Arizona businesswoman Celest Taylor carrying on her son’s memory through her empowerment endeavor

I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. (Psalm 139:14 NIV)

BLESSED BEYOND MEASURES

THIS IS THE LORD’S DOING — Because she stayed true to herself, because she stayed with God, the Giver of life, what she had ultimately discovered was that God strategically positioned her so that He could, in turn, blow her mind. And so it came to pass, the startup of Celest Taylor’s progressive, flourishing business venture that is Blessed & Beautiful Beginnings LLC, her Phoenix, Arizona-based venture that is centered largely on having a global impact, most notably through the ever-so-competitive empowerment industry.

For Celest Taylor, it was, by all accounts, a life-changing development she describes as “tragedy to triumph.”

Still, because she stayed true to herself, because she stayed with God, the Giver of life, what she had ultimately discovered was that God strategically positioned her so that He could, in turn, blow her mind.
And so it came to pass, the startup of Taylor’s progressive, flourishing business venture that is Blessed & Beautiful Beginnings LLC, her Phoenix, Arizona-based venture that is centered largely on having a global impact, most notably through the ever-so-competitive empowerment industry.
Armed with more than 2 ½ decades of retail experience and 16 years in customer service, Taylor’s Blessed & Beautiful Beginnings LLC has become a fixture for wedding and event planning.
In addition, this devout woman of faith customarily serves as a motivational speaker through her notable endeavor, all the while overseeing the day-to-day operations of her online boutique.

For Taylor, a native of Philadelphia, her rise to achieving entrepreneurship success didn’t come easy.

Rather, it came full circle amid arguably the most downtrodden season of her young life.

Also the founder and CEO of Sisters Blessing Sisters & Blessed Kings United LLC, Taylor established her featured venture after the death of her oldest son, Edward Taylor, whose life was tragically cut short on July 17, 2007 in Asheville, North Carolina.

Left to recall his awe-inspiring memory and carry out his legacy, Taylor, at some point in time, sensed she had no choice but to become totally dependent and reliant of God for some much-needed sense of direction.

She’d be the first to admit she’s glad she did.

REMEMBERING EDWARD

“I made a promise (to God) that each year, we’d honor Him by honoring others (through) giving,” said Taylor, whose empowerment venture accommodates individuals ranging in ages 25-to-75 years of age. “We have something for everyone.”

To her credit, Taylor’s venture has greatly afforded her the golden opportunity to impact and inspire the masses in such places as Boston, New York City, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Phoenix, as well as in Beverly Hills, California, where she will host a women’s event in the foreseeable future.

Also the founder and CEO of Sisters Blessing Sisters & Blessed Kings United LLC, Taylor established her featured venture after the death of her oldest son, Edward Taylor, whose life was tragically cut short on July 17, 2007 in Asheville, North Carolina.

“We’re also rebuilding and starting over worldwide through Google and Instagram,” Taylor said. “(We want) to give back and make a difference and build our outreach and motivational (speaking) events and venues.”

Much to her delight, Taylor has been afforded the golden opportunity to expand her immeasurable empowerment gifts, considered she recently hosted what is known as “Our Blessed & Beautiful Beginnings Sisters Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon,” as well as “Our Sisters Blessing Sisters Domestic Violence Awareness Prayer Dinner.”

Armed with more than 2 ½ decades of retail experience and 16 years in customer service, Taylor’s Blessed & Beautiful Beginnings LLC has become a fixture for wedding and event planning. In addition, this devout woman of faith customarily serves as motivational speaker through her endeavor, all the while overseeing the day-to-day operations of her online boutique.

October is recognized annually as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a campaign to increase awareness of the disease. October also is recognized annually as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Also, in December, Taylor will be host what is known as “Women United Worlwide A Celebration of Women.”

“And I love it,” Taylor said of her assortment of public appearances and speaking engagements. “That’s my goal each day (to esteem others daily) and leave out the door, knowing I’m making a difference and changing a life with love, kindness, compassion, wisdom, and no nonsense.”

All things considered, Taylor doesn’t shy away from the notion that the immeasurable strides she’s making throughout the kingdom is what her late son would have wanted.

Taylor earned an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts and Health Care Studies from Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. She’s currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree from Strayer University.

Arizona AAU basketball player Hannah Young ‘will be D-1 ready’ by 2023, her prep coach says

YOUNG AND GIFTED

BRINGIN’ IT — Besides proving to be as good as advertised for a player whose best and brightest days are well ahead of her, Arizona Select 15-and-under basketball player Hannah Young seemingly has taken it upon herself to go to the extra mile, particularly with regards to becoming a better overall student athlete.

DALLAS — It doesn’t take much to fuel Robin Young’s desire to strike up an in-depth conversation about Hannah Young, her gifted amateur athlete daughter, who’s making her presence felt on the AAU circuit.

