October 17, 1990.

Three years later, he was recognized by a host of delegates in the Fort Worth Community when he was deemed a “Living Legend.”

Bishop Johnson is the former husband to the late Mother Alma Katherine Johnson, a union that lasted 65 years before her demise.

Labeled a “gospel giant” by his peers and colleagues, Bishop Johnson’s unparalleled preaching tenure spans nearly seven decades, a stint that’s also accompanied by 49 years as a District Superintendent and 44 years as a Jurisdictional Administrative Assistant.

WELL DONE

MASSIVE TRACK RECORD — All things considered, Bishop Johnson has undoubtedly earned the right to be celebrated for his exceptional body of work as one God’s beloved spokesperson, one who has evolved as a beacon of light in his own right, particularly in the national church.

A pastoral career that will reach 60 years as of May 23, Bishop Johnson currently serves as a Senior Advisor to Texas Northeast First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Prelate, Bishop J.E. Hornsby.

Clearly, such a name ought to ring a bell, should have undoubtedly become a fixture throughout the historic Church of God In Christ.

For 60 years…and counting.

Detroit business couple Roderick and Mablene Gillison advancing the kingdom as resourceful recovery coaches

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV)

STANDING IN AGREEMENT

GOD-ORDERED STEPS — Together, the inseparable union between Roderick and Mablene Gillison is so superabundant and close-knit that this godly couple deemed it essential to collectively established a business venture that would not only benefit them mightily, but, most importantly, it would help enrich and advance the kingdom.

Roderick loves his wife to the moon and back.

Mablene undoubtedly shares the same sentiments.

Together, the inseparable union between Roderick and Mablene Gillison is so superabundant and close-knit that this godly couple deemed it essential to collectively established a business venture that would not only benefit them mightily, but, most importantly, it would help enrich and advance the kingdom.
A native of Detroit, Roderick Gillison is a longtime real estate broker whom, along with his wife of 27 years, is state licensed recovery coach, whereby they are routinely afforded the golden opportunity to offer strategic support and assistance, particularly through helping people make the necessary recoveries that will ultimately prove beneficial to them.
Aside from functioning as a dedicated business couple to complement their longstanding union, Gillison is the Founder of the Recovery Today Television Network, an awe-inspiring milestone that is a far cry from his season in the wilderness, during which he was once saddled by drug and alcohol additions.

“A recovery coach is a person who has lived experiences and can identify with the peers he or she is serving,” Roderick Gillison told Making Headline News this week.

A venture that is powered by Roderick’s wealth of experience as a licensed minister of the gospel, the Gillisons’ recovery coaching endeavor is centered largely on aiding others to press and navigate toward a rewarding, successful future, not to recall and dwell on their turbulent, discomforting past, the couple acknowledged.

“Recovery means to gain back what was lost,” Roderick Gillison said. We offer support, assistance in helping persons to make a recovery that will work for them.”

AND THE BIBLE SAYS…

Interestingly and to their distinctly unique credit, the Gillisons’ Christian-based venture has become a fixture for attracting and accommodating today’s youth — or these millennial.

“We are trying to show the young generation it’s not what you do, it’s why you do what you do,” said Roderick Gillison, who accepted his calling to engaging in ministerial work in 1995.

Beloved members of Detroit’s historic After Christ Christian Center — under the leadership of Apostle Rudolph and Kingdom Recovery Ministries founder, Pastor Lois Ellis — Roderick Gillison credit these notable clergymen for greatly steering him on the right path in ministry, as well as in the business sector.

SOLID SUPPORTING CAST — Beloved members of Detroit’s historic After Christ Christian Center — under the leadership of Apostle Rudolph and Kingdom Recovery Ministries founder, Pastor Lois Ellis — Roderick Gillison credit these notable clergymen for greatly steering him on the right path in ministry, as well as in the business sector.

“These are my pastors, whom I love dearly,” Roderick Gillison said. “They accepted me and my family in 1995 at the lowest times in my life when I was struggling and hurt, and with their love and prayers, they raised us up to be who we are today — overcomers in Christ.”

Aside from functioning as a dedicated business couple to complement their longstanding union, Gillison is the Founder of the Recovery Today Television Network, an awe-inspiring milestone that is a far cry from his season in the dreaded wilderness, during which he was once saddled by drug and alcohol addictions.

RODERICK’S COVERING

POWERFUL WORDS —– “Having my husband for 27 years as a business partner gives me the ability to grow, not only as a friend, partner, and lover,” Mablene Gillison said. “We encourage each other in the good and bad times. Things I can’t see and hear, I have the man I trust to help me navigate through life’s situations. In this partnership, it teaches us to pray, love, forgive, and celebrate life daily.”

But God…Whom this devout man of faith had ultimately discovered would emerge as the Author and Finisher of his faith.

Talk about a dramatic comeback from after having endured a major and potentially life-threatening setback.

“I’m working in the field that I once fell victim to,” said Roderick Gillison, recalling his life-changing testimony for probably the umpteenth time, yet for all the right reasons.

Aside for the valiant support of his spiritually coverings, he has his wife to thank more than anything.

“My wife’s impact as a business partner is very special,” Roderick Gillison said. ‘Not only is she a wife, but first and foremost, she’s my friend. (The fact) we can achieve and love each other at the same time is mind blowing to me. Our marriage of 27 years is based upon (the Biblical passage) Amos 3:3, which reads: How can two walk together except they be agreed? She knows everything about me…how I think, how I’m feeling…man, she is definitely a gift from God. None of this would be possible without her.”

WE ALL IN — A venture that is powered by his wealth of experience as a licensed minister of the gospel, the Gillisons’ recovery coaching endeavor is centered largely on aiding others to press and navigate toward a rewarding, successful future, not to recall and dwell on their turbulent, discomforting past, the couple acknowledged.

Of course, Mablene Gillison likewise has a few favorable pleasantries to pass along while assessing her husband’s immeasurable impact as a business partner.

“Having my husband for 27 years as a business partner gives me the ability to grow, not only as a friend, partner, and lover,” Mablene Gillison said. “We encourage each other in the good and bad times. Things I can’t see and hear, I have the man I trust to help me navigate through life’s situations. In this partnership, it teaches us to pray, love, forgive, and celebrate life daily.”

With God, their Helper, steering the way.

