MAKING HEADLINE NEWS WELCOMES DELCINE THOMAS
Much to her delight, it wasn’t until after Delcine Thomas returned to the states after a rather stellar, memorable tenure in the military that she God’s strategically introduced her to her next notable assignment.
All things considered and fortunately for her, it undoubtedly has been a life-changing experience.
“After coming home when my tour ended with my civilian oversea job and after serving in the military, that physically gave me the drive (to start my business),” Thomas told Making Headline News this week. “I had been writing in my journal about the things I want to do, so I stepped (out on faith) and created my business.”
And the rest, as they say, was history.
That’s because upon returning to U. S. soil, Thomas’ quest to erect a business had come full circle, considering she is now the proud owner and chief executive officer of the IYD Boutique.
IYD is the acronym for Imagine Your Dreams.
A Houston-based establishment that is comprised of an online store, Thomas’ IYD Boutique is widely known for accommodating women, particularly those seeking to purchase costume jewelry, T-shirts, watches, rings, ear rings, necklaces, scarves, pendants, bracelets, stone, silver, and gold accessories, among other things.

Given the immense strides she’s made since her business went into full operations, Thomas emphasized, among other things, that she’s greatly inspired daily to inspire and empower women from various walks of life to connect with their worth through fashion.
“Knowing that you can or when you can do something to help change a person’s life, that pushes you to do more,” Thomas, a native of Baltimore, said. “Also, seeing and know that there are other organizations and businesses that support and help people, I wanted to do the same.”
Interestingly, it’s safe to assume that Thomas’ business venture often affords her the golden opportunity to meet people where they are, particularly when times for them are.
“I had a family member that was on drugs and I want to be the one that help her after she life her rehab center” said Thomas, being as transparent as she could. “Women and men and their families need support after the fact. So my business will donate funds to other organizations to support woman and men so they can continue improving their life with the help of other organizations.”
A 1995 graduate of Baltimore’s Edmondson-Westside High School, Thomas subsequently joined the military, where she enjoyed an impressive stint as a member of the Army National Guard before having retired by way of an honorable discharge.
Then from 2012 to 2014, she enrolled at ITT Technical Institute, where she eventually earned an Associate’s Degree in Network Systems Administration.
Two year later, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems and Cyber Security.
As for her latest endeavor, Thomas said what she loves the most about her boutique is that she routinely is afforded the opportunity to accommodate countless of individuals through her latest line of fashion and accessories.
“And that’s what get me excited,” Thomas said. “(And I love it) when I go shopping and see other woman get excited about something they like.”
By and large, Thomas said her ability to combine wisdom and appreciation for fashion has given way to sustained success for her business.
“That has given me affordability and a true belief to realize that all women deserve the best when it comes to feeling and looking good without the burden of the hefty price,” said Thomas, who venture caters to consumers ranging mostly in ages 20 to 65.
Behind the valiant support of her husband, Ronnie Thomas, as well as a host of Pastors — most notably David Brown, Bishop I. V. Hilliard, and Bishop E. Bernard Jordan — Thomas has managed to make her dream through entrepreneurship a reality.
“I think everyone one should have something the can depend on besides a job just in case something goes wrong,” Thomas said. “I feel that we all have gifts and talents inside of us…God-given (gifts and talents). “No one should have more control over your life than you.”