Consider, for instance, how Robin routinely goes about assessing the performance of her daughter, a 13-year-old athlete who stars for the Arizona Select Girls Under Amour Association 15-and-under squad that’s based in Phoenix.
“Hannah is a diamond in the rough,” Robin told Making Headline News during a recent interview.
That her immeasurable mechanics, coupled with her length and wing span, have progressed considerably in recent years, Robin and those who have monitored closely Hannah’s rise as a youth basketball player have christened her with a name that figures to stick for years to come.

“We call her the clean-up woman,” Robin said of her daughter, who has gone from a shooting guard to a power forward since making a transition to the 15-and-under division. “She makes moves to the basket and finishes when giving the ball in the post. Rebounding and mid-range jumper have improved along with her put-backs.”

That her immeasurable mechanics, coupled with her length and wing span, have progressed considerably in recent years, Robin and those who have monitored closely Hannah’s rise as a youth basketball player have christened her with a name that figures to stick for years to come.

During the course of the summer, for instance, the rising Xavier College Preparatory freshman not only established a camaraderie by playing pickup games with her high school teammates, but she also found time between competitive play by taking two summer school classes.

For her valiant efforts: two A’s, a feat that consequently brought her mother to all smiles.

“She understands the true meaning of student athlete,” Robin said of her daughter’s willingness to exceed her own expectations. “She works hard on and off the court.”

A native of nearby Irving, Texas, Hannah has become engaged in what undoubtedly has been an eventful summer for a youth athlete, who’s making a solid case that she’s destined to attract interests from college scouts and recruiters — much sooner than later.

Amongst the reasons is that she’s currently active with a somewhat congested AAU itinerary, one that included a recent visit to the Mill City Invitational in Minnesota and the Girls Under Amour Session II in Indianapolis.

But wait. She isn’t finished.

Hannah also is scheduled to participate in the AAU’s Southern Showtime in Atlanta from July 20-22 and will cap off her summer-long slate by competing in the Girls Under Amour Finals July 23-26.

Arizona Select is comprised of five different teams and three UAA age divisions (15, 16, and 17-and-under).

ALL-AROUND ATHLETE — During the course of the summer, for instance, the rising Xavier College Preparatory freshman not only established a camaraderie by playing pickup games with her high school team, but she also found the time between competitive play by taking two summer school classes. For her valiant efforts: two A’s, a feat that consequently brought her mother to all smiles.

The 15-and-under squad is comprised of its top freshmen and middle school players, particularly those who do not earn roster spots on 16-and-under team. A team that represents Arizona Select’s Girls 15-and-under division of Under Armour Association, players selected to this team are elite participants, who successfully compete against elite competition at their respective age division and are striving to play high level college basketball.

Interestingly, the players will compete in regional and national events against other GUAA teams, as well as against elite competition nationwide. Their schedules include — but isn’t limited to — team practices, skills training, strength and conditioning training, and frequent out-of-state travel.

As for the immeasurable exposure Hannah has had the luxury to garner, Robin says she daughter is especially deserving of it, given her solid work ethic.

“(Xavier College Preparatory) coach Jennifer Gillom is excited to have Hannah as a freshman,” Robin said. “She believes that at the end of her four years at Xavier, she will be D-1 (Division 1) ready. Gillom loves that fact that Hannah is coachable and so eager to get to the next level.”

But first thing’s first, Robin’s stressed.

“Hannah’s goal is to bring Xavier College Preparatory its first girls’ high school state championship.”

As if anyone should be surprised.

Arizona author Dr. Kadijatu Grace Ahene carrying out her God-manifested vision through her compelling books

But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV)

For Dr. Kadijatu Grace Ahene, she didn’t just think and reflect on the necessary changes she sensed she needed to make in her life.

To her credit, she deemed it essential to put her faith into action so that she could reap favorable results —as a result.

“In life we all get to a point where we just want a change,” Dr. Ahene told Making Headline News this week. “We get tired of doing things the same way and getting the same results. I know I was.”

GOD’S AMAZING GRACE

ADVANCING GOD’S KINGDOM — A resident of Arizona — by way of West Africa — Dr. Kadijatu Grace Ahene is the mastermind behind two compelling books: “Saved By Grace,” her latest project, and “Broken Chains.”

For Dr. Ahene, that she was — for a lack of better words — sick and tired of being sick and tired essentially was the pivotal turning point she so desperately needed at the tender age of 25.

“I was tired of carrying the same baggage that weighed me down for so long,” Dr. Ahene, an accomplished Life Coach/Motivational Speaker, recalled. “So at age 25, I began to find ways to change. I picked up a few self-help books and did some Internet research on self-improvement.”

Such detailed research had ultimately given way to Dr. Ahene finding her niche in the ever-so-competitive world of authorship.

“At times, you will feel the need to quit; thoughts of worthlessness will permeate your mind and, if you are not careful, they will consume your soul,” said an Amazon spokesperson for Dr. Ahene’s “Saved By Grace.” But in the depth of it all is where you dig deep and find your strength in Him — God that is — the Creator of all that is just and unjust.”

As for the direct message she’s aiming to send to her reading audience through her latest book, Dr. Ahene emphasized it came during what was a trying time in her young life.