Memphis businessman/author Tony Jackson’s new book blossoms into forthcoming movie

MEMPHIS MADE

DALLAS — Tony Jackson just keeps on making major strides.

A young, thriving Mid-South-area businessman, Jackson is not only having an immeasurable, continuous impact on the Mid-South-area entrepreneurship landscape, but with the help of his beloved companion, Monica Jackson, Tony Jackson has managed to savor yet another milestone, one that’s centered largely on — brace yourselves — producing a movie.

Yep. This isn’t merely a typo. Rather, it’s reality, an awe-inspiring development that surfaced, courtesy of Tony Jackson’s book entitled, “The Fair Shot That Was Never Given.”

Interestingly, the Jacksons’ movie stems from Chapter 4 of his book  entitled, “The Story Of Randolph,” which is available for purchase at Walmart.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, and Amazon.com. To his credit, Tony Jackson allows viewers access to the daily life of a Pastor, who’s struggling with being a manfirst and foremost, and then a Pastor.

Randolph, as Jackson explained during a recent interview with Making Headline News, is under a constant monitoring by people around him, considering he’s eager to do what this producers deems as “regular things,” thus become actively engaged in having fun without being bound by the “Bishop” title that he carries.

“He is a young Bishop and feels he has been bottled, because of the title, and the expectations of people.” Tony Jackson said of Bishop Randolph, who’s characterized by rising actor Mynoris Woods.

Interestingly, the Jacksons’ movie stems from Chapter 4 of his book that’s entitled, “The Story Of Randolph,” which is available for purchase at Walmart.com, BarnesAndNoble.com, and Amazon.com. To his credit, Tony Jackson allows viewers access to the daily life of a Pastor who’s struggling with being the man first and foremost, and then a Pastor second.

The young lady he’s diligently pursuing is up-and-coming actress Sweetrica Baker, who plays “Kelly” in this newly-produced film. The other main character is “Aunt Julie” (Kelly’s Aunt), who’s original name is Mrs. Mary White.

Surely, while the “The Story Of Randolph” figures to be an intriguing and informative movie, MHN deemed it essential to speak with other cast members of the Jacksons’ forthcoming project.

That said, we present to you a dose of our Q’s and A’s.

ABOUT TO BE LIT — This isn’t merely a typo. Rather, it’s reality, an awe-inspiring development that surfaced, courtesy of Tony Jackson’s book entitled, “The Fair Shot That Was Never Given.”

MHN: What production company did you partner with on this movie?

TONY JACKSON: I’m glad you asked. We went with one of the dopest film makers out of Nashville named Victoria Jones. Her company is VaJones Films, In addition to VaJones, she brought on All-Star editor/film crew member Clarence Scott of CScottRun Productions. Additionally, they flew in another bright mind from Nashville: Kevin Mumphrey of Kevin Mumphrey MumphreyProductionsLLC, who also does production and sound. And my wife, Monica R. Jackson, and myself are co-directors, and together, we makeup Jackson4CompaniesLLC. This is a dynamic team. They have been a part of a lot of major projects over the years, including the show, “Nashville.”

MHN: What do you like most about being an actress and playing the role of Kelly?

SWEETRICA BAKER: I enjoy becoming the character. I have always had an appreciation for the arts. It has always been a part of my life in one form or another. My mother always desired for me to do something in modeling, but for years, I was self-conscious about my body and even my skin, so I settled for acting classes in my youth. As I have grown older and learned to appreciate life and the various ways we live it, I have learned to embrace my curves and everything about me that makes me different from everyone else. As an actress, you get to step outside of yourself and become someone else. It is easy for me to feel what my character is feeling, but at some point I was there, too. I understand Kelly not wanting to be burned, especially by a man of the cloth. When you are attached to a messenger of God’s word, you are voluntarily exposed to other’s judgments constantly. The man, not the minister, can’t show that he is fallible. The woman attached to him seems to be held accountable for not only his public image, but her’s and everyone attached to them. I can’t image every first lady’s burden.

Randolph, as Jackson explained to Making Headline News during a recent interview, is under a constant monitoring by people around him, considering he’s eager to do what this producers deems as “regular things,” thus become actively engaged in having fun without being bound by the “Bishop” title that he carries.

MHN: Mynoris Woods, or Bishop if I may ask, What do you like most about being an actor and playing the role of Randolph?

MYNORIS WOODS: It allows me to formulate and understanding for my character and to actually bring my character to life. And playing Randolph in the movie is nothing short of a blessing. It is amazing to play a role that’s so many people and so many clergy individuals have had to deal with on a daily basis, being judged just because they are a man or woman of the cloth. I love playing Randolph. It is one of the most exciting roles I’ve ever had in my life it actually reminds me of myself — LOL — but don’t tell no one.

MHN: What are amongst the age groups to whom your endeavor caters to?

MONICA JACKSON: I think we are attempting to cater to everyone, but putting a special focus on the church goers, people of faith, or anyone that puts people on pedestals knowingly or unknowingly. People in these positions are people first and their title second. They are watched so closely and are stressed a lot of times because they feel they are on that line.

MHN: In your own words, why is it imperative that you esteem and inspire others daily?

TONY JACKSON: Because life is hard. Literally every day, you have to get up and choose to be happy. Happy to me is a mindset. Very simple way I look at it. I control my feelings. If I’m happy, I’m happy, if I’m sad, I’m sad. As it relates to most things, if you say you’re going to do something, simply because you tried, you’ve succeeded. Failure is no such thing. But you’ll have to read all about that in my book, “The Fair Shot That Was Never Given.”

ACTION JACKSON

A young, thriving Mid-South-area businessman, Tony Jackson has not only having an immeasurable impact on the Mid-South-area entrepreneurship landscape, but with the help of his beloved companion, Monica Jackson, Tony Jackson has managed to savor yet another milestone, one that’s centered largely on — brace yourselves — producing movie.

MHN: Anything else you’d like to add to this story?

MONICA JACKSON: Yes, be on the lookout for “The Story Of Randolph” and “The Man Of The Cloth” and purchase the book, “The Fair Shot That Was Never Given” by my husband, Tony M. Jackson, to get ahead of the story. This is just one of the stories out of the book. There are five more that you will be blessed by.

