Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)
SHE GOT THAT WRIGHT
As far as the above Biblical passages goes, Shurvone Wright can greatly attest that God is doing a new thing in her.
Consider, for instance, how God has strategically set this West Coast-area author aside for His use, most notably through her featured book entitled, Live Beyond Fear: How To Start Over When You Least Expect It.
In a rather appropriate play on words, Wright’s much-anticipated breakthrough occurred when she least expected it, a memorable, life-altering development she discloses in her latest book, which debuted earlier this year.
An awe-inspiring book Wright began composing in 2018, this Brentwood, California-based writer needed somewhere in the neighborhood of two years to complete a book that has been as good as advertised.
“I always thought of writing, but was afraid and did not know how,” Wright, during an interview this week with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that contributed mightily to her quest of becoming an author.
To her credit, once Wright had rid herself of the dreaded spirit of fear, she subsequently had taken yet another massive step toward her destiny, a feat that, much to her delight, has given way to her having blossomed into a brilliantly talented author.

“I originally did not even think of sharing my story until I was approached by a friend with an opportunity to share and be a part of a book project in 2018,” Wright explained.
Once Wright, an accomplished entrepreneurship, had diligently exercised her faith through her newfound gift as a writer, the rest, as they say, was history.
Wright’s name has graced the pages of four books to date. As she explained, her mission for having delved off into the ever-so-competitive world of authorship is to empower women to become better versions of themselves.
“(I’m committed) to help other women,” said Wright, when asked what is the single, most underlying reason she chose to produce her featured book.
Not to be outdone, Wright has become a fixture for other compelling written works.
Just last year, after contributing to the book entitled, Women Who Soar, which was orchestrated by Paulette Harper, Wright consequently graced the pages of Fearless Women Rock: Courageous Women Find Strength During The Storm, a No. 1 bestselling book that was spearheaded by empowerment extraordinaire, BreakFree Coach Dr. Missy Johnson.
And, just recently, Wright was amongst 90 co-authors to take part in Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways to Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional, which debuted in August 2020.
A book that is comprised of 191 pages in length, Finding Joy In the Journey: Healthy Ways To Navigate Grief 90 Day Devotional is engineered by longtime author Vernessa Blackwell whereby these writers strategically engage in real talk about love, loss, grief and healing, among other pertinent topics.
As for Fearless Women Rock: Courageous Women Find Strength During The Storm, this anthology was birthed Dr. Johnson, a reinvention strategist who miraculously survived a three-percent chance of living and 47 days in a coma from a near-death experience that stemmed from an infection in her body.
A book that was assembled by 13 women, Fearless Women Rock: Courageous Women Find Strength During The Storm is a collection of personal stories, many of which depict their proverbial tragedy to triumph experiences.
“God will get you through anything that you don’t have to live in fear and feel stuck,” said Wright, alluding to her contributions of Dr. Johnson’s anthology. “God is always with you.
Generally, the feedback Wright has garnered since she has become an author has been overwhelmingly favorable.
“(People have said) that my story has encouraged them to take a leap of faith and go after their dreams,” Wright said. “(I want) to help others know that no matter what, you can do all things through Christ. I was placed on earth to help others know that no matter what happens in your life, there is always hope.”
An accomplished entrepreneur who owns a financial practice that specializes in higher education, retirement planning, as well as helping families prepare for the future by protecting and preserving what is important to them and providing tools to leave a legacy, Wright and her family have been residents of Brentwood for six years.
She has since joined the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce and, after serving as a Board of Director of the Chamber, she is currently the Ambassador Chair. Also, Wright is a member of the Brentwood Rotary, the Soroptimist of the Delta, and is an active member for her church.
Interestingly, Wright’s entrepreneurial responsibilities include teaching women entrepreneurs and business owners how to strategically grow their respective business. This is done by using social media marketing tools and strategies, thus providing digital tools to help attract their ideal clientele.
“I enjoy helping women to transition into the online and social media platforms by guiding and supporting their clients through coaching, mentoring, books, online classes and membership program,” Wright said.