I grew up in church; I knew Who God was, but I realized that to know of God and to know God are two different things.”

Interestingly, Dr. Ahene began to establish a deeper, intimate relationship with God, a trend that had eventually given way to her acquiring more revelation to write her books.

GOD’S LEADING LADY

ENLARGING HER TERRITORY — Now that her immeasurable gifts as a writer are steadily making room for her — Dr. Ahene is scheduled to speak at the forthcoming United Nation’s Women’s Summit in the coming months — this devout woman of faith doesn’t shy away from the notion that she has appropriately made the necessary changes, many of which are greatly adding value to her life.

“I studied the Bible more deeply and my prayers became a little bit stronger,” Dr. Ahene said.

“I remember my strongest prayer ever was the eve of my 25th birthday when I asked God, ‘If this is life, then take my life already.’ I was not thinking of my mother, or anyone else around me. The humiliation from every con artist had me trapped in a cage.

“I cried from the deepest part of my broken soul, asking God to help me,” Dr. Ahene continued. “I asked Him to make me new, to restore my joy, to have His way, to forgive my bad decisions, to remove the pain I carried for so long and the anger that was created in the process. I cried for so long…I just wanted to start over.”

Arizona entrepreneur Stephanie White defies the urge to quit, establishes a credible event planning business

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 NIV)

For Stephanie White, one would be hard-pressed not to discover that her professional event planning business, by all accounts, is what she describes as her “niche.”

Then again, her niche goes far beyond running the day-to-day operations of her venture.

“(It’s) my niche,” White told Making Headline News this week. “My personal mission is to help and serve, to give back to others. I desire to create a business where I can hire people to help and always have work for my staff…to help others find work in my business. There are tons of businesses we see closing and people are left without jobs. I want to be the first wedding planning business to provide jobs.”

GLOBAL THING OF BEAUTY — Given the immeasurable strides she’s made since she diligently stepped out on faith and established Amorous Weddings and Events by Stephanie LLC, it’s safe to assume that Chandler, Arizona entrepreneur Stephanie White seems well on her way to achieving such a lofty ambition — much sooner than later.

Given the immeasurable strides she’s made since she diligently stepped out on faith and established Amorous Weddings and Events by Stephanie LLC, it’s safe to assume that White seems well on her way to achieving such a lofty ambition — much sooner than later.

Widely known mostly as a global wedding and event planner, White, 41, has become a fixture as a professional designer, one who has made a name for herself, considering her talents have been nothing short of remarkable, particularly for corporate events.

With nearly a decade of experience in event planning, White also specializes in cultural theme events.

While her event planning gifts and talents are things of beauty, White would be the first to admit that her business didn’t merely evolve as an overnight success.

In fact, long before her Chandler, Arizona-based Amorous Weddings and Events by Stephanie LLC had become what it is today, White recalls like yesterday those times she had to strategically devise ways to appropriately find her niche in what is steadily becoming an ever-so-competitive industry.

MORE ON STEPHANIE WHITE’S BUSINESS: https://www.amorousweddingsandevents.com/

“It has not always been good, because I have had my share of ups and downs,” White, a native of San Antonio, said. “I made sure I at least kept my business afloat. I started my business, because I have always had a passion for helping others. I enjoyed planning events and get-togethers when I was younger. I decided to become a wedding planner after I was told by another planner I was getting better deals than she was for my own wedding at the time. I thought about it and decided to give it a shot.”

To her credit, White — who holds a Criminal Justice degree from Arizona State — hasn’t looked back since. If nothing else, she’s going to great lengths to promote and enhance an event planning business that is attracting more of a global presence.

Never mind the potentially fatal encounter that transpired some two years ago.

NEAR TRAGEDY TO TRIUMPH — As White had ultimately realize during what appeared to be a dark season in her life, God was only trying and challenging her faith in ways she never imagine, in ways that were accompanied by a long periods of temporary inconveniences.

“My business took a huge down fall about two years ago when my family member was in a car accident,” White, who also holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Phoenix, explained. “It was devastating to both of my kids and our dog, Torpedo. I had to care for this family member and, boy, it was very hard to do.”

As White had ultimately realize during what appeared to be a dark season in her life, God was only trying and challenging her faith in ways she never envisioned, in ways that were accompanied by seemingly long periods of temporary inconveniences.

“Between sleeping at the hospital and managing home, it was too much to bare,” White recalled. “My daughter is 13 and son is 20. We had a long way to go, but I still tried to manage everything as a single mother.”

For White and her family, things would become seemingly more unbearable before they eventually took a turn for the better.

ON THE RIGHT PATH — To her credit, White — who holds a Criminal Justice degree from Arizona State — hasn’t looked back since. If nothing else, she’s going to great lengths to promote and enhance an events planning business that is attracting more of a global presence.

“During the same year of the accident, I had moved about four times,” White recalled. “We were staying at friends’ houses, and sometimes, I slept in the car with my dog while my daughter was at her friend’s house. It was cold and some nights were long nights.”