Georgia Pastor Vincent and Lady Ardys Leslie savoring the abundant life that Christ came to give them

Shepherd the flock of God which is among you, serving as overseers, not by compulsion but willingly, not for dishonest gain but eagerly; Nor as being lords over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock; And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away. (1 Peter 5:2-4 NKJV)

THE JOHN 10:10 AFFECT

FRUITS OF THEIR LABOR — Powered by the motto that reads: We are real people with real issues looking for real answers, Abundant Life is widely deemed “one church in two locations,” considering it will unveil a campus in nearby Augusta the final weekend of April. As if that isn’t enough to set off a festive, jubilant, collective praise break amongst the masses, Abundant Life commemorated its fifth anniversary the first weekend in April, a feat Pastor Vincent and Lady Ardys Leslie don’t merely take lightly, considering God had strategically set them aside for His use — particularly to serve faithfully alongside each other for such a pivotal time as now.

DALLAS — While addressing the media Friday afternoon, Vincent Leslie recalled in great detail how God had strategically gone about placing him on an pivotal assignment for such a time as now.

A massive, life-changing endeavor, one that, to his distinctly unique credit, is steadily impacting and enriching the kingdom unlike never before.

“I didn’t just roll out of bed one day and start preaching,” Pastor Leslie told Making Headline News during a phone interview from Atlanta. “I’ve been preaching the gospel for over 20 years.”
For Pastor Leslie, it is a two-plus-decade journey that has benefited him mightily as one of God’s anointed spokesperson, who happens to be the Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Church of Atlanta and Augusta.

GOD’S PLAN — For Pastor Leslie, his two-plus-decade ministerial journey has benefited him mightily as one of God’s anointed spokesperson, who happens to be the Senior Pastor of Abundant Life Church of Atlanta and Augusta.

Officially referred to as Abundant Life Worship Center, this institution that has become a fixture in the Atlanta metropolitan area and has flourished fervently since its 2012 inception, in large part because it continues to fortify its awe-inspiring vision that’s centered on meeting people where they are, thus helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Powered by the motto that reads: We are real people with real issues looking for real answers, Abundant Life is widely deemed “one church in two locations,” considering it will unveil a campus in nearby Augusta the final weekend of April.

As if that isn’t enough to set off a festive, jubilant, collective praise break amongst the masses, Abundant Life commemorated its fifth anniversary the first weekend in April, a feat Pastor and Lady Ardys Leslie don’t merely take lightly, considering God had strategically set them aside for His use — particularly to serve faithfully alongside each other for such a pivotal time as now.

GOD’S LEADING LADY — A native of Los Angeles, Lady Leslie is a former salon owner and master stylist, who was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness. Not to be outdone, though, while it seemed she was “sold out to that religion” for an extended period of time, arguably the most crucial phenomenon she had come to discover is that Jesus isn’t just the Reason for every season but, above all, He’s the Reason she’s been set aside for God’s use.

Because they have diligently obeyed the Voice of God, today unlike never before, this couple — who share four children — are steadily savoring the fruits of their labor, not to mention possessing and savoring the Abundant Life that Christ came to give them.

For Pastor Leslie — a former Alabama A&M University student who spent eight years in the U. S. Army Reserve — his rise to selling out solely to God began at the tender age of 12.

A native of Huntsville, Alabama, who’s widely regarded as a man who God has commissioned and ordained to assure that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is disseminated to all mankind, Pastor Leslie  emerged as a young, gifted saxophonist, one who customarily played gospel music on a slew of platforms — most notably appearing as opening acts for a number of national recording artists.

Interestingly, it wasn’t until 1999 that he officially answered the call of God on his life, a development that had ultimately given way to his becoming a licensed minister at the historic Greater Hope Tabernacle Church in his native establishment.

A former armor bearer, whose kingdom duties included traveling the country as an adjutant (or godly servant), amongst the notable factors Pastor Leslie discovered was that authentic ministry meant to “to meet the needs of the people.”

All of which had eventually led to his much-anticipated Pastorate tenure in 2003 when he was installed as Senior Pastor of Greater Hope Tabernacle Church  in Lawrenceville, Georgia, a milestone that unfolded just two years after he had become an ordained elder.

Nearly a decade later, however, Pastor Leslie assumed his next major ministerial assignment when he founded Abundant Life Ministries in Lawrenceville along with his beloved companion.

A native of Los Angeles, Lady Leslie is a former salon owner and master stylist, who was raised as a Jehovah’s Witness.

Not to be outdone, though, while it seemed she was “sold out to that religion” for an extended period of time, arguably the most crucial phenomenon she had come to discover is that Jesus isn’t just the Reason for every season but, above all, He’s the Reason she’s been set aside for God’s use.

THIS IS HOLY GROUND

SERVANT’S HEART — A former armor bearer, whose kingdom duties included traveling the country as an adjutant (or godly servant), amongst the notable factors Pastor Leslie discovered was that authentic ministry meant to “to meet the needs of the people.” All of which had eventually led to his much-anticipated Pastorate tenure in 2003 when he was installed as Senior Pastor of Greater Hope Tabernacle Church  in Lawrenceville, Georgia, a milestone that unfolded just two years after he had become an ordained elder.

How else to explain why she serves with keen, immeasurable excellence alongside her husband as a devoted evangelist?

“She strives to help women know their worth and value,” said a spokesperson in a detailed introduction of Lady Leslie, who also serves as director of Abundant Life Church Of Atlanta and Augusta’s Women’s Ministry, whereby she assembles and oversees programs that will enable disciple women to grow and thrive in their relationship with Christ.

Having adopted a mission in which she’s destined to “win lost souls to Christ,” Lady Leslie’s other kingdom-based responsibilities include hosting an annual women’s retreat and a monthly women’s bible study.

BEACON OF LIGHT — Officially referred to as Abundant Life Worship Center, this institution that has become a fixture in the Atlanta metropolitan area and has flourished fervently since its 2012 inception, in large part because it continues to fortify its awe-inspiring vision that’s centered on meeting people where they are, thus helping them to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Interestingly, she is widely known for being a relationship coach, which affords her the golden opportunity to empower women of all ages, particularly through life-enhancing speeches, health and wellness, and encouraging wholeness.

The owner and adviser of the Mentor Me MasterClass — a Christian-based company and mentorship program that centers on providing spiritual oversight, wisdom, guidance, and purpose for women — Lady Leslie is an advocate for inspiring women from various walks of life to execute the essential work that would greatly enable them to savor a physically, emotionally, and spiritually-equipped healthy lifestyle.

