“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” (Romans 8:37)
HOUSTON — Approximately six years ago this month, God strategically instilled within Denecia Abear a vision, one that, fortunately for her, changed the overall landscape of her life.
All things considered, what was mostly intriguing and downright gratifying about this vision was that the very moment Abear had become spiritually impregnated with it, she was destined to give birth to it, even if it meant she had to defy the toughest of odds.
And so it came to pass that upon the discovery of her life-enhancing vision, Abear — a then-aspiring author — began her quest to assemble a book that, given the favorable responses of late, would greatly enrich and enhance lives.
The chief executive officer of Shekinah Glory Publishing, Abear is the mastermind behind the book entitled, “Faces of Her Heart: The Truth Behind My Brokenness.”
A much-anticipated published document that took roughly one to complete, according to Abear, “Faces of Her Heart: The Truth Behind My Brokenness” deals largely with an embodiment of hope for the individual facing life’s most challenging obstacles, according to an introduction on the book’s Facebook page.
In addition, Abear, a two-time cancer survivor, has taken her reading audience on a journey that is comprise, among other things, of what she describes as the most intimate areas of her life and her heart, according to a spokesperson for her debut book.
By and large, Abear’s book also addresses what she describes as a life riddled with pain that stemmed largely from her bouts of rejection, abandonment, abuse, rape, neglect, betrayal and low self-esteem or, as she eloquently explains, a heart that was broken, wounded, snatched out and stepped on only to be healed by God and made whole again.
“‘Faces of Her Heart’” is for the woman who has mastered the art of masking her pain while losing the authenticity of her true identity,” Abear, a native of Houston, told Making Headline News this week.
Moreover, Faces of Her Heart, she added, is for the individual who has either lost hope or is on the verge of giving up.

“Throughout the pages of this book, you will see God shows up at the hardest moments and shine light on every dark situation,” Abear said. “From two bouts of cancer, to divorce, and so much more, you will find that Denecia Abear is a true overcomer!”
To her credit, the feedback regarding her tear-jerking, spiritually gut-checking book has been favorable, in large part because Abear — a devout woman of faith and the Founder of ministry My End God’s Beginning Ministries — appeared transparent in sharing her life-changing testimonies.
“The feedback has been wonderful and encouraging because people have not been able to put the book down and have read it within two to four hours,” said Abear, who fielded an array of support from her spiritual mother, longtime Houston-area evangelist and notable author Dr. Sugar Trask. “People have laughed and cried and been blessed because of my transparency and willingness to expose my skeletons.”
Generally, amongst the vital points of emphasis Abear is sending to her audience is that people who are bound and spiritually incarcerated by life’s toughest of problems and issues must adopt the notion that Jesus Christ is the Supreme Healer and Miracle Worker for which He is widely known.
“My purpose in life is to help others to see God as a healer,” Abear explained. “As a two-time cancer winner, God has proven time and time again that this is my purpose. I endured the suffering and sickness to display the glory of God as His vessel in the earth.”
All of which practically sums up why Abear is destined to continue her newfound admiration for writing and, most of all, tell of God’s in the process.
“I have helped others to write and publish their books,” said Abear, esteeming others highly than herself, as we are commanded, according to Philippians 2:3.
In addition, she revealed that her second, third and fourth books — (second) N. O.W. – New Options For Winning, (third) Words of Wisdom For Warrior Women and (fourth) Answer to Cancer: Jesus Heals — are currently in the works:
“I also in the midst of ghost writing several other books for new and upcoming authors,” Abear said.
All while continuing to fortify that God-mandated vision — one that, fortunately for her, has changed the overall landscape of her life.
