Strength and honour are her clothing; and she shall rejoice in time to come; She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness; She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness; Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her; Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. (Proverbs 31:25-29)

PURPOSED TO TRIUMPH
Kathryn A. Butler steadfastly exemplified a positive disposition.
As a result, God rewarded her mightily, most notably through her immeasurable gifts as an author.
“I was often asked how I accomplished so much with such a positive attitude and if I had key tips, I could give to someone facing similar situations,” Butler, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that led to the release of her new book. “As a military spouse for 22 years, I lived through many transitions and dealt with many challenges in life I refer to as ‘trenches.’”
To her distinctly unique credit, Butler used her more-than-two decade journey as a devoted military wife to compose Triumphant In The Trenches Victory Despite Challenges: Memoirs Of A Military Spouse, her newly-released masterpiece that made its ceremonious debut on August 26, 2020.
“I wanted to write a book so my children could have a better understanding of our past, and realized as I was writing my memoirs, that my experiences and victories should be shared with others because of its relevancy with regards to a very busy family lifestyle,” Butler said.

Suitably labeled a Memoir Of A Military Wife, Butler’s Triumphant In The Trenches Victory Despite Challenges: Memoirs Of A Military Spouse is comprised of 35 years of counseling, mentoring, adjusting, re-defining, adapting, sacrificing, suffering, overcoming, championing, rising, and succeeding, according to a detailed synopsis of this author’s book at Amazon.com.
“I felt it necessary to note pen to paper to give validation to the many spouses that have also survived,” Butler explained on her Amazon page. “I also wanted to provide a realistic view and insights that will bring hope to the many spouses currently living the life and for those to come.”
Interestingly, Butler raises rather two thought-provoking questions while breaking down her book: “Does the day-to day routine of life cause for a feeling of being overwhelmed, overlooked, or unappreciated? Has the indoctrination into a new culture and lifestyle shift appear to be daunting?”
In essence, Butler’s Triumphant In The Trenches will empower, enlighten, and inspire you to take authority over your situation and rise to be triumphant in every area of your life,” according to an Amazon spokesperson for this Los Angeles-based writer’s book.
A spiritually-empowering written work that is comprised of 164 pages in length, Butler thought it necessary to introduce what she deems “triumphant thinking” nuggets in her book as a uniquely strategic way to provide inspiration and motivation for readers, particularly as they navigate through their own trenches, she acknowledged.
“The nuggets were birthed out of every situation I faced throughout my life thus far and helped me to live victoriously despite never-ending challenges,” Butler said.
A life-altering book she began composing sometime in February 2018, Butler spent a little more than a year-and-a-half assembling a project that depicts a memorable, God-ordained season in her life.
“As a spouse of a military service member, my life took a different path than what I had envisioned prior to marriage, and I literally moved 14 times in the 22 years of my husband’s active duty service,” Butler recalls. “I met so many spouses that felt abandoned, left behind in their individual careers, and somewhat lacked validation that were wanting to meet with me to find out how I had successfully navigated the lifestyle with grace and still rose out of the trenches of life victoriously. I needed to share my story with the world.”
And, for her valiant efforts and massive contributions to society through her new book, lives subsequently have been changed in the process.
Not only that, Butler has become the beneficiary of an array of favorable feedback, most notably a variety five-star reviews.
As for the divine message she aspires to send to her reading audience through her latest published work, Butler, a native Oklahoman, said: “The key to living a fulfilled life is to take ownership of the choices you make. In doing so, you have a hand in dictating how you handle the trenches in your life in order to thrive and not just survive.
“In addition, I want to inform readers of how challenging, yet rewarding, life in the military can be for the entire family. Triumphant In The Trenches means even though we experience low periods in our lives, we can still be victorious by making simple choices. Another way to say it is Triumphant In The Trenches declares that you can be victorious while crawling through a ditch, going through a conflict, warfare, or situation, or even while fighting for one’s survival.”
Butler is no stranger to world of authorship.
For starters, she was a contributing author to her husband’s book, It’s Ok to Have an Affair (With Your Spouse), which debuted in 2007 and complements the couple’s marriage ministry called PK3 Ministries.
Also, Butler was afforded the golden opportunity to contribute to The Handbook For Clergy Wives, which is spearheaded by Dr. Barbara McCoo Lewis and can be purchased in National Church of God In Christ Bookstore.

As for her solo-authored book she finished it in October 2019, Butler said each chapter vividly exposes the divine purpose for which she was created.
“(I’m destined) to reach all people and give hope that anything is possible if we can believe, Butler — a motivational speaker, singer, actress, facilitator, and conference speaker for women and marriage seminars — said. “It is relatable and provides guidance and insights to help family members face adversities with confidence that they can succeed.
“This book is not just for military families, but for all families because the experiences and principles are universal in nature,” Butler added. “For instance, all families experience grief and disappointments, and have to find ways to overcome the vicissitudes of life. Winning and achieving one’s goals is not everything, but it is important. The book has a genuine feel and strong motivational overtone that will make readers want to keep reading.”
As evidenced by the slew of five-star reviews.