“Our ministry is targeted toward couples and families,” Pastor Leslie said.

Now we know why.

Talk about a massive, life-changing endeavor, one that, to this couple’s distinctly unique credit, is steadily impacting and enriching the kingdom unlike never before.

Boston preacher Bishop Ronald S. Hobson, Sr. advancing the kingdom mightily as leader of The Reconstruction Church

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. (1 Timothy 5:17 KJV)

DALLAS — Just a few days ago, Dr. Ronald S Hobson, Sr. found himself reminiscing, among other things, about how his family had gone about making peace with Jesus Christ.

Without question, it was arguably the best discovery of his young life.

As Dr. Hobson — a Boston-area pastor who’s widely known as Bishop Hobson — explained, it all unfolded sometime after the tragic death of grandmother, during which his family consequently attended the historic Jefferson Temple Church of God In Christ in nearby North Bellport, New York.
Ironically, Bishop Hobson’s mother, Geraldine Scott, had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, thus setting off what apparently was a spiritual domino effect throughout the Hobson household.

ON GOD’S BATTLEFIELD

GOD’S MIGHTY SPOKESPERSON — A ministerial calling that spans approximately three decades, Ronald S. Hobson is the Senior Pastor at The Reconstruction Church.

“It was after she accepted Christ that our journey as a family into the Christian faith began,” Bishop Hobson told Making Headline News this week.

For Bishop Hobson, witnessing his mother surrender to God proved to be defining moment, of sorts, for an accomplished preacher, whose keen reputation is such that he customarily exemplifies having a heart for people.

God’s people, to be more direct.

A ministerial calling that spans approximately three decades, Bishop Hobson is the Senior Pastor at The Reconstruction Church.

MORE ON TRC: https://thereconstructionchurch.org/

Located at 80 Pleasant Street in Brockton, Massachusetts, The Reconstruction Church has adopted a notable commitment that is centered largely on serving its community through various programs, many of which are geared toward people’s spiritual needs.

“We are not hear to judge, but to help you change the way you think about your faith,” said a spokesperson for The Reconstruction Church in a detailed introduction of this flourishing ministry at https://thereconstructionchurch.org/.

A native of North Bellport, New York — a rural town of roughly 11,545 residents, according to the latest U.S. census — it’s safe to assume that Bishop Hobson, 48, undoubtedly was birthed into ministry.

He’s also is a thriving businessman as a credible credit repair specialist.

Having always looked up to and admired his pastor, Bishop Ralph L. Jefferson — “I still admire him today,” he often says — it was due in large part to his spiritual father’s unorthodox style of preaching, coupled with what Bishop Hobson describes as his “tenacity in preaching The Word” that greatly fueled his desire to want to follow in his footsteps.

PROMOTED BY GOD — Dr. Hobson was consecrated in December 2003 to the Office of Bishopric through the laying on of hands of His Eminence W. O. Kinnings in nearby Philadelphia before being reaffirmed and dually consecrated to the Office of Bishopric and Presiding Prelate of Preachers United Fellowship in August 2006 by the Episcopal Board of Bishops of Alpha & Omega Ministries, Bishop Lee A. Davis (California).

Despite the notion that being raised with eight brothers and sisters were both “amazing and discouraging” at times, Bishop Hobson is especially appreciative of the fact this his mother had raised her children to the best way she knew how, though he acknowledged that growing up in what he deems “an improvised community” had its share of challenges.

“Like any other inner-city, I was introduced to many vises and avenues that were not ideal and economically friendly,” Bishop Hobson recalls. “I had to do what I had to do to survive.”

Regardless, amongst the notable factors with which this young preacher had come to grips was that only what he does for Christ will last. So realistically, there was no running from the calling and purpose for which he was created.

MOM KNOWS BEST — For Bishop Hobson, witnessing his mother surrender to God proved to be defining moment, of sorts, for an accomplished preacher whose keen reputation is such that he customarily exemplifies having a heart for people. God’s people, to be more direct.

“The amazing part of everything was that the church became my outlet and focus,” Bishop Hobson explained. “The more I attended, the more comfortable I grew to accept this Jesus my pastor so eloquently shared through his preaching and teachings. The church became my focal point for change. My pastor took the time to teach me all he could for me to become someone or something in life. He poured into me daily values and practices of clean, godly living. He wanted to ensure that I made godly decisions in life.”

All of which practically sums up why this young preacher from a rural town on Long Island has been set aside for God’s use, all the while steadily having a massive impact in advancing the kingdom for such a time as now.

Never mind that according to Bishop Hobson, the awe-inspiring events that had ultimately given way to his divine call to ministry weren’t merely easy, he often recalls.

A native of North Bellport, New York — a rural town of roughly 11,545 residents, according to the latest U.S. census, it’s safe to assume that Bishop Hobson, 48, undoubtedly was birthed into ministry.

“It was life-changing,” he typically says without hesitation.

Having officially accepted his calling to preach to gospel at the tender age of 18, this then-teenage preacher found himself standing behind a sacred desk, giving his first sermon in October 1988.

He’s been preaching ever since.

Bishop Hobson also is a thriving businessman as a credible credit repair specialist.

“Remembering the day when my pastor laid his hands on me, he shared with me a dream I had the night before,” Bishop Hobson recalled. “The Lord knew what He showed me in my dream, but my pastor’s prophetic discernment by The Spirit of God was led to share the dream. He said, ‘Son, God has called you to preach.’ After that, I hit the floor – slain in The Spirit.”

He’s been slain in The Spirit ever since.

He hasn’t looked back ever since.

Credit the fact that He’s been sold out to God ever since.

In no particularly order.

IT’S ALL GOOD — Despite the notion that being raised with eight brothers and sisters were both “amazing and discouraging” at times, Bishop Hobson is appreciative of the fact this his mother had raised her children to the best of her capabilities, though he acknowledged that growing up in what he deems “an improvised community” had its challenges. Pictured with Bishop Hobson are his sons, Ron, Jr. and Christopher.

Having become a licensed minister the same year he delivered his first sermon, Bishop Hobson was ordained and installed as a Pastor in October 2002 by Bishop Ralph L. Harmon, Milford, DE.

Bishop Hobson’s mother, Geraldine Scott, had accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, thus setting off what apparently was a spiritual domino effect throughout the Hobson household.

Consequently, he was consecrated in December 2003 to the Office of Bishopric through the laying on of hands of His Eminence W.

