“Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions. (Joel 2:28 NLT)
DALLAS — During an exclusive earlier this week with Making Headline News, Tangela Freeman was asked to assess what was a memorable upbringing in the church.
Exhibiting a rather forthright countenance, Freeman wasted little time cutting straight to the point about a subject that, given her immeasurable faith walk with Almighty God, essentially sums up why she has evolved into the progressive, thriving woman of God for which she is widely known.
In a nutshell, she’s widely regarded as a trailblazer, one who’s accustomed to shaking a nation and impacting a generation — with God, her Helper, leading the way.
“I was brought up under the Baptist umbrella, which was very traditional and religious,” Freeman recalled. “I would say I was in a cave because I was getting nurtured, but I wasn’t getting fed.”
For what it’s worth, that Freeman deemed it essential to fortify a sense of transparency while reminiscing about her training in the church has benefited her mightily throughout the years, particularly as it pertains to answering her God-mandated calling by erecting her own ministry.
A native of Dallas, Freeman is the Founder of Tangela Freeman Ministries, which is powered through her Devil I Changed My Mind Ministries.
Having become baptized with the Holy Ghost at the tender age of 16, Freeman consequently took the hedges, highways, and byways when she began preaching and spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ approximately two years later.
To her distinctly unique credit and because of the divine purpose for which God created her, it’s safe to assume that she’s been a woman after God’s own heart ever since.
“As a little girl, I felt the hand of God upon my life and I knew that He was going to use me,” Freeman said. “It wasn’t until the age of 16 when I transitioned into the Pentecostal Church that it was evident and clear that I was a Prophet.”
As it turned out, she was right. And don’t think for one single solitary second that Freeman’s just blabbing and boasting about the ministry about which she presently dwells because, for the record, she has a life-altering, inspiring, tear-jerking testimony as valid proof.
Consider, for example, how it wasn’t until she had become spiritually imprisoned by a lifestyle that was comprised of heavy usage of marijuana, alcohol, ecstasy pills, raw (sex), stripping, lesbianism, not to mention a spirit of rebellion — all of which truth be told, had greatly thrust her into divine destiny.
Not to be outdone by a lifestyle that was mired by a slew of spiritual — and natural — roadblocks, it wasn’t until sometime in 2005 during which Freeman was in a nightclub that God had miraculously and strategically commissioned her to return to the fivefold (ministry) with power, accuracy, and demonstration, as she admittedly recalled like yesterday.
All things considered and because of what she had to conquer and survive, she is widely regarded as Prophetess Tangela D. Freeman, in large part because of what many have described as her well sought after Apostolic and Prophetic voice.
Moreover, it is, by all accounts, because of her longstanding and prophetic ministry that she is afforded the golden opportunity to function as a mantle, of sorts, one who customarily teaches, preaches, activates, imparts spiritual wisdom and knowledge, all while advancing the kingdom in the process — the best way she know how.
“Her ultimate focus, plan, and purpose are to intercept and see a move of God in the Kingdom, in regions, in the nation, and in the utter most parts of the world,” said a spokesperson for Tangela Freeman Ministries. “Although gifted by God to serve in many other facets of ministry, her heart’s desire is to see the people of God loosed from bondage, tradition, religion, and introduced to a life of freedom and spirituality.”
Credit the fact that Freeman hails from what she describes as three generations of Kingdom Ambassadors, Pastors, and Leaders. And, following a three-year stint of intense Prophetic training and strategic development under the leadership of Dr. Juanita Bynum at what is known as “The Wearhouse” in Atlanta, it wasn’t until shortly thereafter that Freeman began to witness her ministry soar to immense heights.
For starters, she had officially accepted her call as a Prophet. Then just last year, she was ordained and licensed by Overseer Debra Cotton as a legal Prophet, a notable development that only added credibility and accountability to her God-endorsed assignment.
The granddaughter of a Pastor, Prophetess Freeman is currently a member of A Tree of Life Fellowship in nearby Arlington, Texas, a ministry whereby she serves as House Prophet under the leadership of Apostle Tony and Pastor LaSherrie Ervin and the covering of Prophet Jonathan and Lady Amanda Ferguson.
A ministry that has been organized on a solid and immeasurable foundation, Prophetess Freeman is steadily devising ways to advance what is shaping up to be an internationally-acclaimed organization, as evidenced by her recent and much-anticipated appearance on The Sherry Bronson International ROKU TV Show.
A segment that was staged on various message boards and social media sites, the footage has amassed more than 4,700 views.
Interestingly, Freeman’s ministry is comprised of a Mentorship Program as well as a School of Intercession, Prophetic, Deliverance, Mantles, and Supernatural.
In addition, TFM includes what is known as the ME Network, a co-ed ministry that stands for: (Mary•Elizabeth•Elijah•Elisha)
Also, TFM conducts Life Coach Sessions, a Fire Zone Clarion Prayer Call that typically takes place once a week, and a service called “Fire Zone,” which is held once a month and, in 2018, Prophetess Freeman will be launching G. L. I. Y. — the acronym for Greatness Lies In You — which is a mentorship program for young girls ages 12 and older.
“I’m out of the cave,” said Freeman, assessing the constant progression of her ministry. “Just like Joseph, those who put me in the pit had to cancel the funeral because when they came back to get me. I wasn’t where they left me. I’ve been mantled for the mandate.”
In a nutshell, she’s only keeping it real.