Still, giving up wasn’t merely an option, although the thought had apparently crossed White’s mind. Then  again, amongst the things with which she had to come to grips was that she had two children and the family pet depending on her — relying on her to stay strong, even when being strong was her only choice.

“I oftentimes thought I should just give up and run away. But I knew my kids needed me to be strong, so I carried on with tears in my eyes, not knowing where the next meal was going to be. I was good at hiding from my close friends. This was another eye-opener…people who I thought were there to support me never responded back to me. I was at my lowest and needed help, not a handout, but help figuring out what to do.” — Stephanie White

Even at her lowest point, even while being gripped and saddled by arguably the darkest season of her life, even when it seemed her faith was bleak and she struggled with declaring, “the hell with all of this turmoil,” God had eventually came to her rescue, thus provided her family — and the family pet — a way of escape.

GOD’S PLAN — With an itinerary that includes hosting bridal shows in early 2019 in Arizona, Florida, Maryland, and California, say this about White: she’s functioning mightily in her element with God, her Helper, leading the way.

“How many know when God has you standing still you stand, (you’ve got to) know he is God?” said White, sharing a setback-to-comeback story for the ages. “So I stood there in my tears. God moved. I soon had a place to stay.”

Fast forward a couple of years later, White was eventually introduced to divine purpose as God continued to show Himself strong.

“When I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree, I knew I needed to have a business,” White said. “I was the first one in my family who had a Business degree and the second to have a degree, period. This was my game changer. I was in it to win it.”

Much to her delight, she’s been winning ever since.

So have her children. Oh, and the dog, too.

With an itinerary that includes hosting bridal shows in early 2019 in Arizona, Florida, Maryland, and California, say this about White: she’s functioning mightily in her element with God, her Helper, leading the way.

“It is imperative for me to esteem and inspire others daily, because that is my purpose in life,” White said. “I have been through so much by my own choices. I have had a lot of heart breaks. This time, it’s about God and others.”

Not to mention her children.

Oh, and the dog, too.

MAJOR CAREER MILESTONE — In May 2018, Rhodes witnessed the much-anticipated release of her first book entitled, “The Nurse Echelon: A Victorious Nurse Anthology.”

For Rhodes, who currently resides in Tampa, her well-publicized track record as an RN has been nothing short of remarkable.

That’s because aside from customarily caring for and tending to those who are in dire need of medical help, Rhodes can be appropriately deemed a woman of many hats, considering she is a gifted author and public speaker.

In May 2018, Rhodes witnessed the much-anticipated release of her first book entitled, “The Nurse Echelon: A Victorious Nurse Anthology.”

Comprised of 220 pages, Rhodes’ “The Nurse Echelon: A Victorious Nurse Anthology” is centered mostly on the spiritually-enhancing subject that is victory, most notably how victory has been commonly defined as what she describes as the overcoming of an enemy or antagonist.

“In life, many of us have had to triumph over trials and tribulations to meet a particular goal in life,” said a spokesperson for Rhodes recently-released book at Amazon.com. “Those who do not allow hardships to defeat them have been known as overcomers. When it comes to becoming a nurse or enduring a nursing career, it is known that the schooling is rigorous, the work is tough, the shifts are long and there are some nights that we cannot sleep due to thinking about the shift before. This anthology was created to inspire women, nurses and future nurses to not give up when hard times come. You see, after the rain comes the sunshine.”

A pretty empowering synopsis of a scintillating written document that will be on display when Rhodes hosts her fourth book signing, this time on Saturday, October 20 at a Tampa-area Barnes And Noble.

“We’ll also be launching my 2nd Annual Nurses Book Drop, (during which) I (introduce) 10 nurses as authors,” Rhodes said. “Last year’s event was a huge success.”

A coaching business that went into full operations in November 2016, Rhodes emphasized, among other things, that her sustained success has come to fruition, courtesy of her fervent desire to esteem and inspire others daily.

TEAM RHODES — For Rhodes, who currently resides in Tampa, her well-publicized track record as an RN has been nothing short of remarkable. That’s because aside from customarily caring for and tending to those who are in dire need of medical help, Rhodes can be appropriately deemed a woman of many hats, considering she is a gifted author and public speaker.

“Having stayed the course and achieved my own dreams, I find joy in helping others attain theirs as well.” — Michelle Greene Rhodes

A business venture that mostly accommodates women ranging in ages 28 to 48, Rhodes has been afforded the golden opportunity to put her work-related gifts on display in a variety of places, even as far as in the Bahamas.

Interestingly, in May 2019, she will be empowering women in Paris, France along with internationally-acclaimed speaker, Cheryl Wood.

“Having stayed the course and achieved my own dreams, I find joy in helping others attain theirs as well,” Rhodes said.

Now we know why she’s fully aware of the purpose for which God has created her.

Former pro baseball icons to be honored during Joaquina Winslow’s inaugural Mayors And Players Gala Oct. 12

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES JOAQUINA WINSLOW

Joaquina Winslow isn’t just widely known as a notable ambassador throughout the Houston metropolitan area.