Having studied at Empire State College in Buffalo, New York, Bishop Hobson enrolled at the University of Phoenix, during which his concentration was Business Administration.  Having matriculated from Encouraging Faith Theological University with honors, Bishop Hobson is an accomplished author who wrote “Who’s Your Moses?”

KEEP ON KEEPIN’ ON — Having officially accepted his calling to preach to gospel at the tender age of 18, this then-teenage preacher found himself standing behind a sacred desk, giving his first sermon in October 1988.

“Accepting what God allowed was my new momentum and vision focus,” Bishop Hobson said of his well-publicized ministerial career. “I felt secure in knowing Chrissy was in the safest arms. I knew I had to continue to preach the Good News. I’ve learned that through the course of healing that I have to love and not hate…press to impress Christ and live the best life I could for Him, because tomorrow is not promised to anyone, not even me.”

All things considered, that, without question, was arguably the best discovering of his young life.

Dallas/Fort Worth Pastor Edward Taylor continuing Deliverance Chapel COGIC’s longstanding mission as its beloved leader

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV)

CARRYING THE MANTLE

DIFFERENT LEADER, SAME MISSION — A notable faith-based resume that is comprised of Edward Taylor being widely dubbed a well-respected preacher, teacher, evangelist, worshipper, father, and counselor, he has appropriately assumed his rightful place as the face of the historic Deliverance Chapel Church of God In Christ, located at 1438 Hortense Avenue.

DALLAS — For the record, it is a testimony that Edward Taylor deems it a foregone conclusion to share with the masses.

Every single chance he gets.

Just recently, Taylor found himself disclosing it once again, reliving the awe-inspiring notion that had it not been for the Lord on his side then, chances are, he wouldn’t merely know where he’d be.

Then again, he does have an idea, to put it rather bluntly.
“Had God not changed my life when He did, I would probably be dead or in jail,” Edwards, during an exclusive interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable, life-altering developments that led to his rise as an accomplished man of the cloth. “Also, I know if He changed my life, he can do it for someone else. So I take reaching the lost — evangelism — really serious.”
To grasp a thorough understanding of why Taylor would be considered a proverbial nuts and bolts — or a going by the book — type of minister, look no further than not just how God has provided for him a way of escape time and again.
Oh…and while you’re at it, look no further than how he’s diligently going about serving the people of God.
A notable faith-based resume that is comprised of Taylor being widely dubbed a well-respected preacher, teacher, evangelist, worshipper, father, and counselor, he has appropriately assumed his rightful place as the face of the historic Deliverance Chapel Church of God In Christ, located at 1438 Hortense Avenue.
Installed as an ordained elder approximately two years later by the late Bishop J. Neaul Haynes, the former Prelate of the Texas Northeast First Jurisdictional, Taylor consequently served closely under late Superintendent Kelley Jr., a stint that would ultimately give way to his official installation as Deliverance Chapel’s Pastor months after Kelley Jr.’s untimely demise, despite having founded Dallas’ El Shaddai Temple Church of God In Christ in August 2011.

A tradition-rich institution that’s housed in the historic Oak Cliff community of Dallas, Deliverance Chapel has embraced wholeheartedly the keen leadership of Taylor, 53, since the longtime minister was installed as its third Senior Pastor in 2017.

Having succeeded the late Superintendent Elijah Kelley Jr., who passed away on November 19, 2016 at the age of 54, Taylor has made immeasurable strides since assuming the Senior Pastoral duties and, much to his delight, his congregation has unquestionably and gracefully received him in the process.

Deliverance Chapel was founded in 1981 by the late Superintendent Elijah Kelley, Sr. and his wife, Elect Lady Geneva Kelley.

“Although (I was) raised in a single parent home, my mother always taught me to work hard and never let anyone tell me what I can’t do or attain,” said Taylor, recalling the No. 1 key value he was taught as a child.

SERVING WITH EXCELLENCE — To grasp a thorough understanding of why Taylor would be considered a proverbial nuts and bolts — or a going by the book — type of minister, look no further than not just how God has provided him a way of escape time and again, but look no further than how he has gone about serving the people of God.

A native of Jackson, Mississippi, Taylor and his family relocated from the Magnolia to the Lone Star State in 2004, approximately nine years after he had effectively accepted his calling to preach the gospel.

Interestingly, even before God had strategically set Taylor aside for His use, this young preacher endured a tumultuous season in the wilderness, one that was mired by his constant drug addiction.

All things considered, coupled with divine purpose for which he was created, even a somewhat lengthy connection to drugs wasn’t enough to steer Taylor to a premature death, mind you.

LEAST WE FORGET

REMEMBERING HIS PREDICESSORS  — Having succeeded the late Superintendent Elijah Kelley Jr., who passed away on November 19, 2016 at the age of 54, Taylor has made immeasurable strides since assuming Senior Pastor duties and, much to his delight, his congregation has unquestionably and gracefully received him in the process.

If nothing else, it seemed that such a downtrodden and gloomy season of his life only impressed upon the heart of his Creator to come after him the more. So much so that this young, gifted preacher from the “SIP” (a historic abbreviation for Mississippi) had no choice but to do away with his potentially dead-end addiction, thus pick up his cross and obey God’s specific commands that included, among other things, leading His people for such a time as now.

Because at the end of the real day, Taylor was taught, more than anything, that only what you do for Christ will last.

AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART

Armed with well over three decades of experience in the ministry, Taylor is especially appreciative of the valiant and unyielding support of Elect Lady Tangela Taylor, his wife of 15 years, who serves alongside him in ministry.

Here he is today, functioning mightily in his element as the chief executive officer of one of the most longstanding ministries in Dallas/Fort Worth which, to his credit, is a far cry from those days back home in Mississippi, where the adversary sensed he had Taylor right where he wanted him.

But God…

SERVANT’S HEART — For what it’s worth, this national COGIC Adjutant has been serving ever since — serving with a pure and contrite heart, serving immense adherence and trustworthiness, serving according to God’s purpose.

“(My ) family is very supportive, especially my mother and adult children,” said Taylor, explaining his transition to Senior Pastor nearly two years ago.

Armed with well over three decades of experience in the ministry, Taylor is especially appreciative of the valiant and unyielding support of Elect Lady Tangela Taylor, his wife of 15 years, who serves alongside him in ministry.

