To her distinctly unique credit, Precious S. Brown undoubtedly has found her niche in writing.

“Writing can be a healing tool if used correctly,” Brown told Making Headline News this week. “I believe everyone has a story to tell, but only a few of us will be bold enough to do it, to change lives, to change the world.”
All things considered and because of the passion through writing for which she is widely known, Brown — for those who have followed her rise as an accomplished writer — has gone to great lengths to change the world, if you will.
A longtime Flint, Michigan-based businesswoman as the Founder and CEO of Kilgore Publishing, it’s safe to assume that Brown, 44, has surely paid her dues in this ever-so-competitive professional writing industry, considering she is responsible for having authored seven books, five of which she has written single handily.
For the record, Brown’s rise to authorship greatness was spearheaded through a God-orchestrated vision.
“God gave me the vision to write a book when I was a little girl, but I doubted it was possible,” Brown recalled.
As it turned out, she had ultimately proven herself wrong which, much to her delight, wasn’t a bad thing.

“That vision stuck with me throughout my life, but I always pushed it to the back of my mind,” Brown explained of having discovered her passion for writing. “After my divorce, (God) brought it to my remembrance and began to lay out exactly what I needed to share and provided the relationships to make it happen.”
It was in large part because of her act of obedience to her Creator, coupled with those who share a similar passion that have greatly enabled Brown to emerge as one Michigan’s finest authors.
It all began with Brown’s workbook series entitled, The Process Of Change, which is comprised of three volumes: Vol. 1: A Look At Me; Vol. 2 – Love Yourself; and Vol. 3 – Moving Forward.
Each of those written documents are used in Brown’s frequent workshops, she said and, according to the longtime writer, her “newest creation” entitled, Souls Untied, is scheduled to be released sometime in December.
In addition, Brown has engaged in a collaboration series known as: Transition 1: Create The Life You Desire and Transition 2: Ashes Emanating Beauty. As if that isn’t enough to generate the kind of exposure that has attracted a national presence, Brown has contributed to two other books, first Releasing The Fear: Walking In Faith and Shift Happens.
Both projects have been dubbed Amazon Bestsellers, she said.
All things considered, Brown’s journey as a notable author began in 2009, during which she composed her first book.
“It started as a journal to get my emotions under control,” Brown explained. “I would put it on the shelf and took it off from 2009-2012.”
Then a strange, but favorable sequence of events had unfolded the following year.

“I finally released it after I was challenged in September 2013,” Brown said. After that, the words kept flowing, and then I released Volumes 2 and 3 in 2014, the first Transition in 2016 and the second in 2017.”
All of which have practically fueled Brown’s creative drive to adopt what has become a personal, yet indefinite ambition, as far as she is concerned.
“My goal is to release a life-changing book once a year,” Brown said.
As always, whenever she finds herself sharing of her remarkably amazing story, chances are she will reflect back on how it all started with a vision, one that has changed the overall landscape of her life.
“My sole reason for writing the books is two-fold,” Brown said. “I knew the vision was given to me by God, and the one thing I didn’t want to do was disappoint Him. In not disappointing Him, my purpose was birthed…to help women define themselves, relationships, and success on their own terms…to shift their mindset to align with their definition and to create the life they desire.”
Here’s more proof.
“By being very transparent in my stories and giving a lot of my personal story, trials, and triumphs, I believe the divine message is you can overcome anything is if you put your mind to it,” Brown said. “Make the decision on what you want life to be, knowing that you deserve the best and nothing can stop you.”
As expected, the rave reviews, to Brown’s credit, are steadily pouring in which, by all accounts, are only adding to her immeasurable vision, one of which she has grabbed a firm hold.

“I get all kinds of feedback from…I can’t believe you share so much,’ to ‘Thank you for sharing your story…it blessed me,’” Brown said. “Most times, I get positive feedback. Some people don’t believe the storyline, because by the grace of God, I don’t look like what I been through.”
And for the record, the proof in the pudding, mind you.
That’s because to her distinctly unique credit, Precious S. Brown undoubtedly has found her niche in writing.