Interestingly, she’s a sports enthusiast in her own right.

So much, in fact, that Winslow’s Pure Urban Excellence LLC is will hold its inaugural Mayors And Players Gala.

BRIDGING MASSIVE GAPS — Longtime businesswoman Joaquina Winslow’s Pure Urban Excellence LLC is will hold its inaugural Mayors And Players Gala.

The event will take place on October 12 from 5 to 10 p.m. CST at Sugar Land Marriott Town Square, located at 16090 City Walk in Sugar Land, Texas.

A star-studded event that is expected to attract a host of politicians, as well as current and former professional athletes and sports media types, the Mayors And Players Gala will be centered largely on bridging the gap between athletes and politicians, particularly during an era in which social injustice is seemingly dominating headlines.

“This is a great chance for politicians to meet and interacts with the athletes,” Winslow, a native of Baton Rouge, told Making Headline News during a recent interview.

Most importantly, bridging what undoubtedly is a massive gap between these professionals will be the primary focus during this event, Winslow emphasized.

“It’s going to show that players and politicians can be in the same room,” said Winslow, an accomplished businesswoman who is the chief executive officer of the Baton Rouge-based Black Wall Street, a Christian-based movement that was founded in 2014.

Also, during Winslow’s inaugural gala, attendees will have the chance to witness former baseball legends, Grover “Deacon” Jones and J. R. Richard, share the platform, as well as be honored for their valiant contributions to professional sports and society.

PAVING THE WAY — A former Ithaca College star, Grover “Deacon” Jones threw right-handed, but batted left-handed and enjoyed an 11-year minor-league stint that began in 1955 through 1969, during which he batted .319 with 154 home runs and a slugging percentage of .528.

A retired player, coach, manager, and scout, Jones, 84, appeared in 40 Major League games as a first baseman and pinch hitter for the Chicago White Sox, first from 1962–63 and then in 1966.

A former Ithaca College star, Jones threw right-handed, but batted left-handed and enjoyed an 11-year minor-league stint that began in 1955 through 1969, during which he batted .319 with 154 home runs and a slugging percentage of .528.

Interestingly, Jones still holds the Midwest League record for the highest single-season batting average when he hit .409 for the Dubuque Packers in 1956. He also compiled 135 hits to accompany 26 homers and manufactured a .758 slugging percentage in only 330 at-bats.

LEAST WE FORGET — Selected with the second overall pick in the 1969 Amateur Draft by the Astros directly out of high school, J. R. Richard had ultimately made his Major League debut two seasons later, a stint that lasted through the end of the 1975 season.

As for Richard, 68, he also enjoyed a successful professional career as a starting pitcher in the big leagues from 1971 through 1980 as a member of the Houston Astros.

Selected with the second overall pick in the 1969 Amateur Draft by the Astros directly out of high school, Richard had ultimately made his Major League debut two seasons later, a stint that lasted through the end of the 1975 season.

While assuming a limited role with the Astros, Richard tossed no more than 72 innings in a season but, in 1975, he enjoyed his first full season in the majors as a starting pitcher.

SHE’S GOT CONNECTIONS —  Also, during Winslow’s inaugural gala, attendees will have the chance to witness former baseball legends, Grover “Deacon” Jones and J. R. Richard, share the platform, as well as be honored for their valiant contributions to professional sports and society.

As for her forthcoming gala, while Winslow is especially grateful to attract a gallery of big name political figures and former athletes, she emphasized that other pertinent issues and information will be addressed.

“A lot of stem cell therapy will be talked about,” said Winslow, referring to her Pure Urban Excellence movement. “So that’s an aspect I want to highlight as well.”

Prior to the start of the Mayors And Players Gala, a red carpet event will take place at 5 p.m.

South Carolina clergywoman Yolanda Townsend’s ‘next level’ finally emerges as a newly-installed Senior Pastor

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18 KJV)

Another much-anticipated harvest season, another heavenly supply of uncommon favor for Yolanda Townsend.

After a six-year stint as an Assistant Pastor for  Empowerment Worship Center in Greenville, South Carolina, Townsend is steadily witnessing God elevate her to immense heights, all the while she savors the fruits of her labor in the process.

“Over the years, I can look back over my life in ministry and see how the different areas made a huge impact and prepared me for this next level,” Townsend told Making Headline News this week.

GOD’S LEADING LADY — For Yolanda Townsend (center in pink dress), her ensuing level has finally arrived now that she has been christened the shepherd to steer a flock as Senior Pastor of Uncommon Favor Ministries in Anderson, South Carolina, a milestone she envisioned would come to fruition long before her forthcoming consecration service October 20, during which she will be officially installed to her new ministerial post.

For Townsend, the ensuing level has finally arrived now that she has been christened the shepherd to steer a flock as Senior Pastor of Uncommon Favor Ministries in Anderson, South Carolina, a milestone she envisioned would come to fruition long before her forthcoming consecration service October 20, during which she will be officially installed to her new ministerial post.