“The Lord has blessed us to work together to accomplish great things in the ministry,” Taylor said of his companion’s unparalleled support. “Our greatest desire is to take the church to another level and build the people and let God grow the church. Deliverance Chapel is a united body, and is definitely a good church to go to heaven from.”

Credit Taylor’s predecessor as arguably the biggest reason why.

Taylor joined Deliverance Chapel in 2004 after serving a brief tenure under Pastor Joe Starks of Shady Gove Church of God In Christ in nearby Irving, Texas.

RIGHT WHERE GOD WANTS HIM — Here is Taylor today, functioning mightily in his element as the chief executive officer of one of the most longstanding ministries in Dallas/Fort Worth which, to his credit, is a far cry from the days back home in Mississippi, where the adversary sensed that he had Taylor right where he wanted him. But God…

Installed as an ordained elder approximately two years later by the late Bishop J. Neaul Haynes, the former Prelate of the Texas Northeast First Jurisdictional, Taylor consequently served closely under Superintendent Kelley Jr.

Such a stint would ultimately give way to Taylor’s official installation as Deliverance Chapel’s Pastor months after Kelley Jr.’s untimely demise, despite having founded Dallas’ El Shaddai Temple Church of God In Christ in August 2011.

Deliverance Chapel was founded in 1981 by the late Superintendent Elijah Kelley, Sr. and his wife, Elect Lady Geneva Kelley.

Prior to assuming his Pastoral assignment in Texas, Taylor served at Amazing Institutional Church of God in Christ in Jackson, Mississippi, under the leadership of Superintendent Marcus Butler.

Currently, Taylor serves as Evangelist President to Bishop Nathaniel De’Anthony Wells, the Prelate of Texas Northeast Fourth Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

Asked when he sensed that God was strategically him for ministry, Taylor said without hesitation: “When I accepted my calling at age 30.”

A PROVEN LEADER — A tradition-rich institution that’s housed in the historic Oak Cliff community of Dallas, Deliverance Chapel has embraced wholeheartedly the keen leadership of Taylor, 53, since the longtime minister was installed as its third Senior Pastor in 2017.

For what it’s worth, though, this national COGIC Adjutant has been serving conscientiously ever since — serving with a pure and contrite heart, serving with immense adherence and trustworthiness, serving according to God’s purpose.

Most of all, he’s serving fervently from God’s perspective.

Which, because of the divine calling on his life, is a far cry from those days back home in Mississippi, where the adversary sensed he had him right where he wanted him.

But God…

Virginia Life Coach Debra Kay fulfilling her divine purpose as a Christian-based author

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV)

A-O-KAY JOB

GREATER IS COMING — Having written 10 books to date, Debra Kay’s featured project is entitled, “The Woman On The Inside Is Greater Than The Woman You See,” an informative, spiritually gut-checking written document she officially released in December 2010.

DALLAS — Earlier this week, Debra Kay was going on and on about her immeasurable, compelling gifts as an accomplished author.

Truth be told, she’s earned every right to.

“I am usually writing two or three books at a time, as I am right now,” Kay told Making Headline News. “It does not usually take me any longer than six months to start and finish a book. Things are a little bit hectic being a grandmother, but very rewarding.”

Having written 10 books to date, Kay’s featured project is entitled, “The Woman On The Inside Is Greater Than The Woman You See,” an informative, spiritually gut-checking written document she officially released in December 2010.
An authorship tenure that spans a little more than a decade, Kay’s initial book had come full circle in September 2006, approximately four years after she steadfastly exercised her faith to produce it.
AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART — Since delving off into the ever-so-competitive world of authorship, the general consensus amongst Kay’s book is that she’s undoubtedly an accomplished and brilliant author, one who doesn’t shy away from the notion that she’s on fire for God.

“God gave me the vision to write this book in the summer of 2002,” Kay said. “I started this book with the title at the end of 2006. I completed this book in September of 2007.”

As Kay emphasized, it is a book — though it has been on the market for quite some time — she’s aiming to reintroduce to the general public, in large part because “The Woman On The Inside Is Greater Than The Woman You See” is just as prevalent today than it was when it made it ceremonious debut in 2010.

“The single most important reason I chose to write this book is because I have been underneath the feet of people since I was a young person,” Kay explained. “I am a survivor of depression, suicidal thoughts, inferior toward others, and very low self-esteem, which I believe runs in my family with many of the women.”

For what it’s worth, however, Kay’s featured book has brought about renewed sense of enthusiasm for this Martinsville, Virginia-area author, both in the natural and the spirit.

“This book is produced to allow women to know that the greater one is on the inside,” said Kay, who’s widely known also as a Christian-based Life Coach. “You can be beautiful on the outside, but still jacked up on the inside without Christ. When He indwells in you, you are enough.”

Thanks in large part to her life-changing connection with Jesus, Kay not only rediscovered her God-given worth but, more than anything, she’s managed connect with the purpose for which she was created.

“It took many years even after salvation for me to know my worth,” Kay said. “Two bad marriages and I am still single, but at least now I have the wisdom to know what a good man is. I have gained clarity on my worth and it is tied to Jesus, not to a natural man. The book talks about the different stages of my life and how I overcame (them). There is a greater book coming even after this. The half has not been told of my story yet.”

Speaking of “greater” books, Kay is responsible for having produced nine other written works, her latest that is entitled, “How To Walk Out Your Salvation With The Lord Jesus Christ,” which was released in October 2015.

Besides that book, Kay authored the following projects:

  • The Joy Of The Lord Is Our Strength (2008)
  • The Restored Woman (2010)
  • Woman Don’t Die In Your Pain (2011)
  • Can Your Character Handle The Anointing (2008)
  • Confront Your Anger: Send It Back To Calvary (2014)
  • Position Yourself To Be Used By God (2012)
  • Walking In Tampered Faith: It Is A Destroyer (2012) and,
  • Suicide Is Not The Answer (2012).

Since delving off into the ever-so-competitive world of authorship, the general consensus amongst Kay’s book is that she’s undoubtedly an accomplished and brilliant author, one who doesn’t shy away from the notion that she’s on fire for God.

An authorship tenure that spans a little more than a decade, Kay’s initial book had come full circle in September 2006, approximately four years after she steadfastly exercised her faith to produce it.

“The feedback I have heard locally is that the books is so good they cannot put it down,” Kay said of ‘The Woman On The Inside Is Greater Than The Woman You See.”

