I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill; but time and chance happen to them all. (Ecclesiastes 9:11 NKJV)
SEASON OF THE REBIRTH
DALLAS — For starters, LaTambria Johnson had already begun the brainstorming phase for a solo-authored book she plans to release sometime in the upcoming year.
Then, in the middle of an unprecedented global pandemic that led to days of quarantining, God strategically introduced her to another awe-inspiring vision.
“I am a part of an amazing encouragement group called, Intentional Women, on Facebook,” Johnson, during a recent interview with Making Headline News, said, recalling the memorable developments that have contributed to quest to becoming an author. Several times while touring the group page, I saw the flyer come across about joining this amazing collaborative book opportunity to share part of your testimony and encourage other women.”
As Johnson vividly recalls, she couldn’t seem to shift her focus away from that social media image, which provided some pertinent information about the collaborative book project.
“In the process, I had already sat down and started brainstorming for my private book,” Johnson explained. “I let the flyer pass a few days and, like clockwork, it appeared one day during quarantine of this pandemic and I prayed on it. Instantly I heard God say, ‘It is time.’”

And, just like that, Johnson’s much-anticipated authorship debut was well underway with God, her Helper, providing the increase.
A native of Dallas, Johnson, 36, is one of a gallery of Christian-based co-authors who have joined forces to share of their life-altering testimonies in One Dae At A Time: A 365 Daily Devotional Of Declarations, Affirmations and Encouragement For Women.
A book that is speared by visionary, Florida businesswoman Kimberly M. Solomon, Johnson recalls specifically how God had blessed her mightily amid the disheartening 2013 death of her son, Amari Aubre’ Carter, to whom she had given birth at just 24 weeks.
Since her son’s untimely demise, Johnson has become an ambassador for bringing about awareness to infant and child loss, particularly in October, which recognizes Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness.
One Dae At A Time: A 365 Daily Devotional Of Declarations, Affirmations and Encouragement For Women was officially released in September 2020.
For Johnson, a longtime State Board Registered Dental Assistant, her rise to becoming a published author comes amid what she describes as a temporary spirit of fear, of sorts.
But God, Who has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love, and of a sound mind, as this devout woman of faith was ultimately reminded.
“I had been wanting to share (my story), but was afraid to because I did not think it was time,” Johnson said. “But, this time God told me, and I had to. Infant loss is near and dear to my heart, and I knew this was my opportunity to share with other women that you will get through it and you will grow through it.”
Johnson was approached with the opportunity to join the One Dae At A Time: A 365 Daily Devotional Of Declarations, Affirmations and Encouragement For Women anthology in May of this year, an experience she said is a microcosm of how God has strategically enlarged her territory in recent years.
Aside from her Corporate American gig, Johnson is the owner and CEO of Tam’s Sweet Treats And More, a venture that is widely known for providing consumers with a variety of sweets, most notably cakes, teacakes, chocolate covered sweets and, of course, its assortment of delectable and mouthwatering cupcakes.
A business that has garnered a national presence in recent months, Johnson’s Tam’s Sweet Treats And More was established after she had spent a better part of childhood watching her grandmother bake desserts in the confines of her kitchen, a trend that had ultimately fueled her desire to follow in her massive footsteps.
Johnson’s grandmother passed away in October 2001.

As for her having finally made her authorship debut, Johnson doesn’t shy away from the notion that such an intriguing opportunity appropriately aligns with the divine purpose for which she was created.
“God has spared my life so many times and has taken me through so many trials to build an amazing testimony,” Johnson says without hesitation. “I feel it my duty to use my voice and knowledge to share that testimony and encourage others. We may not go through the exact same things in life, but you never know how your testimony can help someone else.”
Just recently, Johnson joined another anthology, this one entitled, The Lesson In Me, a project’s being assembled by fellow Texas businesswoman and radio personality Brenda Flores Robles.
Also, Johnson’s colleagues will host a book signing on her behalf at a date and time to be announced.