“The Lord started positioning me eight years ago while serving 20-plus years at a former church, Mt. Sinai World Outreach, then six years at Empowerment Worship Center,” Yolanda, a native of Anderson, South Carolina, explained. “The call to the office was there and I only needed to remove the fear and walk into it.”

Now that she’s just days away from stepping it up a spiritual notch, it’s safe to assume that all fear is gone for Townsend whom, given her immeasurable track record as a clergywoman, was destined to garner the Senior Pastor label the moment she had officially accepted her calling to preach the Gospel.

Yes… another much-anticipated harvest season, another heavenly supply of uncommon favor for such an illustrious time as now.

Never mind that Townsend had admittedly aspired to delve off into another spiritual direction, of sorts.

“After years of praying and seeking the Lord for His direction, He gave me the church name, Uncommon Favor Ministries,” Townsend said. “Even when I tried to seek out something different, the Holy Spirit continued to redirect me back to Uncommon Favor Ministries. It’s important to be sure to follow the direction and voice of God.”

NOT HER WILL, BUT HIS WILL — Now that she’s just days away from stepping it up a spiritual notch, it’s safe to assume that all fear is gone for Townsend whom, given her immeasurable track record as a clergywoman, was destined to garner the Senior Pastor label the moment she had officially accepted her calling to preach the Gospel.

That she steadfastly obeyed God’s command by sticking with the name of her church that’s located at 111 Market Place Drive in Anderson, for her valiant efforts — coupled with her impressive body of work in ministry — have given way to this soon-to-be newly-installed Pastor reaping that about which she has longed for ever since she was set aside for God’s use: uncommon favor.

“Over the years, I can look back over my life in ministry and see how the different areas made a huge impact and prepared me for this next level,” Townsend said. Working with various youth groups, women ministries, Aids Ministry, and serving food helped me to advance the gifts of help and teaching. Working with young girls gave me insight on what it is like doing life as a young saved girl, transitioning into womanhood. Having my personal ministry, DIVAS 4 Christ Ministries, helped me to be humble, to serve not only those within the church, but most importantly the community.”

SEASON OF GRACE OF AND FAVOR — That she steadfastly obeyed God’s command by sticking with the name of her church that’s located at 111 Market Place Drive in Anderson, for her valiant efforts — coupled with her impressive body of work in ministry — have given way to this soon-to-be newly-installed Pastor reaping that about which she has longed for ever since she was set aside for God’s use: uncommon favor.

Finally, the time has come for Townsend to assume a more strategic and massive role in ministry, an assignment that, quite frankly, shouldn’t have come as a surprise to anyone, considering serving God’s people has been figuratively tattooed to her life for as long as she can recall.

“Ministry is never easy, but it is rewarding. The fact in knowing that others within the surrounding communities and around the world are being blessed by my ministry is rewarding for me. My heart’s desire is to please God, because He comes first in my life and ministry. I want to encourage those whom the Lord has sent to sit under me, be connected to me, or as a mentee that no matter how difficult it looks, never give up. Giving up is not an option.” — Pastor Yolanda Townsend

Come October 20, Townsend won’t be thrust upon center stage alone.

As usual, her “best friend” and husband of 15 years, Christopher L. Townsend Sr., as well as the couple’s two children, Christian and Crystal, will stand alongside her as they will be officially dubbed the first family of Uncommon Favor Ministries.

FEED THEM — Finally, the time has come for Townsend to assume a more strategic and massive role in ministry, an assignment that, quite frankly, shouldn’t have come as a surprise to anyone, considering serving God’s people has been figuratively tattooed to her life for as long as she can recall.

“I can only imagine the nervous excitement that will fill the room along with the Lord’s presence,” said Townsend, describing what will likely go through your mind during her consecration. “Although I am nervously excited, I am also humbled at the fact that He chose me to deliver His message to the people. My mind will be racing with thoughts of making sure all is in place on that day, and more importantly, I just want the glory of God to fill the building.

“Ministry is never easy, but it is rewarding,” Townsend continued. “The fact in knowing that others within the surrounding communities and around the world are being blessed by my ministry is rewarding for me. My heart’s desire is to please God, because He comes first in my life and ministry. I want to encourage those whom the Lord has sent to sit under me, be connected to me, or as a mentee that no matter how difficult it looks, never give up. Giving up is not an option.”

ON TO THE NEXT KINGDOM ASSIGNMENT — After a six-year stint as an Assistant Pastor for  Empowerment Worship Center in Greenville, South Carolina, Townsend is steadily witnessing God elevate her to immense heights, all the while she savors the fruits of her labor in the process.

Because she was determined to stick with God, stay true to herself, and never give up, that next level she had envisioned for so long has finally arrived.

Virginia author LaShana Lloyd conquers slew of odds, shares testimonies in awe-inspiring books

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES LASHANA LLOYD

LaShana Lloyd undoubtedly aspires daily to live and savor a faith led life.

Literally and figuratively.

Consider, for instance, how Lloyd essentially drove home such an intriguing notion by way of a rather compelling Facebook post shortly after 8 a.m. EST on Sunday.