All things considered, coupled with her divine calling, Kay is just giddy that God has set her aside for His use.

“God told me in 1998 that I would be traveling the world telling my story,” said Kay, the CEO of Debra Kay Coaching By Dezign and Inspiration Business DK Inspirations. “I have a lot to say; I just need a platform to say it in. These books are a part of that purpose (in that) God loves us all, but when women realize they are worth more than a sex toy, we can help build up other women and the cycle of depression, loneliness, suicide, and low self-image can be reduced.”

Texas gospel singer Bryan Ezell advancing the kingdom, following in the massive footsteps of his parents

O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. (Psalm 96:1 KJV)

DALLAS — Diana Sheffield Richards is a dear friend to Bryan Ezell.

On Tuesday morning, she deemed it essential to enlighten her social media followers of just how much she admires Ezell, a rising fixture in this ever-so-competitive gospel music industry.

“This is so cool! I can’t wait to see my friend, Bryan Ezell, sing at the Choice Competition. And it’s for a great cause!” Richards wrote in a Facebook post, alluding to Ezell’s forthcoming appearance at the Choice Singing Competition Friday night.

PREPARE YE THE WAY

SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE — A native of a small, unincorporated community known as Tom, Oklahoma, Bryan Ezell, 41, has made his presence felt as an accomplished gospel recording artist, whose immeasurable talents are steadily advancing the kingdom mightily for such a pivotal time as now.

For Ezell, Richards’ public celebratory shout out is just a microcosm of the kind of unyielding support this gifted and talent Sherman, Texas-based singer has garnered in recent years.

A native of a small, unincorporated community known as Tom, Oklahoma, Ezell, 41, has made his presence felt as an accomplished gospel recording artist, whose immeasurable talents are steadily advancing the kingdom mightily for such a pivotal time as now.

“I have been singing all of my life, and the older I got, I started thinking more about how instead of singing to other people’s music, why not make my own songs and sing them how I want to,” Ezell told Making Headline News this week. “I had an ear for music and could pay attention to the minute details of sound quality. That challenged me to begin creating favorable sounds as it was revealed to me.”

RUNNING WITH THE VISION — A gospel music tenure that spans more than 15 years, Ezell has gone to great lengths to become more of a gospel artist who customarily wears many hats, considering he possesses the immeasurable smarts as an audio engineer and music producer.

Widely known as a PK — or a Preacher’s Kid, considering he’s the son of Pastor and Mrs. James Ezell (Annie) of Latter Rain Church of God In Christ in nearby Sherman — Bryan Ezell credits his parents as his “first inspirations,” in large part because aside from literally being raised in the church, he grew up watching his father showcase his musical talents in a group called “The Inspirational Gospel Singers.”

“My mom used to sing all the time around the house, and they both made my sisters and I sing too,” Bryan Ezell recalled. “My friend, Whalion Dewberry, and his brother, the late Tony Dewberry, inspired me to play the guitar, as well as my grandpa, Lewis Joshua. I thought they were the coolest guys around as I watched them play for the church and the gospel group my dad was in.”

A gospel music tenure that spans more than 15 years, Bryan Ezell has gone to great lengths to become more of a gospel artist, who customarily wears many hats, considering he possesses the immeasurable smarts as an audio engineer and music producer.

Talk about savoring the fruits of his labor, this for an overwhelmingly gifted PK whom, because of the divine calling on his life, is witnessing his gifts steadily make room for him.

“I get to do exactly what I love to do as an occupation while creating ways to connect with people in various ways,” said Bryan Ezell, whose musical talents accommodate mostly pre-teen to adults. “(My personal mission is) to connect with mankind on a natural level, to encourage and empower their spirit, and to show that Jesus can lead the way to a better life if we turn it around and live right.”

A product of the Ezell Legacy Group, LLC, Bryan Ezell also offers music services to individuals of all ages at his family’s Trinity One Records LLC studio.

Having begun singing a the tender age of two, amongst the notable lessons he was taught is that never should he accept anyone’s “No” when God has emphatically said “Yes.”

“Because I have been told to stick to my day job and been told “no,” Bryan Ezell explained. “And I vowed to rise above those statements, even if I had to do it myself, and that’s what I did.”

After all, if he’s heard it once, he’s likely heard it countless of times.

That is, whatever you do for Christ will last.

ADVANCING THE KINGDOM

TRAINING HIM UP — Widely known as a PK — or a Preacher’s Kid, considering he’s the son of Pastor and Mrs. James Ezell (Annie) of Latter Rain Church of God In Christ in nearby Sherman, Texas — Bryan Ezell credits his parents as his “first inspirations,” in large part because aside from literally being raised in the church, he grew up watching his father showcase his musical talents in a group called “The Inspirational Gospel Singers.”

And, if God said it, that settles it.

Let the church say Amen.

“I didn’t give up after hearing (‘no’),” Bryan Ezell said. “I press the gas and grew from it, and that’s what I tell anybody. Abide in your calling and don’t give up if you believe you can do it, because nobody can stop your progress, but you.”

Talk about savoring the fruits of his labor, this for an overwhelmingly gifted PK whom, because of the divine calling on his life, is witnessing his gifts steadily make room for him.

Georgia author Dr. Cheryl Minter is a global beacon of light courtesy of her awe-inspiring books

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, since you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord. (1 Corinthians 15:58 KJV)

DALLAS — Dr. Cheryl Minter isn’t just widely known for the being the Founder and Senior Pastor of Anointed Word Life Center in East Point, Georgia.

Because of whom she is and because of the God-mandated calling on her life, she’s positioned herself to lead God’s people around the word, most notably through her immeasurable gifts as an author.

A native of Macon, Georgia, Minter has been blessed to compose five books to date, one of which is entitled, “Go Get Your Blessing,” her latest project she had co-written with her daughter, Brittany Ross.

ON GOD’S BATTLEFIELD

GOD’S LEADING LADY — A native of Macon, Georgia, Dr. Cheryl Minter has been blessed to compose five books to date, one which is entitled, “Go Get Your Blessing,” her latest project she had co-written with her daughter, Brittany Ross.

“God gave me the vision back in 2000 to put to paper,” Dr. Minter, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that led to her delving off into the ever-so-competitive world of authorship. “God explained to me that there would be people that would need to hear my story.”

