HEALED, DELIVERED, AND SET FREE
DALLAS — Don’t get it twisted.
Wendi Hayman would be the first to admit that she isn’t addressing the media about her newly-produced tell-all book for the sake of gaining attention, for the sake of acquiring figurative pats on back, if you will.
Rather, she’s addressing the press, in large part because it essentially aligns with the purpose for which God created her.
“God’s purpose for me is (to be) a writer and creative story teller of the realities of life,” Hayman told Making Headline News during a recent interview. “That all lead back to God’s ultimate purpose and plan for His people in the earth. This book is part of that purpose for me to be a voice for those who have suffered in silence from past mistakes and trauma.”
The book to which Hayman is alluding is her newly-assembled written work entitled, “The Pastor’s Secretary: What Really Happens Behind Closed Doors,” a spiritually-empowering, heading-turning, attention-grabbing project that figures to create a constant buzz throughout the Body of Christ — much sooner than later.

Published by Glory to Glory Publications, Hayman’s “The Pastor’s Secretary: What Really Happens Behind Closed Doors” depicts her emotionally-driven life, during which she assumed an administrative role to the Pastor of the church she attended.
Working primarily in a volunteer role, Hayman’s primary ambition for agreeing to this post was to “sow seeds of her time” in a strategic effort of being what this writer describes as “the catalyst” she needed to gain full-time employment, according to a detailed introduction of her book by Google Books.
Having served in a similar capacity at the previous church she attended while unemployed, Hayman’s favorable deeds had ultimately given way to a positive and much-anticipated harvest which, much to her delight, led to her landing a full-time gig.
“Wendi didn’t expect that her interactions with the Pastor would cause her to be interested in him other than a working relationship,” said a Google Book spokesperson for Hayman’s new book. “These interactions that occurred moved from being innocently platonic to indiscretions. They also put Wendi on a winding road of infidelity that she did not expect to find herself on. In full sin and rebellion against God, Wendi then found herself at a place of complete brokenness and knew that the only way to wholeness was to run back to God where she belonged.”
Hayman’s third book to date that is currently available for pre-sale ordering, this Houston-area author said her latest book has surprisingly garnered favorable feedback just as she envisioned.
“I have received numerous praise for sharing my story or transparent truth of deliverance after being in the church, serving as a Pastor’s secretary, married while having an affair with the Pastor and committing adultery with other members,” Hayman said. “I was also a victim of infidelity from my husband.
“People have told me that my transparency has helped them in the things they have suffered in silence that they’ve endured in life, have done, or things (they’ve had) done to them. It has also encouraged other women to share their own stories of overcoming trauma and some of life’s most challenging situations.”
Having admittedly caught the vision to compose “The Pastor’s Secretary: What Really Happens Behind Closed Doors” approximately a year ago, Hayman needed just shy of a year to finish a book that, as she puts it forthrightly, is synonymous somewhat to the Biblical events involving Eve’s run-in with the serpent.
“I didn’t directly come on to him, and he didn’t directly come on to me,” Hayman explained. “It all started with a subtle joke he made with a sexual undertone — Hayman is now alluding to Genesis 3:1: “and he said unto the woman” — that I responded back to with my own sexual undertone — she is now referencing Genesis 3:2: “And the woman said unto the serpent” — I had taken the bait (she is now alluding to Genesis 3:6: “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eye).”
And the rest, as they say, was history.
Or, as today’s millennials would say, “It was on and poppin.”
When asked what was the single, most underlying reason she chose to produce “The Pastor’s Secretary: What Really Happens Behind Closed Doors,” Hayman said: “So that the church or Christian community can live in freedom from sin, secrets, silence, and shame from things done in their lives or done to them.”
All things considered, Hayman’s latest book is starting to generate a constant media presence, this prior to its official release.
A native of Houston, Hayman made her authorship debut when she witnessed the release of her fiction project, “One Hot Summer,” in 2016. She followed that up with a non-fiction book entitled, “Blind Ambition,” in 2017.
Other books are presently in the works, she said, most notably “Out Of The Ashes” and “The Family Legacy.”
To her credit, Hayman also has emerged as an ambassador, of sorts, for other aspiring authors.
“I will be hosting a coaching cafe entitled, ‘The Power Of Your Story: How To Write A Book Or Build A Brand From Your Personal Story,’” said Hayman, referring to her forthcoming appearance at the Ignite Women’s Empowerment Conference in Philadelphia on November 1-2.