Said Lloyd in a spirited, thought-provoking post that was comprised of what she dubbed, “True Words of Wisdom:”

SET ASIDE FOR GOD’S USE — A well-respected military veteran, LaShana Lloyd is accomplished businesswoman and author, who has been blessed — and stayed true to herself — mightily, considering she has made her presence in the ever-so-popular world of authorship.

People will only have as much control as you allow them to have. If you keep letting a person hurt you, they will only hurt you more. If you keep letting a person use you, they will not stop using you. If you allow a person to get comfortable with disrespecting you, there’s a high possibility that they will not leave that place of acting like that toward you anytime soon. But the antidote to all of these problems and those similar to these is putting a stop to it. It’s as simple as that. When you understand who you are and how valuable of a person you are, you will no longer choose to settle for being treated less than that. Grow into the confidence God has given you and you will grow into the person He has created you to be, a person of worth.

Some pretty dauntless and awe-inspiring words by a devout woman of faith whom, to her credit, has remained true to herself both in the natural and spirit.

A well-respected military veteran, Lloyd is accomplished Woodbridge, Virginia businesswoman and author, who has been blessed — and stayed true to herself — mightily, considering she has made her presence in the ever-so-popular world of authorship.

A native of Clio, South Carolina, Lloyd is amongst 22 writers who joined forces to compose the book entitled, “You Have No Idea The Hell I’ve Been Through,” a collaborative and informative written document whereby they miraculously spoke about how God steered them from what they described as pain to purpose.

For Lloyd, her assortment of emotionally-driven, life-changing testimonies have benefited and enhanced not only her faith walk with God, but rather those whom, by all accounts, have endured similar experiences.

“To give my testimonies about how I overcame witnessing my father abuse my mother, being sexually abused as a child, and being black balled from the military,” said Lloyd, during a weekend interview with Making Headline News, when asked what is her purpose for choosing to collaborate last summer with a host of authors to compose You Have No Idea The Hell I’ve Been Through.

PURCHASE LASHANA LLOYD’S BOOK HERE: https://www.amazon.com/Whats-Blocking-Your-Confidence-Effective/dp/1946756350/

Not to be outdone, Lloyd is also responsible for having written yet another remarkably compelling book, this one entitled, “What’s Blocking Your Confidence: Effective Ways To Conquer Your Fears.”

Powered by Rejoice Essential Publishing, Lloyd’s “What’s Blocking Your Confidence: Effective Ways To Conquer Your Fears” was officially released on August 11, 2018, and is centered largely on this Christian-based writer providing some pertinent information, most notably that which fear, as well as the essential tools needed to walk in the confidence that God has given us.

This book also speaks about a great deal of transparency shared by Lloyd, particularly during which she was once bound by fear and how God miraculously delivered her from it.

THE ROMANS 8:18 FACTOR — A native of Clio, South Carolina, Lloyd is amongst 22 writers who joined forces to compose the book entitled, “You Have No Idea The Hell I’ve Been Through,” a collaborative and informative written document whereby they miraculously spoke about how God steered them from what they described as pain to purpose.

“There is hope for those who believe that living in fear is the way of life,” said a spokesperson in a detailed breakdown of Lloyd’s What’s Blocking Your Confidence: Effective Ways To Conquer Your Fears at Amazon.com. “You no longer have to be bound by fear. You can be set free. In this book, you will understand what fear is, and how the enemy (satan) is using fear against you. Find out what happens when you allow fear to override your faith.”

As expected, the feedback since the much-anticipated releases of these books have been overwhelmingly favorable, Lloyd acknowledged.

BASKING IN GOD’S GLORY — As expected, the feedback since the much-anticipated releases of these books have been overwhelmingly favorable, Lloyd acknowledged.

“I was blown away at how so many women told me my story touched them,” Lloyd said. “They were shocked at the things I had went through and how God was able to heal me from all of the pain, betrayal, and fears that I had gone through. So many women are embarrassed by the challenges they had to face — and that’s exactly what the enemy wants — but because of my transparency, so many women and men can be set free, stay free, and receive the confidence that God has for them.”

Having accepted what she labels her God-mandated calling to authorship in 2015, Lloyd doesn’t shy away from the notion that God is using her as a vessel to write in such a fashion that her immeasurable gifts would ultimately to draw others to or back to Him.

“The Father told me that He did not allow me to go through everything that I went through to watch me suffer,” said Lloyd, adding that she’s currently fielding speaking engagement requests to promote of her books. “He allowed me to go through everything that I have gone through so that it can be used to help others, especially women. I have a passion to encourage women all over the world.

THE LORD’S DOING — Having accepted what she labels her God-mandated calling to authorship in 2015, Lloyd doesn’t shy away from the notion that God is using her as a vessel to write in such a fashion that her immeasurable gifts would ultimately to draw others to or back to Him.

“Encouraging others with the words that I write and speak is how I am able to not only become stronger every time I release these words, but how others can gain the strength and confidence that they need so that their testimony can come forth as well.”