Not only has Dr. Minter been blessed with the ideal platform to bless and enlighten the masses of her assortment of awe-inspiring testimonies that have helped shape and mold her into a monumental beacon of light throughout the Body of Christ, but her transparency through her books is steadily helping lure people to Christ.

“Many people would be going through similar testing, but they needed to know that their way was already prosperous and the plan that God executed for them at the beginning of time would stand the test of time,” Dr. said Minter, explained in great detail her mission for having assembled her starting lineup of books. “And I would be one of the examples that God would use in the earth to get His messages across.”

A 1982 graduate of Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, it wasn’t until approximately 11 years after Dr. Minter had caught the vision to become an author that “God’s Anointed Word Fulfilling Destiny,” her first published written work, had come full circle.

To her credit, it seemed that once book No. 1 had made its much-anticipated presence on the market, others would soon follow.

That’s because in 2013, Dr. Minter’s Coffee Talk Part 1 was officially released, followed by Coffee Talk Part 2 in 2014.

COFFEE ANYONE? In 2013, Dr. Minter’s Coffee Talk Part 1 was officially released, followed by Coffee Talk Part 2 in 2014.

Not to be outdone, Dr. Minter would join forces with 14 other authors to compose a collaborative written document entitled, “Second Chance Living,” an intriguing and informative project that was released just months after the second edition of Coffee Talk.

And then there is her latest book, “Go Get Your Blessing,” a book in which she paired with her daughter to assemble and is nearly three years removed since its release.

“The divine message in each book is that God is the Author and Finisher of our faith, that no matter what tests or trials we go through first, we are not alone,” said Dr. Minter sounding as if she’s giving a sermon from behind a sacred desk. “And if we don’t allow what is trying us to die in us, we will rise again with better ideas and a new creative process, but we must let go of the old and trust God for the new.”

Interestingly, Dr. Minter emphasized, among other things, why many of God’s people fail to fully adhere to these spiritual attributes.

“The reason we don’t understand is because it’s new and unfamiliar territory,” said Dr. Minter, whose notable accolades includes having graduated from the World Changers Ministries School of Ministry under the leadership of renowned Pastor Creflo Dollar. “If it was a process we’re used to, then we wouldn’t be afraid or have fear. Fear will cause you to stay stuck where it is unproductive and a strain.”

At this point during the interview, a full-fledge sermon had broken out by one of the Body of Christ’s most accomplished pastors-turned-authors.

“If Joseph had not been sold, he never would have been second in command with the King,” Dr. Minter explained. “If Abraham had not moved, he never would have been the father of many nations.”

In a nutshell, Dr. Minter acknowledged, what it all boils down to is our willingness to simply step out on faith, which seems to be the featured theme of her gallery of books.

And then there is her latest book, “Go Get Your Blessing,” a book in which she paired with her daughter to assemble and is nearly three years removed since its release.

“Our leaping causes us to reach and touch people we never imagined,” Dr. Minter said. “This process not only provides for others, but it provides something for us as well.

David used a sling to kill Goliath; he brought him before the king, married the king’s daughter, and lived in the king’s house. I learned to trust in the process that God had already proven and provided.”

Generally, the feedback since the release of her books has been positive for the most part, said Dr. Minter, a divorced mother of four children, three of whom have earned college degrees, the other having acquired certification from trade school.

“And everyone is doing fine with the help of God,” said Dr. Minter whom, to her credit, is steadfastly proving to be a global beacon of light, most notably through her immeasurable gifts as an author.

North Carolina author Marcell Gill’s “Get Rid Of Yourself” book drawing constant rave reviews

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Philippians 4:8 KJV)

Sometime in the Summer of 2017, God strategically placed Marcell Gill on an assignment, one that was centered largely on helping people to alter their way of thinking.

For Gill, it was an monumental assignment he graciously embraced.

VISION UNFOLDING

USED BY GOD — A book in which North Carolina author Marcell Gill needed a little more than a year to compose, “Get Rid of Yourself” headlines, among other things, this author’s featured purpose that’s geared toward helping people change their philosophy, he emphasized.
“I believe my purpose is to help people change their philosophy,” Gill, a Fayetteville, North Carolina-area author, told Making Headline News this week. “(I want to help) change the way they process problems and to react to them in a positive manner. I firmly believe that this book can make decision making a lot easier in the future.”

The book to which Gill is alluding is his newly-assembled written document entitled, “Get Rid of Yourself.”

A MUST READ

GOD DID IT — Much to his delight, Gill said his authorship debut undoubtedly is a “major milestone” in his life and that God is the Beneficiary of all the credit.

“The message I want people to download in their spirit is that you have been given power and authority over your mind and body,” Gill said. You, the spirit, are responsible for everything that happens in your life.”

Interestingly, Gill, by all accounts, stressed that we are not as powerless as we are taught to believe, something that, in many aspects, has crippled countless people, particularly those in the household of faith.

“Abba is our Guide, but He cannot make us get up and do anything,” Gill said. “The work that needs to be done is done through our hands. Not simply by praying and believing, but through work as well.”

MUCH INSIGHT — Interestingly, Gill, by all accounts, stressed that we are not as powerless as we are taught to believe, something that, in many aspects, has crippled countless people, particularly those in the household of faith.

A book that is just weeks removed from its official release,  Gill’s “Get Rid of Yourself” has already generated favorable feedback which, to his credit, figures to be a sign of things to come.

“The overall response has been stellar,” said Gill, a U. S. Army veteran. “The beta readers shared a genuine appreciation for my transparency and the willingness to discuss taboo subjects.”

“The Father has allowed me the opportunity to share this with the world and has equipped me to do so,” said Gill, adding that a few local speaking engagements are presently in the works and the he’s open to accepting more as they arise. “It’s all about changing lives and this is just the beginning.”

As expected, Gill has announced that other books are forthcoming — much sooner than later.

HE AIN’T DONE — As expected, Gill has announced that other books are forthcoming — much sooner than later.

“I think it’s only fair to write another book based on adding to yourself since the first book speaks on ridding ourselves of the wrong mindset,” Gill said. “This project may become a series in the near future.”

Of course, Gill doesn’t shy away from the notion that he’d be remiss if he didn’t offer this notable suggestion: “The last message I want to leave (my readers) with is this: Continuously renew your mind every day. Every single day. Form positive habits. Be the cause and reap the benefits of the effect. Trust God and manifest love at all times.”