Eloquently said by this devout woman of faith, one who undoubtedly aspires daily to live and savor a faith led life.

Literally and figuratively.

South Carolina author Ayan Mobley’s new book provides a unique twist to military life for single mothers

MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES AYAN MOBLEY

Amongst Ayan Mobley’s resolutions heading into 2018 was to start and finish her first book.

Much to her delight, she’s done just that, having composed a rather informative and compelling project that figures to impact single mothers from various walks of life.

“The reason for producing my book was to share awareness concerning life as a single parent, as well as an African-American female drill sergeant from the perspective of a child,” Mobley told Making Headline News this week.

MOBLEY’S MAKING MUCH NOISE — A project that is uncharacteristically short in length — 28 pages to be technical — Ayan Mobley’s new book entitled, “My Mommy Is A Drill Sergeant,” is a little more than a month removed from its much-anticipated release and, to her credit, it has already created an awe-inspiring buzz.

The book to which Mobley is alluding is her recently-released written document entitled, “My Mommy Is A Drill Sergeant.”

A project that is uncharacteristically short in length — 28 pages to be technical — Mobley’s “My Mommy Is A Drill Sergeant” is a little more than a month removed from its much-anticipated release and, to her credit, it has already created an awe-inspiring buzz.

PURCHASE AYAN MOBLEY’S BOOK HERE: https://www.amazon.com/Mommy-Drill-Sergeant-Ayan-Mobley/dp/1732613109

A MUST READ — To her credit and because of the divine calling on her life, it’s safe to assume that Mobley’s testimonies are having influential impacts amongst military moms around the country — and even outside of the United States.

“I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from people in my own demographic, as well as others who are not familiar with the lifestyle of a military family,” Mobley, a native of Washington, D. C. who currently resides in Columbia, South Carolina. “Women in the military still seem to be a new concept for many people.”

That black women have found their way into various branches of the military is something that should never be taken for granted, much less overlooked, Mobley hinted.

“Black female drill sergeants in the Army were not as common as they are right now, and being a single parent as a drill sergeant is completely new. Most people are amazed by the amount of activities that a person in my position accomplishes in the course of a day or what my job entails.” — Drill Sergeant Ayan Mobley

RAISING THE BAR — That black women have found their way into various branches of the military is something that should never be taken for granted, much less overlooked, Mobley hinted.

That Mobley is afforded the luxury to juggle her assortment of duties as a well-respected drill sergeant and a devoted mother, it is due in large part to her valiant contributions regarding these trends that essentially have brought about a renewed sense of enthusiasm for a number of women, particularly those whom likewise serve their country as single mothers.

“I never thought in a million years that I would be a drill sergeant or be able to be a great influence on others,” Mobley said. “Sometimes, God causes you to have certain experiences so that you can be a testimony to others.”

To her credit and because of the divine calling on her life, it’s safe to assume that Mobley’s testimonies are having influential impacts amongst military moms around the country — and even outside of the United States.

STANDING OVATION — “I have gotten a lot of positive feedback from people in my own demographic, as well as others who are not familiar with the lifestyle of a military family,” Mobley, a native of Washington, D. C. who currently resides in Columbia, South Carolina. “Women in the military still seem to be a new concept for many people.”

“Being a drill sergeant as a single parent is one of the hardest task that I have completed to date, and without His grace and mercy, I would not have been able to accomplish the things that I have accomplished, and been able to have the necessary experience, and know how to be inspired to write a book about my experiences and share what I have been through with others,” Mobley said. “Raising a child alone should never stop you from being the best you can be, and I have been able to do it with God’s help.”

Now for this notable disclaimer, Mobley acknowledged.

“I know that God has so much more in store for me,” she said without hesitation. “I do plan to make my children’s book a series that’s geared toward letting everyone have a glimpse on what it feels like for a child to grow up in a military community especially as a minorities. I am also in the process of creating a blog entitled, ‘Military Mocha Mommy,’ which is a blog that shares resources and experiences about raising children as an African-American female service member.”

For what it’s worth, Mobley is especially grateful of the fact that she has been blessed to carry out her long-awaited vision in the form of a book, which is continuous, yet brief page-turner.

“The divine message that I am sending to my audience is the importance of family and the importance of children knowing what their parents do for a living and the fact that we set the example for our children,” Mobley said. “Our children are watching and emulating everything we do.”

Mobley also has announced the startup of her forthcoming organization called, “Military Mocha Mommy,” which will center largely on providing support and resources for military mothers and their families.

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS — That Mobley is afforded the luxury to juggle her assortment of duties as a well-respected drill sergeant and devoted mother, it is due in large part to her valiant contributions regarding these trends that essentially have brought about a renewed sense of enthusiasm for a number of women whom likewise serve their country as single mothers.

As for her itinerary, Mobley will be on hand for the Child Youth Services of Fort Jackson on September 24, during which she will be hosting a presentation and reading her book.

Also, Mobley said additional speaking engagements and round table discussions are presently in the works.
